[SOLVED] Simple way to make files available for download on my site?

It is my intention to keep the previous version of the kernel available on my website. Every now & then it will be very helpful to someone, when they need it & can't get it anywhere.
Could someone please give me instructions on how you do this?
I have set up FileZilla, & can access my space, I have made the simplest of pages, & I have permission from my ISP, so long as I don't make money out of it, I don't have to pay for the bandwidth.

I have it up, it currently has two copies of the tiny app' backlight which gives screen brightness control to Mac users with LCD screens, the 2nd copy is just filling in for the kernel.
Could someone tell me how to handle the permissions on the files that I put up, & should I when available also make the source available?

Kind of like when you go to a website and sometimes it has a link you can press to download a file. If you click the file then the "save as" or "download" window opens depending on your browser.

There are two ways to link to files with iWeb. The approach that iWebFaq outlines results in iWeb making a copy of the file in question and storing it in the domain.sites file. Then, when it publishes your website, it puts a copy of the file in the right place in the folders it publishes. Visitors to your site then download that copy.
You are correct that you can put things in your public folder of your iDisk for download. But the process of linking to those files is different. When you set up the link in iWeb (using the inspector) you need to choose "external link" and provide the url of the file in question.
For more background on the differences between these approaches, and the advantages of each, see this thread. That thread also has some good links for sorting out what the url of the files in your public (and other) folders of your iDisk are.

Yes, you can make shared files available for download. You can also allow or disallow comments on the shared file. To set these options, do the following:
Open the file that you want to share on Creative Cloud.
Click Share Options on the right side of the window.
Select the share options that you want: Allow Comments, Allow Downloads, or both.

It shoud not took 3 hours. Normally, you expect wait for 1 -2 minutes.
For your case, I suggest to
(1)run the cleanWF.cmd script then shutdown the server
(2)restart the server
(3) run cleanWF again
(4) run the sample.

Is the 'helena beat' logic file available for download or purchase to existing logic pro customers?

I have logic pro however I did not purchase the app store version. The app store version features a demo by foster the people called 'helena beat'. I am very eager to see this demo however it was not included with the previous version of logic pro 9. Is there a download/purchase available for this demo and if not will there be plans in the future to release the demo to the pre-app store logic pro/studio users?? An in-app purchase for existing logic pro users would be fantastic!

It's not available as a seperate download or purchase, but you could always go to your closest Apple store and ask if you can copy it to a flash drive. From my experience, the app store version of Logic is usually installed on some of their machines. Just ask a rep if you can copy it. Worst they could say is no.

Hi JoeJoe as far as I know all notebooks which were shipped with the Win 7 and are part of the Win 8 Upgrade Assistant will get the Win 8 drivers via this Upgrade Assistant. All newer notebooks series which are already shipped with the Win 8 will be able to download the drivers manually
Furthermore other it seems that Win 8 drivers will be released in three different steps

There is no way for anyone but you to place the order. You can get a list, collect money and order passing out to purchasers at the reunion. For late orders you can have them shipped to you and reship or use a different shipping address for each order

Convert doc to PDF and make it available for workspace

Hi,
is there a way, how to convert a doc file to PDF file and make it available for the workspace (accept - deny scenario)?
Lets say, that I have a contract that has to be approved by my manager. I convert the doc to PDF file and send it to his to-do queue. He than decides if it is a good agreement or bad one.
I see couple of tricks in this. First, the converted file needs to have process fields included, so it has to be a form.
Converted file is a flat PDF. I tried to use DDX to merge flat PDF and form with process fields, however that throwed and error.
Workaround could be creating an envelope saying, hey, look in the attachments section, there is something you need to review.
I can create an attachment in the form with DDX code, however only in the DDX UI interface, for some reason, it wont work in the process in LC.
Also, I have difficulties with routes after user hits the accept, deny buttons in workspace, nothing happens :-(
Could you please give me some advices, what kind of variables I need, what types they should be and how the process should looklike? I want to invoke it over the WSDL so at least one document has to be passed over it. The envelope can be in the resources section in LC (makes sense, but I do not know how to address it in the DDX and afterwards)

I can add the converted document to PDF as a attachment to the XDP form in the workspace.
I am strugling now with that envelope (the XDP), cant render it to PDF and than workspace enable it. I will have a look around the web because it will be there. One question is can I control permitions on the attachment? I want just read only permitions.

Why do you need a expensive MacBook Pro?
Your attending high school and unless everyone else is rich also your likely going to be a target by the more poorer students for theft or damage to the machine.
You could keep it home, but if you need it for class then your exposed again.
Also at that age your not very careful yet, a MacBook Pro is a expensive and easily damaged machine.
Unless your made of money and so are others at your school, I would recommned a low profile, just does the job cheap Windows PC.
If it dies, gets lost, stolen or damaged because of your inexperince handling senstivie electronics then it's no big deal.
You can buy a Mac later on when your sure you have a need for it, currently there isn't much advantage of owning a Mac compared to a PC, they do just about the same things now, one just looks prettier than the other.
Since 95% of the world uses Windows PC's your going to have to install Windows on the Mac in order to keep your skills up there or be unemployed, so it's a extra headache and expense.

How to make Book WSDL available for download?

Hi,
I would like to download Book WSDL v2.0. The Web service API document says "To download the Book WSDL, you must be given access to the Book object". However, i did not find any option inside "role management>record types access" to make it available for access.
Can anyone explain how the BOOK WSDL can be enabled for download?
Note: I am not using Trial Account.

I have ensured that "Company Profile > Company Data Visibility Settings > Display Book Selector" setting is enabled. I did not find any BOOK specific privilege under role management wizard.
Can you please tell me the exact setting that i need to ensure for BOOK WSDL access?
Note: My user's role is admin.

Anyone know if there is a full installer file available for Acrobat Pro 9.4.6? I know the product is EOL later this year but we still have users accessing this version prior to upgrading to version 11.
The problem is the last full installer we have 9.0 and then you have to run each patch to patch to 9.4.6 (17 patches) as you can imagine this is causing us some issues.

No, there is no full installer for Acrobat 9.4.6. You can either create an Admin Install Point or Bootstrapper to directly install the Acrobat 9.4.6 version.

Though I have not worked using T.code SQVI, I had done the ABAP Query using "SAP Query". The procedure in it is in T.Code SQ03, we create a User Group and assign the users in the same, so that the users can access the Query. Hope this might help you. If you require I can send you the documentation on the same.
