[SOLVED] php output produce some confusing chars?

Hi,
i use the arm version of archlinux on a sheeva plug
The plug runs as a local web and file server.
I follow the wiki for apache and php.
It runs for a long time but now i get some chines chars?
Example:
a short php script like:
<?php
echo "some test";
?>
produce:
獯浥⁴敳
access_log for this page:
192.168.0.11 - - [16/Oct/2011:17:13:45 +0200] "GET /t.php HTTP/1.1" 200 9
the error_log say nothing.
But what me totally confuse me is that a simple
<?php phpinfo();?>
Works as it have to work.
I give some days to find the problem with no result :-/ .
Any help a realy welcome.
Thanks a lot
Wolfgang.
Ok problem changed.... (argh)
It was a frustration that let me use my wifes laptop (with win 7)
All php pages a correct under windows so it must be something special with my archlinunx laptop system.
So admin can close this thread.
SOLVED BECOUSE IT IS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM

  • [SOLVED] Php.ini syntax error, unexpected '&'

    Hi guys,
I'm having a trouble setting up a local hosted LAMP, I want to enable the error reporting and display, but it's giving me this error:
    [root@albert albert]# php
PHP: syntax error, unexpected '&' in /etc/php/php.ini on line 105
    Line 105:
    ; error_reporting
    Default Value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT & ~E_DEPRECATED ; this is the 105
    Development Value: E_ALL
    Production Value: E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_STRICT
And when I access to on localhost/phpmyadmin:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function PMA_DBI_num_rows() in /usr/share/webapps/phpMyAdmin/libraries/navigation/Nodes/Node.class.php on line 408
When I comment the line 105,106,107, it works as I expected, but I can't see any error output...
    Here it's the entire php.ini:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
; PHP's initialization file, generally called php.ini, is responsible for
; configuring many of the aspects of PHP's behavior.
; PHP attempts to find and load this configuration from a number of locations.
; The following is a summary of its search order:
; 1. SAPI module specific location.
; 2. The PHPRC environment variable. (As of PHP 5.2.0)
; 3. A number of predefined registry keys on Windows (As of PHP 5.2.0)
; 4. Current working directory (except CLI)
; 5. The web server's directory (for SAPI modules), or directory of PHP
    ; (otherwise in Windows)
; 6. The directory from the --with-config-file-path compile time option, or the
    ; Windows directory (C:\windows or C:\winnt)
; See the PHP docs for more specific information.
; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and lines
; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
; they might mean something in the future.
; Directives following the section heading [PATH=/www/mysite] only
; apply to PHP files in the /www/mysite directory. Directives
; following the section heading [HOST=www.example.com] only apply to
; PHP files served from www.example.com. Directives set in these
; special sections cannot be overridden by user-defined INI files or
; at runtime. Currently, [PATH=] and [HOST=] sections only work under
    ; CGI/FastCGI.
; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
; Directives are variables used to configure PHP or PHP extensions.
; There is no name validation. If PHP can't find an expected
; directive because it is not set or is mistyped, a default value will be used.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), a quoted string ("bar"), or a reference to a
; previously set variable or directive (e.g. ${foo})
; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; ^ bitwise XOR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
; sign, or by using the None keyword:
; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = None ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = "None" ; sets foo to the string 'None'
; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
; PHP comes packaged with two INI files. One that is recommended to be used
; in production environments and one that is recommended to be used in
    ; development environments.
; php.ini-production contains settings which hold security, performance and
; best practices at its core. But please be aware, these settings may break
; compatibility with older or less security conscience applications. We
; recommending using the production ini in production and testing environments.
; php.ini-development is very similar to its production variant, except it's
; much more verbose when it comes to errors. We recommending using the
; development version only in development environments as errors shown to
; application users can inadvertently leak otherwise secure information.
    ; Quick Reference ;
; The following are all the settings which are different in either the production
; or development versions of the INIs with respect to PHP's default behavior.
; Please see the actual settings later in the document for more details as to why
; we recommend these changes in PHP's behavior.

