[Solved] Forum pm or Forum report function

Hello,
I have been looking for a way to use a forum pm function but can' t seem to find one. Do these forums not have this feature, or is it possibly post-count dependent?
Per forum rules, certain issues must be handled privately, which of course I understand. We are advised of the correct procedure:
"If you feel that an egregious oversight has been made, use the forum report function or pm the moderator group. Please do not post complaints on the forum."
However I cannot find either function.
Could somebody point me in the right direction?

We don't use pm - e-mail is enough.
Try searching with the "search-on-page" function in your browser. ('/' in firefox by default). 'Report ' is in the bottom right-hand corner of the box w/ your (and my) post - it's silver so it may a bit hard to see against a gray background - it's right next to 'Quote'.

I think the best idea is to contact the book publishers, let them know that Adobe Digital Editions is not capable of delivering their book to you, and ask in what other, more reliable formats they can provide it.

Report generation Toolkit: Excel report functions error -2146827284

Hi,
I'm trying to create an automated report using excel functions from the report generation toolkit in labVIEW. When I run the program that generates the report first time round (the report consists of several worksheets, each worksheet is added onto the report at a diffferent state in a state machine) it always works fine and no error is generated. However, when I run the program again it will infrequently (sometimes it does, other times it will not) generate the undefined error -2146827284, this is coming from one of the excel report functions and it cannot find it on highlight execution mode.
Does anyone know anything about this error, why it occurs, how to prevent it?
I would appreciate any help.

You should use the Application Quit method instead of killing the task. I doubt this is the cause of your issue.

You need the template for techical specs? Your question is not clear. If you are asking for templates, I don't think they can be shared in a common forum like this.
We can give you an idea as to how it can be prepared, but I guess you will already have templates for your documentation in your company portal.

MS office report function does not work after building the appication

I use the MS office report function with a custom excel template my application.
It works properly in de developstate, but after building the application it does not work .

What error message if any did you get? It could be a couple things:
1. Did you include the Report Toolkit's dynamic vis in the app's build process?

2. How are you giving the path to you custom template, as a relative or an absolute path? The path will be different for the .exe. You have to strip twice.

REPORT FUNCTION

IN THE CFREPORT report builder there isa Report
function...when i return a query with 2 field....it cannot be done?
is it for the report function only can return 1 value

While it's true that there is nothing built in to ApEx that would allow you to create a report writer per-se, there is nothing stopping you from doing this yourself.
You can start out with something really basic, like a SQL editor text area and a report region that uses that SQL to generate the report. You can see an example of how that would look here:

I'm wondering is there any built-in audit report functionality in oam without crystal report or any other outside report tools?

OAM has very limited Audit functionality when it comes to comply the industry standards. It all depends on what exactly you are trying to Audit.
- If you are looking for OAM Components Diagnostics - Refer to Access System - System Management - Diagnostics
- If you are looking to track the access reports of users - Refer to Access System - System Management - Manage Reports. You can create custom reports in this section to track who accessed what and when?
- If you are looking to track the system statistics like number of AU/AZ, LDAP calls, SLA's, Health Monitoring - You can use Oracle Enterprise Manager - Identity Management Pack

I'd use Safari's bug report function instead of posting here, but...

...it crashes Safari. lol.
So here are my reports:
- If Google is set as the default search engine, setting the home page to www.google.com crashes the program.
- Bookmarks... seems like this topic has been covered well enough. I actually had no problems importing them from Firefox, but adding new ones crashes the program.
- And as mentioned, the bug report function crashes the program.
Bugs aside, I love it. Looking forward to future releases.

The before report function suppose to run when ever I press the submit the report to calculate my beginning balance i.e 2025 witch is gonna be used im my report body calculation Total Balance.

How to add forum to my forums

Hello,
for easy search I need to filter my posts by forum they are posted.
I believe that the only option for that is to access My Forums from Quick Access button.
Currently I have 2 forums in my MY FORUMS (Hyper-V and Scriptiong Guy).
I don't see any option to add forum to my forums or I am blind :)
Please help. Example I need to add Appv forum to my forums .
Also, if you can suggest another way for filtering posts I will appreciate...

Hi Michael,
You an add forums to your My Forums list a few different ways.
First method:
Click the [view all] link next to 'Forums' under the 'Quick Access' link in the upper left to open the forum search. Search for the forum you're interested in, hover over the forum name in the left pane, and then click the 'Add to my forums' link in the
right pane.
A second method is to use the forum popup card if you're already viewing the forum. Hover over the forum name in the breadcrumb link until the popup appears. Click on the the 'Add to my forums' link on the card to add the forum to your list.
For easy viewing of the threads in your 'My Forums' selection, check the 'My forms threads' view from the Quick Access dropdown. This view will include all threads from the forums you've added.

Sun forums migration: sun forum links returned with google searches

Old forums.sun.com posts returned in google searches don't dump you into the thread anymore. Instead you get the forums.oracle.com home page. I was able to find the actual thread by using Google's cache to get the title of the post, then searching for it within the forums. However I figure once the google cache is refreshed, that won't work anymore.
Any idea on workarounds, or will the old sun forums threads ever properly point to forums.oracle.com? I understand that the info has been migrated, but it still needs to be searchable/findable.

Ok, I just talked to our technical person, and the reason that threads do not redirecting is because (...) So anytime you need to fins something specific in a thread, you will need to do a search.Has the migration team considered adding an automatically generated post such as "this topic was migrated from the Sun forums, topicid=xyz"?
At least this suggestion would enable to search the lost topic by its ID!
The problem with manual searching is that often we have not much more info about the topic than the id in the link.
The Google cache is just a temporary epipehnomenon, at some point such search results will not be returned. But there remains a lot of (now dangling) pointers to Sun forum topics everywhere across the Internet.
You wouldn't have to search very far: in the very content that was migrated from Sun forums to OTN forums, there are tons of intra-forum links ("This question is answered in [url http://nowLostInAether]this topic", or "Please consider the shortcomings of thsi approach as described in [url http://nowLostInAether]that thread"). There is no clue as to which keyword search coold lead to the lost target, and even if it were returned by an educated guess search, there would be no way to make sure it's the correct target ("Please sure to use [url http://nowLostInAether]this apporach, because [url http://nowLoastInSPace.com]that other approach is completely flawed!").

Forum admin and forum user

I have both roles assigned: Forum Admin and Forum User.
Q1. What is the use of this application: Change Admin User? Why everytime I have to set it to my current logged in user? Otherwise I always get No permissions.
Q2. I created a new forum "TEST". But in Forum user role, I just get blank page. What could be the reason.

We had the very same problem.
After the deployment via SDM the iview template was there, but the iview template had a missing parameter: Forum View Target.
Everything was fine, exept the page for the view was empty.
We redeployed the KMC-UI (from the installing doc) and then restarted the portal.
=> all 3 parameters in the iview templates were available
=> Forums view did work fine
