Some doubts on UCCE CVP comprehansive call flow.

What is the configuration on CVP that forwards call to ICM.
as i am not able to find any configuration in OAMP or CVP that target to ICM.
the flow is as follows-
VG-CUSP-CVP-VRUPG-ICM-CCMPG-CUCM

Hi,
There is no much configuration in CVP.
In CVP ,ICM subsystem configuration the PORT number you have mentioned is should be same as the PORT number mentioned in CVP PIM configuration.
and in PIM configuration you should mention the CVP host name.
Through this PORT CVP interact with VRU PG using GED-125 and VRU PG communicate with ICM (Router).

CVP Comprehensive - Calls Droped when agent answer

Hi,
Currently i have a CVP 7.0(2) es 22 and CUCM 7.5(8), I noticed that sometimes Calls routed to agent are getting dropped, and on the Ingress Gateway i'm watching disconnections because of User Busy (some show commands are attached).
Call flow is simple:
Ingress GW -> CallServer ->Agent if ready, if not then queue.
On CVP i'm getting this error very frequently
%CVP_7_0_SIP-3-SIP_CALL_ERROR: CALLGUID = 94573CAB628C11DF8EEB8D236821F970 LEGID = 9459ADE3-628C11DF-8EF08D23-6821F970 - [INBOUND] - DIALOGUE_FAILURE from ICM Router sends 500 rejection to call. [id:5004]
So i think that once the call is getting routed to the agent the call disconnects by whatever reason, but that whatever reason is what I'm unable to find.
This happens just sometimes, I've seen this error before, when the Device Target does not have a label or when SIP trunk have incorrect CSS on the configurations. But on all those cases happens on all calls or exact extensions... this time happens randomly some calls complete on agent and some calls not.
Any experience on issues like this one will be appreciated.

I've noticed there is a bunch of traces like this:
13:18:37 ra-rtr Trace: Received 3 AgentSkillGroup logout entries from CM_PG_1
13:22:21 ra-rtr Trace: ATR rule not found for agent 5018 at ext 3111. Device target had label 3111 (ID 5035).
13:25:22 ra-rtr Trace: ATR rule not found for agent 5026 at ext 3114. Device target had label 3114 (ID 5038).
13:27:06 ra-rtr Trace: ATR rule not found for agent 5032 at ext 3123. Device target had label 3123 (ID 5056).
13:28:24 ra-rtr Trace: ATR rule not found for agent 5024 at ext 3117. Device target had label 3117 (ID 5048).
I attached the log files on a zip file.
I've noticed this is really ofthen, at less every 1 or 2 minutes.
Any help will be appreciated.

UCCE Call flow to load balance & redundancy

Dear NetPro gurus,
I have used Cisco UCCX for a number of years but I'm a newbie to UCCE.
1. For UCCE, can each site have multiple PGs, Routers, Loggers & ICMs (for instance, can i have 2 PGs on site A & 2 PGs on site B (a total of 4 x PGs)? Or each site can only have 1 PG, 1 Router / 1 Logger and 1 ICM?
2. Is there a way where i can say force all my Customer Services CSQ to go via Site A? And all my IT Helpdesk CSQ to go via Site B? But if either site failover, the traffic will automatically fialover to the other sites PG, Loggers / Routers, and ICMs?
Would greatly appreciated if anyone can shed some lights on this.

Hi Lee,
answer to your first Q:
UCCE will be having one router, one logger in each sites for one UCCE instance.
with respect to PG, you can have 2 PG on each side. It will work as active stand by mode.
for second question, you can do this based on selecting routing client from different site. Please provide call flow and what will be the VRU (CVP or IPIVR)

Cvp call flow trace

i am trying to disable call flow trace on CVP call server 8.0.1. when i use the commande setcalltrace off on voice browser administration i got a message saying :
This command is now obsolete. CallFlow trace is now turned ON by default and can
not be turned OFF.
how can i disable call flow trace???

it's on all the time. can't be turned off. the document could be just confusing.

Tools for UCCE/CVP Project phase?

Hi, there are plenty of customer phasing/ post project wallboards, reporting tools, admin tools out there.
My compnay is looking into some UCCE/CVP Project phase tools which can help the engineers in deisgn, deploy, call flow dev, testing etc phase of a project.
Any ideas/ suggestions please?

1) a) A Web Server understands and supports only HTTP protocol whereas an Application Server supports HTTP,TCP/IP and many more protocols.
b) Web server mainly deals with sending HTML for display in a Web browser, an application server provides access to business logic for use by client application programs. The application program can use this logic just as it would call a method on an object.
c) Webserver is used only for jsp and servlets and for static functionality it has limited functionality and it doesn't provide any security ,persistence and it doesn't support EJB and JMS and JAAS like other functionality
whereas Application server provide all functionalities.
In short, Applicaion Server is a super set of which Web Server is a sub set.
2) Two-tier architecture is a client/server architecture , where a request to do some task is sent to the server and the server responds by performing the task.where as a three-tier or a multi tier architecture has client, server and database. Where the client request is sent to the server and the server in turn sends the request to the database. The database sends back the information/data required to the server which inturn sends it to the client.

