[SOLVED]Thunderbird attachments action list empty

So I have been experiencing this for a while now, thuderbird is my prefered mail client but If I am unable to solve this I will have to switch mail clients.
My attachments action list is empty and I am unable to populate it, that is, I cant open ANYTHING by clicking on it on thunderbird, no urls, no documents/pdfs, no video, audio, nothing.
I tried deleting the mimetypes.rdf file as the mozillazine suggested, but same problem.
I have also tried to reinstall thunderbird, same thing.
How can I fix this?

No Action List Found

I am trying to download Adobe and no matter what I do it says "no action list found". I have uninstalled the Adobe that I had and thought that might solve the problem. I have tried at least 12 times, I have followed as many of the suggestions as possible and still no luck. Please someone must have the answer.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me about my query. I have Windows XP 2003, I use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. I am trying to download Acrobat Reader. When I try to look at documentation in Ancestry.com (something I had no problem doing, up until 3 weeks ago) it says that I don't have a reader, it then says that I can download from there, so I press install now, when I do this it goes through the process gets to the end and then says, sorry no action list found. My other problem is when I try to look at any of my pictures or email attachments of pictures it says that the file is not a supported file type or has been damaged when emailed,and that it can't open, but it says the same thing when I look at my own pictures that haven't been emailed.

The second sign is of headset connected. If it is present without any headset connected then contact Nokia Care. The first sign is not that clear. Is it a lock? Also sice when is the dialled number shown as empty? If its recent you will have to contact Nokia care as you've done all that can be done by a user.

No library or action listed in automator

Can anyone help, I am new to automator. on opening automator both the library and action is empty and there is no appliction list. How does one automate anything?

I have the same problem: although Automator used to work fine, now everything is just gone and I can't even use my own workflows. It is also impossible to import any actions, be it from the automator folder or from any other folder that I downloaded actions to. There are no error messages displayed in automator, which prompts me to believe that this is a rather nasty bug. I have been searching around different international and norwegian forums, and the problem seems to be widespread (yet there is little or no information about what has been leading up to the problems). I tried all of the suggested tricks - trash the com.apple.automator.plist, reinstalled automator from the DVD, repaired permissions. If I create a new user, it will work fine (and no, I didn't change the user name for the my own account). I'll continue hoping that somewhere there is a top-notch user holding the secret key combination that will solve this mystery...
Another guy though that Filevault was causing the trouble, but if that is the case I can't see any reason why there should only be problems with automator and why they should persist across reinstalls and restarts.

What is an action list?

Adobe cannot instal the latest update because it cannot find my aciton list! What is an action list and where can it be found?

Adobe mentions it cannot find action list

When installing adobe flash it mentions at the end of the install process that it can't find 'action list' does anyone know how to solve this?

Export a batch action/list?

Is it possible to save a batch action to a file, and then import that action to another user's computer?
For example, Photoshop has an action list and you can export 1 action or a set of actions, then import it to another machine very easily (using save/load). I would like to do the same thing. If it's impossible, this is a major oversight.

Batch sequences are saved locally as SEQU files, which can be copied from one computer to another.
To find out the exact location(s) of these files on your computer, run this from the JavaScript console:
app.getPath("app","sequences");
app.getPath("user","sequences");

Custom fields to change the actions ;list

Dear all,
I had put a custom check box in the new custom tab.
Based on this check box value I want to set the actions in the action list.
for example ...say the custom check box is 'Approval required' . if this is checked only then the action list should have action as Approved ...otherwise not.
This is field is created in the crmd_customer_h table thru the structure.
Now I have created a parameter in the container editor like the same screen field (with import and export options checked) and in the condtions for this action, I have written to display this action only if this parameter has the value 'X'.
Its not working.please advice me how to proceed.
Also can we set the break point here.

please use BADI CONTAINER_PPF to fill the value of your parameter.

Why is an applescript always pushed to end of action list in Mail rules?

Hi,
I try to create a rule in Mail such that an Applescript is executed and then other things are done to the message (such as move it to a folder, for example). I want this to be the preceise order of things: first, do script, next, do other things.
I create my rule in the Mail preferences, and it all goes fine. But when I reopen the rule to examine it again, I see that the Applescript part of the actions has now been pushed to the end of the action list.
I wonder if anyone can explain the logic of this? I didn't find any reference in the help for why is this happening. Is it because of the possible time-out associated with the applescript (so as not to hang the rest of the rule evaluation)?

I don't know exactly but it might be that Mail has no way of knowing that the Applescript has completed in order to continue. So, making it the last step ensures that the complete rules will work everytime.
What are you trying to do with your messages? Perhaps we can figure out a workaround.

Frustrated because I keep getting "action list not found" when installing adobe-reader.

1. I had Adobe-reader installed and working but kept getting pop-up screens telling me to update.
2. Each time I tried updating, an error-message showed up "action list not found".
3a. So I thought deleting adobe-reader and doing a fresh install might work.
3b. Using Goggle-Chrome, I still get the same error-message.
3c. Then trying Internet-Explorer as a browser, I still get the same error-message.
4. The real problem now is I have no Adobe-reader at all and that will make my wife unhappy.
5. Operating-system is XP; I don't know how to tell if I have SP-2 or SP-3 if that makes a difference at all.

This problem has been resolved; ultimately, I found out via Googling that XP-SP2-32bit can only handle Version 9.5.
I am upset that Adobe kept telling me for weeks now that I needed to update but they directed me to an update my system is incapable of handling.
Hence the error "action list not found". Dumb!!! I trusted them that they knew what they were doing.
I felt it would help to uninstall what I had and do a fresh install.
Now in that path, Adobe directed me to download version 9.0, which I did.
Then somehow I found out that version 9.5 is the latest-greatest for my machine.
Why did Adobe not make available 9.5 right away instead of 9.0??? Dumb again!!!!
Nice product though; bad execution.

I am trying to install flash player on Windows 7 and I keep getting "action list not found". I am showing that it is installed in my control panel, but when I try to open a program from home school it is saying that I do not have flashplayer.

Can't install Adobe Flash due to "Aktionsliste nicht gefunden" error (action list not found).

Hi there,
I'm on Mac OS X 10.8.3 and I have trouble updating/installing the latest version of Adobe Flash.
I had Flash installed but the normal update would fail with an "Aktionsliste nicht gefunden" error (action list not found).
Then I uninstalled Flash (via the Adobe tool) and tried installing it several times from scratch but I'm always getting the same error.
I now also disabled my Avast virus software before installing but still, same error.
Please, there needs to be a solution to this. Does somebody know how to get around this error, so that I can install the latest version of Flash?
Any help would be much appreciated.

MDM_WS_Generator not coming in Assigned actions list

Hi,
I have recently deployed MDM WEB SERVICES 7.1 7.11 on my Netweaver CE 7.2.
But when I try to assign the action MDM_WS_Generator it is not showing it in the Assigned action list of Netweaver CE.

The option to Save is missing from action list

Hi,
I am trying to create an action button to Save my file but unfortunately, it seems to be missing from the action list, as shown below:
Can I add the File>Save or File>Save as to this list? If not how can I save this file?
Another important issues is that I will need to be able to save it on both an iPad and a Microsoft based PC, do I have to do anything different?

I believe this is on purpose. Unless a script is installed on the local
machine of the user you can't save the file silently, ie without their
consent. And such a script is not going to work on iOS devices, only on
desktops.

How do I find the Action List?

The error message during intall say "unable to locate the action list".
Trying to install on Windows 7 Acer Laptop.
