[solved] new pidgin severely broken

the newest version from pidgin is severely broken. It segfaults everytime i start it. i tried removing .purple and it seemed to start ok, but then i added the oldest blist.xml and accounts.xml and it segfaults again, so it's not because of broken plugins...
i'm not willing to configure everything by hand now, can anyone help?

I'm having no issues with Pidgin, but you can try to downgrade to the previous version, if you haven't cleared your cache.
Check into /var/cache/pacman/pkg and see if you find it, then install it with pacman using the -U flag.
Other than that, if you want to fix the issue, I suggest to run pidgin from the command line to get some debug information (the -d flag is useful, too).

Can you please repair this and update me when that has been done.
    Have a great day.

    Gary,
Thanks, I'll get that sorted, but until we do, (don't laugh), the second half of the link actually works.

I have mi new ipad screen broken in one corner, I was really disappointed because it was drop from about 30 cm so I was not expecting the screen to be broken, well I went to apple store in regents street in London  and I was told that I have to pay 250 pounds for the screen replacement, it was a rip off and after many years using apple products I have expend thousands of pounds on them, I just think is  a rip off price. It will be difficult but I won't be buying any apple products anymore, I really feel like I was abuse that was half of the price of a new iPad. I have never complain in my life but this time I think apple is abusing me as a costumer.
I'm really upset, I'm furious that apple uses his dominance in the market to Rip off costumers like me.

  • [Solved] Severely broken system after update

I need help with system that doesn't boot after update.
I tried to make pacman -Syu on a system which was not updated since 2010 xmass... probably being overwhelmed by number of issues I did something wrong, but now the system is in a very bad state.
I think that the main issue was glibc update. I followed the instruction to install all other packages before glibc, but every second package was complaining about glibc (although they all updated). Then pacman became broken, but I solved this and finally everything got updated.
Everything looked fine right after update, but now the system is "unable to find root device" on boot.
I tried to boot with recent arch usb stick (cd drive is broken in the computer), but it doesn't boot (reboots right after "loading archiso.img"). I managed to boot with ubuntu usb stick. I chrooted to my arch partition using these instructions:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Chroot#Change_root
then, following pacman wiki I reinstalled linux, mkinitcpio and systemd.
It didn't help. The last thing I can think of is to reinstall all packages via chroot. Is there any handy way to do this, taking into account that some packages could have been installed from AUR (I don't care about them at this point, but I wouldn't like this to stop me from reinstalling all other packages)?
    Any other ideas?

It's not a solution since arch installation usb stick doesn't work for me, as I mentioned above. I must either make this installation work, or move to ubuntu (gah!)
    edit:
I managed to boot. After the error message at the beginning I'm left with "you can type exit to continue booting, but it will most likely fail"... it doesn't fail, and system appears to be working normally (well, except some error about consolekit when X is starting, probably unrelated).
Now the question is how to avoid this error message at the beginning...

