Some actions don't work in photoshop cc 2015

I researched this subject but without success.
I can't understand why the program (photoshop CC 2015) takes some actions as margin placement, but don't assume simple things such as color balance, contrast or levels.
Someone can explain me this? I'm already disappointed with this version.

Upgrades exist to improve and that's what I expected, and your observation does not answer my question, by the way.

Some links don't work in Safari

I ran a whole bunch of software updates a while ago (funny, after the entire process, nothing actually updated... I had to run it again later), and somehow, in the process, something went wrong with Safari. Now, some links don't work. It's mostly links in the content portions of webpages. For example, things like the Store/Mac/etc buttons at the top of the Apple site work fine, but things like links in forum signatures don't. I have to open them in a new tab. I tried updating Safari, but it didn't fix anything. I've tested Firefox and Camino and they work fine, but Safari is my browser of choice, so this is pretty irritating. Any ideas as to what's causing this and how to fix it?

You might try installing a fresh version of SafariStand and see if you still have the problem with dead links. I'm not familiar with the 'Quick Search' feature but you could have a look at Glims. Don't try to run both Glims and SafariStand together.

I have spotty signal at my home, so some functions don't work until I leave the house. I noticed on the main screen, it says I have 54 emails, but when I open the app, I only have 4. I powered down and back up. No fix. What gives?

Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".
Anyone help you with your fix yet?

After upgrade to os 4 some apps don't work including Apple Store

Upgrade went ok, but took long time. Some apps don't work correctly or crash. e.g. Apple Store app just recycles back to main screen. Starbucks app works for a few seconds then crashes.

I had same problems.
I decided to "downgrade" back to OS3. You can too!

Some sounds don't work in Logic for me

Hi. I'm running Logic 9 on a 2010 13 inch MacBook Pro 2.4 ghz 4 GB OSX 10.6.7. Logic works perfect for me except that every now and then a few select sounds do not work. In fact, they do not load and cause my Logic to freeze and crash. It is very frustrating because the sounds that do not work are dispersed randomly and I forget which one not to click and then my entire project is lost. I can give you some of the sounds that I know off the top of my head that cause logic to crash: Orchestra>Choir>Chamber Ensemble, Gregorian Ensemble. I noticed this folder around half don't work and then other folders 1 or 2 sounds don't work. I would say that it's only about 1% of the entire library.
I'm pretty sure it is not a memory problem because the files selected are no bigger than other files I select. I thought that the files might have been corrupted somehow, so I actually reinstalled Logic 3 times, but I get the same problem. I downloaded all the updates. I also checked my hard drive and there are no problems with it. My only guess is that somehow the discs I bought did not get manufactured 100% correctly and some files did not get burned on properly. I don't see how only a few select files wouldn't work, but I had bought some blu-rays before where it would freeze at a certain section and I exchanged it for a working copy. Anyone have any leads or suggestions?

Update 2: I just went to the Genius Bar and they gave me a new copy of Logic. I erased and installed my laptop once more just in case and installed Logic Pro. I got the same problem. Deductively, I beleive it's my laptop that is the source of the problem. My laptop is working perfectly fine otherwise though. Any ideas?

Some links don't work in 10.6.5

After upgrading to 10.6.5 I observed that certain links just don't work anymore, f.i. when I click a weblink in my email it should open it automatically in Firefox. Instead nothing happens. I have to manually copy and paste the link into Firefox. Same thing happens within Facebook. It seems as if the system doesn't automatically recognize the browser. Any idea how to fix this? It is annoying!

I have a similar issue on two completely separate Macs since upgrading them to 10.6.5. After a few hours use, links within some web pages, in Safari, will resolve to very random places. For example I click a news article link on the Yahoo home page, and it takes me repeatedly to a monster.com job listing page. Or if I am in Yahoo mail and I clcik Calendar, it takes me right back to yahoo mail and does not open the calendar page. Totally repeatable once this behaviour starts. Tried using Firefox - same exact bugs occur there once this behavior starts.
If I run Cocktail and run the daily, weekly, and monthly scripts, the problem gets instantly fixed, for a few hours, then it eventually comes back. Cocktail always fixes it though.
It appears that some cache, perhaps the whatis or lookup databases, are getting corrupted in 10.6.5, such that links get resolved to the incorrect addresses.
Happens on my MacPro Quadcore i7 as well as a friends MacBook Pro 17, 2009 unibody. BOth started showing this problem on both firefox and safari after the 10.6.5 update.

