[SOLVED] huge bad looking "link arrow" in gnome

It's a little hard to explain, the picture will tell everything. Can someone tell me how to fix this? I have the latest gnome and this problem is not new - i just ignored it so far.

10x!

Gnome 2.20 moved to extra yesterday, and this bug seems to be fixed. But I can't approve it properly since I updated the outdated tango-icon-theme myself.
This problem seems to have solved itself.

  • Link arrows missing in Podcast section

    I am using iTunes 9, on Windows 7. The link arrows that take you to the iTunes store show up in the Music section, and they work fine. However, the link arrows are not present in the Podcast section - I'd like to use those arrows to go to the podcast's main page in the iTunes store. These link arrows are present on my Mac (which is also running iTunes 9). I went into the Preferences pane and have looked a zillion times for the checkbox to enable links to the iTunes store, but there isn't one. The help file says that in order to disable the links altogether you have to check the box in the Parental controls under Preferences but I don't want to do that because I want them enabled in the Podcast section. I also don't want to mess around with the preferences xml file as it's really large and I currently cannot find any code to ENABLE the links in the PODCAST section.

    My podcasts category is totally missing from my main library, and I cannot be checked-off in the General screen in iTunes Preferences? Big problem!!!

  • Improve Indesign performance with a huge number of links?

    Hi all,
    I am working on a poster infographic with a huge number of links, specifically around 4500. I am looking to use indesign over illustrator for the object styles (vs graphic styles in illustrator) and for the interactive capacity.
    The issue I am having is indesign's performance with this many links. My computer is not maxed out on resources when indesign is going full power, but indesign is still very slow.
    So far, here are the things I have tried:
    Display performance to fast
    Switching from link AI files to SVGs
    Turning off preflight
    Turning off live-draw
    Turning off save preview
    Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to speed up indesign! See below system specs
    Lenovo w520
    8GB DDR3 @1333mhz
    nVidia 2000M, 2GB GDDR
    Intel Core i7 2760QM @ 2.4GHz
    240GB Samsung 840 SSD
    Adobe CS6
    Windows 8
    The only other thing I can think to try is to break up the poster into multiple pages/docs and then combine it later, but this is not ideal. Thank you all for your time.
    Cheers,
    Dylan Halpern

    I am not a systems expert, but I wonder if you were to hide the links, and keep InDesign from accessing them that it might help. Truly just guessing.
    Package the file so all the graphics are in a single folder. Then set the File Handling Preferences so InDesign doesn't yell at you when it can't find the links.
    Then quit InDesign and move the folder to a new place. Then reopen InDesign. The preview of the graphics will suck, but it might help. And one more thing, close the Links panel.

  • How to add an orange link arrow on a report

    Hi forumers !
    I added an orange link arrow on a simple report (just to know how to add the orange drill down link). My report displays the following fields: CardCode, CardName and Balance taken from OCRD table.
    I want to add a link arrow on CardCode such that if I click on it, I can see the BP card. For this, i added the image of an orange arow, then create a hyperlink on it. The query I used is  'http://$b1$/link?table=OCRD&key='+{OCRD.CardCode}.
    When I run the report and click on the link, IE opens and I get the following error message :"unable to open the page".
    I've tried several ideas found on this forum , but I still getting the same error message.
    My questions are:
    How can I do to correctly see the BP card using the link arrow?
    Is there any security settings in IE I must do in order to display the BP card?
    Thanks !

    Hi Yves
    try to type at the end of your query the following
    select cardcode,cardname,balance from ocrd
    for browse
    and execute it again

  • Crystal Report orange link arrow to SAP B1 not working

    Hello,
    I couldn't find a way to insert the actual "arrow" icon into a Crystal report so I copied one from one of the Crystal Reports imbedded in SAP B1 9.0.  I subsequently edited the hyperlink to point to the document number I wanted.
    From the Format Editor dialog box, Hyperlink, the hyperlink website address is:
    http://$b1$/link?table=OPCH&key=1
    There was a formatting button to the right of the website address line.  Clicking on it yielded a formula workshop dialog box that I edited as follows:
    'http://$b1$/link?table=OPCH&key='+ToText({OPCH.DocNum},0,"","")
    The Crystal Report runs fine in B1 and shows the link arrows.  Hovering the cursor above the hyperlink in print preview yields the specific information for that record. For example, when the report shows A/P Invoice #4394 the screen shows a small pop-up with "http://$b1$/link?table=OPCH&key=4394".  Clicking on the arrow brings up a window with a blank! A/P invoice with the cursor located in the "Vendor Invoice No." box (OPCH.NumAtCard field).
    Why is this not working to bring up the correct A/P invoice?  There are no errors indicated.
    Thanks for any assistance.