; Output buffering is a mechanism for controlling how much output data
; (excluding headers and cookies) PHP should keep internally before pushing that
; data to the client. If your application's output exceeds this setting, PHP
; will send that data in chunks of roughly the size you specify.
; Turning on this setting and managing its maximum buffer size can yield some
; interesting side-effects depending on your application and web server.
; You may be able to send headers and cookies after you've already sent output
; through print or echo. You also may see performance benefits if your server is
; emitting less packets due to buffered output versus PHP streaming the output

; some common settings and their meanings.
; By default, PHP is set to take action on all errors, notices and warnings EXCEPT
; those related to E_NOTICE and E_STRICT, which together cover best practices and
; recommended coding standards in PHP. For performance reasons, this is the
; recommend error reporting setting. Your production server shouldn't be wasting
; resources complaining about best practices and coding standards. That's what
; development servers and development settings are for.
; Note: The php.ini-development file has this setting as E_ALL. This
; means it pretty much reports everything which is exactly what you want during
    ; development and early testing.
    ; Error Level Constants:
; E_ALL - All errors and warnings (includes E_STRICT as of PHP 5.4.0)
    ; E_ERROR - fatal run-time errors
    ; E_RECOVERABLE_ERROR - almost fatal run-time errors
    ; E_WARNING - run-time warnings (non-fatal errors)
    ; E_PARSE - compile-time parse errors
; E_NOTICE - run-time notices (these are warnings which often result
; from a bug in your code, but it's possible that it was
; intentional (e.g., using an uninitialized variable and
; relying on the fact it's automatically initialized to an
    ; empty string)
; E_STRICT - run-time notices, enable to have PHP suggest changes
; to your code which will ensure the best interoperability
; and forward compatibility of your code
; E_CORE_ERROR - fatal errors that occur during PHP's initial startup
    ; E_CORE_WARNING - warnings (non-fatal errors) that occur during PHP's
    ; initial startup
    ; E_COMPILE_ERROR - fatal compile-time errors
    ; E_COMPILE_WARNING - compile-time warnings (non-fatal errors)
    ; E_USER_ERROR - user-generated error message
    ; E_USER_WARNING - user-generated warning message
    ; E_USER_NOTICE - user-generated notice message
; E_DEPRECATED - warn about code that will not work in future versions
    ; of PHP
    ; E_USER_DEPRECATED - user-generated deprecation warnings
    ; Common Values:
; E_ALL (Show all errors, warnings and notices including coding standards.)
; E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE (Show all errors, except for notices)
; E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT (Show all errors, except for notices and coding standards warnings.)

; This directive controls whether or not and where PHP will output errors,
; notices and warnings too. Error output is very useful during development, but
; it could be very dangerous in production environments. Depending on the code
; which is triggering the error, sensitive information could potentially leak
; out of your application such as database usernames and passwords or worse.
; It's recommended that errors be logged on production servers rather than

  • Problem in producing some xml strings

    Dear all,
I got a problem in producing some xml string. I use the DocumentBuilderFactory and DocumentBuilder to build a xml document. Instead of saving to a file, I need to make it into a string then return it to the caller. I have tried to use the Transformer but the string returned contains the <?xml version=..../> line which I don't want it. What can I do?

What you want to do is associate a stylesheet with the transformer instance you are using to place the DOM into string. The stylesheet with the appropriate instructions are get rid of the <?xml version=..>. You want to produce a stylesheet which has:
    <xsl:output omit-xml-declaration="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:copy-of select="node()"/>
    </xsl:template>
<xsl:output> controls the serialisation of the xml document to the output source which in this case is a string. The <xsl:template> is required. It will copy the entire xml document to the output source. Without it the default templates are used, and the xml markup will not be included in the output source.
    Hope this helps.

