Where is the damned tools menu????
Your utter stupidity is just beyhond my understanding

I am not sure what you are upset about, it's all right there in front of you nothing hidden. It is simply an option on the way the toolbars are displayed, if you don't like one way do it another or select customize and make it the way you want.
And I would think if you have been using Mozilla browsers that long you would have realized by now the toolbars can be modified.

  • (SOLVED) where does the xorg server gets the Composite file from?

I'd like to see the list of composite combinations. Seeking on the Internet I understand that the file should be:
    /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose
Where en_US.UTF-8 is my locale, but according to that file:
    <Multi_key> <underscore> <o>         : "ō"   U014D # LATIN SMALL LETTER O WITH MACRON
I should obtain the small letter o with the macro using multi_key underscore and o. Instead I obtain this: º.
    Same problem with the
    <Multi_key> <c> <o>                  : "ǒ"   U01D2 # LATIN SMALL LETTER O WITH CARON
If I press the keys I obtain: ©, the copyright sign...
So... Where does the arch xorg got its Compose file? Change I change its behavior?
    Thanks.

I ignored that is was an application side issue, thanks for explanation. And indeed I was using lxterminal: the terminal emulator of lxde that is based on GTK. Using the xim input system everywhere solved the problem.
People! Listen! Put this two lines in your .xinitrc :
    . /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
    export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
    export QT_IM_MODULE=xim
    exec whatever you use
    Thanks! Cheers!

  • Photoshop CC video: Where is the audio flyout menu? I want to set the audio level of a clip but when I click the little triangle the flyout only offers Motion options, no audio.

I created a video clip by ripping from a (non-protected) DVD & brought it into Photoshop CC for editing. I want the audio to fade in & out but cannot find any audio controls!
The info I've found online says to click the little triangle at the right end of the clip & I should get the audio flyout menu, but all I get is a menu with "Motion" options.
Please help!! Where are the audio options I see on the tutorials?
    Thanks ...

The audio was indeed in there; I could hear it! But I found the fix:
Some Googling revealed that the timeline video sprites should appear *blue*, not purple as in my screenshot. I'm not sure how that happened, but I scrapped the project & restarted from scratch - and though I can't say what I did differently, this time the video sprite in the timeline was blue, and the audio flyout was there! So it's all good, thanks!

  • HT201250 (1) Where is the "Time Machine menu" and the choice to "Enter Time Machine" (mentioned in the "Restoring data from Time Machine backups" section)?

    1) Where do I find the "Time Machine menu" and the choice to "Enter Time Machine" (as mentioned in the "Restoring data from Time Machine backups" section in the Mac Support article "Mac Basics: Time Machine")?
    2) How would I restore e.g. a particular photo from a backup I made with Time Machine? I can see how this is done with Word documents, but can't see how to do it with photos?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    1. The Time Machine icon is on the menu bar.
    2. If you want to do that with individual photos, it's the same way as for documents. If you want to do it with iPhoto, you have to restore the whole iPhoto library, not only one photo

  • HT3500 Where is the base station menu?

Trying to connect my Lexmark prospect pro250 to my new Airport Extreme over wi fi... I read that I should go into the airport utility and find "add wi fi printer" from the base station menu... But this option doesn't show up.  When I click on the pic of my Airport Extreme there is an edit button that opens to what looks like a base station menu but no options for adding anything except "Back to my Mac".  Can anyone help?

You are likely confusing the Base Station menu (top of screen) with the Base Station tab (center of screen)
When you click on the AirPort Extreme icon and then click Edit.......follow the instructions to click on the Base Station menu.
That would be at the very top of the computer screen up where the other menus are located.....File, Edit, Window Help, etc.

  • ASA5510: where is the startup-config stored?

    Hi,
i'm new to cisco's asa and trying to get used to it. it's not a real problem i have, which detains me from productive work but i'm just snoopy about this. on my cisco 871, when i do a
    dir nvram:
i see a file called startup-config. but i can not find it on my asa 5510. i have a disk0-1:, flash: and system: but nowhere a startup-config. but it must be somewehre because a
    copy tftp startup-config
is working somehow and does what i expect. furthermore, where are the cryptographic keys stored. the same issue. i can not find them. maybe someone of you is able to point me to this. thanks.
    ct,

The startup configuration for single mode or for the system in multiple context mode is a hidden file in flash memory. From within a context, the location of the startup configuration is specified by the config-url command. For example, if you specify an HTTP server for the config-url command and then enter the copy startup-config running-config command, the security appliance copies the startup configuration from the HTTP server using the admin context interface.
Also check the details about the commands "copy" and "configure-url" in the links below: 1)COPY--http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/command/reference/c4.html#wp2104587
    2)CONFIGURE-URL----http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/command/reference/c4.html#wp2100481

  • Where is the "General Options" menu?

