Email client suddenly unable to connect to server
Hi, I don't always use my phone to check my email when I am at home but today I have been having problems with the email client on my Z1 compact. It keeps saying that it cannot open a connection to the server. I have tried using both my data and home wifi with the same result.
I went in and cleared the data and did a force stop.
I have managed to add the account again but it won't update past the end of Jan (I have emails from today).
All othe internet apps are working as normal.
I've checked and it is not requesting me to verify my identity.
I am using Hotmail.
When I refresh it is shows the last update was today (3rd Feb) but no newer emails.
Can anyone help? I haven't changed any settings so not sure why this is happening.
EDA I tried to add my gmail account and it said connection error.Hi, Thank you for replying.
I rebooted in safe mode with the same result so that means it's the app that's the problem, correct? I even did a force stop and cleared the data again. No joy!
I've been using the Gmail app just now but the other app is much better (or was). Bigger attachment allowance for one thing.
I looked at the ones you've linked and I'm not sure if the second one is only for business users or not.
This is so frustrating - I hate when things just stop working.
Open to any other suggestions. -

I have a Photosmart 7520 working perfectly and suddenly since a week ago when I try to scan to email problem I get the error Unable to connect to web services
I followed all the forum instructions. Removed power for over a minute from the router and printer and connected the router first.

I followed the suggested steps below
1. Obtain your printer's IP address
a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
4. On the left select networking.
5. Select Network Address (IP)

a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.
And nothing works.
Any help please??Hi Iru67,

We are unable to connect to Integration builder through VPN.
Hi,
We are unable to connect to Integration builder through VPN.
Below are the errors we get:
a. In two of the PI 7.0 Systems we get:
i. Cannot open connection on host x and port y.
ii.com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection on host: x and port:y
iii. java.net.SocketException: Malformed reply from SOCKS server
b. In the other two PI 7.1 systems we get:
i. MESSAGE ID: com.sap.aii.ib.core.ejbutil.rb_all.SERVER_NOT_AVAILABLE
ii. com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NamingException: Exception while trying to get InitialContext. [Root exception is com.sap.engine.interfaces.cross.DestinationException: cannot establish connection with any of the available instances:

uvw.xyz.abc.net:51504 Reason: com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection to host: x and port: y
The hosts and ports are accessible. (Telnets and tracerts work fine for all the systems)
We are able to access the SLD and Runtime workbench on all the environments. However, Integration Builder tools are not accessible.
Any clue on what the problem might be?
Thank you,
Siva.Hi Siva,
When you execute SXMB_IFR from PI, do you get Integration Builder page?
Are you trying to directly access the PI server by the known URLs?

I have attached show run-config and show running-configFor the public WLAN, what is 10.1.1.1? Is it a real DHCP server, is it a FW? If it's a FW, then you'll need to disable dhcp proxy:
CLI config dhcp proxy disable
GUI Controller > Advanced > DHCp, and uncheck the box for proxy.
As for all of your other SSID, they are all pointd at the management interface. Double check the WLAN config, and point them to the interface you want the user to get an IP address in.

Steve

Safari, iTunes Store, Software Updates are Unable to Connect
Hi all,
Help, please! Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard connectivity has been a worrying and upsetting issue.
Often times I couldn't go online using Safari. Now it's getting much worse: Software Updates, Safari and iTunes Store are unable to connect at all.
I have no problem going online with Firefox, I have no problem downloading / installing, Transmission works just fine, everything else works just a-ok.
So, I have no idea what is wrong.
Thanks in advance!Make sure that you have no proxy set in your Network preferences if you don't need one, or that you do have one set if you do.
Mac OS X as a whole and Firefox have two entirely separate methods of configuring proxies, so when Safari can't connect but Firefox can it's usually because of a mismatch in proxy settings between Firefox and Mac OS X itself. -
Is it possible to define what clients are allowed to connect?
Hello,
under certain circumstances i would like to have the possibility to define what clients are allowed to connect to the database. I was trying to find something like an "access list" for the listener configuration in which one can define what computers will be allowed by the listener to connect to the db, but unfortunately i didn't succeed.
Do you know if something like this exists? (its about an old 9.2 db...)Sorry, it seems this already is what i was looking for:

I will give it a try

"we are unable to connect to the content you've requested." I'm trying to view a DVD, but I'm getting this message on both my iMac and my MacBookAir. There are two DVD's and I'm getting the same message using either DVD on both computers. I was sent a Flash drive w/ the same video, but I am getting the same message again. One of the DVD's was a replacement, because I thought it was a DVD problem, but now I think it's a computer problem, but I have no idea what to do. It must be a setting, but I know nothing about hardware. If there is a solutiion, I need a step by step answer that I can print out and follow.
My apps are updating OK. This may be an iTunes/App Store server issue, but you can try restarting the iPad and see if that helps. You can also try quitting the app store, restart and try again,
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