PDF,RTF DESFORMAT is right, but users need spreadsheet desformat too.
the characterset is unicode, and end signal of junk character is ?/SPAN>.
When I get excel output include junk character, the same time get the junk character's record, and then get excel output only include the junk character's record, the excel output will be showed correctly,no junk characters.
    How to sovle the problem?
    thanks.

  • Some confusion about 3D TV's and Syncing Glasses

There has been some confusion about our ad from last week and the offer to sync the 3D glasses with your TV.
We by no means intend to confuse our customers or offer fraudulent services.  The offer is new to our stores, and our own employees have been in training just this week.  Let me clarify the services included with the Samsung 3D TV offer that appears in this weekend’s insert. Geek Squad will:
Set up and connect your TV + up to 5 components.
Add internet connectable components to your existing wireless network.
Make sure your 3D glasses work.
Review and teach you how to use all of your new gear.
We have some customers who aren’t quite sure how the 3D glasses work, or that the glasses automatically sync with their new 3D TVs.  So this informs them that they can depend on Geek Squad to answer their questions during installation and set-up. There is no additional charge for this – and the Geek Squad 3D installation and networking services are included in the total price of this offer.

Can you give details of how you get to £45 per month?
Phone rental and BB Opt 2 ought not to be more that £32
You can opt for line rental saver NOW and that will seriously reduce your bill.
You can also recontract your BB at anytime and unless you recontracted last May or only got BB last May then you are out BB contract and and can cancel or move or negotiate a deal.
If you are really hard up you could cancel Sky as one senior to another.

  • Why one user can not see plan output for some orgs while other users can?

We have several inventory/planning orgs. Suddenly one of the users is not seeing any plan output for some organizations. While other users are able to see plan out (planner workbench) for all org.
All users use the same responsibility.
Deleted all the folders to eliminate hidden query in default folder.
    Any other thoughts?
    Edited by: 918894 on May 5, 2013 10:22 PM

    The issue is resolved.
In the user preferences, one user has Inventory Category Set and other user has Planning Category Set as the default. Items belonging to one Org were not assigned Planning Category Set. Thus they were not showing for the other user.
    Thanks for the response.

  • Not able to produce some Czech characters in pdf using java.

    Hi All,
I am not able to produce some Czech characters like ě and č in pdf using java. Can you please guide me what could be the cause. The characters are coded in properties file and its just neglecting č and ě and taking other character next to it.
we have used below code to display the characters but its also not working..first we thought its font issue since Helvetica dont come by default in windows but after putting helvetica font also we are not able to produce the characters.
    BaseFont baseFont = BaseFont.createFont(BaseFont.HELVETICA, BaseFont.CP1250, false);
                   Font fontStyle = new Font(baseFont, 12, Font.NORMAL, Color.BLACK);

Note also that Java 6 allows you to produce properties files in encodings other than ISO-8859-1, provided you load them via a reader with a matching encoding. (Also see that link posted by baftos.) This might be more practical then the Unicode encoding which was required in earlier versions of Java.

  • HT201365 I recently upgraded my Ipadto 'iOS7', I carried out all the instructions, added a 4 digit code and after some confusion understood all the upgrades.

I recently upgraded my Ipad to 'iOS 7' , after following the instructions and some confusion I added a 4 digit 'code' as requested. After getting used to all the new icons etc.the Ipad worked O.K.
Later in the day when I switched it back on I was asked to enter my 'code' - which I thought I had done, but by mistake I entered my 'password'. after tapping 'done' the message ' iPAD Disabled' appeared.
Please can anyone assist me? I am a OAP with limited computer experience.

