Some DVDs of a set not playing.

I looked, but didn't see anyone else having the same exact problem, so I hope you'll be patient with me here.
I have a four season box set of a TV show. Seasons 1-3 are playing just fine on my MacBook, but season four is not. I get the FBI warning, and the little logo animations for the companies involved in putting it out, and then it just stops, like there's nothing else on the discs. For all four discs of the season. They seem to be playable on the DVD player in the living room, but not on the computer.
Is there some setting I need to change, or download a new (preferably free) DVD program? Thanks for any help or ideas you might have!

Did you try modifying the package body?

In a nutshell the problem is the fact that the Software used by the RCA recorder is for PC.
When recording DVD's the software that is available varys greatly.
Some of the top of the line software gives options to burn PC only, MAC only, and PC or MAC combined.
It was also brought to your attention to use VLC Player on your Mac the firmware that is used with this player will sometimes allow for playing DVD's that were burned on these VHS to DVD Burners.
Here are a few tips that affect reading and writing DVD. This link is only a small amount of what can and does affect, I suggest you do a Google search to learn all you can.

I created a slideshow with itunes music added in iphoto. I tried the recommended free "burn for mac" software download. It burned a dvd but, this will not play on my dvd player for tv. Just a guess: You're using a VCR-DVD combo recorder. DVDs produced in this way will play on the device that made them, but won't play on anything else until they're "finalized." In fact, Macs will recognize unfinalized DVDs as blank discs until the discs are finalized. Check the manual that came with the recording device for instructions.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

This could be several things, but let's get the obvious ones out of the way, first:
1. Judging from your text, there's no problem with anything stuck in the mechanism; it's more an issue of no being to put in a disk. In other words, you're sure that there isn't a disk stuck in your MBP. (That happens a lot for all computers.)
2. Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility, and repair the disk. This should take under 10 minutes.
3. Perform the procedure outlined here:

After Updating podcasts and some show zero TIME and not play on ipod

Why do some podcasts not play and show zero TIME? At first I tried to play on ipod and after choosing to play a podcast it wouldn't play and jumped back to original title list on ipod. I wondered why, then went into iTunes and it showed the TIME on these as zero. Therefor there is nothing there to play, but I wonder why some different podcasts do this? Is it the website person who produced it that messed up so it wouldn't get into iTunes with anything, or is it iTunes not working? I have all podcasts set to Import using MP3 Encoder in Prefs, so then the KIND in list of podcasts show up as MPEG AUDIO FILE- does this make a difference?

I noticed I had to click on title name in podcast list, then I saw highlighted UNSUBSCRIBE at bottom as you said and was able to re-get podcast and it now has some minutes showing in TIME so am able to play. THANKS!
I still wonder why this happens and if it's on iTunes side or producer of podcast.

Some videos on YouTube will not play

As of a few days ago some of the videos on YouTube will not play I tried IE(I stopped using after it ask for an update) ,but then I had to use google chome and I hate it, but the videos played. Its not every video, and some times it's the same video I just played not to long ago. I fear that soon I might not be able to view most videos on YouTube. I cleared my cache, made sure everything it up-to-date, although Silverlight-plugin will not update, no matter what I try to do( I hope that is not the reason, because Silverlight won't up-date.) I'm am not sure when this problem first arose, at first I though it was Google/YouTube having issues, but it seems like Google's browser works fine on the videos that do not play on Firefox. What can I do, I need Firefox to work, I can't bare to move to another browser.

A few other thoughts:
(1) For a video where this happens, does the problem persist if you try reloading a few times using Ctrl+Shift+r?
(2) Is there any difference in how you connect to Youtube between your browsers? You can check Firefox's connection setting here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default is "Use system proxy settings" but you also could try "No proxy".
(3) Have you received any SSL-related errors, such as pages reporting a certificate problem and requiring you to make an exception, or missing styles or functionality on secure sites?

I made a movie on iMovie and went to burn to DVD and of course I could not...contacted Apple and they said to download an app to help solve this problem...i did..so I could finally burn a DVD, but it will not play on my DVD player...HELP!!!

How did you do this burn? Did you use a program like iDVD? A DVD player requires that the data on the DVD is recorded in the proper format: MPEG-2. A program like iDVD will do this. There are other programs available that can do the proper coding (Roxio 'Toast' for example), but iDVD has the most features and is easy to use. It is no longer available from Apple, but if you search on Amazon, you can find 'iLife 11', a suite of programs including iDVD. It will function properly on Apple's current operating system, but it cannot make a High-Definition (Blue-Ray) presentation. It is Standard Definition only, as are all regular DVD's. One good way to present photos on a TV is to make a slidesow in iPhoto, then export that slideshow to iDVD, where it will be properly formatted for a DVD player. Or, iDVD can make its own slideshow of up to 99 photos. HTH.