    Thank you, Nagarajan.
    Those instructions are exactly what I've done with my report.  However, the instructions start with the phrase "manually insert link arrow into Crystal report".  OK, I did a Google search on "insert link arrow" and "crystal" and "reports" and "SAP" and there was only ONE webpage with these words on the ENTIRE internet--the page you sent me to.  Crystal reports online help has nothing relating to a "link arrow".  If there's some special aspect of this link arrow that I'm missing, it sure is a secret because there's nothing out there on this subject.  I guess I'll have to copy the graphic from previous reports each time I need to do this.
    CORRECT ANSWER:
    In any case, I was able to resolve the issue by changing the text in the formatting dialog box from OPCH.DocNum to PCH1.DocEntry and it worked.  Why it worked is beyond me.  Guessing seems to be the one defining feature of doing work with SAP B1.

  • [SOLVED] How to change metacity theme in Gnome 3.4?

    Hi all,
    I would really like to change the default metacity theme from Clearlooks to something else, but keep Adwaita as the default GTK+ 3 theme. Previously, it could be done using gconf-editor and changing the /apps/metacity/general/theme key value, but on my system /apps/metacity/general is completely empty (like all other metacity 'subgroups').
    Does anybody know how to set the default metacity theme?

    You're not 'stuck', depending on if your are able to fix the theme, yourself. CSS isn't very difficult to read/edit... I've already been fixing a dark theme to work with gtk-3.4. Mostly, certain things have just been deprecated. So usually, it is as simple as launching a gtk app from a terminal (while using your broken theme) and looking at the gtk-related errors (usually parsing errors) then fixing them in your theme, accordingly. It's pretty easy because it will tell you exactly which line(s) need to be changed...  The most common problem i've seen that pixel sizes must now have 'px'. And there are also some fixing to do, in terms of fixing parts/widgets that don't look quite right - like maybe having to adjust a color, or border or something. but obviously mileage varies, depending on theme + it's engine.
    maybe i've just been lucky, i don't know - but i've got a semi-decent theme working, although there are still things to change and fix

  • Removing arrows in gnome panel

    If you are irritated with those stupid arrows on gnome shell 3.10 panel, you can easily remove them:
    edit
    /usr/share/gnome-shell/js/ui/panel.js
    comment out those lines:
    // this._arrow = PopupMenu.unicodeArrow(St.Side.BOTTOM);
    // this._hbox.add_actor(this._arrow);
    // this._indicators.add_child(PopupMenu.unicodeArrow(St.Side.BOTTOM));
    Last edited by hrdx (2014-04-12 15:41:39)

    Can be removed with CSS as well in the gnome-shell.css theme file you're using:
    Gnome 3.10.
    #panel .unicode-arrow {
    font-size: 0;
    width: 0;
    Gnome 3.12.
    #panel .panel-button .popup-menu-arrow {
    width: 0;

  • Bad looking DVD

    I have a feature length film shot with a Sony FX-1.
    The footage is all HDV 1080i.
    I used PP for editing and using Encore for DVD authoring.
    All my attempts so far result in absurdly bad looking video when previewed in Encore on the computer, or burned to dvd and watched on TV.
    The main problem is when there is movement in the video its very jerky.
    The interrum video files exported out of PP look fine by the way.
    I'm pretty sure the problem is I need to export out of Premiere with some kind of special top secret settings to get it to look ok in DVD format.
    Anyone privy to these settings?
    Quality is my main concern, file size is not a concern.

    I need to see if I have this correct. I shoot with the camera set in 1080i HD. I edit in Premiere with the setting for 1080i HD but when I export to AVI to be used in Encore I should make sure the field is UPPER since it is HD even though Encore will be told to burn as a regular (non-Blu Ray) DVD. Correct?
    If I set the cameras on DV wide screen (non-HD)then bring it into Premiere as a DV project wide screen, I should export it as an AVI with lower field first before using it in Encore. Correct?
    Because I am getting the same artifacts in the final burn. Lines during movement. Red pixelation on some transitions, or when a flash gun fires.
    Thanks

  • Onyx:  Point the link arrows of iTunes on..

    In Onyx there's an option for "Point the link arrows of iTunes on: Music Store/Library".
    If you direct the link arrows to the library it opens the browser, showing either the artist or album that you clicked on the arrow for. If you direct the link arrows to the Store (which is the default anyway) it shows the track for that artist.
    Here's the question:
    Is there any way to direct the music store arrows so that it shows all the songs with the same name? I'd like to be able to have any easy way to search for cover songs.
    example: the link for "Midnight Rider" for Willie Nelson, if you click on the arrow link it takes you to the Willie Nelson album containing that song.
    I'd like to be able to click on something that would show me all the songs titled "Midnight Rider". Does anyone know of a script or something that would pull up all the entries for a specific song by all artists?

    I don't know if this script will help or not. There are a few other music store scripts on Doug's AppleScript site if you search using "music store".

    Hi, All my qt apps (vlc clementine) look really ugly. They are not following the system theme. How can I fix it ?
    Last edited by eklavya (2011-05-09 19:46:42)

    If by system theme you are referring to the gtk theme, then yes, of course qt won't be using the same theme because, well, it's qt. Try googling for a qt version of your gnome 3 theme. It won't look exactly the same, but that's an age old problem arising from a long long time ago.
    However, if you have already set an equivalent theme for qt and it's not showing up then yes, it's a bug.