  • Solved: New iPod nano 8g not seen in My Computer/iTunes after Apple Support

I received this iPod as a Christmas gift and it has taken months to get it working but I am happy to say I finally did. I wanted to post what I did to solve the problem in case anyone else is having the same issue.
    Background Information:
    - Windows XP operating system (I had to upgrade to SP 2 just for this iPod)
    - Computer works fine with an older iPod nano
    - New iPod nano would simply bring up the "Install Hardware Wizard" and always resulted in "Cannot Install Hardware"
    - Nothing would show up in My Computer
    - iPod would say "Connected, Eject before disconnecting" when it was connected
    - Under "Services" iPod service was running & Started
    - Under "Device Manager" iPod showed up under "Other Devices" with an exclamation/question mark for "iPod" (note: this did not show up under USB controllers)
What I Have Tried That Didn't Work:
    - Downloading new iTunes. I did this a few times and ended up with 7.6.1.9
    - Uninstall and reinstall iTunes and Quicktime
    - Tried Install Hardware Wizard option to search for drivers in c:\WINNT\inf (or c:\windows\inf if that's what you have)
    - Restarted computer several times and tried creating a new user in Windows XP
    - Tried going to "Right-click-My Computer"-"Manage"-"Device Manager" and uninstalled any instance of iPod (under "Other Devices") and tried refreshing / re-installing
    - Tried stopping and restarting the iPod service in "Services"
    - Tried restarting iPod, resetting it, all those 5 R's and other Apple support docs online
    - Tried finding answers in forums
    - Finally today I spent a few hours on the phone with Apple Support, and after repeating everything in their self-help documents online, and it still didn't work, they said "Call Microsoft and tell them you have a driver issue" and that my new iPod needed some additional driver (which is why old iPod works but not new)
So that's where I left off this afternoon. I think I've seen people who haven't had much luck getting Microsoft support to help with iPod issues, so I continued searching online. I tried updating my Video driver from the Gateway.com website and that didn't work.
On the microsoft.com website, the best I could find was a registry change which told me to delete registry keys for UpperFilters and LowerFilters, which I didn't even have so I couldn't try.
Finally, here is the solution to what worked:
I searched for iPod - specific drivers, and on some random help forum - http://www.computing.net/hardware/wwwboard/forum/43267.html
You'll see they mention "usbstor.inf" which needs to be in c:\winnt\inf (or c:\windows\inf). I checked my computer and it was missing. Luckily, it was there on my work laptop which was also recently upgraded to Windows XP so I e-mailed it to myself (glad I didn't have to trust some one online).
I also followed his directions to add "usbstor.sys" from c:\winnt\servicepack files\i386\ to c:\winnt\system32\drivers.
    Lastly, I saw some other usb*.inf and usb*.pnf files on my laptop so I decided what-the-heck, I'll grab them all since I only had usbvideo.inf, and thus I extracted the following into my c:\winnt\inf directory: usb.inf, usb.pnf, usbport.inf, usbport.pnf, usbprint.pnf, usbprint.inf, usbstor.pnf, usbtor.inf.
I restarted my computer and right away my iPod magically appeared in MyComputer and when I opened iTunes, it was also successfully there. Funny thing is, Windows Install Hardware Wizard popped up and I pointed it to that directory -- guess what, it didn't work. Apparently that doesn't matter. Every time I plug in my iPod now, I will just skip the "Install New Hardware Wizard" and go straight to iTunes.
I know this was lengthy but I thought I could save some one else hours of checking around--- just go look in your "inf" directory and make sure you have the usbstor.inf file!
    Good luck!!!!

  • [SOLVED] X11 hid support broken on fresh macbook install

    Hi!
The solution was elementary indeed, I was missing xf86-input-keyboard and xf86-input-mouse. (looooooooooool)
What bugs me though, is how this could happen to an already working system. From what I remember I didn't touch those drivers on my previuos system, I guess I installed them and forgot about them, but why would they break from a system update? Anyway, I guess that's nobody's concern by now. Thread solved.
Old title: X11 hid support completely broken after system update. Now, I've completely reinstalled the system but the error remains. Please read the post below.
I've a problem with X11 support for input devices since running pacman -Syu 2 days ago. This post contains error logs and a description of my attempts to counter the problem. The hardware is a MacBook, first generation. I'm a novice linux user but seasoned with GNU and a quick learner. The solution to this might be simple, but google didn't give me anything usable. All forum threads I found were either unsolved or irrelevant.
This is what has passed. (long story short, may or may not be relevant, my current problem is explained below)
    * After the first reboot since the system update, X11 didn't give me anything except a movable cursor. The screen was completely black using the xmonad wm, and when using twm, it was completely distorted with blue patterns. I start searching for sources of the trouble.
    * ALSA and pommed complain about driver errors during boot. I can't read the messages because they skip by too quickly. I remove them from rc.conf because I prefer dealing with one problem at a time.
    * modprobe complained about framebuffer_blacklist.pacsave having an erroneous extension in /etc/modprobe.d. It actually loaded both the .conf and the .pacsave. I tried swapping between this .pacsave (is it the same or opposite of a .pacorig, btw?) and the .conf. Obviously modprobe stopped complaining when there was no erroneous extension, but I didn't notice it fixing anything else. I'm unsure whether the framebuffer is even relevant.
    * I decide that the problem didn't have anything to do with modprobe. I don't know what happened exactly during this phase, but for some strange reason, the graphics cease to be jumbled. twm starts the default programs, but is not interactive. I could move the mouse, but no mouse buttons were working. Keyboard not working at all.
    * I decide to wipe X11 and hal. I also rm -rf:ed /usr/share/hal, /etc/hal, /usr/share/X11 and /etc/X11 (yeah, I got angry).
    * Reinstalled X11 and hal. Also rm -rf:ed /usr/share/hal, /etc/X11 and /usr/share/X11 (I got really angry). Stuff works now! However, setxkbmap made everything break again, both mouse and keyboard. I read the output of startx and realise evdev hasn't been loaded, since /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/evdev is missing. The whole folder structure /usr/share/X11/xkb is actually missing. I randomly hit the target and run pacman -S xkeyboard-configure, which creates the folder structure along with the evdev ruleset.
    * The keyboard does not work when using evdev. Temporarily renaming it so that it doesn't get loaded fixes the problem. If I'm not mistaken this makes X11 revert to not-hotplugged keyboard and mouse preferences in xorg.conf (which is auto-generated). The keyboard and mouse then works again (but, obviously, not setxkbmap, and I really need input hotplugging as a laptop user).
    * It's getting late, so I shutdown and go to bed.
Waking up today, neither keyboard nor mouse is working - also when not using evdev! I've really no idea where to go from here. I've some output for you to analyze:

