Well then maybe you could take a screenshot because the appearance of such a window is news to me.
Also post your OS X version and what model Mac you have. The more detail, the better. Thanks.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse or trackpad. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

Repeated ORA-12547 Messages after installing Oracle 10g

Hi,
I installed Oracle 10g on a Redhat ES 3 box, and the install went okay, but when I try and interact with the server I get the message:
ORA-12547: TNS: lost contact
For example, if I use the Database Configuration Assistant to attempt to create a database, I will see the above message when it begins the database creation process, or if I try to interact with the Oracle server using sqlplus I will see the above message after each command entered.
I had recently tried to install Oracle 8.1.7 on the same box, but abandoned that after deciding that the effort required to link Oracle 8 on RHES3 just wasn't worth it. I have been told that this previous partial installation may be the cause of the problem, and have been advised to uninstall Oracle 8, uninstall Oracle 10g, and reinstall Oracle 10g. I find it hard to believe that it would require such an action to solve this problem. Is there any configuration changes I can make to resolve it? Also, what does this message actually mean?
I am new to Oracle, so thanks for any help with this problem.

My problem sounds like it may be similar problem to a recent posting by Hugo Ferrer - but my Spanish isn't good enough to fully understand Hugo's problem. Anyways, I am new to Oracle, so thanks for any help with this problem.

CJS-20003 Error Message when installing anything on the portal

Hi there,
whenever I try to install anything on my EP6SP8, I get this nasty error message.
CJS-20003 While adding instance G00: An instance already exists with that number and a different name or SID: PEP/DVEBMGS00.
So far I tried to install EP6SP9, EP6SP11, JAVA WAS SP 11, I uninstalled TREX and tried to install TREX 6.1 again --> always comes this error.
What is wrong here?
Your help is really appreciated and will surely be rewarded (at least with points).

Small steps first...
The installer you use MUST come with the media you wish to install. With patches you get a sapinst along with the patch (for Web AS, EP, and TREX certainly). FOr instance with Web AS you get 4 sar files - these combine to form the whole patch kit. You cannot just take one part of the kit and use it with an existing sapinst you already have on your system.
If you are using install media and choose "Default" for your settings you likely get this as Default settings are usefull only for the first install, after that you need to use the gui to pick your system numbers so you do not have conflicts.

Trying to update with the latest drivers didn't do me any good.
HP has the worst software and horrible update instructions.

I found I had to specifically delete the offending file "hpPlugInInit.kext" before I no longer received that error message.
HP also has this firmware update:

There are no instructions telling me if this has or has not been included in my printer.

Error message after installing latest FlashPlayerPlugin

After installing FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe with the downloaded install file install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe when I open Firefox and go to another tab I get this error message:
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000710) occurred in the application at location 0x.......... (this is different each time) Click OK to terminate the program.
I do this and everything seems to work OK but I keep getting the error message each time I open Frirefox and move to different pages.
What can I do to fix this problem?

Error message after installing external zip drive

After installing a replacement zip drive (and accompanying software from CD), I'm confronted with a periodic error message advising that hardware has not been closed properly disk ejected prior to removal? I'm not removing anything--the zip disk is remaining in the external drive. I've turned off all power, rebooted and reinserted USB connections and the error message keeps coming up periodically. Iomega web site isn't much help. An suggestions, please. Thanks.

I made the copies on a suggetion that the original may be scratched or something so I figured what the heck? I did format the hard drive though. It is a Seagate 500gb hard drive. I only formatted the whole drive and figured that the restore disks would make the additional partition.
Aside from that, it's the same error message that I had on the original drive. The original drive and OS works (Vista), but I wanted to restore it because I just wanted to wipe everything and start clean. What can be causing the error message, and what IS the error message?
Anymore suggestions or help would be great as I am in desperate need of getting my computer back to working.

Error message after installing an AMD Phenom II quad core processor

1. HP Pavilion Slimline s5120y Desktop PC
2. Windows 7 64-bit
3. "Uncompatible processor installed, shutting down in a few seconds"
4. I replaced the AMD Athlon X2 7750 processor with an AMD Phenom II quad core processor
I had done some research on upgrading my son's computer's processor from an AMD Athlon X2 7750 processor to an AMD Phenom II quad core processor. I checked the compatible processors on the HP website and it showed that the AMD Phenom II quad core processor would be supported. The specs for the Phenom II I bought are: 95 watt / 2.4 GHz / quad core / hyper transport technology / AM2+ socket / integrated DDR memory controller / HD9750XAJ4BGH.
After installing the processor (with thermal paste) I booted up the computer and the message: "Uncompatible processor installed, shutting down in a few seconds" showed up. I tried again and the same thing. Is this processor NOT compatible with this computer or is something else going on?

Please discuss this under desktop catagory for better suggestions and quicker resolution. thank you

Error message after installing 10.8.2 update

After installing the osx 10.8.2 update the mok resrtarts and give a error message: "the update could no be installed" or so. As I look up in the system info the update appears al isnatlled. Why?

I'm another user with same issue, started right after the upgrade, appears consistently with login/out, sleep/wake, rarely otherwise.

Keep getting error 2 message after installing iTunes9

When trying to install the new iTunes I keep getting this error message after installation:
*Apple Application Support was not found.*
*Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes, Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.*

I don't know how to fix this. I have tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall. I don't understand how to fix this problem. From previous posts, I can't figure out where to go on my computer.
