  • Scrapping Meter(SAP-ISU) post Removal/Replacement

    Kindly refer to the SAP-ISU implementation scenario below:
    A meter(serial number) is issued from stock against a work order(Mov type 261) ,which get physically installed at a site.The issue is done through the transaction MIGO.
    Now after a meter removal/replacement the old meter needs to go back into a "scrap" storage location,as these will be never re-used again.
    Would appreciate,if you can put forth your ideas on how to do this,in terms of movement type to be used,whether it can be done from the same transaction(viz Transaction for removal/replacement).
    Thanks in advance

    Just to understand your suggestion better,you are asking me to do a Goods Receipt of the serialised material, and then transfer post it into a designated scrap storage location,please confirm.
    If I do a GR using MIGO, what do I do the GR against ? Also how do I enter the required serial number/material combination.
    Thanks again.

  • Where to find instructions to remove/replace motherboard iMac G5?

    Bad caps on mobo. I may be able to find another one, but first need step by step instructions to remove/ replace the mobo on 17", first or early generation. I've been looking around, but can't seem to find this. Can anyone, please, direct me to a site or page for this. Also, probably need to replace the power supply. Does anyone know where I might find one new, or at least competently refurbished, from a reputable dealer. Thanks.

    In our experience—despite the propensity of Apple to once replace both the power supply and logic board on the first generation of iMac G5 models affected by either issue, it is seldom the case that both are bad. In the ALS models, which are far less frequently affected by the defective capacitor issue, is is more often the case that both components must be refurbished or replaced.
    This company will refurbish your board and, if necessary, sell you a replacement power supply. The cost of refurbishing the board is $ 189.00 - the cost of replacing the power supply is $ 139.00, though in the relatively uncommon case that both are required, a discount is typically offered on the cost of the replacement power supply. They recommend that you not remove the logic board yourself, as they are easily damaged in the process because they are easily flexed.
    You can certainly take the approach recommended of attempting the repair yourself, but these services are offered with a one year warranty and no additional charges other than the cost of shipping your machine back once completed. There is no charge for diagnosis, and no charge if the machine is not repairable, or not in need of repair.

  • White Macbook 2006 random shutdown solved removed cpu heatsink and more

    I picked up a cheap macbook from a secondhand retailer for $300 and it regularly shutdown, froze, restarted as well as the grey kernel panic screen completely random no real pattern. I set about trying to solve the problem swapping ram and hard drive with my identical 2006 macbook (which I had similar problems with last year, fixed that one with a new battery connector cable). The ram and hard drive made no difference so I downloaded istat menus to see if any combination of cpu voltage, current and temperature were causing the random shutdowns. It seemed when the temperature reached certain values the computer would shutdown or freeze(around 30 to 50 degrees). I'd read on other forums about faulty cpu temperature diodes so I reapplied heatsink compound to the cpu heatsink and checked all the wiring for shorts but nothing seemed to solve the problem. I was ready to retire the computer and use it for spares for my other macbook when needed but I pulled the keyboard off one more time and tried something completely radical. This fix requires some forward planning and software installation but it has completely solved my Random shutdowns completely.
    for instructions see my next post *Fix for random shutdowns white macbook*

    Ok this is not for the non technical person but it is quite a simple process with the right instructions.
    This first step is very important install the software coolbook($10) and fan control (Free)( not smc fan control). Set up coolbook to operate the cpu at the lowest speed and voltage for both power adapter and battery(1002MHz and .95Volts). Remove the keyboard to access the computer logic board (instructions can be found at iFixit). Remove the four screws and two connectors holding the heatsink to the logicboard and gently lift the heatsink out (very important that you leave the fan screwed in and connected). Close the computer back up if you wish to test just gently connect the keyboard and loosly sit the keyboard back in. Restart and reset the pram immediately. Let the computer boot up and then open system preferences and configure Fan Control to your liking. So far no random shutdowns for over a week (was getting many a day previously.

  • Removing/replacing objects in a photo

    I have a stock photo of an item I want to sell but the picture shows some accessories I don't have so how do I remove these items and replace the space with the background. There are no layrers in the photo

    Various ways, depending on the uniformity of the background. You can try cloning (with a soft brush) over the item with adjacent background. You might want to do this on a new blank layer so as to preserve the original photo if the cloning doesn't work well.
    Another way is to select a portion of the background that would cover the item, feather the selection a few pixels, and copy/paste the selection to a new layer. Then use the Move tool to position this on top of the item. The reason for feathering is to soften the outline of the selected area so that the outline is not visible on the pasted layer. If the outline still shows you can then clone over it with adjacent area.
    If the background is a solid color you can simply use the color Picker to select that color, then paint over the item. Again, this can be done on a new layer.
    If none of these methods work, you might want to post another reply with your photo so we can offer suggestions. To upload the photo click the camera icon.

