Alad, I have noticed only one similar error:
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libdlfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored
You probably want to start a 32-bit application with bumblebee on a 64-bit system. See the "Note" box in Installation.
but I have all needed lib32.
Or am I wrong?

Low FPS while playing without charging. I turn off economy mode and still have problems with FPS.
    Any suggestions?:(

This is cause by Nividia Geforce Experience which limits the fps to 30 when gaming with battery due to energy saving technique. If you want more performance for the cost of shorter battery life. Open NVidia GeForce Experience. Click Preference and go to Battery. Uncheck set frame rate target when on battery.

  • Satellite M70 - Drastic drop in FPS while gaming

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite M70-148.

I have bought my laptop in febuari 2006. I've been playing the game America's Army v2.5 since that time.
Since 4-5 months I have been getting serious drops in FPS while gaming. I am talking about from 85 FPS (steady with the highest settings) to more frequently drops to 30-40 FPS and even more to 8-10-15 FPS (on the bare lowest settings).
At first I thought this could be fixed by increasing RAM memory, so i bought 2 sticks of 1 GB RAM. And this didn't work at all.
I've installed a fresh backup, with nothing but Windows XP (Home, legal of course with all updates) and the game and i'm still experiencing the drops in FPS.
What I seem to be hearing is the fan blowing harder when I get the FPS drop and sometimes it does the same when it goes back to 85 fps.
Because it has been able to run smoothly before I am inclined to think that this is some hardware malfunction that is causing this problem.
Is there any way I can replace/upgrade the hardware inside my computer?
Or can someone give me a suggestion as to where i should look to find the problem?
    Thanks a LOT!

If you think you have a hardware problem with your notebook, I would go to a service partner from Toshiba.
You can search for a partner in your region on this website:

    I hope this helps you...

  • Problems with FPS while gaming on MBPr Retina

Ok, I have a Macbook Pro Retina 2012. I recently started playing games on it, most seem to be ok but I'm running Windows Via VMware Fuision, it worked great...for a time. I am playing a game, that at times, has a lot of graphic qulaity and a lot going on at one time. I lowered the quilaty but still it seems jumpy like the the GPU cant keep up with the FPS. I and a 1Gb GPU. Is there anything else I can do to stop this and let in play as normal or this a problem with something different than that GPU?? I was looking into external GPUs but that seems WAY too expensive, at the moment until that design one espcailly for it. Just looking for some friendly advice.

Install Windows via BootCamp this allows the game you are playing to use all of the resources the computer has. Using VM Ware your computer has to power both Windows and Mac at the same time. Therefore performs slower. Also the GPU has to power a higher resolution screen (Retina Display) which will lower FPS.

  • HP Envy 15 3040nr Low Framerates while Gaming

    Hi,
I have an HP Envy 15 3040nr notebook with an AMD Radeon 7690M dedicated GPU with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. Although I acknowledge that the use of this GPU on my notebook was not intended primarily for gaming, I've read reviews online stating that this is a good GPU for playing most graphical games at a Medium or Medium-Low setting.
However, while playing games like Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012, Assassin's Creed 3, Crysis 3, and BeamNG.Drive, I get horrible framerates ranging from 15-25 FPS. I think the expected FPS lies somewhere in the 30-35 range for such games, and these aren't even the most recent of 3D games.
Also, I don't believe the problem is CPU related because this model is equipped with an Intel i7-2670QM Quad Core, which overclocks to around 3.0 GHz when I'm running games through Turbo Boost. I have yet to run graphical benchmarks, which I will do.
Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the prompt reply WeiH.
Sadly there doesn't seem to be an HP Service Center in my country (Sri Lanka). So now I'm really confused as to what my retailer's technicians meant by "we'll send it to the local HP Support Center and have your display panel replaced".
Whatever they did, the display panel has been replaced and I've been using it for less than a week so far with no issues. The touchpad hasn't really been heating up and has in fact been as warm as the rest of the notebook. Perhaps it's because I have now turned on the option of disabling the touchpad whenever an external cursor device is attached (since I primarily always use a mouse).
Needless to say, since we both have no clue as to how the touchpad overheated and damaged the screen (in the exact position and measurement as the touchpad) I feel like it's just a matter of time before it happens again.
Obviously I understand that there's little you can do on your side other than direct me to an HP Support Center. However I hope my worries are justified as I feel that as a consumer I shouldn't have to worry about my brand new product malfunctioning by no fault of my own.