Some fonts don't work in Lightroom 4.2

I am running Lightroom 4.2 on Windows 7. I also have Photoshop CS6 installed. I am trying to use a font in LR 4 for a text based watermark that I have been using for years in previous versions of LR. The font is Kozuka Gothic Pro (OTF) and it works in Photoshop and Word and everywhere else but LR on my system. Are there specific kinds of fonts that work with LR?

for some unknown reason (unknown to us users...) Open Type Fonts (OTF) cannot be used for text based watermarks (ever since watermarks were introduced in LR3).
I hoped that LR4 would finally resolve this issue but unfortunately it didn't
All True Type Font (TTF) can be used for watermarking.
It would be very nice if Adobe would finally support OTFs in LR...the knowledge about OTF should be there...they co-developed OTF and "by the end of 2002 fnished converting their entire font library to OpenType "

[Solved]Keyboard layout screwed up and some keys don't work

After I reinstalled xorg-server 1.5.3-1 and installed xf86-input-evdev 2.0.1-1 and xf86-input-keyboard 1.3.1-1 some of my keys don't work and keyboard layout screwed up. I had finnish (fi) layout, but now it's "us". Arrows, insert- delete- home- end- pg up- pg down- print screen- scroll lock- pause- keys don't work. All characters behind Alt Gr + "" don't work either.
How to fix this?

Clean Install of Windows 8 & Some buttons Don't Work

I bought this PC with dead Hard Drive. I installed new Drive and Windows 8 from USB.It only installed as 32bit OS and I know it should have been 64bit. Has 4Gb memory installed.Property screen shows: 4.00GB (2.97GB usable)(32bit OS, x64 Processor). Some of my buttons Don't Work nor does my Microphone. I have tried verifying all drivers but none fix buttons. No errors listed in Device Manager. Any help is Appreciated.

Wow that is so a "Canned" response. Can't install Windows7 on a system that never had 7. This unit was made originally for Vista. And even those do not have drivers I could use. Now if there were device manufacturer information you could give me about my unit then maybe I can get the buttons to work. The most important is the Microphone and Volume/mute buttons that need to work then you could help me.The Dell site will give you an exact biuld list when serial or Tag number is provided which help Identify device manufacturer so user can goto their site to get generic drivers to work with their Dell PC regardless of what version of OS is currently installed.So if you can really help here is the PC Info»HP TouchSmart IQ524 Desktop PC

Mail rules work for some users, don't work for others

Ready to pull my hair out over this one:
Leopard to Snow Leopard upgrade went uneventfully, except for the fact that server-side mail rules (accessed via browser at FQDN -> Mail Rules) work for several users (two, to be exact) and don't for the rest (about 15 or so).
The usual culprits have been reviewed: 'Enable Server-Side Mail Rules' is checked in Mail -> Settings -> Filters, 'Allow users to configure server-side mail rules' is checked in Web -> Sites -> Web Services, users can create vacation notices and email rules without issue via browser, permissions look fine on the contents of /Library/Email Rules and /var/spool/imap/dovecot/sieve-scripts, logs give no indication of any foul play (at least the Email Rules -> debug.log generates the same entries for both functional and non-functional users), etc.
I have noticed that /var/spool/imap/dovecot/sieve-scripts contains only two items, which - you guessed it - line up with the GUIDs of the two functional users. Theoretically every user with a rule should be represented here.

I created both a vacation notice and an email rule for several users, thinking that may force the folder creation for those users, but no dice. I even manually created folders for a few users with their GUIDs as the folder names and assigned each user ownership and read/write access. Still nothing. Created a few new test user accounts just to rule out any legacy account weirdness (although it's worth noting that I completely redid the OD and recreated user accounts after the upgrade) and replicated the problem with these, as well. Lastly, used Inspector to compare OD attributes between functional and non-functional accounts, with no glaring differences.
Help!

Did you find an answer? I encounter the same problem on my new MiniServer. Deleted and created all users several times, but just for some accounts mail is working.

