So I thought ok maybe it needs the 3.2 patch, so I un-installed then reinstalled but it wouldn't let me run the patch saying that my sources are alreay patched, I need this machine to do my work and I now at a dead stop.
thanks for your help on this.

OK it all worked accept for one small bit, with the new patch there is a bug in the script. It calls for
/sbin/lsmod which doesn't exist.
It exists in /bin/lsmod
So I guess you could mod the script but I just symlinked the path and it worked fine.
ln -s /bin/lsmod /sbin/lsmod
thanks again for your help and I hope this little bit gets found by who needs it.

  • What are the patches released for new browsers

    Hi Gurus,
    It's a general question.
Is oracle released any patches for new browser versions?
Our client is experiencing the different issue with the latest browsers.
This is one of the error message which they had received: iRecuitment - oracle error 1403:java.sqlSQLException:ORA-01403: from Chrome user - need latest Patch.
    Regards,

You need to use a certified browser -- Please see the docs referenced above for the list of supported browsers and client OS.
If you still get the same error, please see these docs.

  • Patch notes for new update?

Where can i find patch notes on what is new/fixed with update?

Personally, I don't find the referenced document to be of any use at all.  It's mostly marketing-speak without any technical detail.  The first page is somewhat helpful, but the bullet points on the 2nd page are a waste.  I want actual descriptions of the changes or improvements.
I guess I will go to a third party website, where industry folks analyze and report on such things.  Shame, Verizon.

For version 5.5. RC1 neither the any-any patch nor the custom script in Arch wiki are needed- it just works out of the box.
Well I got it working but no networking using the latest 5.5 version.

  • Kernel patch upgrade for multiple instance

    Hi expert,
I want to know will we follow the same process while upgrade the kernel patch only for Multiple ABAP STAK.
We have system which has 3 instances....................so my question is exactly where we ned to put the kernel files (Generlly it should be in /EXE or /RUN file)and in which instance.......

1.If I copy the patches only in central instance will it affect to all other instances.....?
If you have configured your SAP system correctly then Yes, Kernel upgrade in Central Instance will reflect in Dialog Instances also.
    2.what is the concept of SAPMNT..(/sapmnt/SID/exe ).........?
/sapmsnt/SID/SYS/exe -> to share the kernel across the instances
3.What is the difference between EXE and RUN directory ............will it make any difference if I copy into EXE folder instead of
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run is located on the host system of the R/3 instance and is for locally-stored executables
    /sapmsnt/SID/SYS/exe/run -> Central Instance directory
    /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe - Dialog Instance directory
you can check the values of DIR_EXECUTABLE or DIR_CT_RUN (if you are using sapcpe) to determine the kernel directories for central and dialog instances respectively

  • [SOLVED] Kernel over 3.14.4-1 does not detect my hardware proper

    Hello everyone,
i've a little problem with any kernel higher then 3.14.4-1.. After a long time, i bootet up my PC and updatet Arch. There where nearly 350 package updates. Everything went fine, except for the kernel update.
Updating to kernel 3.16.3-1 broke nearly everything on my system. Arch boots but does not detect any hardware like the graphics card or the network adapter. I've read journalctl but can't find any usefull hints or a point do begin my error searching.
Maybe someone of you can give me a useful hint…
Here is a link to the logfile: http://p.tkolb.de/SpGKcAQjxk1A.txt
Thank you very much in advance for your help,

I've reverted to the last working kernel with "pacman -U".
Could now find the Problem: /boot was not mountet during the kernel build.. Such a stupid mistake.
Thank you anyway for your fast replies!

  • Database patch 5 for CM

    Hi all,
After succesfully installing EP SP2 with patch 29 and CM patch 4 too after that, I wanted to upgrade CM to the last patch too.
I first deployed patch 5 for CM, succesful operation, but after that the documentation guide showed to apply the patch 5 for database (included in this CM patch)
During the patching of oracle instance I had the following error:
    DROP INDEX "IX_CMCC_TABLE1"
ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
    followed by exception.
I have a look on oracle errors, but dont know how to solve it.
Can someone help me solving this, because I havent done a backup to my database, but only to the instance used.
When I logon in the portal after that in the KM Content it gives an exception saying is waiting for a patch.
    Best regards,
    Raluca.