  • HD6850 Cyclone OC high GPU use on idle, low FPS and stutter in games

    Hello,
Sometime in November I got myself a new graphics card, an MSI 6850 (this one).  Beforehand I'd been using an HD4770 for several years with no problems at all.
It ran pretty perfectly for about a month and then I started getting graphics issues with Battlefield 3. Before the problems started I was regularly getting 30-40FPS at 1920x1080 and most things on High. When the issues start I seem to get 5-15FPS regardless of the resolution or quality settings, and sometimes parts of the game don't render at all (the gun doesn't render or other players don't render for a few moments and then just appear out of nowhere). I get similar problems with X3: Albion Prelude. The other tell-tale issue is that if I try to watch a DVD or live TV using Windows media centre the video is laggy and stuttery. Everything else with the machine (like sound) is fine.
What I've noticed is that if I use MSI Afterburner to keep an eye on the GPU that even basic things cause a spike in the % GPU usage. If I load media centre the % GPU usage quickly hits 100% and hovers around there. The GPU temperature stays around 45-50°C with the fan speed at 50%, so this isn't an overheating issue.
I'm using the latest Catalyst drivers, but it happened with the last version as well. A couple of times I've tried to uninstall them and reinstall them but that seems to kill the drivers in the process: the screen turns mainly black with a few sprays of colour and windows half render. If I load the machine up in safe mode at that point everything looks normal, so it seems to be a driver problem. If I try to uninstall the drivers in Safe mode via the Catalyst uninstall option it tells me that it fails to load the detection driver and the only thing in the list of installed components is one of the Microsoft C++ redistributables.
I've tried reformatting my machine and reinstalling Windows, doing clean installs of the drivers (with Driver Sweeper) and reinstalling the drivers onto a HDD instead of the SSD the OS is on. The issues just comes back after a day or two of usage.
The only odd thing I've been able to find is that DXDiag reports the card as having 2803MB of memory even though it is supposed to be a 1024MB card. I've not overclocked the card or any other part of my machine.
Small edit:  if I take the HD6850 out and replace it with my old HD4770, the HD4770 doesn't have any of these problems.  If I put the HD6850 back in the problems return.
If anyone has any ideas why this is happening I'd really love to hear them, it's driving me nuts.
    Specs of the machine:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.80GHz
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (AM3)
GPU: MSI ATI Radeon HD 6850 Cyclone Power Edition 1024MB GDDR5
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 500W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (34A on 12v)

Did you have afterburner loaded before these issues happened? I've read that people have noticed odd things like this with MSI's software loaded in the background.
Recently I've been loading it up first, but the issues started before I had afterburner really.  I'm just using it now to keep an eye on things, but I'll try not touching AB after booting just in case.
I thought I'd fixed it after reinstalling a load of drivers, but it has come back again 24 hours or so later: I'm getting 65-75% GPU use just typing on FireFox.  Damn frustrating.
I may be able to test it in someone else's machine if I can convince them to let me take over it for the coming weekend.  I've no idea what to do if it isn't the card though, I've already done everything right down to a complete format and reinstall.
Update:  Nope, the problems begin even without afterburner.

