[Solved] I've been really clever (Locked myself out of the system)

Hi, I've done something extremely clever: I wanted to try out suspend to disk on my MacBook. I generated an new initramfs with an uresume hook. The whole resuming thing didn't work though.
Upon rebooting I get a prompt telling me that the system can't resume (fair enough) and I can skip it by pressing enter. However, my MacBook's keyboard doesn't work at boot-time (well, at least not at this prompt).
How do I get past this error message? Can I restore an initramfs with something like Knoppix?

If you use grub, use the fallback initramfs. kernel26-fallback.img
I'm guessing here, but you could try adding the usbinput hook to make the keyboard work earlier.

Here's what the Apple Support site says you can do if you do not have access to a computer when your device has been disabled:
If you are using Find My iPhone, you can use Remote Wipe to restore your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode.
You can access Find My iPhone via the Find My iPhone app on your iPad.

Does anyone know of an app I can use so that I can lock myself out of my phone for a specified time interval? There are times where my phone becomes a distraction and it would be easier to just lock myself out of it for 45 mins than to go to the trouble of putting it somewhere were I won't notice it and it will be too far away from me to just pick it up and start searching social media sites as procrastination.

It's called "SelfControl". It can be a little hard to learn to use but it's worth the effort.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Did you set an alternate password? If you didn't, or if you can't remember it, did you activate Android Device Manager on your phone and associate it with your Google account? If so, then you may be able to use Android Device Manager to unlock your phone. If you restore the phone from backup, on the last computer your phone was synced with, this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer the phone synced with, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore as a new device.
