Does this happen with default adwaita gtk theme?
There were many reports of similar issues after gtk 3.14 update, that were caused by gtk theme in use not being updated for latest gtk.

  • Can not see all the clips in large Icon view in my bin

I arranged my clips in a bin in large Icon view but i can not see all the clips in the bin while in that mode. I see the clips when in list mode or when i drag them out of the bin into the main bin. As soon I drag them back in large icon view bin they do not show up, when going back in list view they are there.
    Any idea
Also my daughter accidently pulled the electrical plug, which turned my external hard drive off. So the media was off line. I hit reconnect the clip but the clip does not show as connected in the bin it keeps the Media offline icon but putting the clip in the viewer or time line it plays it. So the clip is reconnected
hope anybody can help with those two issues thanks

    Nick
thanks for your message it helped to show the clips. Here how I solved it. I put the clips i could not see in large Icon view, to the Project folder. Even in the project folder I was only seeing the clips with Thumbnail in list view. When i hit large Icon view the clips disappeared, and they could not have been lower down as i only have about 5 folders in the project. I then clicked arrange the clip by name and they showed up again. Like that i dragged the clip back in to its bin and it showed up. The reason for going back and forth I arranged the clips manually in the bin before and when hitting arrange by name it spread them to far apart and put the clips not in a sequence I liked.
for the second part I followed Neil's suggestion it worked.

  • How may I change the height of the menu bar to allow my large icons/buttons to maintain their size?

I recently updated from FF28 to FF31. Totally different UI, I get that. I waited to update until I could psych myself to try something different. I have the Default Australis Theme and Noia Fox Theme, which is designed with larger icons/buttons for those with visual needs. On my screen at the moment I have the title bar, menu bar, tab bar, and url/addon bar with the "hamburger" menu to the right. I placed icons in the menu bar, kept the home icon on the addon bar, and then there are the default icons in the menu popup. When I enable the Noia Fox Theme, the icons look great on the url/addon bar, even in the menu popup; clear, large, easy to see. However, the icons in the menu bar (not the menu popup) are less than half their original/intended size. So I switch to default Australis Theme, restart, and same issue, though not quite as dramatic since Default theme is smaller to begin with.
My thinking then is that there is a setting within the menu bar which resizes the icons/buttons to a small default size. Can this setting be changed to allow the icons to retain their original size (or close to it) and if so, how? I like the location of the menu bar on my screen, below the title bar, above the tab bar. Works nicely with the new The Fox Only Better addon which attaches to the tab bar and hides the url bar, a "new" feature for me and I'm liking it. I know I can get CTR with an additional bar, and I did try that. The issue then is that the additional bar appears below the tab bar and is not movable to above the tab bar and below the title bar.
At the moment, I have just the two themes, security addons added and The Fox Only Better. I've not added other appearance addons yet so as to keep potential conflicts/issues to a minimum. I've not tinkered with internal FF default settings other than to say don't track me (I think that's all I did). So to the best of my limited understanding, I've kept changes and customizations to a minimum. And yes, per your educated guess feature for questions posted, I am running Win 8.1 and FF 31.
I think I've offered enough detail so others can try to duplicate the issue. If not, let me know and I'll try to respond as soon as I can. Thanks so much for any help offered.

You can double the height of the menu bar area using a custom style rule. I couldn't immediately find an icon that would take advantage of the space so I'm not sure this will solve the problem, but you could try it.
The custom style rule could be as simple as:
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
/* double height (from 2x to 4x the 13px base font size) */
    #toolbar-menubar{
    height:4em !important;
(Result shown in the screen shot, using the preview feature of the Stylish extension.)
You can apply custom style rules to Firefox's UI using either of these methods:
    (1) Create or edit a userChrome.css file. This article has more information: http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css
    (2) Use the Stylish extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/stylish/
Since I don't have this theme to test myself, if this doesn't work well, you might contact the theme author using the theme's support thread, which is on an independent forum: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2230157

  • Large Icons for 8310 running 4.5 os

please please can anyone tell if there are themes out there with large icons compatible with the 4.5 os..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Since the majority of carriers especially the major ones in the States have not officially released the 4.5 OS, not an awful lot of people are using it and therefore not creating themes for it. Also they may not be creating them because if they are using an unsupported OS they may not want to take the chance of damaging their phone by testing themes. Just wait a little while for the OS to become more widely used and I'm sure then you'll be able to find a theme that's to your liking.

  • Large icon appears in middle of desktop--can't get rid of it.

Daughter was using computer. Now a large icon--the microphone--periodically appears in the middle of the desktop no matter what I am doing. Can't get rid of it.

    Blakespot:
If you haven't done this already, boot from the Leopard DVD (hold down 'C' after (re)starting your computer, until you are prompted to choose a language. Then wait until the installer appears.) Ignore the installer. Instead, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, wait for a menu to appear, then, from the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility. Select your Macintosh HD, and perform a "Repair Disk".
After that reboot again from the HD and check how your disk space is reported by OSx.

  • IPhone: is the large icon in iTunes=App store icon?

Does iTunes get the artwork for the large icon in the apps directory from the large 512x512 icon used by the appstore? Or is that from another source, since my Ad Hoc distributions don't display any special icons in iTunes.

