[SOLVED]Trying to install package-query again. Cannot find PKGBUILD.

I'm updating my arch after 4 months. Yes it has been a long time.
During the update process I had to remove package-query and yaourt, and now I'm trying to get them back.
I got package-query from here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35915
Untared it, went inside, and did makepkg -s, but the PKGBUILD could not be found. I looked through the directories and didn't see a PKGBUILD anywhere.
Am I missing something?

Did you click the 'Download Tarbel' link on the right side of the page? (Correct choice)
Or the link under the Sources Bar ? (Incorrect choice)

this morning my PB G4 would not get to the password screen after power on.  I have rebooted many times and very loud noises (like a HD spinning/rubbing) emits. Tried the Install disk and it cannot find the hard drive. Ran HW test and got a "Mass storage Error Code" message.
Did my HD just crash and unrecoverable?  Time to replace my notebook?

I believe your hard drive has failed. Hope you have a backup.

  • Error when trying to install the iSCSI target - Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1'

    Hi,
I'm just attempting to setup an iSCSI target on a freshly installed Windows 2012r2 box, but I get the following error when attempting to Create and iSCSI virtual disk via the wizard after a successful
installation of the iSCSI target role.
    The full error is:
Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1' in directory 'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget\en-GB\', or in any parent culture.
I tried to uninstall, then reinstall the role but no go.
The Server Locale and UI was all updated to en-GB but this folder does not appear to exist in this location. Rather, the folder I can see is:
    'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget\en-US\'
I'm going to attempt to copy the 'en-US' folder to 'en-GB' to see what happens, but I would like to know why this has occurred in the first place? Other roles have installed (such as AD DS AD CS and
IIS) on other machines with no issue.
    Many thanks
    Chris
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
The error "Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1'" occured, because the file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1' can't be loaded under the folder en-GB with current culture.
I recommend you can copy this .psd1 file under  'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget'. Essentially if PowerShell can’t find the specified data file for the current culture it will “fallback” to the top-level data
    file in this case.

If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

I edited your post to change the \[quote\] tags to \[code\] tags - it makes for a much easier to read post

Two options are to change your SigLevel or sign your own key...

  • "The task sequence has been suspended. LiteTouch is trying to install applications. This cannot be performed in Windows PE."

MDT 2012 Server is up and running. I mistakenly deleted a Task Sequence step called "Install Application" that I thought was not needed (I know I should have disabled it and tested).
I have a problem now, when I went to image a computer I did not get application list (This used to work before I deleted the above TS step) with items to check and uncheck for installation.  "Install Application" TS was readded but now when I try to
    image I get this error:
"The task sequence has been suspended. LiteTouch is trying to install applications. This cannot be performed in Windows PE."
I've tried moving it to different positions on the list (Higher and lower) to no avail, I always get the same error. Please advise.
    -Thanks in advance!

On the computer you are deploying to "the client", boot into WindowsPE just like you are going to image and before you authenticate or
get any dialogue boxes, press F8 in WindowsPE to get command prompt and type the following:
    diskpart
    list disk
    select disk 0
    list part
    select part 1
    clean
    create part primary
    assign
    active
    exit
Please mark this as the answer if it works.
You are awesome this worked for me I didn't see how I was going to get my new computer to reimage again Thank you sooooooooooooo much!!!

Hello! I had Photoshop Elements (and some other products) installed on my Laptob, but lost them because of a system breakdown. Trying to install these programms again, I logged in to my account "my adobe" and immediately found my products listed there plus a link "download here". But clicking the link didn´t start anything. Nothing happened. How can I get my prgramms installed again?

Try using a different browser if the link did not work.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

    Justin,
In addition to what mo said, some have found that the page with the direct download link,

If you're running Mac OS X 10.8.x ou can purchase iPhoto version 9.x from the App Store. If you purchase iPhoto at the App Store you will automatically get the most up-to-date version and you won't need to install the 9.4 update.

