Some app don´t run

some app don´t run suddenly, any idea?

What exact behaviors are you seeing when you attempt to open the apps? Do they bounce in the Dock at all, or only bounce once, or do you see any errors or warnings pop up?

  • After upgrade to os 4 some apps don't work including Apple Store

    Upgrade went ok, but took long time. Some apps don't work correctly or crash. e.g. Apple Store app just recycles back to main screen. Starbucks app works for a few seconds then crashes.

    I had same problems.
    I decided to "downgrade" back to OS3. You can too!

    Help , I don't know how to update my iOS on the iPad one some apps won't work with the one I have and are suggesting that I update . Can someone help me figure this out.

  • Some Apps don't work after an upgrade IOS to 6.1.1

    Description of the problem with my iPhone 4 after an upgrade from iOS 5.1 to 6.1.1:
    Some Apps try to start but stopped immidiatly.
    The issue for my case:
    Try to find your App trough the App Store on your iPhone.
            The status of this App should be open. (but when you try to open it, it won't !!!)
    Use the main button to go back to your App and delete it.
    Go back to Apps Store and reinstall your App.
    Check the progress of the installation.
    When the install is done open your App again and it should be working again.

    Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

  • Some Apps don't start up anymore after upgrading to BB 10.2.1

    I have upgraded to BB 10.2.1 today and am pleased to see new features and enhancements.
    I also have to report a few issues though:
    - startup takes much longer now
    - several non native apps don't start up anymore. I even reinstalled some, but that didn't help. Any thoughts?

  • IPad 3 iOS 8.0.2 some apps don't work, everything slow

    IiPad touch updated to iOS 8.0.2. worse than any of the ios 7 updates.  It seems that lately ever update makes things worse.  My pad has never been so slow.  I now have some apps that don't work as they should.  iPad and AT&T have never been happy with each other but now freezes and just taking so long to access some websites and why go from one move to two to close a website.  Makes no sense to me.  Maybe I am just not used to it yet, but it takes about twice as long to close a web page.  My pad is 32 gig and I have 14.9 free. As far as a fix, I am about ready to throw this pad in the lake and go back to Microsof, something I never thought I would say.  I have an iMac and just retired my notebook. I am trying a dell with windows 8 As a replacemen. School is still out on that platform but it is better than this ipad. IF some one has similar problems and fixed, please let me know.

    Since the vast majority of iPad mini users are not having WiFi problems then, if you are having consistent WiFi problems on all networks, you very likely have a hardware problem with your iPad mini. This probably cannot be fixed by any iOS software update. The iOS 6.0.2 software fix likely was for a bug that only showed up with certain access points or network configurations. The only way to get your problem fixed is to get your iPad mini replaced by Apple. The fastest way to do this is via the Apple store but you can also arrange for replacement if you contact Apple support.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device. 
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • My apps don't run any more, they just launch and close

    I have a 3gs, and about 10 days ago I upgraded to 4.3.3. On Saturday, 5/13/11, I was able to use all of my apps. On Sunday when I run any of my non - default apps stopped working. They would launch then close within 1/4 second. This occured for all of the apps I tried, including Flashlight. I could not see a pattern other than the standard apps worked and the non standard don't.

    I restarted my phone. same result.
    I after doing a backup, I reset my phone and restored from backup. The result was that ALL of my non default apps are gone. Poof. I am working with iTunes to have my apps be reautherized. I am not sure that will fix the original problem.
    I did not try to down load a new free app. I wish I had tried that.
    The reason for this post is to see if there was some fairly well know problem that I had run into and there was a known fix for the problem.

I think I may need to re download them because i'm having little glitches but nothing major that can't be fixed. Here is what was suggested in that thread:
    "If it's your vista machine, try this: (itunes not running).
    1. Open Computer from the Start menu.
    2. From the Organize menu, choose Folder and Search Options.
    3. Click the View tab.
    4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders," make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Navigate to the following location by either typing it into the address bar, copying and pasting it into the address bar, or clicking through the folder hierarchy listed:
    C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes
    7. Right-click the SC Info folder shown and on the shortcut menu, choose Delete.
    8. Restart the computer.
    Then SC folder will be rebuilt, launch itunes, sync your phone, see if your apps work now."
    I haven't re synced my videos yet but i figure they will work as well. I hope this works for you!