Hi, I'm a new Blackberry user and I just purchased a Pearl 8110. I noticed that when I place a call, my number comes up as "Private" or "Unknown" to the person receiving the call. I looked it up in the manual and it said to go to the "General Options" menu from the options menu. Guess what, my phone doesn't have a "General Options" menu!! Has anyone else seen this issue? before I contact support I figured I'd check with you guys. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  • Where is the Terminal config file?

    Hello,
I am trying to add a simple alias as a default to Terminal. Where is the configuration file? I can't find it anywhere.
    Thanks!

Hopefully you are talking about the Shell's initialization file, where the default shell is 'bash'
    Bash looks for
    $HOME/.bash_profile
    $HOME/.bash_login
    $HOME/.profile
in that order, and stops looking after finding the first one.
If you are using a different shell, then the shell initialization file will be different.
This is totally independent of the Terminal, as you could also be using a different terminal emulator, such as iTerm, or an X11 xterm emulator.  You might be remotely logged in via ssh from a Windows, Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-UX, etc... system where they are using a totally different terminal emulator.

  • Where is the standard context menu in IE?

Is the standard IE context menu (cut/copy/paste etc) completely disabled in CE? If I right click an inputfield I can only get usersettings (which I don't want, so they're disabled using administrator ctrl-right click).
After disabling user personalization I now get no menu at all if I right click an object. I can see that the event get caught by the portal.
I really want the standard context menu! Please help!
    Regards
    Carl

Yes, the browser menu has been replaced completely. You can use keyboard shortcuts for cut/copy/paste.

  • [SOLVED] Where's the default xmobar config?

I searched all over the Wiki and the xmobar site and couldn't find it. I wanted to know if there is a default configuration file for xmobar (the one that is used if there is no ~/.xmobarrc). It has the workspaces on the left, the current window title to the right of that, and the date and time (red) + operating system (green) on the right side.
    Thanks

schen wrote:Why don't you just use xmobarrc? Also, it seems it's only configurable with "command-line options" or xmobarrc.
I wanted to see if I could copy what I was already using to make a ~/.xmobarrc and add to it. It turns out that the command line options were being passed in my ~/.xmonad/xmonad.hs, so I guess that makes this thread solved...

  • [SOLVED] Where did the arrows on the scrollbars go?

I'm currently using Cinnamon (Gnome 3) with the default Adwaita theme.  It's the base install that I haven't customized anything to.
One of my first problems was the lack of the up and down arrows on the top and bottom of the scrollbar -- ie like in Firefox and Gnome Terminal
I was able to add the arrows within Firefox by modification of the /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-2.0/gtkrc file and specifically changing the sections:
        GtkScrollbar::has-backward-stepper        = 1
        GtkScrollbar::has-forward-stepper        = 1
Although this solved my lack of arrows with Firefox, I still don't have any up/down arrows in programs like gnome shell and within the file manager.  Is there any suggestion on where I can make a modification to add these?  Gnome Tweak Tool didn't really help.

I had been modifying the global /usr setting.
This is the best solution I have found - in the users home directory!
Pick up your changes without logging out:
    Close terminal window
    Hit ALT-F2
    type restart
    hit enter

  • Where is the store dropdown menu in Itunes to authorize my computer?  It's not showing up.

Allegedly there is a dropdown menu on ITunes under "store" where I can authorize a new computer.  I have none - there is no dropdown menu appearing.

For a computer running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
For a computer running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

  • Where is the autoplacer function / menu in Ultiboard 9 ????

Hello, I am using Multisim and Ultiboard 9 and I am looking fo the AUTOPLACER function where the program wil automatically place the components on the circuit board for you...however I can't find this menu/function anywhere? I am using the Power Pro version. Also, is there a way to put the Auto route functions in the main menu at the top of the window? Right now all I have is two little 'Icons" in toolbar form, one to start the internal router and one to stop it...but again, no autoplacer. Thanks
    Brian

In V9, the router that comes with Ultiboard is limited to 2 layers.  The Ultiroute version that is sold separately gives you more layers and if you purchased the power pro, it has the autoplacer in there.
In V10, if you installed the power pro version of Ultiboard, it will have the autolacer in there.
