[solved] Help me removing some daemon leftovers

Since i removed a daemon (ioniced) from my system, i get the following error on shutdown:
/etc/rc.shutdown: line 40: /etc/rc.d/ioniced: no such file or directory
I already tried to delete /var/run/daemons/ioniced and it works for the next shutdown, but when i shutdown the machine again (the second time) the error is back again...
Maybe it has something to do with the rc-script for ioniced, check it out here
So, how can i remove this stuff completely?

My guess is that you have a file named ioniced left in /var/run/daemons/. Try to remove it and check if the problem disappears.
Edit: I saw that you already tried it. Maybe it is started by another script. Anyway, it seems really strange that it reappears. Do you still have the ioniced script file in rc.d? You could try to rename it or move it somewhere else and see if that solves the problem.

I need urgent help to remove unwanted adware from my iMac. I have somehow got green underline in text ads, pop up ads that come in from the sides of the screen and ads that pop up selling similar products all over the page wherever I go. Its getting worse and I have researched and researched to no avail. I am really hestitant to download any software to remove whatever it is that is causing this problem. I have removed and reinstalled chrome. I have cleared Chrome and Safari cookies. Checked extensions, there are none to remove. I need to find an answer on how to get rid of these ads. Help please!

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Application Support/VSearch
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist

Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.

Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. It must be said that this failure of oversight is inexcusable and has seriously compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You cannot rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

I am unable to remove some addons/extension as i dnt see only disable option n nt the remove option there. What should i do?

There are some addons/extensions which are not compatible with my current version of mozilla. I am seeing the "type error: components.classes[cid]" evry time while starting the firefox. Those extensions were probably installed like plug-ins and since you see them as extensions you will probably have to uninstall each of them through the Control Panel, see directions for various systems in

Installed/Removed some programs, now when I connect iPod, nothing happens..

First off it would be good to learn how to use iPhoto - editing is one of the most basic operations - what version of iPhoto do you have? Have you watched the videos and looked in Help?
In general you select the photo can click edit - to straighten you use the "Straighten tool" - to remove areas around the photo you use the "crop tool"

i want to remove some portion of the string like artist2, title2, 2 so my updated string should be like
artist1

Here i am using String.replaceAll("artist2","");
String.replaceAll("title3","");
String.replaceAll("2","")("[\code]
its deleting whole data in a string, can any one please help me how to delete particular part of the string. Here artist and title are unique and no are reapeated.

Hey I had the same problem like you yesterday.
I tried using regEx with positiv lookahead but noticed that there was a problem when the String went over multiple lines. There is probably some solution to it that i havent found yet.
So what I did was get the Index of the first text I wanted deleted(in your case I guess "artist2"). Then got the Index of the end of the deletion point(In your case the "2"?) and then formed a new String with the substring from the orginal one and the indexes of the two deletion points.
Sounds kinda dirty but it did work out. Anyway I'll dig myself into regular expressions more today because if you get them to work, they're a charm :)

Also, after a numbers of time, I delete everything from my desktop, I keep the folder where I've stored my PDF, copy the original pdf in it (after I make sure the original PDF was still intact), once copied, the copied version has the changes I've made in it from my previous operation.
Do you have any ideas?

Dragging them to desktop was not a good idea. Now you need to know where they came from.
For any still in the Trash right-click on the file and select "put back" from the context menu.
What version of Office, and what are the file names? We may be able to help you trace where they should be.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

If this is a mounted Disk Image, it should be easy to check, here's an example of the typical way of "Ejecting" Disk Image and trashing its associated .DMG in the Finder
Click the " > " button next to the DI to Eject / Unmount it
Drag the .DMG file to the Trash or type CMD + delete
Verify that the .DMG is in fact in the Trash > Empty the Trash by your favorite method
If there is an error at this point, take a screenshot and insert it here
