[SOLVED] status of archlinuxfr repository

a few days ago, the archlinuxfr repo at http://repo.archlinux.fr went down and has not come back.
i've now switched to http://afur.archlinux.fr/pkg - which is working, but slow.
i've tried searching for more info, but have drawn a complete blank. does anyone know anything more about this?

Can you go to http://repo.archlinux.fr/ with your browser? I can.
My pacman.conf has just
[archlinuxfr]
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/i686
and I'm not using any proxies etc.
Post the output of 'pacman --debug -Syu' and your pacman.conf.
it was an issue with my hosts file. sorry for the noise.

  • [SOLVED] Non-actual local repository

    Hi, I had kernel.org as a main mirror and since it was down, pacman -Syu showed some error while downloading packages. So I stopped actualization, commented kernel.org (I have few other mirrors) and ran pacman -Syu again. Everything worked, system actualized normally but now, every time I run pacman -Syu, even if the system is actual (and I actualized it few seconds ago), it downloads package list from core, extra and community. It is hard to explain, but I show you example:
    [garret@sol ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu
    :: Synchronizing package databases...
    catalyst is up to date
    core 53.5K 2.5M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    extra 779.9K 3.4M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    community 453.9K 2.7M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    archlinuxfr is up to date
    :: Starting full system upgrade...
    there is nothing to do
    [garret@sol ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu
    :: Synchronizing package databases...
    catalyst is up to date
    core 53.5K 2.4M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    extra 779.9K 4.6M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    community 453.9K 3.2M/s 00:00:00 [#######################################################################] 100%
    archlinuxfr is up to date
    :: Starting full system upgrade...
    there is nothing to do
    [garret@sol ~]$
    So every time I run pacman -Syu, it downloads new package list from core, extra and community even if the local package list is actual. It is working, but it's little bit confusing. Does anybody know what to do with it?

    No, I tried some german mirror and it works without problem. So I think that it is problem on czech vpsfree mirror. Marking it as solved and patiently waiting for kernel.org to be up and running.

  • [SOLVED]Status of BOINC

    Any particular reason boinc-nox 7.2.42-1 in the Official repositories doesn't install boincmgr GUI manager as described in BOINC wiki?
    Any particular reason boinc-git in AUR (orphan) doesn't compile?
    Has BOINC fallen out of favor?
    Was thinking of giving it a try...

    Solved, permissions problem on  /var/lib/boinc/gui_rpc_auth.cfg
    -rw-r--r-- 1 boinc boinc 32 Jun 26 11:44 gui_rpc_auth.cfg
    Used chmod 644 vice chmod 640 as from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/BOINC
    BTW Switching to "Advanced" in boincmgr shows a status at the bottom of the window which gave me the clue.
    Thanks ids1024 for the help (and encouragement)

  • [SOLVED]Make a local repository

    I wonder if there is a way to make an archlinux repository for AUR packages, I think it'll be a lot easier to share these packages to other "Archers" with packages available in local repository like /var/cache/pacman/pkg
    Can anyone tell me how to make it, because i cannot find it anywhere so probably with asking in the forum i will find the answer.
    Thanks to you guys!
    Last edited by ch1pz (2010-04-08 14:29:11)

    first what you call AUR packages are not in fact binary packages but rather builds for making those packages. this means that is no sense for doing a repository.
    if you want to redistribute some of the builds out there, the tool for creating a repository is repo-add which is distribute with pacman.
    repo-add repo_name.db.tar.gz package-pkgver-pkgrel.pkg.tar.gz

  • Versioing: CVS Status not displaying new repository files

    I did some quick searches and did not find this in the forum. Hopefully it is not a duplicate. If so, please point me to the original thread.
    We have a multi-developer project underway with Creator. We are using CVS for the shared source repository. When one developer checks in a new file and other developer's use the CVS Status option, the new files do not display as 'Needs Checkout'. Of course, any files the user already has checked out display with the appropriate status but new repository files are missing.
    Since we use CVS extensively, right now the developers communicate the new files and then check them out via command line CVS. We have the IDE set in 'expert' mode, etc.
    Is this a know bug or is there some setting for the IDE to get it to display files with status 'Needs Checkout' from the cvs repository?