Alright, I got fed up and decided to reinstall the system.
Only installed wireless_tools, madwifi, hal, xorg and xf86-video-intel.
Edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf to select the intel video driver.
The mouse and keyboard are still frozen.
Here are some much cleaner Xorg.0.log, xorg.conf and startx_output.log files, I hope it will be easier for any readers of this post to find errors here:
    Output of startx:
    hostname: Host name lookup failure
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.4956

  • FF 14.0.1, Multiple issues, new tab button broken, sites freeze, unstable, more..

I can't load the some random pages, the new tab button next to the farthest right tab clicks but does not open a new tab... <ctrl>+T does work still.
Pages that load in other browsers time out or otherwise fail to load since the 14.0.1 update.
    General instability of Firefox.
sometimes the browser is slow to load, even though there is no problem with the connection or site. (verified by quickly opening opera or chrome, loading the same page in those browsers while FF is still trying)
This is the saddest release of Firefox ever.
Please fix my browser of choice.
Opera looks better every day, as Firefox keeps getting worse.
I remember not to long ago when a running instance of Firefox was ~28MB of RAM, and even a slow leak would not top 100MB in a day's browsing....
Now it starts with several hundred MB's before the home page is even loaded...
    Sloppy.
Programmers thought they were slick and convinced Mozilla Foundation a bigger footprint would be more stable... look what's happened... more code to sift to even find problems..
I still need IETab v2 just to be able to use all sites I want.... hasn't Firefox got enough intelligence to figure certain code is used and switch to a different rendering technique?
At least we have IETab v2 when we need it.... it would be nice to not need an addon to make up for a lack of functionality in FF. (Yes, I know Microsoft uses non-standard HTML... and I also know after years of that same code being used that Firefox COULD see that and accept it as something that must just be accepted)
Those pages may not be in compliance with W3C standards, but who wants to live under a dictator anyway... deal with it.
Firefox keeps getting bigger and less desirable, with less reliability... Trim the fat... I'd take stability and reasonable functionality any day. I sorely miss FF 3.X...

    Hi,
Please try the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems Reset Firefox] feature via '''Help''' ('''Alt''' + '''H''') > '''Troubleshooting Information'''. Hopefully most of the issues will be solved.
(To revert to the previous profile you were using, close the new profile (i.e. exit Firefox), start Firefox and choose the '''Default User''' profile. While the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Profile Manager] is open, you can also delete the newly reset profile (the one containing random numbers), or the former profile, as the case may be). If the reset is okay, it would be a good idea to delete the old profile as otherwise it would be left intact with the previous data until deleted.

  • I finally solved the mystery of broken Flash by downgrading to Flash 10.0.12.36

I'm one of the many users who seems to be having trouble with Flash these days. I solved my issue by downgrading to Flash 10.0.12.36, and I think I figured out why it was happening. I use Firefox 9.0.1, and I believe Flash incorrectly detected this and silently pushed an incompatible new version. Gee, thanks Adobe.
Note: Flash 10.0.12.36 detected my Opera installation but not my Firefox installlation, but manually copying the files from Opera's plugins folder to Firefox's worked fine.
Additional Note: No, I will not upgrade. Stop typing, close your mouth. Don't even start. Take it somewhere else - preferably to another browser's dev team. Firefox has fallen long and hard since the glory days of 1.x, and 9.0.1 is the final usable version of Firefox for me. If you put half as much effort into backporting security fixes to old versions as you put into yelling at people to upgrade, you might have a happy userbase instead of a confused, angry, rapidly shrinking one. It's not the easiest way to build a product, but when was the moral high road ever easy? From my point of view, the browser's job is to unquestioningly enable content. You want to add restrictions and security? That is what addons are for. I have absolutely zero fear of running old versions; between addons and using about:config to excise unwanted Firefox features, nothing suspicious ever gets a chance to become active. I frequent some of the scariest, most infected places on the web and I have not been infected since the 90's. So I do not need to upgrade. You need to downgrade, and get back in touch with your alienated former users, who want a modern browser that looks and acts like Firefox 1.x and would rather scrap a proposed feature entirely than break a single addon.
OK, I feel much, much better now. Time to go watch some Youtube!

