SOLVED: No YouTube App installed...

Solved. Turns out I had restrictions on...
*My iPod doesn't have the YouTube app installed. It was never on it. I cannot find this problem anywhere else. Everyone else appears to have the app installed, but just can't connect, I can't even get to that! There is no YouTube app anywhere in my list of apps. I'm running the latest OS and I can't work out how to download this from anywhere. Google searches get me no-where.. Any ideas?*

Yes, I am connected to the Internet through my wifi. Everything is working fine with the e  eption of youtube.  I have reset all Internet settings and have tried synching to iTunes followed by rebooting.  This is all the advice I have found although none of it has been helpful.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  • Can't install new Google Youtube app

After updating my ipad 2 to IOS 6.1.3, I when to the app store to download Google's youtube app.  But the button Free is disabled.  The button for other youtube apps are also disabled except padTube which I was able to install.  I also wanted to install Jasmine youtube, but it is also disabled.  Can somebody please tell me what's wrong?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • I just downloaded the IOS 6 update on my iPad 2, and it deleted my youtube app that was already installed when I got the iPad. I want it back.

Okay, I just downloaded IOS 6 on my iPad 2, and it deleted the youtube app that was already installed when I got the iPad, I downloaded the new app from the apple store and it doesn't fit my screen, this is ******* me off and I would like it back.

Here is the thing the actual license for Apple to have a native YouTube app has expired you must understand this more about Apple removing Google from its ecosystem and less about actual licenses.  If Apple was so inclined I am almost certain they could have continued to provide a native YouTube app.
Do you really think that Apple Maps are "better" for iOS users?  You know that you can set your default search to another provider such as Bing?  Imagine Apple changing its default Safari search to Bing.  You must understand that Google makes more from searches on iOS devices than it does on everyting that is Andriod (source:http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-earns-four-times-more-from-ios-than-a ndroid/).  Apple is slowly and meticulously working on freeing iOS of Google products.
Of course it is a free market and Apple will most certainly allow Google's apps on their app store.

  • After installing iOS 6, YouTube app no longer exist?

After installing iOS 6, YouTube app no longer exist?

Correct, the YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version and there is Jasmine), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

  • Installed youtube app, but it's not there!

hello, i installed Google's Youtube app from google mobile products page on my C7, but i can't find it in the applications menu (none of the categories). The app manager shows it as installed though. What's wrong?

Viewing the Youtube mobile site is not the way to go for me, because I don't like the Symbian browser and also the site is hard to manipulate with those tiny links and looks bad.
The app, on the other hand was recently updated for S3, it looks nicer and has big, finger friendly buttons. It has 2 downsides though compared to the browser experience: 1 it doesn't allow uploading :-( and 2 you can't view in high resolutions, the quality is very "mobile" even on a WLAN connection.
However, I found it on my phone after all. The reason I couldn't find  it is that it replaced the mere link that was behind the Youtube icon in Video&TV submenu, but 'I thought that it was still just a link to the mobile site and was looking for an additional one for the app :-)

  • TS1702 The youtube app that came pre-italled on my iPad just has disappeared! I did not delete it consciously. How do I get it back. I tried going to App Store but what I installed is not nearly as good and I do not like it at all! How do I get orig?

Can anyone tell me how to get the original YouTube application back on my iPad?

If you've updated to iOS 6 then the YouTube app is no longer included - you will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)
If you are on iOS 5 and you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders and you've tried searching for it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the righ), then is it hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTubebeing 'off' ?

  • IPhone showing prompt for installing official Youtube app

We're creating iPhone renditions of some folios we've created and published for iPad.  Instead of embedding videos into the folio we're linking to them on Youtube using "Open in Folio."  While this works well on the iPad, on the iPhone it keeps popping up the following message when the in-app browser opens:
I'm pretty sure this just started happening yesterday or today since I haven't seen it in prior testing.  It seems like it's a change on Youtube's part when detecting a small mobile device visiting their website.  Even after using the link to take me to the app store and download the Youtube app I'm still getting the same popup in the Adobe Content Viewer.  It isn't changing to a prompt asking if I'd like to open the video in the Youtube app like it does when I use "Open in Device Browser" with an Android folio rendition.  Has anyone else noticed this?  Any suggestions for a solution?  It's rather annoying to have this message popup every time you try to view a video.  I'd gladly use "Open in Device Browser", however that means that there's no easy back button or other way for the user to get back to my app/folio.
    Andrew

To me I think they need to re-vamp this app. Totally change and improve it. It has so much potential. Since the first iPhone came out they have had only 1 feature added to this app the whole time.

