[SOLVED] Handbrake output formats

I'm having a bit of an issue with handbrake atm.
It only allows for two formats to rip to mkv and mp4, and under audio it only supports AAC (faac) and AC3 (pass-thru). Am I missing something here or is there an additional package that needed to be installed?
lame, libvorbis and xvid support is installed, so what am I missing?
I'm using handbrake-svn2887 from AUR.

* XviD: HandBrake, these days, is almost entirely about H.264 video, aka MPEG-4 Part 10. This makes it rather...superfluous to include two different encoders for an older codec, MPEG-4 Part 2. When choosing between FFmpeg's and XviD's, it came down to a matter of necessity. We need to include libavcodec (FFmpeg) for a bunch of other parts of its API, like decoding. Meanwhile, XviD's build system causes constant grief (it's the most common support query we get about compiling, after x264's requirement of yasm). Since we mainly use MPEG-4 Part 2 for testing/debugging, and recommend only H.264 for high quality encodes, Xvid's undisputed quality edge over FFmpeg's encoder is inconsequential, while FFmpeg's speed edge over XviD is important to us.

What Are Available Output Formats?

What are the available output video formats from Final Cut Express? I tried to find that info in the online manual, but it is abit vague. I am wondering what all the available formats are.
And, what is the common format to use to then author a DVD in iDVD as well as DVD Studio Pro. (BTW - can DVD Studio Pro be bought separately, or does it only come as part of Final Cut Pro?)

As you may have seen from my profile, I'm a PC user. I am about to buy my first Mac, a Mac Pro (glad I waited until after Xmas!). Anyway, I am familiar with formats like MPEG2, WMV and Avi. And, DivX which is an "add-in" too. But, not familiar with the native outputs from the various Mac programs. I would like to know what I am getting in too. Some work related projects I still need WMV format. So, Flipmac solves that I guess.
Still, I would like to know what native output formats are available before additional downloads are installed, etc.

I am trying to set the output format in transaction SCOT for RAW Text. I want to set the format to HTM. However, HTM does not exist in the dropdown menu. Does anyone know how I can get HTM as an option for RAW Text?

Regular expression and output format

hi all,
i have following scenario-
regular expression: [0-9]{3}-[0-9]{3}-[0-9]{4}
generated value by the above regular expression: 123-234-6789
output format to display the generated above value: xxx-xxx-$1
now i need to display the generated value (123-234-6789) in the specified output format (xxx-xxx-$1) and the final output will be xxx-xxx-6789
how is it possible?

You can solve this problem by using the Data Masking Technique.
Masking data means replacing certain fields with a Mask character (such as an X). This effectively disguises the data content while preserving the same formatting on front end screens and reports. For example, a column of credit card numbers might look like:
4346 6454 0020 5379
4493 9238 7315 5787
4297 8296 7496 8724
and after the masking operation the information would appear as:
4346 XXXX XXXX 5379
4493 XXXX XXXX 5787
4297 XXXX XXXX 8724
The masking characters effectively remove much of the sensitive content from the record while still preserving the look and feel. Take care to ensure that enough of the data is masked to preserve security.
It would not be hard to regenerate the original credit card number from a masking operation such as: 4297 8296 7496 87XX since the numbers are generated with a specific and well known checksum algorithm.

Different output format on pdf, same report same data same user Report 10g

I’ve recently came up with a very strange problem
I have the same report ( DevSuite 10g ) running on a win2003 server and without any obvious reason the output format changes from the original –correct one - ( the underlined text is not correct , font size is decreased , line spacing differs)
The report is executed with the same user, the same parameters and the same data...
Problem is solved only after a full server restart ( restarting only the report server, web cacle will not make any difference )
Once the report is formatted strangely we cannot run it correctly (reboot is needed)
Trace and log files shows nothing strange about the execution.
Can you please tell me how to start investigate or suggest a solution?

This is a wild guess, but it could be the result of there being no default printer. If you're using an in-process Reports Server, this runs by default under the LocalSystem operating system account. By default, this account does not have a default printer. Without a default printer, Reports may not format fonts correctly when producing PDF output.
For more information, see "Printing and Font Errors When Using In-process Server" in Appendix D (Troubleshooting OracleAS Reports Services) of Oracle Application Server Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web 10g Release 2 (10.1.2). It (like Metalink note 272017.1) suggests changing the registry to set a default printer that the LocalSystem account can "see"). Metalink note 370150.1 offers a more drastic solution -- configuring the Reports Server to run under a different operating system account that does have a default printer.
Still, the theory that this "default printer" issue is the problem is not exactly consistent with the fact that your reports do work as expected at first, although there could be explanations for why the default printer is periodically changing (startup scripts, user intervention, etc.).

