[Solved] What font does Termite use as default?

I have used Termite for a little while, and I loved the minimalistic font it used. But when I installed the ttf-dejavu package, it changed to a different font.
The text in the two left-most terminals have the fonts before installing dejavu: http://i.imgur.com/jz9qjMM.png
The font in the config says Monospace 9, and writing fc-match monospace, I get "DejaVuSansMono.ttf: "DejaVu Sans Mono" "Book""
So what is the name of the font that it used initially, before I installed dejavu?
Thanks.

Thanks, I found it: it is actuall Terminus! But with size 8 instead of 10...
I didn't know fonts could scale like that. I mean it scales without being anti-aliased, keeps being pixel-perfect.

  • What font does iTunes use for inserts??

I know it uses Lucida Grande for iTunes itself, but what font does it use when printing out a jewel case insert? I have a project that is a gift and want the fonts on the iTunes insert to match what I am putting together for the spines.

    Still looking if anyone knows.

  • Is there a way to "see" what font you're using?

    Hi,
I'm a bit new to PAGES. I thought when you turn "Show Invisibles" you would see things like what font you're using . . . if it's bold or underlined or italicized - things like that - you would see these characteristics in the body of the document. So if I were writing a paragraph and changed the font in the middle of it, I could actually "see" a symbol indicating the font had been changed. That way, if you wanted to change it back, you could just delete that "invisible" symbol, and change it.
WORD seems to work like that. Is there a way to "see" these symbold in PAGES?
    Thanks,
    Larry

Thank you, Barry. At least you've confirmed what I thought
Interesting that WORD (which I hate) does such a nice job in this area. When you want to "see" invisible symbols - WORD shows them all to you. I thought it was nice to see exactly 'where' in the document a different font or style might start - that way you can eliminate it there - or change it there - etc. But PAGES, won't even show you. Wonder why they only show you 'some' invisible files?
    Thanks, though, for your reply.

  • I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC that uses an external storage device to a new PC (Windows 7) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with new iTunes 11.  How do I do this??  What folder does iTunes use?

I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC (Windows Vista Home Basic) that uses an external storage device to store the files to a new PC (Windows 7 Starter) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with the new iTunes 11.  How can I accomplish this successfully?    What folder does iTunes use to store the data in?  I've tried several things.  Home Sharing caused duplicates but not all songs or apps transfered.  It is a large library! I've tried just setting the path in the Advanced Tab of iTunes preferences of the new computer with the external drive connected the same as the path when the external drive is connected to the old computer.  This was the best solution so far but still a few artists missing and some apps. Any suggestions?

Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
With iTunes 11 you might also have a Home Videos folder inside iTunes Media.
In the simplest cases you copy the entire iTunes folder from <User's Music> on the source computer to <User's Music> on the target machine, install iTunes, and it "just works"TM.
If the media folder (inside the red outline) has been split out to a separate location then you can copy the library folder (outside the red outline) as before and connect the drive holding the media so that it has exactly the same path as before. If the drive appears as D: on one system and E: on the other then the library won't be able to find the media.
The crucial file is iTunes Library.itl - this contains a record of the tracks that have been added to the library, ratings, play counts, playlists etc.

  • What font did Adobe use for the Layer names and context bar (OSX PS CS1)?

I have a problem with my Snow Leopard install. When I disabled the font protection of OSX, to install the full Helvetica Neue set (not just the limited DFont set in OSX), I damaged something. All text in Photoshop CS1 that is used in the input fields of the context bar, and for the names of layers, paths etc is wrong. As text is too big now, the program is harder to use.
What font is normally used in these locations? I need to know what files to put back.

    Things change.
Adobe changes things that don't really need changing so they can call it a new .0 version and sell it for a bunch of money.  They also change things to follow modern trends in UI design.
Sometimes, they want to push other tools to do some of the things Photoshop used to do.  This is so they can make even more money by selling more products!
Have you been through every intermediate version, or are you making a several version jump?  I ask because the total amount of change in each .0 version has been manageable.  And I personally feel the changes have been worth the money, though perhaps just barely.  That's the key in business.

  • I'd like to get your opinion: POLL: What font do you use?

    People,
I am curious to know what font you guys use for text in your various corporate projects? I'v used Helvetica for years, as it is corporate and clean, but I am looking for others.
POLL: What font do you use - let's say for corporate brochure/annual reports texts?

    Jack,
You may also have a look at some of the font talks in the Typography forum, or start a thread there; among the latest was this one: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?128@@.ef602ce.59b709a5
Obviously, the wrapping should fit the contents.
When all is said, I still prefer the fairest font.

  • What tools does Microsoft use to mock UI interfaces, flowchart, use cases, and UML diagrams?

I have searched google, but was not able to find article or blogs to answer this question. The questions asked here are very old. So I think this is a very relevant question today.
We are a .NET group and we to update how we storyboard our application development. What tools does Microsoft use to mock UI interfaces, flowcharts, and use cases? Specifically for projects that are either C# .NET MVC 5 and above (looking forward to
    vNext).
In the past, power point was able to do some of these things, but it seems it has been deprecated? Does Visio use these things? Also, is Visual Studio's 2013 UML diagram any good or is there another tool in Microsoft's bag of goodies that has more options?
I have read about blend, but it does not seem to be .NET MVC specific.
Again, this is asking about what tools Microsoft teams usually use to storyboard as our team would like to mimic the more contemporary processes. We are in the process of upgrading our .NET applications and feel it is time to update our workflow process
    as well.
Any book recommendations on TFS 2013 and agile are welcomed as well.

  • What Font Did I Use?