  • [SOLVED] Remove / Uninstall 'supersonic' AUR package

    Hi guys, I am setting up a home server which will have OwnCloud and some music streaming with Subsonic.
    I read that Supersonic was a fork of Subsonic and was available on AUR so I installed that - though I cannot seem to get it to work, it starts OK but I cannot browse to MYHOMEURL:4040.
    Anyways, I am now gonna install the actual subsonic from AUR but I cannot seem to uninstall supersonic using pacman.
    Pacman -Rsnc supersonic
    ...returns 'error: target not found: supersonic'
    This is my first time using Arch and of course AUR so I cannot see how to remove this package.

  • Add/Remove/Replace KeyboardFocusManager

    Hi,
    There are many buttons in a Applet and on clicking on each button an instance of another applet is opened. This Applet uses AWT and I am handling events for all the keys and I am using KeyboardFocusManager. When multiple instances of the applet is opened and when TAB key is pressed, the action goes to the first instance of the applet opened. So I am adding KeyboardFocusManager on FocusGained and removing it on FocusLost. But I am getting a SecurityException, when I am adding and removing KeyboardFocusManager:

    int step = 1;
    public boolean dispatchKeyEvent(KeyEvent e) {
    if (e.getKeyCode() == KeyEvent.VK_TAB) {
    step = (++step) % 2;
    if (step == 0) {
    write(e.getKeyChar());
    e.consume();
    return true;
    return false;
    public void FocusLost(FocusEvent e){
    KeyboardFocusManager.getCurrentKeyboardFocusManager().setCurrentKeyboardFocusManager(null);
    Any thoughts how to replace the KeyboardFocusManager ?
    Thanks

    Could you just set the focus instead of messing with the focus manager?

  • Removing & Replacing Background in JPEG.

    I am a newbie & relatively clueless on using Photoshop Elements 8 with Windows 7.  I don't understand the technical terms and am a hands-on learner.  I need to remove the backgrounds on some photos and replace it with a neutral background that isn't flat.  I want the main image to appear on a single color fabric type background to give the image depth.  I have tried the eraser tool but it will not work at all.  I want a click & remove way if possible.

    I used the Quick selection tool in PSEv.8 to select the cake and the pedestal, but the other selection tools may be used as well. You should see "marching ants" around the selection
    Next I went to Layer>new>layer via copy. This places the selection on its own layer
    I opened a new, blank layer underneath the layer created in step #2
    I filled this layer with a pattern (Edit>fill layer>pattern -----used wood pattern, several to select from among those in the default library)
    Hope that this is what you are after. One can make or copy other backgrounds, of course. The cake looks great, would love to have a piece!!

  • [SOLVED] Removing brackets from file - python/sed

    I wrote a small python-script in order to do some manipulation of columns. I'm quite unexperienced, and i stumbled upon a problem i didn't manage to solve:
    When the script is finished with the data manipulation, everything is stored as data type "list", which implies the following form when i output the data with print: ['2321321', '321321321', '55555']. I don't want the brackets and ' (since i want to import the data into a spreadsheet). I've tried to make a loop to print out list content, but then i get everything in one column, which i don't want. (Something like: for l in line: print l )
    Is there a way to print lists without the brackets and '? I tried to solve it with sed, but my knowledge of that program is zero, and no success. My solution was to open the output in a text editor and use search and replace, which is very tedious work for 50 files.

    I think the quicker way is using the join() method:
    [andyr@roo ~]$ python
    Python 2.4.1 (#1, Apr 5 2005, 11:00:51)
    [GCC 3.4.3] on linux2
    Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
    >>> items = ["one", "two", "three"]
    >>> allitems = " ".join(items)
    >>> print allitems
    one two three
    Of course, you could have "," or "t" (tabs), etc to delimit the columns rather than the space in the above example.

  • [solved]Removing applet from kdemod [my bad]

    Well I had a clean install of KDE mod, tried to install xfce, then E, rebooted broke X, tried to troubleshoot, gave up reinstalled, messed that up, next day, reinstalled again.....
    Went back to kde mod for now, but I have a question.
    While trying to add an application to the panel, I accidentally added an applet "System monitor". How in the heck do I remove it, as it isn't nearly as informative as conky, or anything else for that matter...
    Right clicking  and removing isn't there, when I right click on it.
    Thanks in advance, and btw I think I may have learned a thing or two during the last two re-installs, lol.

    It would have been nice if you wrote how you solved the problem: this way it will be a reference for future users with the same issue.
    futureguy "Cool, this guy had my same problem, let's see how he solved it!"
    you "Nevermind, I solved it!"
    futureguy "Damn!"
    Even if this was a trivial problem (as you probably forgot to unlock the panel), you can't really say.

  • [SOLVED] remove specific SMS (including deleted ones) from spotlight.