I work for directNIC.com and our customers who are located in foreign countries are unable to send/receive email on their blackberry devices. The problem started at the beginning of this month and we can not figure out what the problem is. Our U.S. blackberry customers are not having any problems. Our non-U.S. customers have reported errors such as needing to revalidate the account and when they tried to they received an invalid domain or invalid username/password message. Some customers said the email just quit working and they received an unable to connect error message. I've had one customer provide me with a link to their wireless provider's blackberry email account setup and I am unable to setup their email account there or any email account that uses any of our servers. All of our customer's email accounts work in their email clients on their computers, their other phones, and through their webmail it is only their blackberries. We've white listed all of blackberry's IP addresses and we've checked the server logs to see if there were any connection attempts when I tried to setup the email accounts through the customer's online blackberry interface and there wasn't even an attempt to connect to the server. The error message that I receive is as follows:
Email address domain not found:
The email address domain 'insert domain name here' cannot be found. Please verify this
information is correct. If the error persists contact 'insert domain name here' (your
email provider)
The problem isn't with just one wireless provider it's with multiple providers in multiple countries but the U.S. customers aren't reporting any problems. I am able to setup my personal email account through his blackberry site, an email account from my work through his blackberry site, my yahoo.com email address, and my hotmail.com email address. The only email accounts that do not work are the email accounts that are on any of our servers. Some of these servers have different server configuration but all of them have all of blackberry's IP addresses whitelisted. Our premium hostng email servers have the same software installed on them as my work email server does and my work email account works fine when I try to set it up through blackberry but none of the premium hosting email accounts that I tried to setup through this customers interface will work. The problem is only with blackberry devices and is only with customers outside of the U.S. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas please let us know.
Thanks,
Priscilla

Outlook 2010 and 2013 are unable to connect but OWA (and mail routing) works fine
Hi-
Not sure why but this past Sunday (just after DST adjustment) outlook clients (using 2010 and 2013) were unable to connect to an Exchange 2013 server. OWA and mail routing (internal and external) is working fine. I've even tried on multiple machines
and all of them experience the same issue. On a new machine with a fresh version of outlook 2013 installed here is what happens:
Click on Outlook 2013
Click Next until the account setup is displayed.
Name and email is auto-populated
Established network connection is good
Searching for email address settings is good (once the self-signed exchange 2013 cert is accepted)
And then the logging onto the mail server fails. The first pop-up is:
The Connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Clicking "OK" is followed up with a window with the Microsoft Exchange connection info.
It lists Microsoft Exchange server which is populated with: GUID@<domain suffix>
Mailbox which is populated with: =SMTP:<Valid Email address>
On the Exchange Server I have noticed that the Web Management Service (WMSVC) is stopped and will not start. Starting the service outputs:
EventID 7024
"The Web Management Service terminated with the following service-specific error: Unspecified error"
Not really helpful :)
Since this is only happening with Outlook on multiple clients I'm expecting something with Exchange or the ability for outlook to connect to exchange.
Thanks in advance!Hi
I know this is an old post, but I'm having a very similar issue. I have CU6 installed and all other client connectivity apart from internal Outlook connectivity is working fine. I have distributed the new Self-Signed Certificate and the tested to verify
the clients trust it. I have tried on multiple machine with multiple accounts and none of them connect.
I'm at the stage of reinstalling, but I would rather troubleshoot the problem, just in case ever hit the same wall in the future. I have run Test-OutlookConnectivity with the following output;

N80i SIP client problem "unable to connect"
I'm having a problem with my N80i. When i use my phone in my WLAN for browsing the internet everything works fine. The problem appears when I try to use de SIP client, i always get "unable to connect to network". I've configured a Gizmo account,but can't connect. I've also configure an asterisk SIP account on my local network (in order to avoid any routing/port blocking/fw issue) and the same thing happens. In fact I've activated a sniffer in my linux box and I don't see any packet coming from the phone.
As far as I've investigated it seems like the problem occurs inside the phone (no ip packets come from the N80).
I wonder if it might be a firmware block.
Any help will be really appreaciateI want to share with you my experience, just in case someone is having the same problem I had.
I could solve the problem. Here is the config I use in the SIP settings:
Profile name: {whatever U want}
Service profile: IETF
Default access point: {a WLAN access previously define as access point from the WLAN wizzard}
Public user name: sip:{user}@{Server IP or name}
Use compresion: no
Registration: always on
Use security: no
Proxy Server:
Proxy server address: sip:{server ip or name}
Realm: asterisk (in case u are using asterisk or the same name defined in proxy server address)
User name: {user}
Password: {password}
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: UDP
Port: 5060
Registar Server: {same settings like proxy server}
I've to mention that while i was trying to make it work, i downloaded GizmoVoip (without success), but when I tried Truphone (www.truphone.com) it did work. So what i did was to copy exactly the same profile (SIP Settings->Options->Add new->Use an existing profile->Truphone-home) and with that i created a new profile. After that I changed the config to match my asterisk and....IT'VE WORKED!!!!
So, the conclution: I think the problem i was experiecing was due to a missconfig in the "proxy server address" or "Public user name", I'm not sure if I was putting the "sip:" at the beginning (i made to many tests that i can't remember). If that was the mistake then it seems like the Nokia N80 was not even trying to connect to the server and that was the reason why I was not seeing any packet coming from the phone with the sniffer.
I hope this info will be useful for everyone.
