The IT dept. has choosen java and oracle as base platform, but investigate
to select the building environment for java.
We tested jdevloper 9i trial version for developing UI based on japanees, thai, arabic and and we found it ok, But it can't support persian fonts for implementing
some components such as jbutton, jlabel with persian text.
In persian language some aditional alphabet such as "cheh","geh","ghah"..exist that
    not persent in arabic.
We tested jdevloper on MICROSOFT 2000 WINDOWS with persian support.
is any way to add this capability to jdeveloper? or we must choose a diffrent platform such as .net?

Does Sun JDK 1.3.1 supports persian fonts? Can you write a very

  • Since the latest update to OX I have been unable to download the contents of some emails because pages does not support the font they are created in. Is there a fix for this?

Hi, since I installed the latest update on my Mac I have been unable to open the contents of some emails because it is saying that pages does not recognise the font. For example it is saying 'some features aren't supported, the font Calibri isn't available on OS X. It was replaced with TrebuchetMS' This means that I cannot open letters from my daughters school. Is there any way round this other than getting rid of this nightmare MAC and going back to Windows!?

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6.13/releasenotes/
Had the same problem; would have been nice if they had told s that we need an intel processor on our older Macs! I am up and running again.

  • Persian font in MAC and WINDOWS.

    Hi
I am using persian font (X-series) on my mac and I haven't any problem with these fonts.
*:X series font are for pupular persian font like the B series.
When i want to save my power point with a type that windows can read/write it the X-series persian font are missing and all of my ducument has a bad clutter!!
I know that i can save my document as .PDF files but when I should do some changes on wndows office I need have good and famous persian fonts that are common between win and mac.
    thanks for your helps..........

If you want to open the Powerpoint file in Windows, you should also install those fonts at Windows machine too.
They won't show as nice as the Mac due to lack of text anti-aliasing on Windows, but they will work on Windows too.

  • Does iBooks author and iBooks support thai fonts?

I ,live in Thailand, want to create books by using iBook author but from what i've know iBook only support one font for THAI language, is it true or not.
Also does iBooks author support modifed thai font from the internet?
Last one, can I use .ibooks for limited usage not for public?
    Thank you for your answer

The iPad only has one Thai font, Thonburi, and you cannot embed other fonts using iBook Author.  Here is some info about using other apps

How do I get Firefox to DISPLAY a font as clear and clean as Word? I choose different fonts in Firefox and sizes and nothing really happens.

  • Flash player updater/checker didn't supported extended version?

    When posting, please provide your:
    Operating system version
    Web browser and version
    Flash Player version
A brief explanation of the problem including specific error messages and website URLs
my operating system version: windows 7 professional
my web browser and version: Firefox 27.0.1 (US English)
my flash player version: Extended Support Release - Flash Player 13.0.0.259
A brief explanation of the problem including specific error messages and website URLs: I download and install this flash player from Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe while I thought adobe is still support this version as an option for a customer who prefered the old, stable version more than the new-fancy function and then I go to check that my flash is up-to-date or not (which i knew it is) by this url Flash Player Help and its said "Sorry, your computer does not have the latest Flash Player installed." and i'm sure its the same with the updater. So, the main adobe website didn't supported extended version anymore? then, don't provided them in the first place. Or fixed please.
    Thank you.

Hi C, thanks. Well, you were doing fine with XP/SP3 and IE7, until I saw Norton.:-) Sorry, Norton and McAfee are such a problem. Norton has so many components that need to be found and disabled when Installing Flash Player.
If you have a version number for them it would help and if a Firewall comes with it. If you upgraded then you probably have NIS 2010 and I think it comes with a Firewall.
With the beta installed and then Uninstalling/Installing, you probably have mixed Flash Player files. Following is what you need to do.
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Adobe Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Adobe Installer for Internet Explorer:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
Go to Tools>Internet Options and click on the Security Tab and make sure the Internet Zone is set to Medium.
Check your system tray for any applications that may use Flash. Don't do anything yet, just know how to disable them when the time comes. Same thing with Norton. Do a right click and just see what components you see there that need to be disabled when needed to be done. I probably have all of them in a folder and will check for you. Also if you see where the Firewall can be disabled.
Now there is an add'l step needed for IE, which I'll tell you.
If you have any questions, just ask. Don't try Uninstalling/Installing until I give you the instructions. I am very detailed because I don't like to do things over. The better the prep work, the better chance for success the first time.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • HT4637 Does Pages for iPad support Tahoma font?

My daughter has just started University a few days ago. She was asked to use Tahoma font in her documents.
I want to know whether Pages support Tahoma font?  Please advise.  Thanks and best regards

For everybody who is sick and tired of not being able to use custom fonts in their documents on their iOS devices I might have a solution.
I ran into similar problems and took this as my motivation to develop "AnyFont". With this little app you are able to install all the fonts you need for your documents on your iPhone or iPad. So when your need Tahoma on your iPad you can use AnyFont to install it right away.
Let me know how you like it!

I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

  • [SOLVED] "Sorry, that didn't work. Please try again."

    Hi,
I installed arch 3 days ago based on the wiki's Beginner's Guide and Whitson Gordon's excellent (if slightly outdated) install guide over at lifehacker. First of all, I would just like to say that overall, my experience with this distribution has been positive. I love the principles behind arch, I love the emphasis on end-user education and participation. But while the documentation here is very helpful for the most part, I have been unable to do one thing: connect to wireless networks.
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1545, with the Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01) wireless card. Having used several different flavors of Debian in the past, I am well aware of the hoops that need to be jumped through to get Broadcom chips up and running. This part was actually pretty easy with the AUR and pacman.
I downloaded the b43-firmware package from (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=21690) here, built and installed it smoothly. I'm using NetworkManager in the GNOME desktop, and I can see all of the nearby wireless networks from the icon's interface. I read NetworkManager's (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … figuration) wiki entry and carefully followed the configuration instructions.
However, when I try to connect to my home network, upon entering my password, I get the message "Sorry, that didn't work. Please try again." and I'm returned to my desktop (yes, it's the correct password; I typed it out in an open terminal window and copied and pasted, just to be absolutely sure).
I tried taking my laptop to a friend's house and connecting to her network, (she's running Ubuntu, if by some bizarre chance that at all matters in any way) and got the same problem. Both networks are WPA encrypted, and, thinking that that was where the problem was, read and followed directions from the wiki entries for (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WPA_supplicant) WPA-supplicant, double-checked the (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless) Broadcom Wireless page to see if I missed any related details, and re-read the entire (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Network) Configuring Network page looking for a solution.
I have read numerous threads in this forum, googled through related threads in the forums of other distributions as well, but I simply cannot find a solution that will let me work this out.
I'm asking for help here from any other Broadcom WPA users who have had and solved this same problem, and also from any experienced archer who can maybe spot something stupid I've done going through the installation and set-up process.
If there is any step of my setup that needs clarifying, or if there is any output I can drop here to shed light on the situation, please reply or send me an email. If there is any documentation that you think I might have missed, you could just post that here as well. I just want very much to get to the bottom of this problem.
    thanks very much arch community,
    -Clay

I'm just an idiot, thank you for demonstrating that, Strike0. Root password dismissed the networking settings permissions prompt that I had confused for the router's security prompt, wireless is working fine now.
Also, thanks for that formatting help, bernarcher. I'll try to keep my posts better organized in the future. :]
I just thought id mention that something like this happens to all of us at one point- dont feel bad
Got stick with it and learn what you can..