  • [SOLVED] Trying to install Octave, gcc-fortran dep. doesn't install

I've been trying to install Octave.
I've found that down the dependency chain that gcc-fortran is giving me the classic mutlilib conflict error:
    gcc-libs and gcc-libs-multilib are in conflict. Remove gcc-libs-multilib? [y/N] n
Does the package need to be fixed? Or does it really depend on the non-multilib version of gcc stuff?  Any tips would be appreciated, I'd prefer to fix PKGBUILD and makepkg if I can instead of doing a uninstall/reinstall ballet.
    Thanks!
    SOLVED:
I had my multilib repository commented out in my pacman.conf
    Embarassing whoops.

FTP ISOLINUX worked perfectly for me!
I ran into this problem at first, however:
    failed to mount /dev/sr0
    :scanning usb drives
    failed to mount /dev/sda1
attempt to access beyond end of device
    sda2: rw=0, want=4, limit=2
    ext2-fs: unable to read superblock
    failed to mount /dev/sda2
    failed to mount /dev/sda5
    failed to mount /dev/sda6
    failed to mount /dev/sda1
error: cannot find boot device, can not continue
    falling back to interactive prompt
But that was caused by the usb drive that I half-ways made into an bootable device.  Removing it allowed me to continue on with to the Arch config window.
Thanks you all for your input and help.  It was because of you that I have a fully Arch home environment!  Good luck with all of your future endeavors, you guys!

That is weird, since gcc-libs-multilib provides gcc-libs and should not lead to any removal.
    try pacman -S multilib-devel

  • [SOLOVED] 'pacman -S yaourt' tries for 64bit package-query on 32bit

I've been getting a 32bit chroot installed recently and have started over several times for learning and documentation purposes. One issue that has occurred every time is as follows:
    - Per the ArchWiki, I have added the following to /opt/arch32/etc/pacman.conf to allow for 'pacman -S yaourt':
    [archlinuxfr]
    Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/i686
    - the only uncommented mirror in /opt/arch32/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist is:
    --- Server = http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis … po/os/i686
    - everything that follows is done from my 32bit chroot, setup per the ArchWiki, with base and base-devel, daemon started, etc.
    - pacman -Syu && pacman -S yaourt
    - I have gotten this output every time I've tried:
    [jwhendy@bigBang ~]$ sudo pacman -S yaourt

So... everything pacman is grabbing is i686 except package-query. Why in the world would this be? I would assume this happens on an actual 32bit install as well, but not sure... Could it have to do with me being on a 32bit chroot? I can't figure out how it would selectively be grabbing i686 and 64bit packages given my pacman.conf and mirrorlist, though...
    - Workaround:
--- I've been just doing 'pacman -S curl yajl' and then using makepkg -si to install package-build from AUR
I wanted to post this, though, as I think something is wrong in a depends list or repo somewhere to be causing this time after time.
Is this me being stupid or is there something else going on here?

  • [SOLVED] Installing mod_jk through Aurbuild - Cannot find...

    OLD TOPIC TITLE: Tomcat + mod_jk + Apache2  - need help!
    Hi everyone,
I've been trying to install mod_jk but cannot get it compiled (compiling finishes fine but then there is no mod_jk.so file.. got me stumbled..). Annyway, I found a wiki for it on the ArchWiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Tomcat_and_Apache), but the download link is dead, and since the only thing I really need is the compiled "mod_jk.so", that's a pretty big problem. Could someone provide me with 'jk2-2.0.2.tar.bz2'? I can get the other file ('tomcat-4.1.27-1.tar.gz') from the net easily, but googling for the jk2 file doesn't show any results other than the ArchWiki page refering to it..
I really need this for my school project so any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,

I dont think the pkgbuild can fix those errors, what do you think? I looked through the configure script at the lines that the error messages state, but I don't see anything obviously wrong there. I've also met all the requirements for installing mod_jk as far as I know. echo $? after running ./configure shows a '0' too, so I'm not too sure if those errors are that serious.. After running a 'make' though (it does work for pretty long..) it doesn't show any errors, but there is no mod_jk.so in apache-2.0 directory. Also, after running make the exit code is still 0, so I don't think it has an error anywhere.
Any hints on what might cause these errors would be greatly appreciated!
I've attached the full output of the configure command and the make command:
