Some bookmarks aren't visible once bookmarked

Hi,
I've run into a problem when I've tried to make Google bookmarks and for them to show up in the bookmark menu in a folder.
Image one illustrates that the two sites are recognized by Firefox as recently being bookmarked, and image three shows that the actual websites aren't in the folder I wanted to put them in. In fact, the two websites aren't anywhere in the bookmarks or folders - other than in the recently bookmarked folder (image one).
Image two shows that bookmarks I have in the Movies folder aren't showing up and even the blank box you saw in image three isn't seen. What I see (image 2) is a small black square.
Upon closing and restarting Firefox, I see the regular empty boxes that say "(Empty)". However, the bookmarks are still missing.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

For some reason, I can not delete bookmarks. I did one at a time, then tried 5 or 6 and it worked once then no more. I then tried 1 at a time and it worked once the no more. This is a brand new computer (Win7) and FF just loaded about 3 hours ago.

Looks like FF tried to import some BM's from the Virtual XP installed, but did not get it any where near right. I need to completely delete all of them and install from a saved .html file.

Well, I did not see the exact problem that I was having listed in the articles, BUT the problem is solved for now.
I opened FF and the Bookmarks to Organize again. I deleted all of the folders and entries, ONE AT A TIME, AND IT WORKED. Evidently, for what ever reason, FF did not like "Batch" deletes of ANY amount greater than 1 and the HANG UP would occur.
Deleting one at a time then importing the good .html from a good file, loaded the wanted Bookmarks. Yea

Bookmarks subfolders not visible

Hello everyone.
I cannot access my bookmarks in subfolders, does anyone how to solve this??
I had some tabs open, then I went to the bookmarks menu and selected "add bookmark for these 3 tabs". I added the bookmark under another folder. Now when I go to 'show all bookmarks', I can see the main folders in the left column, but not any sub folders. If I search for the bookmarks, they appear in the preview pane, but I can only open one at a time, not the collection, and they are not shown under a subfolder.
If I click on the 2nd plus sign at the bottom 'click to create a bookmarks folder...' nothing happens. Although now if I look under "add bookmark for these 3 tabs" again, I have several 'unnamed folders' which have been created.
Does anyone know how I can make these sub folders visible and open the collection of bookmarks at one time? Or if not, how I can move them into a main bookmark folder so at least they are visible to me?

HI,
First, save your Bookmarks just in case. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Export Bookmarks. Save them to an external source so you can re Import them if necessary.
Try emptying the Safari cache. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Empty Cache... Relaunch Safari. If you still have problems with your Bookmarks folder, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If it's a successful launch, then that .plist file needs to be moved to the Trash.

Why doesn't right-click work in Bookmarks menu anymore? Why do I have to open some Bookmark manager to edit/delete Bookmarks?!

Until this 29 update, I was able to simply right-click in the Bookmarks menu on any Bookmark and do whatever I wanted like open it's properties to edit it or simply delete it straight from that menu. Now, suddenly, that right-click menu is all blanked out. It's only usable when you go to the Bookmark manager. Why was it necessary to forbid people from deleting and editing Bookmarks from the Bookmark menu?! Why do I have to now go through some extra steps of opening the Bookmark manager then finding the Bookmark to edit or delete it when I could have done all that straight from the menu?!

Data not visible on bookmark

Hello All,
We have an issue with some of our reports which are bookmarked.
Cost Element hierarchy is set up in the rows in some of these reports. When the bookmark is opened freshly, some of the transaction data against some of the hierarchy nodes of Cost Element shows as blank.
When the hierarchy is then deactivated in the screen and then reactivated again, the data is again visible against these hierarchy nodes. This issue is not occuring for all users but for some users.

Some of what pictures aren't visible, and in which app ? If you restored to a backup of your old phone then any photos that were synced to its Photos app from a computer won't have been included in the backup - a computer's iTunes restore should pick them up from where you originally synced them from your computer.

"Bookmark toolbar" is visible as drop down menu but shows empty bar even though it is checked on in "view" menu

the horizontal "bookmark toolbar" is checked on in the "view" "toolbars" menu, but appears as a blank bar, without any entries. If I go to "Bookmarks" on the menu bar I can see the "bookmark toolbar" entries. How can I make visible the bookmarks saved in the horizontal "Bookmark toolbar".