You may wish to note that at least some of the problems on any Windows system after Windows XP could relate to the use of FlashPlayers protected mode.
Some users may wish to employ the most recent version of Flash Player that will work on their sytem. in which case it could be worth trying an up-to-date version of FlashPlayer but with protected mode disabled.
The setting is changeable by editing a file ( adding the line ProtectedMode=0 to the Flash "mms.cfg" file) and instructions may be found in these articles

  • [SOLVED]New Build, no sound, Alsa unable to open slave

I've been happily using Arch on an old laptop I had lying around for 4/5  months, alongside ARM on my Raspberry Pi for a year or so. Being more than happy with it I decided to sell my 2011 i5 iMac, build a pc and hopefully learn something along the way. I mention this as it's my first build and the issue may be hardware realted, or more likely my assembly of the hardware, I've updated my sig to reflect the new parts.
The first decision I made two days ago upon putting the system together. I had two plugs, one for HD audio, another for Realtek audio, I went with the HD option. The other variable that is new to me is an audio option in the Gigabyte uefi/bios for audio which has options for enabled, disabled & auto - I've tried all three. I thought at first going with HD option may have meant sound only via hdmi, I'm using an old vga monitor, but after a little reading it seems the HD option should work with the standard audio out's on the motherboard & case too.
I've got a 3.5mm jack plugged into the line out on the back of the motherboard going to a phono connection on my stereo, I've also tried the headphone out on the front of the case, Zalman Z9.
    I've installed alsa-plugins and alsa-utils. Upon running speaker-test, or speaker-test -c 2 I'm getting:
    speaker-test -c 2
    speaker-test 1.0.27.2
    Playback device is default

The above is all without any .asoundrc in my home directory or anything in /etc.modprobe.d/*.conf
From the wiki I've tried putting
    options snd slots=snd_mia,snd_hda_intel
    options snd_mia index=0
    options snd_hda_intel index=1
in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, and tried reversing the 1 and 0, both 0's, both 1's to no avail.
I've tried a few variations in .asoundrc based on the wiki example with no luck.
I'm lost, this is the first time I've had sound issues with linux and I'm really not sure if it's rooted in the hardware, my first attempt at building a pc or a simple alsa config issue.
Googling for unable to open slave in alsa seems to bring up mainly conflicting programm issues whic I don't think is my issue as I have no sound at all.
    *edit*
perhaps this should be in newbie corner? my linux sound knowledge is definitely newbie status.

Solved, not sure where I was going wrong in my initial attempts but a simple .asoundrc has my speakers singing. Could have sworn this was tried to death in the first half hour or so, oh well.
On the plus side I spent my lunch hour today getting a rough idea of sound on linux and alsa preparing for a fight with my new build, ten minutes after booting up the new machine on my return home & all is well.

  • [Solved] After watching several youtube html5 720p videos, Firefox (version 33) display or screen turns black and aero transparency in windows 7 turns opaque.

Hello ! I just want to share something familiar with that black display or screen occurs for some people. When I watch youtube videos, I used to watch them in html5 720p videos (not flash videos, https://www.youtube.com/html5 ). I upgraded firefox to version 33. No black display when I used it. Randomly and after watching several html5 videos on youtube, aero transparency in my windows 7 turns opaque and firefox display goes all black. Firefox doesn't respond at any command. I need to kill his process in task manager in order to close it. When I open firefox again, normal display goes. To relaunch aero transparency in windows 7, I need to restart the service whose name is, I think, "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager". I use windows 7 in french and the service name is "Gestionnaire de sessions de Gestionnaire de fenetrage".
To solve this, I upgraded my graphic driver but this didn't work. I tried to put "layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled" to false in "about:config" menu. No random black display but some html elements turned black for some seconds or definitely when firefox rendered web pages. I tried to uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" in options menu. No random black display but html5 720p videos didn't play smoothly.
Then, I chose to watch youtube 720p videos again with flash player and no random black display and html5 720p videos played normally.
Here are my graphic acceleration infos :

I hope this will be useful to solve this problem in future versions or to someone.

