Some Access Forms getting an error

I used OMWB to extract the DDL and data from an Access app to an Oracle 10g database -- works well!. I also allowed the OMWB to update the access app to convert the local tables into linked tables -- also worked well!
My question is this: While I can open the linked tables by double clicking on them in the tables tab in Access, I cannot open the form built on the table. I get an error stating 'You can't go to the specified record'.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to look at/for? About half of the forms open fine and the others don't. I've looked for any pattern of what's different, but haven't found on.
Thanks for any insights/suggestions....

A couple of new facts that maybe will help in a solution:
1. I used OMWB to migrate and load tables from Access 2003 to Oracle 10g.
2. I used OMWB to change Access to use a database link to access the newly created tables.
3. I can insert data into all tables in Oracle from sql*plus.
4. I can insert data into SOME of the tables in Oracle from Access through the linked table.
5. I cannot insert data into SOME of the tables in Oracle from Access through the linked table.
6. I am using the same user for the ODBC connection for all tables
What would cause two tables that are the same in nature (no fk, no nothing) to behave differently.
Any ideas why the differing behavior?

  • Direct Access client getting NameResolutionFailure error

    Hi,
I'm trying to setup Direct Access on a Windows 2012 R2 server and I'm running into what is hopefully a pretty easy problem to resolve.
I've followed the instructions to setup a simple setup for DA on a Windows 2012 R2 server with everything all on one server and I'm running behind a TMG 2010 server.  On the TMG server I've published the my DA server using a server publishing rule
    based on these instructions
    http://danstoncloud.com/blogs/simplebydesign/archive/2013/04/04/tmg-can-be-a-good-friend-of-directaccess.aspx
The setup seems pretty straight forward, but now when I'm testing my clients I'm getting the NameResolutionFailure error when I try and connect when I'm not on our internal network.
The problem I'm pretty sure is DNS related because when my test Windows 8.1 client is on our internal network everything works fine.
When I plug the machine into an external network, I get the NameResolutionFailure error for the DA client. If I try and ping anything address on our domain name I get an error that the address is unresolvable.  I can ping any other domain name address fine.
On my DA server, on the DNS tab of the Infrastructure Server setup I have the following entries:
    mydomain.com              fdf3:137e:5133:ce07:1000::127
    directaccess.mydomain.com
    DirectAccess-NLS.mydomain.com
directaccess.mydomain.com is the publicly resolvable name of my DA 2012 R2 server that is bound the external IP address published on my TMG 2010 server.  This name is not resolvable when on any internal machines.
If I execute the get-DNSClientNRPTPolicy command I get this:

So I'm thinking that the issue is related to the fact that the NRPT table says that directaccess.mydomain.com address there is no DNS specified.  In fact it seems like that entry shouldn't even be there.  When I was configuring DA for the first
time, I got a warning that said:
Warning: The NRPT entry for the DNS suffix .serverdomain.local contains the public name used by client computers to connect to the Remote Access server. Add the name Servername.serverdomain.local as an exemption in the NRPT.
I wasn't sure what this meant at the time but I'm guessing it's relevant to this problem.
Can some one give some help with this?
    Thanks in advance
    Nick

    Hi,
So here is what I did.  First the IP information from my DA server IPHTTPS address from ipconfig /all
    Tunnel adapter IPHTTPSInterface:
       Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
       Description . . . . . . . . . . . : IPHTTPSInterface
       Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0
       DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
       Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
       IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : fdfd:1374:5130:1000::1(Preferred)
       IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : fdfd:1374:5130:1000::2(Preferred)
       IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : fdfd:1374:5130:1000:2400:8f5a:a931:1ff8(Preferred)
       Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::2400:8f5a:a931:1ff8%17(Preferred)
       Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
       DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 436207616
       DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-1A-4F-8E-38-00-15-5D-00-96-05
       NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled
So the address of my IPHTTPS address appears to be -S using this address as the source and going to an internal machine with an IPV6 address and got this:
    tracert -S fdfd:1374:5130:1000:2400:8f5a:a931:1ff8 testserver

So it looks like from the IPHTTPS address I can't get to any internal IPV6 addresses on my internal IPV6 network I think right?  I did a route print on the DA server and got this:

  • When i try and download some items i get the error message that that say that the download can't continue because i need a later version of Firefox I have 5.0 currently installed on my PC. one such download was the Google toolbar

I have a dell 320 optiplex 1.80 GHz. as stated above when I try and download certain items i get an error message essentially telling me that my version of Firefox is not compatible with ?(item i'm trying to download) the most recent was Google toolbar. the irony of it all is that I have version 5.0 installed so not unless I miss something when I initially installed Firefox 5.0 would be the latest version

If you don't already have the "Google Toolbar" why would you want it, it is a problematic extension as are most third party toolbars. I would expect that anything that just about anything that you would use it for can be done with a bookmarklet. As for searching, the builtin Firefox search bar is wonderful you can add or create search engines for it.
Google Toolbar (the second link tells you how you run it)

  • Dreamweaver CS6 - ftp stops on some files or get permission errors

Just installed DW CS6 version 12.0 build 5861 yesterday on windows 8.1. The FTP connects & will upload some files but stalls with images. An example is an image called gov_logo.jpg . It is only 27kb but it stalls with only part of image on server. This is not the only problem image. Time-out is set to 60 seconds & the image will upload with a different ftp client as my host has checked & tested it. I have seen lots of so called fixes & have tried all but have noticed this issue is unresolved for lots of people. Could someone please help.
    Thanks Chris