  • Some Confusion

I just started to work with Oracle, but I have some confusion about some things:
    What is Oracle Database for?
    What is Oracle Client for?
    What is ODAC for?
I installed Oracle Database first, after that, I installed Oracle Client, till I installed Oracle client, Oracle database works Ok, but I installed Oracle Client and I couldn't get access to Oracle Database. Also I installed ODAC and the installation created other Oracle Instance...I'm really confusing with...
    I appreciate some help
    Regards

    hi, welcome to forum !
Oracle database is used to store data of users in the form of tables which will be maintained using some physical and logical structures
Oracle client is a software which is used to access Oracle database, if it resides in remote machine
it is not necessary to install client if you want to gain knowledge on database
ODAC ic access components contains oracle client drivers helps applications to connect

  • Some confusion in MDM

    Hi,
I am new to MDM. I have some confusion with MDM:
    1. After "Loading Master data" process data from MDC will be copy (except replicate) to MDS (Staging) or it just some logical links that will be stored in MDS towards MDC.
    2. Before "Consolidating Master Data" process do we need to define some database schema over MDS or it is an automated process.
    3. Apart from consolidation and harmonization within heterogeneous system landscape is there any other benefit associated with MDM 3.0?
    4. Does MDM 3.0 shipment comes with MDC adaptor to connect with SAP (ERP and CRM) system and Non-SAP system (like people soft). To my understanding it does have adaptors for SAP but not for non-SAP system.
    5. Help.sap.com say during initial load from trusted clients (ILTC) process ID mapping information can be loaded directly from the MDC and transferred to the CI. But how can we store ID mapping directly in MDC?
    6. Do we need to have all these component in order to use MDM:
       a. Master Data Engine 3.0
       b. Content Integrator 3.0
       c. BI (BW 3.5)
       d. EP 6.0
       e. XI 3.0
       f.SAP Solution Manger 3.1
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hello Raj,
    answers foryour questions :
    1. After "Loading Master data" process data from MDC will be copy (except replicate) to MDS (Staging) or it just some logical links that will be stored in MDS towards MDC.
A: The data will be copied, there are no logical links. After the extraction the data exist on the Client-system and in the staging area.
    2. Before "Consolidating Master Data" process do we need to define some database schema over MDS or it is an automated process.
A: We have to consider different cases:
Case 1) Extraction of Standard object types like Business Partner: It's not necessary to define some Database schemas, for the MDM standard object types, they already exist.
Case 2) Extraction of Standard object types, but enhanced by additional fields, e.g BP has some extensions: These extensions need to be defined also on the MDM server, and a regeneration of the Staging are might be necessary. There are tools available to do this.
Case 3) If you would like to extract your own defined Object types, the object type needs to be defined on the MDM Server (with the Master Data Framework).
    3. Apart from consolidation and harmonization within heterogeneous system landscape is there any other benefit associated with MDM 3.0?
A: To mention just a few: You keep your data in sync also in the future, Global Spend analysis can be done across systems, one stop Data Maintenance.
    4. Does MDM 3.0 shipment comes with MDC adaptor to connect with SAP (ERP and CRM) system and Non-SAP system (like people soft). To my understanding it does have adaptors for SAP but not for non-SAP system.
A: For the available adapters please look in the  MDM Master Guide. Adapters for third party systems are/can be provided by our partner community.
    5. Help.sap.com say during initial load from trusted clients (ILTC) process ID mapping information can be loaded directly from the MDC and transferred to the CI. But how can we store ID mapping directly in MDC?
A: The ID mapping is not stored in the MDC, it's stored in the CI. The data is only extracted from the MDC's. Regarding key-mapping from an MDC perspective, there are no changes compared to the normal load.
    6. Do we need to have all these component in order to use MDM:
    a. Master Data Engine 3.0
    b. Content Integrator 3.0
    c. BI (BW 3.5)
    d. EP 6.0
    e. XI 3.0
    f. SAP Solution Manger 3.1
You're right, with the exception of the SAP Solution Manager. Solution Manager is higly recommended in an MDM installation, but you can run MDM also without. Without e.g. customizing ID mapping would need to be done manually, which can be a major effort.
    Regards Klaus

You were right, there was a problem with the filesystem (there was no badblock, I checked, so I guess (hope) it was only logical).
Got a bunch of errors about flag that should not be set (extend, compress) and size that should not be good, and also errors on the files I mentioned above.
I reinstalled the corresponding package and I did not got the errors I was getting before.
So I guess (hope again :) that all is alright now.
    Thank you !