This is happening to me too, I don't know if this is an Adobe Flash Player 11.5's bug or it's just my computer. All my browsers, chrome, IE9, Fox, doesn't even load anime videos. I tried reinstalling 11.5 many times, it have no effect but I use IE9 64-bit to run the videos that couldn't run. I waited 25 min for a JW player to load an episode of anime and I'm sick of it.

  • [SOLVED] New Install of Gnome 3.2 doesn't feel like loading

    Greetings,
Before making this post, I have spent the majority of the day trying to solve this issue. I have switched from nvidia drivers to nouvela (sp?) drivers, incase that was the issue. I have scoured google, arch-wiki, and the forums until my eyes have bled. I have dug through the xsession-errors log to search out any missing components that might be causing this... but to no avail. If anything, trying to run and try Gnome 3.2 has made me feel like a complete idiot, who has obviously learnt nothing after years of using linux. So, I come here hoping that some one can point me to the solution my brain cannot itself come up with.
    Here the situation:
I have been running KDE4 for quite some time happily. I have ran Gnome 3 back in its beginning days succesfully as well, but that was an older, now dead, pc. Having seen some neat little things about the new Gnome 3.2, I got an itch to give it a try. So, I go and follow the Gnome article on the excellent arch wiki- installing both gnome and gnome extras, letting it grab everything, change from kdm to gdm, and reboot.
Well, it gives me the old gdm I remember from the early gnome 3 days (wasn't this changed) despite it showing that it is GDM 3.2 via pacman. It shows my user name, lets me put my password, and shows the stripped background. One thing to note is that the cursor remains a clock face, never changing to a pointer.
I log in, choosing GNOME, all that remains is the wallpaper, with the clockface cursor, no pointer. I go take the kids to the bus stop, come back apx. 20 min. later, no change.
Ok, bug crushing time right? So I go through the steps. I make sure that gnome shell is indeed installed. I remove any config files (there weren't any), remove gnome shell, reinstall. No go. I rinse and repeat, but removing & reinstalling different things, such as GDM, and even gnome completely. No go.
Hopping into pekwm, I search. I make copies of the xsession-errors each time, and load them in pekwm after a reboot, looking through with pacman by myside to make sure I have any possible missing files. And finally after failure after failure I give up, and come here.
So, here's my xsession-errors log. Please, if anyone can help, or even offer any kind of suggestion that might spark something in my brain to get me going in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. If this thread needs moved, merged, etc, please do so... I've searched the forums, but now my brain is numb, so yeah...

Ok, I guess all it took was for me to post this to wake up and be able to solve the issue.
It is simple really. I just needed to re-install libltdl.
So, for those searching, if you get this similar problem,
    pacman -S libltdl
is what solved it for me.