    As per the documentation at:
    http://ximbiot.com/cvs/manual/cvs-1.11.22/cvs_10.html
    Based on what operations you have performed on a checked out file, and what operations others have performed to that file in the repository, one can classify a file in a number of states. The states, as reported by the status command, are:
    Needs Checkout
        Someone else has committed a newer revision to the repository. The name is slightly misleading; you will ordinarily use update rather than checkout to get that newer revision.
    ...Thus the 'cvs status' command works only on local files and 'Needs Checkout', from cvs documentation itself, is a misnomer and is really more like 'Needs Update'.
    In Creator (and NetBeans), the nodes on the cvs explorer actually map to physical files and thus do not display nodes for files that may only be in the server. But you do raise an interesting question though; creator could display virtual nodes for files not in local workspace thereby providing a preview before actual checkout...

  • How can a question marked as "solved" be restored to unsolved status?

    How do you remove the “This solved my question” status icon if the answer turns out to be wrong?
    Variations of this question can be found in a few discussion threads in the Apple Support Community. I found one very similar question marked as “This solved my question.” Unfortunately the answer was, “It can't be changed.” I have reasons for trying to, at least, get a more definitive answer.
    A primary purpose of these discussions is to resolve issues. It is very frustrating to read through long threads that claim to have an answer, only to find that the question was mistakenly marked “solved.” I spent over an hour on a thread that was marked as resolved. The member that made the mistake wanted to remove the “solved” status--even asked for help several times. I finished the thread just in case either issue was resolved. No, neither issue was resolved.
    May someone, Apple if necessary, explain how to revert the “solved” status or help fix the problem? If it is a known issue with no workaround, it would be very helpful to have an explanation. Accordingly, are there plans to fix this problem, and a rough idea when? This could be a “This solved my question” hallmark worth celebrating!
    Caution: This discussion or parts of it may be revised or deleted while I attempt to find a solution or workaround. Once I've given up or the issue is resolved, I will indicate so, even if it requires a repost. Relevant contributions will be indicated either way.

    leonieDF and  seventy one pointed out, (paraphrasing) all posts can be helpful in some way, even if the original owner of the discussion didn't get their question resolved.
    Maybe if I keep using this tool I'll change my mind, but most of the time I'd rather save time getting something solved than not.
    If anyone believes there are legitimate reasons owners and participants of a discussion would benefit from the ability of the owner to reset the solved status, you're welcome to chime in.
    These excerpts from my original post express why I think a change is needed:
    Stiltskin!: “The member that made the mistake wanted to remove the “solved” status--even asked for help several times. I finished the thread just in case either issue was resolved. No, neither issue was resolved.”
    Stiltskin!: “I didn't find any entry in that thread with an answer to revert the icon. So I got the idea it wasn't common knowledge because so many posters asked the owner to fix it even though the owner kept asking how to do it.”
    A big part of why I started this discussion is because I noticed others (and myself) expressed interest in this feature (owner ability to reset a discussion's solved status). If anyone want's to respond to that, please do.
    Nobody's brought it up but my discussion's header question doesn't express what I'm talking about now. I would change it if I could. I'd encourage future contributors (if any) to read through the explanation of my question in the first post to understand my perspective beyond "How can a question marked as 'solved' be restored to unsolved status?"
    Thank you all for your input!

  • Virtualbox_bin AUR vs. Archlinuxfr (solved)

    I have a problem when upgrading virtualbox_bin. There are two version, one is in the archlinuxfr repository and tends to be outdated most of the time. Then there is virtualbox_bin in AUR that is updated almost instantly when a new version comes out. I use the version from AUR, but pacman keeps complaining about the installed version being newer than that in the repo. Another downside is that when using yaourt, the package is not listed as installed from AUR and thus doesn't get updated when the AUR package does.
    What I would like is to have the latest version available (regardless whether from AUR or archlinuxfr) when I do a yaourt -Syu --aur. Any ideas?
    Last edited by jarda-wien (2009-11-19 15:19:38)

    ok I did a paclist archlinuxfr and found out, that I had only a few packages installed from there, most of which were on AUR in the same version anyway. The only one that wasn't on AUR was firebrand. I did install firefox-branded from AUR though. Thank you for the idea that should have been mine:cool:

    The initial page from home page from App server is normal JSP (not part

    Now when i click on one of the 4 links whcih takes me to the respective

    But the portlets within the portals contains links without 9077 port
    e.g. http://hostname/something...
    The hostname is the name of iPlanet Web Server
    The portal pages (view source) contains absolute address for links without

  • [SOLVED]Yaourt not requiring Sudo

    I just installed in yaourt through the archlinuxfr repository method, and I realized that yaourt -Syua updates both the aur and non-aur packages -- without requiring root privileges.  I think that that is potentially harmful.  Is there something that can remedy this?
    I am using termite/zsh and I did a bit of reading:
    https://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh/pull/488
    Seems like they made a change here?   I don't have any aliases in my zshrc though.
    Thanks in advance.