Bluetooth Keyboard - Some key don't work

Hi friends,
I have a 2011 (intel based) 27'' iMac with the bluetooth keyboard. I have two non working keys (control and 1).
There's a way to repair it? My iMac doesn't have warranty and I would like to repair it. What can I do??
Note: I remove the key and see everything fine, but still don't work.

Satellite A205-S5843: Unknown WLAN card & some buttons don't work

OK one problem im probably get laughed at the other not
First problem.
I have no idea what a network adapter is.
My first thought is wireless internet because it says it has a wireless card in it but i can only connect to a network and nothing else even in my apartment that has wireless i can only connect to the network...plz help the noob!
Next problem.
Some of my keys will not work... nothing has been spilled on it for i refuse to let any liquid near it for fear of death..
The keys that don't work are the Z, R, Y, the arrow keys, the FN button, and the /? button.
It used to work and now it doesn't one site suggested that i hold the FN key and press the f11 button.
I did and it would work for 5 min or so and then nothing...now the FN don't work and im so confused and angry...this is my college laptop and it really hurts when i have to use the mouse to click the on screen keyboard all the time...plz help

I checked the hardware specifications on the Toshiba US page and it looks like this notebook has been equipped with the Atheros 802.11 b/g wireless-LAN card.

Regarding your keyboard/button issue.
Did you ensure that this is not a software problem?
I mean did you test if the notebooks keyboard/buttons would work using the original preinstalled Toshiba OS image?
In my personal opinion this strange keyboard behavior looks more like more hardware issue as software issue but its worth to check if the new installation would solve your problem
But if you will not notice any improvements then the keyboard should be checked by an authorized service partner.

Also, as you can see my contact page shows up on a google search for "Codiac Printing" but not my index page. How can that be???

andyBall - Thank you so much for the dialog on this issue. I think we have narrowed this down to my router and the openDNS parental control service.
NetGear partners with openDNS. You get a paid OpenDNS account, then the NetGear router downloads a custom generated blacklist/whitelist into the router. You manage the list on the OpenDNS website, then your router pulls down the list and runs the known blacklist/whitelist locally, and then DNS queries go through OpenDNS.
I whitelisted metrics.apple.com and apple.com and everything works in Safari. Remove the whitelist, and it does not work again. OpenDNS also has a bypass application that you can run on the local machine to register your Mac/IP address, and get direct access to the ISP’s DNS bypassing the Netgear routers’s OpenDNS.
It’s funny that all the iOS device in the house work fine on apple.com, all the Firefox installs on PC work fine on apple.com. I even tried changing my Safari user agent settings and still the website version I get from apple.com has these long obscure urls in the default click, but if you right click or turn off JavaScript everything is fine.
I can only assume Apple is serving up some form of website JavaScript to help with website tracking for guest to their website that is specialized for safari. It is most likely that this url link is soooo long it is breaking on my router when it is checking it’s black list, causing the router url check buffer to fail on the router???

IPad 3 iOS 8.0.2 some apps don't work, everything slow

IiPad touch updated to iOS 8.0.2. worse than any of the ios 7 updates. It seems that lately ever update makes things worse. My pad has never been so slow. I now have some apps that don't work as they should. iPad and AT&T have never been happy with each other but now freezes and just taking so long to access some websites and why go from one move to two to close a website. Makes no sense to me. Maybe I am just not used to it yet, but it takes about twice as long to close a web page. My pad is 32 gig and I have 14.9 free. As far as a fix, I am about ready to throw this pad in the lake and go back to Microsof, something I never thought I would say. I have an iMac and just retired my notebook. I am trying a dell with windows 8 As a replacemen. School is still out on that platform but it is better than this ipad. IF some one has similar problems and fixed, please let me know.

Since the vast majority of iPad mini users are not having WiFi problems then, if you are having consistent WiFi problems on all networks, you very likely have a hardware problem with your iPad mini. This probably cannot be fixed by any iOS software update. The iOS 6.0.2 software fix likely was for a bug that only showed up with certain access points or network configurations. The only way to get your problem fixed is to get your iPad mini replaced by Apple. The fastest way to do this is via the Apple store but you can also arrange for replacement if you contact Apple support.