  • Apple store returns my MBP17 with a new logicboard but broken dvd & battery

    i posted here before http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2383997&tstart=0
this is regards to MBP17 2006 NVDIA defected card return policy as prior thread title states, the computer fell under the coverage once the video card died, apple stores covered the parts by replacing the logic board.
Now i travel allot and apple claims where i took it i must return to fix it if the store messed it up., before this i asked them if it was fine to send it to spain so when i got there it would be ready, they agreed to accept it and ship it out if it was delayed in any way.
the mbp was sent to spain from italy, the logic board was replaced if not the next day, the store claimed they had a logic board in stock around and i was lucky, i told them not so true since i paid over 5 grand for this computer while everyone knew it was defected and i have to use it allot for video editing and any thing like that slows your cpu down., they denied that the logic board effects the performance even if the NVDIA video card was basically dying, one can not complain about that one right.
But what is interesting is that i took this mbp to the same apple place in spain a year before about the NVDIA card flickering, the clerk at the apple store agreed the flickering was the video card and told me it was covered, however, 14 days later they gave me a bill of 800 dollars instead for a broken dvd, dead battery, no blue tooth or airport and refused to replace the card until it was completely dead, i mean they really must argue with every word in their contracts legally to what they will cover to save penny's, but what is impossible is that it all worked accept for the flickering going on by the video card so i basically paid 4700 dollars for defected computer.
i showed the clerk again in his face after i complained that everything but the card worked and the bill was incorrect and he said he did not understand what happened and i should speak to the technician and he was not in as i assumed because i had to go to Berlin that day, assumed they knew that, So when i called i used skype and recorded this conversation, the tech said according to their tests the battery is dead, dvd player does not work and no airport or bluetooth works, but im on the net now speaking to him over skype about it, but he insisted its what their tests say and the problem. weird.
the prior experienced led me to believe that something stinks here, can a apple store run a chop shop billing people, can people test there computers to see if parts are replaced, when they where last used for what to protect themselves from scammers?
the recent experience tells me once you go to a apple store in Europe and they screw up apple claims you have to return to that same store, even if your traveling or had the computer shipped to italy or france?
what can i do to prove this computer was working besides 15 dvds i burned since the time they told me the dvd player was broken and now i can not even run a hardware test becuase it spits out every dvd, its not dust either, and aiport works, im on line now, blue tooth works, synced my sony 10 secs ago while typing, the video obviously finally works, th efan works since the heat sensors are not connected properly,
what am i supposed to do now outside of spain where im told i have to send it back to the same chop shop in spain?, how can customers protect themselves if something suspicious like this takes place?

Logic, it's difficult to say. As a previous of several years with the company I can speak from one perspective. As a customer of the company for 14+ years before employment, my experience would indicate something else.
While in England on a business trip my optical drive failed (2nd time) with the original replacement being performed by an Apple Authorized Service Provider in France. The service was performed in a very satisfactory timeline, with a genuine Apple service part. I got my receipt and copy of the work order "for my records."
When I went to the store in England (again, Apple Authorized Service Provider) and they asked about prior service on the machine I showed them that work order. Their response was pretty clear: "Wow, you hold onto those receipts? That's fantastic because the systems we use with Apple are pretty much confined to the country of repair and we can see very limited service history outside of the country."
This incident was 6 years ago, so I'm sure some things have changed. But I'm still a firm believer that for the best "end result" for the original poster would be to begin the process in the country where the service occurred and then proceed from there.

  • [solved] Non-alphanumeric characters broken in TinyChat

    Hello, fellow archers.
I've been having a bit of trouble with the TinyChat site. Most non-alphanumeric characters are being displayed as crossed-out boxes. This problem is exclusive to TinyChat and has not occured in any other Flash applications.
An example of the broken characters:
Note how the / and > characters are not broken.
This is the second installation of ArchLinux on my computer, the problem occured on the current install only. I suspect the problem is caused by a missing package, though the only hint I was able to find was installing the ttf-ms-fonts package (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/br … ash_Player). This did not resolve the issue.
    Package versions:
    firefox 34.0.5-1
    flashplugin 11.2.202.425-1
I'll gladly provide any other information that could help resolve this issue.

As with most things Arch, you have to do this yourself -- edit the title of your first post & put "[SOLVED]" at the beginning.
Whops. The subject length was exactly at the maximum length, and since I couldn't edit the title any further, I thought a moderator had to edit it. Apologies!

  • [SOLVED] New attributes in View Object not visible in pageDef

    Hi,
I'm having a View Object whererin I create new attributes. The problem is that the newly created attributes are not available for selection in a table binding in the page definition.
It seems like there is still somewhere a reference to the 'old' collection of attributes of the View Object. Is there a way to force an update?
The .xml file of the View seems to have the correct query containing the new attributes. Altough, when I try to edit the table binding in the pageDefinition, the attributes are not available in the 'Available Attributes' frame.
    Thanks,
    Koen Verhulst

    Hi Chetan,
I am now able to add a new tab after adding a new entry with the Main View name in "Assign Access levels to Incident Tabs" in transaction SPRO.
However, I am now facing a new issue when I add a main view in OIF component. There are 12 main views in the Object Instance Schema with ID's MainView<sequencenumber> as shown below.
But when I add a new main view I am getting the ID with the format MainVIew<sequencenumber_hexadecimalvalues> and also I am able to edit the ID value which is not enabled for other main views as shown below.
The problem with this hexadecimal value is that every time a change is done and I save the configuration, the number changes and this is causing problem as the configuration in SPRO does not match and the new tab becomes invisible.
Please could you let me know what could be the reason and how to rectify this?