  • [SOLVED] Low FPS FX 5200

Hi guys I'm using Arch linux about two months and I see that many people get more fps than me with the same card (FX 5200).
    My PC config is:
    AMD DUron processor 1.8 Ghz
    Nvidia FX 5200 128 MB AGP 8X
    Motherboard PCCHIPS M810 v 7,1a

  • Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012 low fps in bootcamp

    Hello,
My English is not so good, so sorry if it's not correct, but I hope anyone could help me.
I have a Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012, 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB ram, 250 GB SSD.
My problem is when I go to bootcamp for gaming I get realy low fps. The most games start at 30 fps, but then they drop immediately to 8/9 fps and a second later back to 30 fps.
It's like a car, when you drive to hard you have to slow down, but then you drive to slow so you need to go faster. He speed up and a second or 2 later he kicks on the brakes and a moment later he speed up again and kicks again on the brakes.
Even with al the game setting on realy low and the lowest resolution. And that al the time in every game. My bootcamp is Windows 8 but in Windows 7 did I have the same problem. I did already a SMC reset and Pram reset and 5 clean installs. But nothing works. I installed al the updates in OS X en in Windows. There al alrealy some forums about this problem, but by them was a SMC reset enough. Maybe something is wrong with my Nvidia grapihc card. The problems starts everytime when the Nvidia card need to do this work.
it's quite an annoying problem, it's not a cheap laptop, but my old laptop ( 2 years old ) are the gaming performs better compared to this one. I think the problems start after this SMC update http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1559?viewlocale=en_US but I'm not quite sure.
Are there more people with this problem, please let me know. And maybe how you solve it.
I hope realy if any one could help me.
If you know a anser, please give it in a comment

  • Qosmio x770 - low FPS

    Hi guys!
So basically the problem is low FPS while playing games like Witcher 2 or "older" game like Battlefield BC2.
Using fraps I got like average 20FPS on High setting.
So I tried everything, changing nvidia settings, using gameboost, killing Toshiba software, power settings....
Does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this except updating graphic driver (we all know Toshiba's policy about that). Is there any process, Win 7 catch or preinstalled Toshiba program that is blocking graphic card for max usage?
    Thank You!

    Hey guys!
So, I have installed new beta drivers 285.38 and underclocl core clock to 675, but still there are no changes regarding my FPS. I got around 30FPS in Battlefield on medium settings and that is when I adjust GPU core back to 775 WTF?!?!?
Here are my nvidia setting, can you compare it to yours please:
    Ambient occlusion: Off
    Anisotropic filtering: Application - controlled
    Antialasing - gamma correction: On
    Antialasing-mode: Application - controlled
    Antialasing-settings: Application - controlled
    Antialasing-transparency: Off
    CUDA_GPU: All
    Max. pre-rendered frames: 3
Multi display: Single display perf. mode
    Power management: Adaptive
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample: Off
    Texture filtering -Megative LOD: Off
    Texture filtering -Quality: Quality
    Texture filtering -Trilinera O.: On
    Threaded opt.: Auto
    Triple buffering: On
Vertical sync: Use the 3d app. settings
Also 3D button does not work properly anymore. Everytime I press it , game minimize.
    Please help!

  • Share games partition Linux/WIndows

I would like to make a partition only for games and be able to use it in Windows and Linux
I know not all of the games work only by having the files (specially on WIndows) but mostly I would be using linux and wine, but I would like to know if there is any problem by using an ntfs partition,

I do this. I use the same partition for Steam games between Linux and Windows... various other games as well. I have it mounted on boot using /etc/fstab.
Haven't had a problem with it yet.