Inkwell output format

Hello everybody,
I am enjoy using Wacom Graphire 4 + Inkwell application to draw quick sketches. I can send sketches to Apple Mail.app easily by a single click the "send" button in Inkwell.
It seems to me that, Inkwell sketch output is TIF format. Can this output format be set to other formats such as jpg or gif ??
Also, can we set the line thickness ??

Refers to the previous post, I found some hints on web which may be useful to solve my problems. An online article tells that we can use add a rule to Mail.app, and the rule is used to convert attachments of TIFF format to JPEG format automatically by running “Applescripts”. Of course, I don’t know how to write “Applescripts”.
Also, when we click “send” in Inkwell, the quick sketch is sent to Mail.app and is sent to clipboard at the same time. We can paste the sketch in many applications by the “paste” function. Shall we able to modify the OS preferences and to“paste” picture in JPEG / PNG formats ? In Tiger, the screen capture is in PNG format by using “command-Sht-3 /-4”. In spite of this, can we “paste” Inkwell captures in PNG format too ?? Perhaps, another “single line command” can do the job.
Can anyone help on the “Applescripts” or “single line command” things ?

Problem with Excel output format

Hi Guys,
I am creating a report in XML Publisher (not standalone). I am facing some problems could anyone please help me to figure out the issues.
Is it possible to have all three output format (PDF, HTML & EXCEL) exact (same aligned) only by creating a single RTF Template? I am facing the problem with Excel output format the output format of excel is taking excels cell formatting.
Example Numeric fields --> Right Aligned, text fields --> Left Aligned
One more issue with excel is -ve(negative) values are getting displayed in red and in brackets like ($13) (with red color).
Our client want excel output on priority.
Is there any limitation for excel output format of reports?
It is very urgent for us please help.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have read that blog for excel limitations but i have more question?
1) What about the negative values?
if any field is displaying negative amount then excel not displaying right value for that:(
2)How can we align header or data?
Do XMLP with EBS provide any solution for formatting in excel?
3) If for the alignment of numeric value we concatenate them with any special character then how can we perform calculation that field?
Here are so many formatting issues do we need to write any code in xml for that?

Changing Oracle Report Output Format at runtime

Dear All,
I've custom Oracle Report in Oracle Apps., and would like to give the users an option to select the output format (XML, TEXT, PDF, etc.) whilst submitting the request.
As a SYSADMIN, we can modify the Output Format value of the concurrent program(Oracle Report in this case) to one we like.
But I would like the user to select this output format option at runtime, rather then hard coding at SYSADMIN level. For that I've to create a Value Set with the desired report output format options, and attach this to the concurrent program.
My question is, how we can make the desired output format to work at runtime?

I'm running an Oracle Report in Oracle Apps. release 11.5.9
The default output format of this report is TEXT, which is defined in its concurrent program.
This report is submitted using standard request submission screen, and after successful completion we can view the output by pressing "View Output" button on "Requests" screen. This will open an another window and we can view the output page by page. Using "Tools>Copy File..." menu option, we can view the same output in IE window.
Now, how does your resolution fits here and how can I view the same report in XML format?

Output format in background is not same as Foreground

Dear All,
I am running a report in Background but output is not coming in desired format. Suppose output contains 35 columns ( while running the report in Foreground) but in doesn't show all the columns in background. Is there any SAP Standard settings by which we can set the output format as per our requirement while running the job in background.

Want text input containing HTML tags to appear as HTML in output format

We have a table in Oracle database that has a column named detail,one of its values is like this: <bold><italics>Good Morning</italics></bold>. What our client wants is that the output format should show: Good Morning. That is,Bi Publisher should be able to parse the HTML tags and provide the desired output. Please tell me how to achieve this. Any help is much appreciated.

Tutorials in SWF output format prompted "Do you trust this content to connect to the Internet?" when opening another SWF file

Please help.
I have a tutorial with in the output format of SWF and HTM. I have click boxes that On Success will open another tutorial (SWF file). When I click on the click box, I get prompted “Do you trust this content to connect to the Internet?” by the Adobe Flash Player. I can click “Yes” and continue, however I don’t want the user to get prompted for every click box with this action (there is one for every tutorial and navigation buttons to each tutorial). I also think that SCORM can't handle the prompt, because when I run the tutorial from the LMS the click boxes do not work at all.
I have tried selecting “Always allow” in the Global Security Settings panel as per the instruction on this website: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l.

I wanted to add on a question to this posting.... I believe Rod's instructions must be followed on a per-PC basis, correct? Is there any way to disable this globally when/after I publish the files rather than telling 1000 users across the globe that they have to change their security settings? I don't think so from the article (very thorough) but just hoping there's something I can do?!