  • HT201272 Ever since I updated my iPad to the new iOS 6, my iPad has deleted the YouTube app that was already installed and I don't know how to get it back. How can I get it back??

^^ above in the title is my question.

you can't get the old you tube icon because apple deleted it. BUT you can download youtube app on the app store for free and its actually better and faster than the previous youtube app that you want. hope this helps!

  • I have installed iso 6 but YouTube app is missing

Hi , i have updated the software today but YouTube app is missing any body will help me why's this is?

I use the "google search" app for now, to view html 5 compliant youtube videos on my ipad 2 after the iOS 6 update.
    http://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/google-search/id284815942?mt=8
Type youtube into your search window in the app, choose youtube top results (broadcast yourself) and a sliding tab from the right will appear.
Do all of your video searches from this tab to get hd full sceen and airplay video on the ipad.

  • HT1414 Why did my YouTube app disappear?  It came installed on he iPad when I bought it.

For some reason the YouTube app disappeared.  It was there last night and when I went to open the app this morning, it wasn't there.  This app was pre-loaded on the iPad when I bought it.  How do I recover it?
    Thanks for any help.

You must have just updated your device to iOS6?  If you did YouTube is no longer a native app, because the agreement between Apple and Google was up and this has been published for months.  There is now a YouTube App in the App Store, you can download from Google.  Go to the App Store, and in search type Google.  You'll find YouTube there.  Note:  The app is currently optimized for iPhone.  Google is working on an iPad specific YouTube App, but it is not ready yet.  To get the iPhone app to fill your screen, use the 2X on the bottom right of the screen.

  • Filenames of the Youtube app and where is it place...

    Hello!
I want to understand the system, how apps are stored on the e52 and how they are linked with the menu.
e.g. can you tell me, how the files of the Youtube app are called on your phone, and where thoses files are placed?
I can see this app in the program manager and start it via Ovi Store (???), but I cannot see it in the file manager or menu (I searched all folders)
I also see Youtube, if I search my apps with the Application Manager from PC Suite or with Ovi Suite, when I connect my phone with my PC.
Funny thing: Yesterday I installed a "Pipes" from softonic - I downloaded the file to my memory card and installed it - I can see this program in the menu and file manager.
I'm happy about any tipp - this is very disturbing.
I don't want to do a backup of my phone and a deep reset, because last time after this, I had to reinstall many different things - this has been lots of work.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Schlaumy
"Two beer or not two beer?"

    Hello!
This topic with the invisible Youtube app cannot be solved, because it's a very deep problem - some say, it is a problem of the Youtube app, and I should tell Google, which I will do later.
The handles to solve this problem are on a very deep system level, like explained here:
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?219079-Moved-Application-not-visible-after-ph...
Most of the important data are hidden and invisible.
As we are all no Nokia or Application developers, we have to use the "normal way":
Saving all private data from phone and memory card - format memory card and do a deep reset with *#7370# (ATTENTION: this kills all apps and settings for apps)
Maybe a backup via PC Suite or Ovi Suite can help saving time with backup of the whole phone - but this is an open question, because it could be, that damaged data are also saved in the backup.
    Best regards,
    Schlaumy

  • Will the YouTube app ever come back

Will the YouTube app come back

Probably not, as the license to pre-install it on iOS has expired.
Instead of adding the youtube website to your bookmarks page, you could also go to safari, then to youtube website and select "add to homescreen". That way you can always use the mobile youtube website with only one click on your homescreen - just like an actual youtube application.
    Hope that solved your problem?
