I'm on a PC attempting to view a downloaded PDF. It's an application so the document is generated by our online system and aggregates info from the applicant as well as documents they uploaded. I can see most of the final product but the document uploaded by the applicant gives the error "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later." I downloaded the latest Reader (DC) and when I searched to download the latest Flash Player I got a message that it should be up-to-date since I use Chrome. I've seen other folks having this problem; any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response! The document appears the same either way. I downloaded the file and have opened it with both Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

I am having a problem opening an important PDF portfolio document using Adobe Reader (version 11.0.02) for Mac (Mountain Lion version 10.8.3).
When I attempt to open the file, I come up with the error message: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later", and I am unable to view the document. This is becoming very frustrating, as I am attempting to open the document with the new version of Adobe Reader (which I have downloaded multiple times).

For the first time I am aware of a user has received a PDF that cannot be opened in Preview.
The pdf opens to a splash screen showing, "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later." There is a large button showing " Get Adobe Reader 9"
It is a 15Mb document but we cannot get beyond the splash screen in Preview so I have had to install Reader 9 for the user.
Turns out the document is a very basic slideshow. It seems this is a new (to me) format of PDF which forces users to install Reader.
Is there any way these image portfolios can be opened within Preview so I don't have to install Adobe Reader bloatware again?

Personally I have never found Preview to be a complete substitute for Adobe Reader and always have both on my machine to deal with pdfs, which have a large number of possible variations in terms of version, features, and encodings.

You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

Some of my pictures do not show up in the organizer

Some of my pictures do not show up in the organizer. The folders are all there but no thumbnails appear in the organizer. If I do a search for them they are shown but I cannot find them in the organizer.

This is a small...."Bug" I guess you could call it, in the ipods software where if you have songs by one artist and none of them have a album listed with them, they do not show up under "Artist".
I forgot the exact workaround, but I think its something like if you give one song by the artist a album name (By rightclicking it in iTUnes, hitting get info and selecting the info tab) all the rest of the songs will now appear under artist on the ipod

which mentions what I recall: that Airdrop (as implemented by Apple) would create an on-demand ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection, even if you were already connected to an access point. Normally, you can't connect to multiple Wi-Fi networks, thus the reason for Airdrop only supported on newer Wi-Fi chips.

Downloaded photos not showing up in the usual places.

I just downloaded 300 pictures from a CD. The pictures only show up in the "last import", they don't show up in "photos", or "events". In addition, when I go to Costco site to upload photos, none of my 2012 photos are showing up. I click on iphoto, then originals, then 2012. Some numbered photos appear, with no names and no pictues in them when I click on them. I upgraded to iphoto 11 probably in January, but haven't had a problem until now.

If they are in Last Import then they are in the Library - somewhere.
Usual reason is that they are not where you expect them to be either because the date on the imges is not what you expect, or the Sorting is not what you expect (View Menu -> Sort Events / Photos)
Right click on one of the images in Last Import and choose 'Show Event' to bring you to the relevant event.
I'm not sure what ypu're referring to when you talk about uploading to Costco (or anywhere). There is no access to an 'Original' folder in iPhoto 11 - in fact, there is no such folder at all.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

I purchased a song via the Nokia Music app and I have noticed that even after restarting my phone the song does not show up in either the Nokia Music or music + videos app for me to play it. If i attempt to purchase the song again, i get a message stating that I have already previously downloaded the song. This is a frustrating first time experience. I would either like to know how to get the song to appear so that I can play it or find out how to get my money back.

Poor effort to release half-a@@ed products, seems to be the way things are done nowadays.
Will keep using itunes but hardly an endorsement for Nokia that I still need to use my iphone to get music.

ScrollBars not showing up for the JPanel [urgent]

I have a frame in which i have two nested split panes i.e one horizontal splitpane and in that i am having one more split pane on the right side and a JTree on the left side.In the second split pane (which is a vertical split) ,as a top component , i am setting a JScrollPane in which i am trying to display a JPanel which is having a lot of swing components in it.I want to see the scroll bars for this panel so that i can see all the components.Do i have to implement Scrollable interface for this panel to scroll in the ScrollPane.I don't know how to implement Scrollable interface.Can some body help me in resolving this?This is some what urgent.Any help will be highly appreciated.

4EA2 the Detail display for views does not show comments for the view

I am running in an Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production environment.
The Detail tab for a View does not show comments added for the view. I would like to request that the Detail tab be modified to display any comments added for the view.
This is important for me because I want to use the Generate DB doc function (from the right-click menu linked to schemas), to generate documentation, and that function uses the same format as the Detail Tab. The View Comments are important for my users.

I'm implementing a SSIS 2012 pkg. For a data flow task, I'm using a Visual Basic 2010 script component with an Oracle input flow. For the script component I've an input column and I've created an output column. Inside the script code I've edited only inside
Public Overrides Sub Input0_ProcessInputRow(ByVal Row As Input0Buffer).
The written code is:

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):

Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.
Should now work for you.

Why some photos do not show up in the widgets after final export?

Why do I have a problem with the FeatureD News Widget not showing all my photos? I have tried redoing it many times over in different formats and all but one photo never shows up in the final export. Please I need help to finish up the website.

If I understand this correctly, you are reporting that you have images in your Featured News' target frames and some of those photos do not show up in the published site.
If so, I would like you to confirm if the widget works fine in Preview within Muse? Are the images missing in all browsers, even after clearing the browser cache? Can you provide a link to a published site? If required I may also request your source Muse file to investigate further.

I have found that often items that appear to have been downloaded do NOT show up in the purchased list. I will stop using this release. it *****. Plus one cannot view downloads, and one cannot easily sleect a song and see genius suggestions as before.Things are not looking good for Apple these days.

The iPod Shuffle has never had a 'display' on which track names can be shown. PS. The current iPod Shuffle even though it has no display on which it can show the track names can read them out loud to you using a voice-synthesiser this is the VoiceOver feature described on the iPod Shuffle product page I listed above.