    Hi Nancy,
I have used DW since DW MX back when it was Macromedia, then upgraded to Studio 8 & they worked well. Macromedia even did some trouble shooting for me & I'm just one of the small guys. Adobe on the other hand seem to leave you high & dry.
this just seems absurd(I'm not getting at you). I had researched these products from their respective sites before purchase. Yes it does seem that it's a win8.1 issue yet Adobe is selling their DWcs6 saying it works fine on 8.1 & obviously it doesn't properly. Just the posts in this website clearly show that it's not a one off issue & there are plenty of other forums & websites stating this issue. For anyone else that may & will have this same issue there seems to be no resolution & you may as well throw your DWcs6 & your windows 8.1 computer in the bin & kiss goodbye to a few thousand dollars for those products & a few more for the work you lose. It seems Adobe & Microsoft don't care about small clients & loosing them won't effect their bottom line, they are too big for that.
This link shows Microsoft's clarifying the compatibility of 8.1 & DW cs6  Windows Compatibility Center: dreamweaver
This link shows Adobe saying the same thing  Windows 8.1 compatibility FAQs | CC, CS6, Acrobat
In my opinion both of these links have misrepresented their products joint compatibility & this is what I went off before forking out the $$.
This link shows just a small fraction of people complaining about windows 8.1 WinInet issue including DW cs6 users.  FtpOpenFile and InternetWriteFile broken/changed in IE11 | Microsoft Connect.
Once again thanks to you Nancy & bregent for taking the time to assist me, as without you guys similar problems people have could take a huge toll on them. Keep it up.  :-)
Is there a direct contact for Adobe? Or is this forum it? As I might have to buy a Mac & swap the windows version of DW cs6 to the Mac version. Or would you reccomend another way around it?
    Cheers Chris

    How this can be fixed
    regards

I encountered this issue with Win 7 but fixed it by doing the following: Open up AVG and then click on Tools / Advanced settings. On the bottom of the list should be AVG Security Toolbar, click on it. There should be an option to Repair the toolbar.

  • When I install some drivers I get multiple error messages in CM15

When I was upgrading Mozilla and a Bamboo writing pad I got multiple errors.
Unable to write to system extension @
    "/System/Library/Extensions/CM15.
Using a fully updated Intel Core Duo 2GHz.
    2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Software Version 10.6.7

Neither product are Apple products, I'd suggest contacting the manufacturers of each product. Apple products normally do not need driver's downloaded like a Windows machine. You should see if the version of their products on your machine is the most-up-to-date for your configuration. If it is then the driver updates are not necessary however if they are not then you need to update the version of their software because any drivers will be incorporated in the latest version.

  • On some pages I get an error in yellow at the top "This page requires a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode" with an option to restart; how do I find which plugin this applies to and/or disable this message for the given plugin?

I don't want to restart in 32-bit mode unless absolutely required, and even if I need to I want to track down and replace the involved plugin with a 64-bit version if I can. There should be a 'more information' or similar button instead of just 'Restart in 32-bit mode' being the only prominent option.

Look to see if you have an app called Browser Plus from Yahoo. I uninstalled it because it said it isn't compatible with Firefox 4 & up. Thus far that error hasn't returned.

  • I get this error message when I save some files "sty is null"

When I try to save some files I get an error message that says Unable to initialize the UI, sty is null. It happens mostly when saving files to an Aaptorefromtdotnet e commerce web site. If I click OK either it file saves or I get a second error message, exactly like above only with the added Prevent this page from creating additional settings. A check box is beside it. If I click in the check box and then OK, the file saves, but when using other options on the website, Firefox crashes.
Please let me know what this is and how do I eliminate it?

When i enter the values in the form and press the apply button.
    I get the following error:
Row 1 Error - Row validation method failed for row with key oracle.jbo.Key[445 ] in CustomerAM.CustomerVO1
when i press apply again i get this error:

I noticed that that when i press the apply button, the processFormRequest() is not called but the First error is shown.
When i press apply the second time, the processFormRequest() is called and the second error is shown.

Actually there is no detailed error stack being shown. Its just that the error comes at the top of the page.
Also in my case ,i open the same form in some other mode also, where some of the fields are added and some are hidden. But in that case i get no such error.
Is there some way to get the error stack?
Also i have 2 more fields First Name and Last Name in the form mode where the error is occuring, which are not linked to any VO, but i use them to calculate the Full Name, which is linked to the VO and this Full name field is Disabled. Could this cause any problem?

  • I can see the pitcure in my folder but I get an error message when I pull up the picture

I can see the pictures in my iPhoto folders but when I click on them to access, I get an error message.
How can I pull these up?

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I resolved the problem in Snow Leopard by logging out of my (admin) account and logging into my daughter's account on the same machine. She doesn't have admin privileges, so when I tried to install Firefox 4 in her account, I had to authenticate with my admin identity and PW. Installation went smoothly after that. My guess is that you could also simply create a new account on the same machine and install Firefox 4 from that. I have no idea why this works.
