[SOLVED] Problem about Buttons!

Guys can you help me about this?. I dont know how to fix it. Thanks!
Buttons are litte. and Texts in the boxes are not visible. I am using kde 4.6

The problem:since there are 4 lines of ps output here,why wc -l shows the number "5"?
And if i redirect ps to a file and then check the lines number with "wc -l",it's "4".
$ps > out
$cat out

2674 tty3 00:00:00 bash
2689 tty3 00:00:00 mocp
2753 tty3 00:00:00 ps
$cat out | wc -l
4

A problem about button

   i use MVC to develop a BSP page ,in my layout there are two part,
    one is the inputfields and a button ,
    the other is the tableview to display the search result.
    and if the user began to click the button,firstly i use the javascript to check their input data,such as the user id may only the numeric character ,the code of the button like this

i don't know how to solve the problem,may be i should use the <b>htmlbevent.cancel</b>?can someone help me to solve the problem?

You can use an ABAP variable and set its value when you retrieve some value in your table.Before the javascript is executed,you can check the value and then the javascript can be executed or not.
For eg:you could check the value of a Flag set when table has some values,or maybe you can check the table if it has some values and then execute the javascript

[SOLVED]problems about sdcv looking up words

hi.
I get sdcv (sdcv 0.4.2-5)installed and also a dictionary with it.
But when i look up word,it doesn't work complaining that "nothing similar to '$word'",sorry ".
$ sdcv sex
Nothing simillar to sex,sorry :(
$sdcv -l
bookname wordcount
somedic 4352468
And i've tried the stardict with the X environment.it works.

Because it was not possible to apply a gradient to a stroke in CS5. When you open the file in CS5, it is reduced to something that can be rendered in CS5.

That's called a kernel panic...
Since the install disc won't eject, try starting up while holding down the C key. If the Mac won't boot while holding down the C key, try ejecting disc by either holding down the mouse while starting up or holding down the Eject key while starting up.
Try booting from your install disc so you can run Disk Utility in case the startup disk needs repairing.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
(In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first from the installer menu)
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your startup disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. Make sure there is always 15% free space.

Strange solution to problem of buttons dissappearing in Encore 2.0

I've pulled my hair over a problem with buttons dissappearing at preview. They are nice looking in the menu window, I can route them and so on, but when previewing they simply dissappear, or sometimes become partly visible, or sometimes become displaced.
Now, I found that one solution to this is to place a new button in the menu, possibly onto the same place as another button already there. Then a immediately remove the newly placed button. After that problem seems solved, at least until I move or handle my buttons again. Might someone explain how this is possible? What in Encores internal workings can explain this? Deleting the cache folder didn't solve it. mind you.

You are correct. Just use Edit in Photoshop, and the program will launch, and then Open your Menu.
Once in PS, you will want to make sure that the Layers Palette is Open and visible. You will see several Layer Sets. Most will be your Buttons. When you click on the little triangle, at the left-side of the Button Layer Set, it will "twirl-down" all of the included Layers. Note that the Button Layer Sets, and each enclosed Layer will have some odd names. The first several characters in those names are VERY important. These MUST be correct, for the PSD file to function as a Menu.
Also, don't worry about any mis-steps. That comes from not knowing the program yet.
Take note that just because I have not encountered a problem with EncoreDVD 2.0, does not mean that it does not exist. I have done many, many Projects, and burned many successful discs, but then I do things the same exact way for each Project. Pretty boring, I will admit, but if it works, then I have few reasons to change anything.
Now, I do get to exercise my artistic side with the Menus and the navigation, but the rest of it is rather "by the numbers."
One note on Edit in Photoshop: this operation will create a TMP file of your Menu. It is THAT file, that is Opened. Look at the name. It'll be rather cryptic. When you make a change, in PS, and hit Save (Ctrl+S), those changes are transferred back to Encore. Do not do a Save_As, unless you have a good reason to do so, or Encore will still have the old Menu, and it will not update.
Also, there are instances, where a simple Save does NOT update Encore. Through trial and error, I have found that if one does three (3) Saves, this gets past whatever that glitch is. Normally, I just use Ctrl+S, at least 3x, during the editing process, whether I have any indication that the Save is not working, as it should. It has now become habit for ALL Menus in my workflow, though the problem seems to only happen about 1:8 Menus.

PS - If you have any questions on your Menu and your Button Layer Sets, do not hesitate to do a screen-cap, and attach that. Hint: use the little "camera" icon in the lower-middle of the editing screens Toolbar. We'll all take a good look at it. I'd Save that as a JPEG @ ~ a compression of 9 on the PS scale, so we can read the "fine print."