  • [Solved] All Steam games have low FPS

    Hello Archers!
I have recently switched back to Arch a few weeks ago and did not have these issues. However, I did a reinstall due to my own f**kup (it was faster to reinstall) a couple days ago and since then I have had terrible performance with Steam games no matter if I set them to low settings and low resolution or in windowed mode. The only thing I have done different from that install versus this one is I installed KDE instead of Gnome. This issue happens with all games I have and a list of most played are below. I am using the Open ATI driver due to the FGLRX driver not wanting to use both of my monitors at once. Has anyone had this issue before? I am going to look through the Gnome packages and see if there are any graphics related packages that I may try to install.
    System:
    Core i7-2600k

  • [SOLVED] Download speed is slow while playing certain Steam games

This is a weird one: When playing Steam games my download speed (everywhere) drops to a fraction of what it should be (roughly 1/10th). My upload speed is unaffected.
I don't know how long this has been the case but I think it's fairly recent since when playing games I often tab out and do stuff on the net. I would've noticed.
This doesn't happen with Portal 2, Civ V, Guacamelee or Xcom but does happen with Rochard, Steamworks Dig, Gateways (2d puzzle platformer) and Awesomenauts. I was looking for a pattern but I fail to see one.
To be clear about the problem: If I start one of those games and tab out my download speed is 1/10th what it should be. If I exit the game my download speed returns to normal instantly.
I've checked for obvious stuff like Steam downloading in the background (it's not and nor is anything else - no unusual network activity at all). I've checked for mere coincidence - signal dropping/interference and so on and that seems not to be it either. It's also far too consistent and, as I say, upload is unaffected for some reason.
I don't even know what info to give with this one or how to begin tracking it down so any advice will be received gratefully.
I'm running Arch 64bit, all up to date.
    05:03.0 Network controller: Ralink corp. RT2561/RT61 rev B 802.11g
Which I believe is using the rt61pci module.

Ok, well, I *think* I've sort of solved it:
I went through various wifi channels and found that the degree to which my download speed was reduced varied depending on the wifi channel I was on. So I left a game running and watched the download speed and the speed of my CPU and GPU as they clocked up/down and it seems that one of them is managing to interfere with the wifi signal. Or at least that's my best guess. High wifi channel numbers seem to be affected least (significantly so) so ... yeah.
I don't know if this makes sense technically (and no idea how I've never encountered it before) but... that's my guess.

  • MSI GT70 2PE Low FPS in game

    Hi all,
I just bought a MSI GT70 2PE without OS and installed Windows 8.1 and all drivers downloadable on msi.com.
I'm getting an ultra low FPS in World of Warcraft , a ten years old game !!!!
Watch my joined screenshot. Do i have miss something ? Is it really possible to buy a recent notebook with such bad gaming results ??

Yup that is what I needed, now I know your laptops specs. Seems it runs a GTX 880M which should really have no issues at all running games like world of warcraft. Right, first of all, Did you install all the Chipset drivers and so on from the MSI website and are you using the latest Nvidia Drivers?
As HCH mentioned, make sure you are running the game on the dedicated graphics card. You can check this easily as the power button will be orange if it is using the Nvidia GPU and White if it is using the Intel Intergrated graphics.
Also, make sure you are connected to net power when gaming.

  • Macbook Pro Retina Display 15in (Late 2013) low frame rate while gaming on Bootcamp

I used my old macbook pro 15in(early 2011) to play battlefield 4 on bootcamp and got an 35+FPS on low setting. However, I got an extremely low FPS, about 5fps while using the new retina display macbook.

First of all, thanks for sharing such a detailed solution!
I followed these directions with only one minor variation: rather than use boot camp assistant to download drivers in step 1, I just went to http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macoscomponents and downloaded the latest Boot Camp Support Software, which is currently 5.0.5033.
I ran into a problem in the last couple of steps. In step 12, I have no problem selecting my model graphics card (NVidia GeForce GT 750M). However, after I go to Have Disk and select the NVAO file, a whole bunch of models populate the Model field. I scrolled down to find that there are dozens of identical listings, including for NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M of which there are 34. Selecting the first one and installing the drivers failed. Selecting the second one also failed installation. The failure message reads, "Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers software for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. The driver selected for this device does not support this version of Windows." I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1.
    Any ideas anyone?

Is there a chance all those games are using the APU instead of the discreet graphics card? You have to set it up so that games run on your discrete gpu. I'm an nvidia guy, so I don't know exactly how that's done on an AMD based system.
