Some downloaded podcast files restart in the middle

Hi,
Every so often, an audio podcast file (from any of a bunch of series I subscribe to) that iTunes downloads has the correct duration, but the contents are oddly corrupted: In mid-playback the audio starts over again. Say it's a 15 min. episode - after 5 min. it starts from the beginning, and it's missing the last 5 minutes.
The problem is in the file, so it's either:
1. Corrupt from the source - doubtful, as I've encountered this from various sources, and such a significant problem wouldn't go unnoticed.
2. Occurs during downloading.
Anyone seen this? Is there a solution? How can I delete an episode and redownload it in iTunes to test hypothesis #2?

I encountered it with a couple of episodes of the History of Rome podcast:

From the files accumulating on my computer it looks like it also happened in episode #408 of Snap Judgement:

There may have been others. It's been happening sporadically over a good span of time (give or take a year).

When I click on a file, the downloads box opens and depending on the setting, it auto saves the file or asks me where to save the file. What if I don't want to save it anywhere, I just want to view it and close it?

Download of files stored in the database

I am using FireFox and my users IE. Download of files stored in the database worked for me but not for my users. I recieve a choice of downloading the file or opening it with a full file name and file type. IE users have some strange behaviour - no name of the file and they can only save it to their local drive - some kind of weird microsoft security option. I was searching for it but couldn't find. Anyone here who would know where to search for it?

Can I get a refund on a movie that stopped to download while I was in the middle of it?

I want a refund. My movie stopped to download while I was in the middle of it. Who can I contact? Why do I want to watch a load screen for hours? This is terrible.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
While frustrating, problems are usually overcome, I doubt very much you will get a refund because your viewing was interupted, but you can always try. In all but a very few cases the cause of such problems is the users ISP or home LAN, so I would understand Apple being reluctant to give refunds in such cases.

Open Automator
Choose Folder Action for type of document
At the top, for Folder action receives files and folders added to, select Other...
in the window that opens, select your Downloads folder, and then Choose
from the Actions on the left, drag Filter Finder Items over to the column on the right
Where it says Any Content, select Kind
Where it says Any, select music
Drag Move Finder Items over to the rightfor To: select other, and navigate to your user folder > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Automatically Add to iTunes

Delete it and try downloading it again from the "purchased" option in the iTunes store, if the problem persists, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History.

Downloaded podcast files not moved to recycle bin when deleted.

I have iTunes running on two computers (home and work) both running Windows XP SP2. On my work computer, of which I am an administrator, when I right click on a downloaded podcast and select "Clear", I get a prompt asking me about moving the file to the recycle bin or keeping the files. Every time I see this, I select "Move to recycle bin" but nothing happens. There's a slight pause, like iTunes is trying to move the file, but the files are never moved. The entry in my podcast list is removed but if I go to the iTunes Music \ podcast folder, there they are.
This does not happen on my computer at home. The files are actually deteled on that computer. What am I doing wrong???

I had just deleted to Recycle Bin a whole bunch of podcast this morning, and after I read your post, I checked my PC.
It deleted about 30 and left 3.
Looks buggy to me!

How to download a file uploaded in the portal admin console

It has a property called , "file", and it is of type "Binary".and its primary property
I need to have link in JSP , to download that file/content.
I am using <templates tag , but not able to download.

Check the WLP API http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs102/javadoc/index.html?overview-summary.html
Search for com.bea.content.manager.servlets.ShowBinaryServlet class and com.bea.content.manager.servlets.DownloadBinaryServlet class. You can use one of these depending on your requirment. I think there is not jsp tag for these classes so you have to use scriptlets.

Unable to download any files no matter the browser, any ideas?

I am unable to download any file, in chrome I got the warning that hte igetter plugin could not be loaded but in safari and firefox it just doesn't download the file.
Any help would be appreciated.

Back up all data, then uninstall "iGetter" according to the developer's instructions. Relaunch Safari and test.

I have installed the new version IOS 8.1.2 then it was Impossible to download podcasts.

First: Put the device into DFU mode.
DFU MODE STEPS
Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"
Second: Plug it into your computer and open iTunes. It will either prompt to restore and up date or you can manually restore using the following steps

Premiere Pro CS5 - Peak files regenerating in the middle of edit session...

Peak files generate at the beginning of edit session as expected. Then unexpectedly get peak files generating during the edit session. I notice the file names for the peak files generating are the same files that were loaded upon opening the edit session.
What are the potential causes of this?
Intermittent drive failure?? Premiere Pro issue??

It happens somtimes for some people. I don't think a finite cause is known at this time. The general recommendation is to use only internal drives, no network storage and no externals.
