[SOLVED] Unable to update pacman - Catalyst database issue

Hi there,
I have the AMD catalyst drivers installed for Dell 1555 laptop. As they changed their server URL, I updated my pacman.conf as directed in Arch wiki and then added the GPG key with the following commands.
# pacman-key --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0xabed422d653c3094
# pacman-key --lsign-key 0xabed422d653c3094
However, I still get the following error:
error GPGME error: No data
error GPGME error: No data
:: Synchronizing package database...
xorg112 is up to date
catalyst-hd234k is up to date
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
multilib is up to date
error: database 'xorg112' is not valid (invalid or corrupted database (PGP signature))

Please help.

Strangely, I did a pacman -Syu today and it worked well without any error. Not sure what was broken, but it is fixed now.

I apologise in advance. I'm worried that I've either read the answer to this or asked the question before but, if so, I cannot for the life of me find it.
What is the best way to check the progress on package signing? and, even, database signing? (I assume the latter is not yet implemented.)
Currently, I'm using PackageRequired for multilib and core but not community or extra (and not for AUR).
Is there a sticky, blog or wiki page I can monitor so that I know when to require signing for the remaining packages? And when signatures for the databases themselves are implemented?
Or will this be announced via a pacman -Syu announcement?

Thanks. I didn't know about expac... expac + grep "(null)" also works nicely though I admit awk is neater. (I just always find awk kind of alien and have never really got to grips with it.)
I've updated pacman.conf to "PackageRequired" for extra. Just a few things in Community to go, I guess. I didn't realise the signing was this far along!

Has somebody set the database ready for archiving, maybe some maxl has been run and the db has not been returned from read only mode.
Try running the following Maxl (change app.db to match your app/db)
alter database app.db end archive;

[solved]gcc broken after pacman update - libcloog-isl.2.so

After a pacman update my gcc broke. When compiling it gives this error:

I solved the problem. There was an issue with my pacman.conf. Multilib wasn't properly enabled after the pacman4 transition.

I tried running pacman -Syyu, but that did not seem to solve the problem. There is /var/lib/pacman/local/openssl-0.9.8l-1/
directory but it is empty. When running pacman -S openssl, I get the above error message as well but it spans for hundreds of buffer lines. In the end I end up with this:

seemed to have fixed it. Did not know of the force reinstall option. The necessary directories in /var/lib/pacman/local/openssl have been created.

I could not find the error number.

The Readonly error got resolved.
But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.
*Unable to Read Information From [C:\Hyperion\essbase\app\SMC\PL\PL-BS-LD.rul]*
Unexpected Essbase error 1019003
I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.

I am unable to update software or backup my devices. Apple techs unable to resolve the issue after hours of phone support over the course of several months.

I am unable to update software, transfer purchases, sync, or backup any of my 3 devices. I have tried using iTunes on other computers, uninstalling iTunes with tech support walking me through, using a different user on my computer, deleting photos off of my devices, using an ethernet cable instead of connecting with wifi, uninstalling my antivirus software and firewall, and had my laptop examined by several techs who all determined there was nothing wrong with the laptop that explains what has been going on. I am also unable to view or download purchases on iTunes. Clicking the Itunes store results in a blank white screen. I get various error messages, including -9886. Apple techs and now the engineers have been unable to resolve the issues thus far, even after several hours of phone support over the course of several months (about 5 hours this month alone). I have done everything they've suggested, even when they've suggested I do something over again, and I'm becoming frustrated. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you in advance for your time.

Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

OK, If there's one thing i hate most about SAP, its the dreaded installation, I am always so paranoid, as to something will definitely go wrong,
Lately i realized that it aint my mind , but the damn installation itself is pretty damn stupid. Why cant SAP leave the installation packaging to professionals like installshield...
Unfortunately SAP doesnt think of it as a better idea, so until then lets try to resolve as many errors as possible thru these forums..
Here's one error resolution ,i am pretty sure, many are checking for..
Use the following procedure to resolve error
<b>Warning - "loading of sql client library oci.dll failed"
Error - Unable to update Database Statistics, Check BRCONNECT.log</b>
The problem seems to be with the SAP Patch Collection InstallMaster disc Material No.(<b>51032143_13</b>).
To resolve the problem, here's what needs to be done,
1)Install DB Instance as usual.Then after the installation errors out due to loading of sql
client library oci.dll ..
2)I unsar the downloaded DBATOOLS.sar (Thanks for the Link Andreaz!!!)
log into sapnet (eg. service.sap.com) with your user-id/pwd:
-> downloads -> support packages and patches -> entry by application group -> additional
components -> sap kernel -> now chose either 32 or 64 bit; either unicode or non-unicode ->
sap kernel 6.40 -> windows server -> oracle -> download the package DBATOOLS Package for
Oracle 9.2.x ... brconnect is part of that package...
3)Copy the files in the Unsar'd package, as follows
     overwrite br*.exe to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run
     overwrite initSID.sap to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
     overwrite libsbt.dll to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
     overwrite sapdba_role.sql to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
4) Retry the installation again & Guess what!! it works....
Warning-: I initially tried a shortcut by replacing DBATOOLS.sar on the installmaster disc, rather than following above steps, but that doesnt seem to work, the installation fails as as soon as Tablespace creation starts. So the shortcut aint a good one..

Workflow issue with new WSP, "Unable to locate the content database"

I deployed a wsp last night. The farm is 1 WFE, 1 APP, 1 SQL. The workflow can be started manually, but isn't being triggered by a timer job. Workflow timer services are started on WFE and APP.

What is the wsp? Is it a migrated workflow?
Whether the wsp has the relationship with the problematic workflow.
You said that the workflow isn't being triggered by a timer job, what is the time job? Or, you mean the workflow cannpt be triggered automatically when an item is added or changed or other.
If the workflow cannot start automatically when an item is added or changed, you need to make sure you are not using the System Account.

Database updates statistics maintenance plan issue.

Hi team,
We are configured one job through maintenance plan that job name is “database update statistics” and database size is 280 Gb, this job executing 13 to 15 hours but job was not finished still it’s continually running.
This same job I am running through below script it’s executing within 2 hours.
Use database
Go
Exec sp_updatestats
What is the main problem if this maintenance plan.
Note: on this server no jobs and no traffic, only abc_update subpaln1 Job.

Updating stats for whole database which is 280 G will always result in problem.It is better to run update statistics for tables and indexes which are changed frequently.
Now to your question few points which sp_Updatestas list in BOL

sp_updatestats updates statistics on disabled nonclustered indexes and does not update statistics on disabled clustered indexes.
sp_updatestats updates only the statistics that require updating based on the rowmodctr information in the sys.sysindexes catalog view, thus avoiding unnecessary updates of statistics
on unchanged rows.

Have you checked the execution plan if indexes are used?
You could update the data in chunks, e.g. 10.000 rows per execution. For this you have to add a TOP clause and a filter to update only those, who are not updated yet.
update TOP (10000) Employees
set Status = 'Close'

from MyView
where DownloadedDate ='2014-07-27 00:00:00.000')

Suddenly unable to update User Authorisation in 8.8 PL11

This has been posted previously, but it was marked as solved... But the "solution" is not working for us.

We did not have any problems after upgrading our db's to pl11. It was just recently that this function stopped working.
Here are the steps and failure outlined:
Steps :
1. Update the one of the user authorisation of the upgraded company. Eg. Set Drag & Relate from Various Authorisation to Full Authorisation.
2. Click on "Update" (nothing happened).
3. Click on "Update" (2nd time, system indicated that Update is successful.
4. Exit from General Authorisation.
5. Re-enter General Authorisation.
6. Found that the authorisation for that user is updated. it is still Various Authorisation for Drag & Relate.
I have tried other users and found to be the same. authorisations are not updated. Furthermore, the Update button is clicked twice.
Our other 5 company databases do not have this issue.
Please advise. What needs to be done.

Gordon, I think you're on to something, but I am already looking down this path too...
I ran the following query,
select distinct permid from usr3 where permid not in (select absid from oupt)
This query showed results, therefore there is definitely inconsistencies in the database.
I guess, this means that there's no solution? Only a "hotfix" from SAP?