A problem about calling Labview vi in VB

Hi all:
I meeting a problem about data transfer and parallel operation between VB and Labview.
Actually, I want develop a VB program, in which, the Labview VI can be called and corresponding parameters can be transferred to Labview. and then, I also can operate my system by VB program at same time. something like parallel operation (VB and Labview program).
But the question is :
1. If I use "Call" method of ActiveX in VB, and the LabVIEW subvi is not stopped (for example, a loop structure), I can not do parallel operation on VB program. The error message is "other application is busy" which is attached below. The sample codes is also attached.
2. I tried to use other methods like "OpenFrontPanel" and "Run", but I am not sure how to transfer the parameter??
3. Then I tried to use "SetControlValue" to set the parameters, but there is a error " := expected", which is very strange, because the statement I wrote is followed with the help documents [ eg: VI.SetControlValue ("string", value)], why it is still need a "=" ??
Does anybody know something about it? Thanks a lot

My "About" button is not working HELP

Hello fellow BB owners ive been tweaking and updating my new 8330 and it seems that now my about button does not respond.All the other menus and places work fine but when i click on the about button it just does not respond.

Jason, have you recently upgraded your device to OS 4.5, and in that process did you remove the Voice Activated Dialing features? If you did, that also disables the Options > About screen, and was likely explained in the upgrade process you used.
Workaround: on the homescreen, press and hold ALT while typing E A C E

Press ALT + rightSHIFT + H at the same time.

Problem About Date Format in Dashboard

I still have problem about date format in dashboard and dashboard prompt. When I use cast(dealdate as date) in dashboard prompt(coloumn formula of deal_date) and filter view(In edit view of filter coloumn formula) Then It converts the date format from mm/dd/yyyy to yyyy-mm-dd But I want format in dd-mm-yyyy.
ANd also one problem more that is when I use cast function in filter coloumn formula then how I give alias to it. Because it shows same like that cast(deal_date as date) on dashboard filter view.
Pluzz help me to solve this problem

Changing the ini files should change the date format. Have you amended the correct instances of the date format? In dbFeatures there is one for every ODBC connection.
For example in my DBFeatures.INI

     TIME_FORMAT = 'hh:mi:ss' ;
     DATE_TIME_FORMAT = 'dd-mm-yyyy hh:mi:ss' ;
     IDENTIFIER_QUOTE_CHAR = '"';Also a file on the presentation side in OracleBI \web\Config called localedefinitions.xml.
Inside that there appears to be defaults for localisations - maybe it is possible to amend your locale in the Administration settings of the dashboard.
However, I haven't tried this sorry.

I trird to set up sun j2ee RI 1.3.1 + pet store on win2000 or redhat.
Everything run ok. But when I changed web port 8000 to any port (included
80),
j2ee ri server showed the error message below :

java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.servlet.ServletException:
An error occurred while evaluating custom action attribute "items" with
value "${catalog.categories.list}": An error occurred while getting

com.sun.j2ee.blueprints.catalog.client.CatalogHelper
I used root to start j2ee & cloudscape on linux,
and changed database to postgresql, too.
but the error is the same.
How to solve this problem ??

I dont know how useful my reply would be since the question was posted about 2 yrs back, but just wanted to reply in case somebody faces the same problem.
If you change the web port to some other port (other than 8000) then please check the sun-j2ee-ri.xml files. Actually the CatalogDAOSQL.xml is read using a url which includes the port you are running the server on. So, you need to change the port even in the sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
One of the sun-j2ee-ri.xml files, where you need to make the change is in the $PETSTORE_HOME/src/apps/petstore/src/sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
Other one is in $PETSTORE_HOME/src/apps/supplier/src/sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
Look for other sun-j2ee-ri.xml files where the url is hardcoded. (I think the two sun-j2ee-ri.xml files mentioned above, are the only places you need to make the change, but still look for other files in case i have missed)
Change those urls and redeploy the ears.
Hope this solves the problem.

I have encountered a problem about using Oracle Form 6i to connect Oracle Database 10g express.

According to "tnsnames.ora", the paramater of connection is as follows;

Unfortunately, when I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to test the connection, an error message is prompted as follows:
Connecting....
The test did not succeed.
ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
There may be an error in the fields entered
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
You can check the server and retry, or continue.
After I google it, I still have no idea how to solve the problem. I would like to ask, could anyone mind providing some hints or solution to address the issues.

I don't believe the Net8 Easy Config (NEC) will create a compatible entry in the tnsnames.ora. I have Forms 6i running successfully against a 10g Express database, but I did not use the NEC - I created the entry myself. Here is the entry I use:

      (PROTOCOL=TCP)
      (HOST=<<servername or IP address>>)
      (PORT=1521)
    (CONNECT_DATA=
      (SERVER=dedicated)

A problem about gcc

I installed Solaris8 x86 on my PC successfully, including software companion CD, which was installed under /opt.
Following was added in .profile :
PATH=/opt/sfw/bin:$PATH
Then I created two programs in a subdirectory:
C code, HelloWorld.c, compiled using gcc, run ./a.out, everything OK;
C++ code, HelloWorld.cc, compiled using g++, ./a.out was generated, it seemed ok. But when I tried to run ./a.out, got following error message:
$ ./a.out
ld.so.1: ./a.out: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed
The same C++ HelloWorld compiled and run good on another Sparc/Solaris7.
Anybody can tell me what the problem is and how to solve it?

On a Solaris system if you install the developer or greater cluster then gcc should be installed into:

After I create profile or .cshrc file,which command I can run to make profile or .cshrc file go function? Need I reboot the solaris system?By default root doesn't have one so just create using vi.