    Not sure but i speculate the NOPASSWD tag was used in the soduers file. Here's an extract of sudoers man page:
    NOPASSWD and PASSWD
    By default, sudo requires that a user authenticate him or herself before running a command. This behavior can be modified via the NOPASSWD tag.
    Like a Runas_Spec, the NOPASSWD tag sets a default for the commands that follow it in the Cmnd_Spec_List. Conversely, the PASSWD tag can be used to
    reverse things. For example:
    ray rushmore = NOPASSWD: /bin/kill, /bin/ls, /usr/bin/lprm
    would allow the user ray to run /bin/kill, /bin/ls, and /usr/bin/lprm as root on the machine rushmore without authenticating himself. If we only
    want ray to be able to run /bin/kill without a password the entry would be:
    ray rushmore = NOPASSWD: /bin/kill, PASSWD: /bin/ls, /usr/bin/lprm
    Note, however, that the PASSWD tag has no effect on users who are in the group specified by the exempt_group option.
    By default, if the NOPASSWD tag is applied to any of the entries for a user on the current host, he or she will be able to run ``sudo -l'' without a
    password. Additionally, a user may only run ``sudo -v'' without a password if the NOPASSWD tag is present for all a user's entries that pertain to
    the current host. This behavior may be overridden via the verifypw and listpw options.
    Obviously, this is kinda dangerous, specially if OP had/has ALL:ALL rights....
    Anyway. OP said he didn't run "sudo yaourt" but "yaourt" alone. Does that mean yaourt has some kind of condition in its code where basically if user isn't root, it attempts to run exec commands with sudo?

  • Job Schedular status running after killing process flow from OWF monitor

    Hi,
    PROBLEM SCENARIO:
    Scheuled job called 'TEST' kicks off process flow called 'Child_load' under 'Parent_load_all' and gets stuck. I go into OWF (ORACLE WORK FLOW MONIOTOR) and kill both the process flows and then complete the Process flow run manually from OWB. Now, next day the scheduled job 'TEST' should execute 'Parent load all', but it doesn't do that instead it shows 'TEST' in 'Running' STATUS from yesterday when I see it in toad under Sched.Jobs. I have to drop the scheduled job and redeploy it from OWB in order for it to work.
    Any idea why its doing that?
    Thanks in advance.

    hello
    the status of the scheduled job should be 'running'
    here is what i received from oracle support on that matter:
    A scheduled job is always in BUSY status, till the moment it is stopped in the Control Center Manager.
    If you open the Control Center Manager, goto the Location and expand the plus "+" in front of Scheduled Jobs. There should be your job DLOAD_JOB.
    On the right bottom appears the dialog Control Center Jobs. And there is a tab "Scheduled". Click on that tab and you should see a green arrow in front of the job DLOAD_JOB. This means the job is running. (In fact it is not running but waiting to be executed again according scheduled time)
    To stop the job to run according schedule, you can right-click on the job and choose "Stop". The green arrow will disappear and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Completed"
    To start the job again, you can right-click on the job and choose "Start". The green arrow will appear again and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Busy"
    so according to this the scheduler job should be in status running;
    why it does not trigger your processes however is another thing;
    rgds

    Database has 11.2.0.1 version and setup according installation guide(init parameters and so on...), what's wrong?

    In install guide is written: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11857_01/install.111/e15838/install_em_exist_db.htm#CIAIGDIH
    „No environment variable specific to Enterprise Manager Grid Control needs to be set prior to installation. The ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID variables should not be set; Oracle directories should not appear in the PATH.“
    When I'v set up following variables everything went fine:
    ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product64/11.2.0.1
    ORACLE_SID=UAGRID
    PATH=/usr/java6_64/bin:/opt/oracle/product64/11.2.0.1/bin:/usr/bin:/etc:/usr/sbin:/usr/ucb:/usr/bin/X11:/sbin:/usr/lbin:/root/MSP/bin:.:/usr/local/bin:/u1/oracle/SCRIPTS:/opt/oracle/product64/11.2.0.1/OPatch