I have created the same scenario as mentioned in Siva's weblog (Lookup's in XI made simpler).
I having some doubts regarding the scenario, it will be great if you help me to resolve the same.
I am having a file-file scenario where I need to do lookup in database(MS-Access) through mapping.
The standard file-file scenario is in place and in addition I have created a receiver jdbc channel . I have also created the receiver agreement for the same in the cofiguration.
While creating the receiver agreement you have to specify the interface name which includes the message typeI have specified the normal format which we specify while configuring the jdbc receiver adapter.
In the message mapping I have created a advance user defined function as mentioned in your weblog which calls my receiver jdbc channel.
I have also specified the select query to be executed in the mapping program.
While testing I am getting the following error
Cannot produce target element /ns0:Role_MT/URole. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
<b>Can you please suggest me what all I need to do in addition to the file-file scenario for this lookup scenario to work.</b>

Some doubt with app in E71

I have installed in my E71 some app that i found like "installers or shortcuts to internet" in Menu->Installations->... i downloaded data to install using my wifi, but now i have some doubt. Are those apps for free? For ex: "Tiger Wood.." "MultiScanner" "Wipresenter" "RT GR"

Some Doubts about Event Handlers

Hi,
I had some doubts on Event handlers in OIM 11.1.1.5 ........
1) I want to use the same event handler for both Post Insert and Post update task.... Can I use the same event handler for that... If yes then how can I do that....
2) Can I create the single Plugin.xml class and add the all jar files in single say lib folder and zip them all together.. if yes then What changes I need to do?? Need to add only the plugin tags for different class files in plugin.xml file? OR need to do some thing extra also...?
3) If i need to change any thing in any class of event handler.. Is there need to unregister the plugin and again register...??
If yes.... Is there need to delete the event handler using the weblogicDeleteMetadata command???
4) As we Import the event handler from path like event handler/db/... If we add all the evetn handler.xml files in that folder..... As During Import weblogicImportMetadata recursively call all the files in that folder.... Now if i need to change anything in any one of event handler class... then if we import from the same folder event handler/db/... What will it do............Create the duplicate copy of all the eventhandlers????? OR i need to add only those Eventhandler.xml files for those class files i made the changes.....
5) As I need to create email on user creation during recon and also email id get updated as first name or last name updates..... What I had to use in Event handler.xml (entity-type="User" operation="CREATE") or Some thing else....

So effectively, if the xml is not changing you should not be worried about overwritting.

What I had to use in Event handler.xml (entity-type="User" operation="CREATE") or Some thing else....For recon and event handler, you will need to have post process event handler on User CREATE and UPDATE. On Create construct the email address and populate it in the email field. For update check if the firstname/lastname are changing and if yes, then update the email id on the profile.

CVP - Courtesy Call Back

We are testing with CVP Courtesy Call back feature. We didn't get Call back request from the CVP .
Call in the queue for longtime .
My doubt is here call in the queue exceed the EWT or call back is not intiated by the CVP.
Plesae find the below calculation to get the EWT in the script.

the problem has been resolved.
In fact, the problem is due to the discordance between CVP Reporting server version and the CVP Call Server.
the patch “CVP8.5(1) ES18” was installed only on the CVP server Reporting (for resolving another problem) what caused this version mismatch and impacting Courtesy Callback feature.
By uninstalling the patch, the problem was solved.

1.this is regarding SID Concept.
iIn extended start schema,there will be one fact table connected to many dimendion tables.Fact table and Dim tables are connected by dimension IDs.then this Dim table will hold various characteristics.every characteristic will store the characteristic value and address(pointer) to SID table.This SID table will hold again addresses(pointers) to attributes,text and hierarchy tables(if we assume that characteristic have attribute,text,hierarchy) which in turn contain the values.When a query is executed,the OLAP processor searches first for characteristics in dim tables and then with help of dim IDs traces Transaction Data in Fact table relevant for this combination of characteristics and gives output.Did I understand the concept right?

This question of yours is not very clear. Re phrase and post it again.

Ans:- Say for example in the customer master table customer phone no is the navigational attribute. Now when you select this navigation attriubte in your report then the processor will go and first check the value of Customer say C1 and then determine C1 phone number. Now this look up of cusotmer will happen for every customer . So if say there are huge number of records for which this look up of customer first has to happen then obviously the performance will be impacted.

I have some doubts about RECORDMODE … follow ...
Is it necessary development some ABAP code in transformation ? … or in Initial / Final routine ?
In DTP from DSO to Cube, is mandatory choice the option “change log” ? Or make some filter to select only valid records ?
Is There some configuration on query ?
Or the goal is only know how recordmode works, based on the table ROOSOURCE ?

Routines are used as per needs. Not based on 0recordmode.

Not mandatory. if we run first time dtp with delta mode option then no need to select change log option.
if we perform dtp as init and later delta then we need to choose changlog option for delta.

No. 0RECORDMODE is upto DSO level only to track changes.
Or the goal is only know how recordmode works, based on the table ROOSOURCE ?
0record mode works based on data source delta type.
Data source delta type you cam see from table ROOSOURCE and field deltyp - ABB.ABD.AIE...etc.
