[SOLVED] Videos causing X crash

Question

Hey all, another Arch noob here -
I'm using 64-bit Arch, and I installed Skype through pacman.
It's all been working great, however, when the person I'm calling starts video (Either screenshare or webcam) X crashes out, and I'm sent back to command-line, where I have to startx again. It comes up with fatal error messages.
EDIT:
I'm also getting this error when I try to play a video with VLC.
I'm not sure where to find a log for this to post, so if there's a log I need to post to help towards a fix, just ask!
I'm using Openbox without a DE if that helps too.
FIX:
Added the 1.10 repository, ran pacman -Syu then -Suu.

Yes, you gave me the options, but didn't tell me how to actually do them. I've tried googling plenty, and I've had no helpful results yet. If there's no way to implement the three options you gave, then say so, and I'll keep the thread open until there's a 4th option that might work.
Although two of your options aren't really options, as any new program to replace skype would probably use the XV, and hence I'd be back at square one. Plus it'll be hard to switch everyone on my Skype contact lists over to it even if it does work.
I've already said the Radeon driver doesn't work.
So that leaves your first option, which no one seems to be any the wiser on how to implement.
Next option is to go back to my Ubuntu install when I need to make a Skype video call, which is a shame because Arch does everything else about 20 times faster than Ubuntu. Plus is a lot of fiddling just for one thing.