    Hi,
I am having the same problem.
Did you maybe find a solution for this?

    Hi @lindylou7,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you are looking for a patch/driver for your HP Deskjet 2050 for Windows 8. I am happy to take a look for you!
I believe the driver you are looking for can be downloaded from this website, Software and Drivers. Or, you can use the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows, that will download the proper software for your printer automatically.
Hope this is what you are looking for, and have a great day!

  • Patching Binaries for JAVA....

    Hello guys,
I have installed the NW04 and J2EE for our Xi system.
I have one question about patching binaries. I was going through the note 832005. It talks about some SAR fiels which can be found on market place /swdc (got to Support Packages and Patches section) from OS dependent section of J2EE 6.40. SCS.SAR is not there.
When do I have to do this.
How will I determine the need?
It appears to me there is regular patching also for these files.
Is it like kernel for ABAP system?
How can I find the patching level for this so I can make sure after the upgrade that patching went well.
Thank you very much for all the advices.
    Thank you.
    SC

    Thank you for the reply.
Well I do not want to apply it seperately. I am in impression that we have to apply J2EE binaried always seperate.
Is It done when you apply J2EE patches using SAPInst and note 657763?
    But I have a question.
When I installed a J2EE as Add-in using SAPInst, I only  provided the path of <b>OS independent J2EE CD</b>. But There was OS dependent CD as well and it has all these SAR files mentioned above in my initial message. So Do I have to apply them manually right after installation?
    <b>OR</b>
Just apply J2EE patches right after the install and it will be updated automatically.
<b>But If that is the case,</b>
Then when we are going to apply SCSCLIENT*.SAR (depends upon the system like Unicode or Non-Unocode). It is not mentioned in the one of the four files SAR files we download during the patching of J2EE. Is it also a part of one of these files like SCS.SAR?
Thank you very much for all the support.
    Thank you.

  • Patch 218 for R3INLPGM

    Hello All.
I have a problem during applying patch 218 for R3INLPGM. It's very strange because I was applied on DEV and QAS systems and it's fully operational.
After applying SAP fix and (APYR3FIX), apply SAP Kernel (APYSAP) and deleting SQL packages, I'm doing a new logon with ) isn't loaded.
I've tried to load a new kernel (SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB patch level 221) but in this case, neither DEV/QAS nor PRD run.
Can anyone help me about this case?
    Thank's a lot.

    Hello Bernhard,
I'm always happy, when patches work fine ))
unfortunately, I was noot able to get any r3inlpgm patch higher than 186 running in an iASP environment. 1,5 weeks ago, this happened now with 218. I asked the customer, to open an OSS ticket and now reminded him on this as I'm really looking to a solution on this ...

The memory manager driver (vmmemctl module) is used by VMware host software to
efficiently reclaim memory from a virtual machine.
If the driver is not available, VMware host software may instead need to swap
guest memory to disk, which may reduce performance.

have you installed vmware player, workstation, server...?
There's no vmware tools in AUR, not sure what are you installing.
    try open-vm-tools from comunity.

  • GEtting "cannot get uid of user "sdb" while installing patch 19 for

I'm applying patch 19 for Livecache 7.7 on a solaris system. When I execute the sdbupd , I get this error when it tries to load the appropriate software updates.
We have the sdb user defined in our system as "sdblvs" lvs is our sid. It does exist locally and is locked.
Do not understand why it is loooking for "sdb" as opposed to "sdblvs"
    Any ideas?

    Sorry, I mispoke - it's 7.7.03.22.
To get around it, we just defined the user "sdb" with the same uid as sdblvs. So we are past it, but are wondering what is going to happen next time we patch. Seems there is something wrong with the install as it is looking for sdb.
Here is the output you requested post patch:

When i try to update my apps from the app store some of the apps wont update and ask for an Apple ID that isn't mine. Whats the problem and how do i fix it? All im trying to do is update my apps and its asking for these random apple ID's.

The apps were purchased by another user with a different Apple ID. You will have to erase them and repurchase them using your Apple ID.