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Make sure that all the toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

Make my bookmarks list always visible even without opening Firefox

Hi,
After having unsuccessfully tried for years to install the bookmarks icon in the systray or in the quick launch bar, I had the good surprise sometime ago -and without knowing how it happened - to view all my bookmarked files on the left side of every windows in Firefox. I appreciated it, even if it took plenty of room and narrowed the active window... I dared not clicking the little cross ... but yesterday, in the place of my bookmark list, there stood another program which I had been consulting and was not needing on the moment... so I clicked the little cross...and have lost (for ever ?) my bookmarked list always visible. Hope I made me understood, I would like to have an easy access to my registered bookmarks, even without opening Firefox !

Unsorted bookmarks aren't showing

Unsorted bookmarks aren't showing at all, need them to show so they can go into the right folders and for access to them.

I think you might need to use the Library dialog (formerly known as the Bookmarks Organizer) to access them. Try either:
* Ctrl+Shift+b
* Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
Unsorted should appear at the lower left, and if you click that, the individual bookmarks should appear on the right side.

Some bookmarks are correct in organising bookmarks but do not appear properly in toolbar folder and cannot be deleted in toolbar

I have one bookmark folder in my toolbar that has incorrect bookmarks I cannot delete them or edit them. In 'organising bookmarks' I have edited them and they are correct. but even if i delete or correct them in organising bookmarks in the toolbar the bookmarks do not change. though I can still add new bookmarks.

My bookmarks look like folders. When I show "Edit Bookmarks" I can see individual bookmarks inside folders, inside another folder. I could use some help to correct this, please.

Why am I getting some strange bookmark subscription instead of my bookmarks menu when I try to bookmark a page?

The bloody thing comes up with something called "Live Bookmarks" instead of the regular save menu. How do I get rid of it and back to the normal save bookmarks system?

Bookmarks disappeared in bookmarks drop down menu and bookmarks toolbar disappeared too after upgrading

I still have all my bookmarks so they are not lost (I can find them under 'bookmarks'>'Edit bookmarks' and also when I put them in the left side windowframe by clicking 'View'>'Sidebar'>'Bookmarks'
I saw them appear once again in the dropdown menu but now they're gone again.
The Firefox help page suggest to go to the 'add ons window' and select 'Extentions'>'Torbutten' but I don't even have that. They say that if you don't find the button, that means the torbutton is not installed. And then they leave you without another possibility. But I think that's only for when your bookmarks are totally lost anyway.
I always use the drop down menu and the bookmarks toolbar so would love to get it back. Adding, erasing and moving the bookmarks in the 'edit bookmarks' window all works just fine.

MS Word documents open but aren't visible

I've suddenly started having a very strange problem in Word and can't find a post describing a similar problem on either the Apple or the Microsoft Word support discussion fora.
I can open documents, either within Word or directly from my Documents folder, but when they open they aren't visible. I know that they are open because they appear on the list of open windows, both on the menu bar and from the dock. Once I've closed the documents down, they also appear on my Recent Items list under the Apple menu. Worse still, the problem has now spread to my MacBook Pro, so I'm wondering if the problem was caused by a recent software or security update.
I've tried everything that I can think of to fix this problem (changing the document view, using the arrange documents command under the Windows menu tab), short of reinstalling Office. I don't think that the documents are corrupted, as I get this problem with every Word document that I open (and they open fine in Pages).
Any suggestions to try and fix this problem would be gratefully received.

I had a problem with windows disappearing in Word and other applications. I found the problem was the System Preferences “Expose/Spaces.”
I tried Spaces after I installed Leopard and decided I wouldn’t use it, so I unchecked the Enable box. But Spaces mysteriously re-enabled itself. It would show the application menu bar but no window, even though the file was listed in the Windows menu.
When it happens, you can try cycling through Spaces by using the Control-arrow or Control-1,2,3 or 4 keys. If you ever tried Spaces and then thought you disabled it, this may be happening to you also.
To completely disable Spaces, go to the System Preferences, click the Expose/Spaces icon, click on the Spaces tab, check the Enable Spaces box, and select the applications in the spaces. Then click on the minus button at the bottom of the window. After removing all the applications, uncheck the Enable box again.
I don’t know if this is the problem with your computer or not. It seems unlikely it is a virus, as others suggested and from what you have replied. Checking the Spaces System Preferences and trying what I did to remove the applications from the Spaces function couldn’t hurt, unless you really want to use Spaces. In that case, try using the Control-arrow or Control-1, 2, or 3 key combinations when it doesn’t show the document window.