The dev guide says about the 512x512 icon:
    {quote}This will be used to feature your application on the App Storefront.{quote}
I'm not sure what exactly "featured" means...
There are at least 5 different images/icons possible for each app in iTunes:
    1) small icon just like on device home screen (in NEW or WHAT'S HOT section)
    2) slightly bigger icon (when browsing for apps)
    3) even larger icon (app's actual page in the store)
    4) medium "featured" image (between NEW and WHAT'S HOT sections)
    5) large "featured" image (3 at the very top of the app store home)
So the "Icon.png" in your app bundle is definitely what shows on the device home screen. But is the 512x512 icon used for icons 1-3 in the store? Is it also used in any way for 4-5 or do you have to be "special" to even get featured in those ways?

  • Larger icons on firefox homepage

All toolbars at top of firefox homepage are really small type including bookmark icons........How do I change these to larger font?

There are three choices I can think of
    # Use the large icons
    # Fiddle with preferences to change settings
#use a software extension to make changes for you
    Large Icons. <br />
If you have the small icons choose the big ones instead.
    * right click on an empty part of a toolbar, use the customise option and choose large icons
    * see [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]]
    Use software extensions <br />
    * see [[Use themes to change the look of Firefox]]
    * look for them here [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/appearance/]
    * also note that ''no squint'' affects the web content and is popular <br />https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
    * if you or someone else needs more help in improving Firefox's accessibility see<br/>http://www.accessfirefox.org/ <br/> very large icons and screenreaders etc.
    Preferences<br/>
This is not entirely straightforward. You change advanced settings by going into ''about:config''
    # type ''about:config''into the address bar and hit the return key
    #* see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
    # accept any warning
#You are looking for the preference ''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx'' start keying that into the search bar then select it when you find it
#use the Modify option and experiment with SMALL changes to the value. It will be set as -1.0 or 1.0, try 1.2 , 1.4 , 1.6, 1.8 & 2.0
P.S adjusting the preference may produce minor problems with which tooltip hints displayed for instance in the bookmarks sidebar (Bug 644952)

  • Replacing one folder icon by a larger icon. How?

I have recently downloaded a set of nice folder icons from the Apple site, like one set in particular and have replaced a number of my folders with it. But now I want one of the larger sizes of this set to replace a folder on my desktop and can't figure out how to do that. The larger icon opens in preview, but when I open the Info pane (cmd-i) it is represented as a png, so I can't get to it (opening the png and working from there doesn't work either). The only size that will show up as an actual folder icon in the Info pane is the default size. So, anyone here knows how to do this? I'd be grateful for any help.
    Levina

Afraid people probably don't quite understand what you mean. The largest size icons will display is 128x128 pixels. You set the icon display size for a folder or the Desktop, by going to View-Show View Options and dragging the slider. You can't have one folder display at a larger size than the others, they will all be the same.
You can use a png as an icon by opening it in Preview, then go to the Edit menu and select Copy. You then use the GetInfo for the folder you want to have the icon, select it at the top of the GetInfo pane, and select paste. The Finder will convert the original png to a 128x128 icon.

  • Large Icon in Windows 7 superbar/taskbar, how to?

    Hi people,
in windows 7 i can switch to large icons in the superbar/taskbar. How can I define this large icon in my java application? Is it the icon which I set with "setIconImage" to the frame? But this icon is only 16x16 and it looks bad after being resized to a larger size. I can set a large icon via "setIconImage", but now this icon is rescaled to 16x16 and this looks bad in my application window title... And I can't set an "ico" file via "setIconImage" which may support several sizes.
Any chance to set one icon to the frame (setIconImage) and define another icons as large icon for the superbar/taskbar?
    Thanks for your help,

    Did you try [Window#setIconImages|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/Window.html#setIconImages(java.util.List)] ?

  • When placing icons on the menu bar, I can not increase size to large icons. I can make icons larger when putting icons on other bars below menu bar. Never had this problem with any earlier version of FF

This happens with all icon themes including default. I like having the large icons on the menu bar so hopefully this can be fixed.

    NO way.

By using the latest AIR 3.8.0.82, video can no longer play at all, in full-screen mode.
When not in full screen mode, we can play normally.
In addition, I tried to put a <containsVideo> tag, but it was similar.

  • Larger icons and text, in Elem. 10

How do I get larger icons in the Options bar, and lager text in the Menu bar, In Element 10.
    I use Windows 10.

No, you're not missing anything. There is no way to change the icon/font size in the sidebar other than changing the resolution of your monitor. It's a good idea to be able to though so you might want to provide Apple feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html.

  • Need large icons on iphone 6

I Purchasd an iPhone 6 in December and during the setup I was given the option to use larger icons (this is NOT the zoom feature, the icons are a little larger but the screen is still all visable on one page.). My sister got her new iPhone today and it was set up at the ATT store and they did not offer her the option to make the icons larger. We have looked everywhere we can think of, especially in the accessibility area and can find nothing like what I have. anyone know where I should look?

Thanks, but that shows how to use the Zoom function.  That is not what I want.  The zoom function enlarges all screens, photos, etc.  I just want the icons larger. The phone that has the desired large sized icons does not have zoom, large text or anything checked in Accessibility. Here is a screen shot of the two iPhones side by side.  The one on the left has larger icons, filling the screen with 5 rows, where the one on the right has room for six rows.