  • Apps don't run; protected media doesn't play

    This issue crops up repeatedly on the web. A variety of solutions are discussed, including installing an app, restoring a backup, resetting the phone, and so forth. None of these has worked for me (including restoring the phone from scratch, as if new - which amazes me).
    On day 1, hour 1 of a 7 day trip I was sitting on a plane reading a book in Kindle iPhone. I switched the phone to airplane mode and resumed reading. A few moments later I powered off the phone for takeoff.
    When I turned it on again I could not access apps or protected music. Some sort of authentication or authorization file or data item had clearly been corrupted.
    The additional wrinkle is my upgrade to win 7, which I had just performed. I didn't have a backup to restore. Restoring as a new phone has not worked. A sync to iTunes changed all the music into 'other'. This was cleaned up after a reset.
    Is there no official word on exactly which file has become corrupted? Why does iTunes not repair this file during sync? Clearly there us bad data somewhere in my backup or the repository maintained in iTunes. Signing in and out of the app store or iTunes (on the iPhone) doesn't fix it either.
    It seems quite ridiculous that I can purchase, download and install an app on my iPhone, and then not be able to run it.

  • Some apps don't play anymore

    we've downloaded & kept eighteen apps - the last today ... now I find some of the earlier ones, which used to work fine, don't play anymore - ie: tap them, the screen goes blank (dark or mostly white) for a second or two, then it's the home screen again ... we paid good money for some of them, too ... grrh !
    Examples of the ones that don't play now are two expensive Ultralingua dictionaries (English & German-English) & Digital Clock ...
    anyone know a cure, please - I daren't update the wife's iPhone if this is going to happen to hers, too ! ?

    thanks, I'll give it ago ... deleting them is easy, tapping the x of each app on the iPhone home screen, reinstalling them is less obvious - by disconnecting & reconnecting / sync'ing again, I've managed to re-install one app, but not the rest, yet ... I'll keep trying, various things !
    PS: OK - I worked out how to do it (tap the crosses on the iPhone home screens to delete, then tick the appropriate boxes in the iTunes / iPhone / Applications listing to re-install) - not all that obvious / intuitive, until one's done it !

    Have two apple tvs in my home, one displays VEVO, HBO GO and other apps, but the second one, which I recently installed and updated, doesn´t have those apps. Why is this? How can I solve it?

  • Some apps don't appear in Notifications Settings

    I upgraded to iOS 5 on Thursday with my iPhone 4 and notifications worked fine.  I was able to go in and individually set notification settings for almost all of my apps.  Last night I bought the iPhone 4s and installed all of my media, contacts, and apps and now I can only change notifications settings for a handful of apps.  Does anyone know how to fix?

  • After adding 2nd WiSM and failing over AP's some apps don't work

    We have a dual core made up of 2 6513's. In 6513#1 we have WiSM#1 which we have had for sometime now. We have added a 2nd WiSM in 6513#2 for redundancy purposes also we are going to be re-configuring the WiSM in 6513#1 to more match that of the new WiSM in 6513#2. We have installed the new WiSM and failed over the AP's from 6513#1 so we can re-configure it's WiSM. The failover went great and no issues, with the exception that a web application or two didn't function from wireless clients and users were having issues getting to some mapped drives. The only difference from the new WiSM config vs the old WiSM is that on the old WiSM the AP's were in the same VLAN as the controller management interfaces. Now with the new WiSM it's configuration has the controllers AP mgt interfaces ip addresses in a different VLAN from the AP's, we are doing this based on Cisco best practices. If we revert the AP's back to the original WiSM/controllers the PC's where they are on the same vlan/subnet the applications and shares that were having issues the other way work. We have placed a call with Cisco TAC and they say our configs look good and we even sent them some packet captures and they said everything looks normal. The wireless clients can ping and resolve the server hosting the application database just fine.

    We did create the mobility groups, and we are using DHCP opt 43. The AP's find the 2nd WiSM#2 just fine and associate to the controllers and all the WLAN's work just fine. The only issue is that after the AP's are on the new WiSM and controllers there is an application or 2 that is having trouble locating it's database server and that some share's are not working. Again the only difference in this new setup in that now the AP's are on a different subnet/vlan from the controller mgt addresses where as before they were in the same subnet/vlan and the application and shares worked fine. It's almost like it is a bit of a routing issue?