New to LiveType, only used it a few days. Quick question: how can I find out what font I used? I still have the project. I just can't tell what font name I used. I see the text in the Inspector, but if I select it an dlook at the fonts tab it doesn't highlight the font that I used. Any way to tell what was used? I'm new at this...
    Thanks,
    Scott

Highlight the text track and look in the Inspector > Text pane.

  • [SOLVED] What exactly does gcc's -Os do with the code?

    Hey all,
The application that sets my statusbar in DWM, written in C, recently starting segfaulting after I changed the code (commit). I initially traced it down to being that I specify -Os to gcc in the Makefile (without that, it runs fine) and then I traced it to the perc variable in get_battery. If I stop sprintf'ing that into buf, it also doesn't segfault.
This made me start digging through the gcc documentation and now I'm stuck with two questions:
    1. What does -Os do exactly with my code? I.e., does it only reduce the size of the binary (how?) or does it also do some optimization as -O1/2/3?
    2. Is another optimizer (-O3) "better" than -Os? The code runs fine with this, for example.
Thanks in advance for your insights!

@Karol: yes, I read that, but it doesn't really clarify (to me at least) what it does with the code or why this could cause a segfault.
    @Hiciu: Here is the output:
    Starting program: /home/jente/projecten/dwmst/./dwmst
warning: no loadable sections found in added symbol-file system-supplied DSO at 0x7ffff7ffa000

    (gdb) print perc
No symbol table is loaded. Use the "file" command.
It doesn't seem to be segfaulting with perc, but rather in my call to XStoreName... strange. Especially strange because before I restructured my code, it never segfaulted with -Os. I will double check my commit to see if I changed something...
@Trilby: Indeed I think it's there from when I forked this from you - at least, I don't remember adding it myself. I'm also questioning now why one would have that, if it doesn't optimize the program anyway.
@jdarnold: Yes, I compile my code with both -Wall and -Wextra. Here are all the options I pass to gcc in the Makefile:
CFLAGS = -Os -pedantic -Wall -Wextra -Wno-format-zero-length
Those -Wno-format-zero-length I added just to supress warnings about sprintf'ing an empty string into buf, when for example I have no music player running.
I guess I will just remove -Os, but I'm still curious as to why it is causing a segfault.

  • What criteria does AP use to determine a duplicate when importing?

Does it use the Version name, the exact date and time, a unique identifier, the original sequence name? I would like to be able to import in one or two goes a large number of mixed old pictures some of which have previously been imported. Can I do this safely by using the avoid duplicate import function?
    Thanks, Floor

It goes by file name I believe. It's not overly sophisticate, and it's not perfect. Mostly it's designed to prohibit duplicates when you import twice from the same card to the same project.
I don't think it will work for your use case -- trying to avoid dupes when you merge two projects or lots of things from lots of places.

  • What font do you use in your terminal emulator?

I was using terminus, but I found it too thin for my tastes (or maybe for my bad eyes...) so I sought around and I read many persons like the Microsoft's Consolas and I have to say that it is indeed very nice. Probably MS should stop doing OSes and start drawings fonts only...
And so I wondered, what do you use? IMO a terminal font should be, readable, monospaced (doh) and a little thick.
Of course if you do not use the terminal this post is not for you.

I never saw this particular font, but I second that, fonts is the only thing MS do well imo

  • What exactly does the MasterPageFile="~masterurl/default.master" in the page mean?

    Hi Everyone,
I want to create a site definition that use my own master page in the homepage (VS2012 + SP2010). When the site definition is created, there are already codes in the default.aspx page that simply display a string in the body. And the page refers to a
    master page at ~masterurl/default.master.
My question is, where exactly does ~masterurl point to? I want to use my own master page to replace it, but when I change it to any other location rather than
~masterurl/default.master, it gives me an error saying file not found.
So could anyone tell me how can I use my own master page in the default.aspx page? I tryied to place my master page file in the LAYOUTS folder and refer to it using
MasterPageFile="_layouts/site.master" but it does not work, either.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cavendish Feng

    Taken from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ms476046(v=office.12).aspx
    Dynamic token "~masterurl/default.master"
This token references a master page from a content page by using the MasterPageFile attribute together with the value of the MasterUrl property.
As an example, in the following page directive, <%@ Page MasterPageFile="~masterurl\default.master"%>, the token "~masterurl/default.master" is replaced at run time by the value in the MasterUrl property.
This property contains the server-relative full path to the master page, including file name.
Notice the article is talking about these dynamic tokens which are automatically substituted at runtime. Which is what you're seeing.
Static tokens are explained here; http://rehmangul.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/master-pages-in-sharepoint/
basically you have to be careful what path you're specifying, depending on the location of the page.

  • *** How do I FIND OUT WHAT Font we are using???*****

I did a past and copy and I really liked the font - I did a right click to open fonts and went back and forth between the fonts that I had and the font that got pasted and the FONT box did not show what the FONT names were.
Any idea on how to find this out?
    Thanks

I am asked that often by my publisher friends.
All you have to do is DRAG down the FONT box so it shows more fonts.
Right now you probably have it on it's "default" size (show fonts), but if you enlarge the show font box, and then go "back and forth" between the two fonts, you will see the fonts that the program is using.
    Hope this helps.
    Frankii
If the copy is from the internet, 9 times out of 10 it is going to be Arial or Verdana.

  • What fonts do you use for Opera?

I just reinstalled and some fonts look just plain silly in Opera- Like this website's menu at the top right corner.
So what are your font settings? I'll steal them.

Perhaps you already know, but two important things are:
    1) disable X core fonts in opera about:config;
    2) uninstall from your system ttf-ms-fonts because opera wants to use them also if you tell it not to use them.