    A lot of people have had issues with removing SMS from spotlight search, especially deleted ones. This method should help.
    1. Download iFunbox to browse your phone's contents.
    2. After connecting device and running iFunbox, click on "Raw file system" in the left pane.
    3. Navigate to private/var/mobile/library/spotlight/com.apple.mobilesms
    4. Locate the file "smssearchindex.sqlite". Right click it and select "copy to pc" save it where you please.
    5. IMPORTANT! MAKE A COPY OF THIS FILE ELSEWHERE IN CASE YOU SCREW UP! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GO DELETING THE WRONG STUFF!!!
    6. Download SQLite administrator.
    7. Open the file you saved to your computer using SQLite admin (you may need to change the "files of type:" option to "any file" when opening in order to locate it).
    8. In the left pane click "ZSPRECORD" then click the Edit Data tab.
    9. There should be a drop down menu that says Filterfield. Click to bring up the options.
    10. From here you can choose how you want to filter the SMS. If you want to delete everything from a single person , select ZTITLE. If you want to delete individual messages, select ZSUMMARY.
    11. In the filter box just to the right of the the drop down menu, type in the name of the person, or the first part of the message to filter your messages.
    12. Clicking any of the cells in the spreadsheet of the filtered messages and clicking the minus button (-) right above the drop down menu will delete the message from your spotlight search.
    13. Protip: if you are deleting a ton of SMS from a single person, you can click a cell in the spreadsheet of filtered results then click the minus button like normal. Except, if you hold down the return key, you will rapidly delete everything in the filtered spreadsheet.
    14. After you've made your adjustments, close SQLite admin. Now just drag and drop your new file back into the same folder using iFunbox and you should be good to go!!
    If you found you've made a mistake just replace your new file with the backup file i told you to make earlier and you should be back to square one.

    One is the NS and the secon is the A record.

    G.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.      3600000      A     192.112.36.4
    In this case the dot represents the self reference to the A record.  These are the records that bootstrap all of the Internet.  Remove them and you ae lost.
    The CSV uses the @ to anchor the local domain.  Perhaps the DNS CmdLets prefer the dot.  The @ is what appears on the screen when we use the GUI. Note the dot at the end of the FQDN.  It is required.  Even browser use
    it but they add it if you forget.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Can you tell me how to change this one thing (that triangle in red circle)?
    That's the resize-grip. Tweaking depends on your theme engine. If it's pixmap you can gimp the .png file, else you'll need to find the right class to tweak, probably somewhere near the statusbar section. Search for "function = RESIZE_GRIP". You can disable by
    GtkStatusbar::has-resize-grip      = FALSE
    Post your gtkrc if you need more.

  • Remove/replace Gummiboot with GRUB?

    Are their any how-tos / wiki on the best way to remove and replace gummiboot with GRUB. This is the closest discussion I could find (the opposite of what I'd like to do):
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183210
    I have Window 7 installed using bios to boot. Cannot change Windows 7 to UEFI to match Arch as Win7 uefi isn't supported on this laptop. (already tried as well)
    http://na.alienwarearena.com/forums/thr … -boot-mode
    I need boot menu where Arch GPT UEFI and Win7 MBR BIOS can coexist.
    Thanks!
    Last edited by hydn (2014-10-14 21:22:48)

    Grub won't offer you to boot alternatively from UEFI and BIOS. Only the boot manager of your firmware can do that, if it supports it (my ASUS motherboard do) (to access it, I need to press F8 while the machine boot but this depends of your firmware) and you will have to choose the way you want to boot from your UEFI/BIOS. You will then need two bootloaders, one for BIOS, one for UEFI (you can use your Windows 7 bootloader to boot Windows). The reason of this is that is your firmware which decides to put your system in BIOS or UEFI mode and once it has decided in which system your computer should boot, a bootloader can't revert the decision. There are versions of grub for BIOS and for UEFI but there can't exist a single version allowing you to choose between the two systems.
    If your firmware allow easily to switch between the two, you could:
    1) Partition your hard disk with an MBR (required for BIOS booting Windows 7), mark the Windows partitions bootable and install a standard MBR to the boot sector of your hard disk.
    2) Have an EFI partition (type ef00) with a UEFI bootloader (which may be gummiboot or grub, but it will necessarily be UEFI aware only, unable to start Windows 7) configured to boot archlinux.
    This way a BIOS boot should boot windows 7 and an UEFI boot should boot archlinux. Now the feasibility of that depends of your motherboard (could you easily switch from UEFI/BIOS, does the firmware accepts to boot an UEFI system from an MBR partition?).
    You could also boot archlinux in BIOS mode. You will not loose anything, given the fact that Linux don't currently really use UEFI or Bios once it is booted and both system can then be seen by the same bootloader (for example grub).
    Note: to remove gummiboot, simply remove the package. Use efibootmgr (efibootmgr -b xxxx -B, where xxxx is the number shown by efibootmgr) to remove the boot entry. But read what I tell you before, no bootloader except the one of your firmware could allow you to choose between BIOS and UEFI booting.
