[SOLVED]Firefox defaulting to Gnash, how do I point it to flashplugin?

Hi,
I feel really stupid that I can't figure this out, but something I did caused Firefox to default to Gnash for flash content. So how do I find the location of the flashplugin so I can point firefox to it in preferences.
Please note that Opera is still using Adobe Flash Player 10 and it is working fine.
Also Pacman -Q flashplugin gives me flashplugin 10.0.22.87-1
If it's not too much trouble can somebody tell me not just where the file should be located, but also the methods used to find it. I have tried whereis and find to no avail.

If you have more than one plugin for a specific content firefox picks the latest one ( the library with the mtime more recent ).
I switch between adobe flash and libswfdec by "touching" the library i want to use under /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/

How to increase Firefox default page zoom setting?

Changed my computer's default DNS server from Comcast to OpenDNS.
A side effect, webpages appear in Firefox as if I had reduced them via the Ctrl minus keys. To get back to a comfortable appearance I now have to hit Ctrl plus keys.
Anybody know how to set Firefox default page zoom to a larger setting? Thank You.

Is FF downloading the file as a .txt file? If so, go to "Folder Options" in the windows control panel. Click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you reach the TXT file extension. Look to see what that extension opens with (lower part of panel). It probably shows notepad. Click on the <Change> button. Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Word." Select it and click the <OK> button. That should show the TXT extension is now associated with Microsoft Word. Click the <Close> button at the bottom of the panel.
If FF is downloading the file as any other type, use the same process as above except look for the corresponding extension instead. If the extension is not listed click on the <New> button and create an association using the extension in the file name and then associate it with MS Word.

When I open a new tab/window its blank. I have Firefox open to my home page Google, and I want the new tab/window to default open to that if I haven't chosen a web site to go to in the new Tab/window.

You have multiple old Java Console extensions that Java did not clean-up during updates. You need Java Console only if you do Java programming/development or debug Java applets on web pages. You can see them in Add-ons > Extensions, '''''but you can not remove them from there'''''. Removing them will not affect the functioning of Java on websites. You can '''''manually''''' remove them, '''''if you do not do Java development work''''' to avoid future, possible problems/conflicts:

Why has Yahoo! installed itself as default search engine behind Firefox 'front page' and how do I turn it off?

Yahoo search engine seems to have imposed itself as default search engine whenever I open a new tab or use the small search pane on top right of screen. Is this a Firefox default setting and, if not, how can I switch it off?

Yahoo has taken over my search engine also. so far I have removed the Yahoo choice from Manage Search Engines. I have Google as the first choice but it still opens in Yahoo.

Firefox thinks I am in Indonesia, how do I reset this to in US (all sites I access from firefox default to Indonesian, e.g. google and yahoo). I have cleared the cache. This does not happen on explorer on same laptop.

I am based in the US. Since a business trip to Jakarta, everything I bring up in Firefox defaults to Indonesia, e.g. yahoo comes up in Indonesian id.yahoo.com, google displays as google.co.id.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

Previous suggestions were to update the Security Manager if there was one. There were also these add ons:

How to put focus directly on Google text box instead of the address bar when opening a new tab? The goal is to start typing directly after a Ctrl + T and use the Google Instant feature.

[Solved] Need help with Gnash

Seeing as how Gnash 0.8.8 was released and they are saying all youtube videos work on their project page, I figured I would dump Flash 10.0.x for that. So after installing the gnash-common package nether Chromium or Seamonkey lists the Gnash plugin in their "about:plugins" page. Is there anything special I need to do in order to get it to work?

For me it did work, kind of. Did you compile it with the options? http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/d47j2/
360p and 720p were fine with vaapi but not as smooth as it could have been. CPU usage is also 100% but at least the video runs WAY better than without vaapi.
480p is broken with vaapi like the reddit link states.
1080p has like 1 fps with or without vaapi.
Also the youtube player is not fully functional. You can't use the "make it bigger" - button and the progress bar is not really working.
I'll stay with flash for now.
edit: If you want firefox to use gnash INSTEAD of flashplugin, then it's easiest to just pacman -R flashplugin.
Given the problems with Gnash it is still better than flash considering I'm on a 64 bit machine and therefore stuck with flash 10.0.x, I would prefer something that has problems but gets updates over something that has security issues and won't be fixed. (Same reason I switched to Linux from windows years ago )
As for the "make it bigger" button as long as full screen works, just tested and it does, then I think I can live