    Anyone?

  • How to Display PHP Output as Portlet in HTML Region using utl_http.request

I wanted to be able to parse PHP functions to add more functionality to my Page. nothing fantasy, something simple like: http://phpsysinfo.sourceforge.net/phpsysinfo-dev/?template=classic
Where the realtime values are retrieved from the OS. this represent some kind of problem to me, I know how to do it from Shell Script, Perl or PHP, but not from PL/SQL.
Based on my experience using Oracle Portal, Portlets, I think we really can make use of the feature used in Portal called Web Clipping. [ This feature basically goes to some Site a retrieve part of the site to show in the current page]. Well the PL/SQL utility utl_http.request does something similar.
Make sure your request page does not retrieve some headers because that would cause a problem in your page and will not show up.
    This is what I did:
    <b> 1.- </b> Grant Privileges to execute [ <b> utl_http.request </b> ] to the owner of your schema.
login into the OracleXE / APEX as SYS then go to the Object Navigator, then click on packages, find the utl_http.request then click on it, later click on grant and select your schema owner for your applicaion.
<b> 2.- </b> Logout as SYS then login as your application schema user. just to test the functionality go to the sql command then enter the following command and then click run:
    <b> select substr(utl_http.request('http://www.oracle.com/'),1, 255) from dual; </b>
    If your output is:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Oracle 10g, Siebel, PeopleSoft | Oracle, The World's Largest Enterprise Software Company</title> <meta name="title" content="Enterprise Applications | Database | Fusio
<font color='blue'> Wow It worked </font>, this really could be useful !!, If not go back to step 1 and check your permissions to execute, or perhaps your Internet connectivity.
3.- Once we know the package works and we can retrieve content from the Internet. lets go to some of our pages add some HTML Region.
4.- Create an item and put into the new region. the source will be SQL, For the purposes of my test the query to the Oracle Page failed, so I decided to give a shot with a simple PHP script with no headers.
    The internal server is: http://mytest.com/hello_world.php
Where the content of the hello_world.php is:
    <?
    echo '"<b> Hello World </b> ";
    ?>
This PHP works fine and display the basic Hello World. can be the same server or not, also noticed this can be another port perhaps using something like Ruby,Mason or Java.
<b> 5.- </b> Finally in my Item the source type is SQL and looks like this:
    <b> select substr(utl_http.request('http://mytest.com/hello_world.php'),1, 255) from dual; </b>
Apply the changes and run the page !!!
Excelent It worked as expected. now you know how use utl_http.request to create webclipping in your OracleXE / APEX from remote pages, or how to use it to parse the output from CGI, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Java pages.
Note: [ Just make sure to strip the headers or parse into a PL/SQL Procedure to clean then show ]
    Best Regards <b> Dino </b>.

Sorry, from your post in the LabVIEW board I did not understand that it was the Output message that you were looking for.
I thought you wanted the results from your test steps displayed on the user interface.
It is the “Output Panel” in the sequence editor that displays your output message, but I do not know if there is default Output panel activeX indicator for user interface that the TestStand engine would update automatically like it does the execution view.
    Maybe someone else knows
As also pointed out, the UI messages is your other option.
The Output Message event number is 40
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3879
UIMsg_OutputMessages–(Value: 40) TestStand sends this message at periodic intervals when it holds references to output messages that calls to the OutputMessage.Post method queue. TestStand transfers the queued messages to an OutputMessages collection attached to the UIMessage.ActiveXData property for this event. An application that processes output messages should copy the output message references from the collection in UIMessage.ActiveXData to its own private OutputMessages collection by passing its private collection to the OutputMessages.CopyMessagesToCollection method. An application calls the Engine.NewOutputMessages method to create a private OutputMessage collection. TestStand generates this event only if the Engine.OutputMessagesEnabled property is True. Because there can be more than one handler for this event, the application should not modify the OutputMessages collection the UIMessage.ActiveXData property holds.
