Some emails deleted on one device delete on another some do not?

I have an iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro. Some emails when deleted on one device delete on the other some do not. The exchange accounts do but the POP do not. Any way to get the POP to delete on other the devices when deleted on one?

  • I use Comcast for email and my email downloads both on my iPad and on my macro which I want, but if I read and delete on either device it is not deleted on the other device. Anything I can do soma delete on one device deletes it on the other device?

If I delete an email on my iPad it is not deleted on my macro. I wonder if anyone knows how to delete on one device and have the deletion concurrently work on the other device I use Comcast e mail.

Had problems sending emails from my iphone and ipad through Comcast. Apple could not solve the problem, contacted Comcast and they stated that they had issues with the Apple iphone and ipad and told me to download the "Xfinity connect ap" did so and everything works better than before.  When I used the Apple email had to trash what I did not want on Apple and then when I went to Comcast the email were still there.  Using the xfinity ap, when I delete on the iphone or the ipad the emails are deleted at all places.  Before I had to delete on my iphone and then my ipad and then when i went to my computer they were still there and I had to delete there also, which was a real pain. Still can send and rec email from my icloud account, but comcast email are handled through xfinity connect

  • ICloud- why won't emails that have been deleted on one device delete on all devices?

Ugh!!  I have an iPhone 4, an iPad, and an iMac (running Lion 10.7.2).  When I delete an email on my iPhone...I hate the fact that it won't delete on my iPad & iMac too.  I have iCloud...so WHY OH WHY won't it work?  I hate deleting things in 3 places...ANNOYING!  Can anyone help?
    Thanks!!

Waht exactly happens when you try?  What version of iOS is on your new device and on your old device?  What apps will not open? Will any of your apps opens?  What happens if you restart your new device?

  • How do I eliminate duplicated emails among my desktop, iphone, and ipad? They appear on all three devices and when deleted on one device they remain on the other two. So I have to go through all of my emails to delete on each device.

How do I eliminate receiving duplicated emails among my desktop, iphone, and ipad? After I read and delete on one device they still appear on the other two devices so I have to go through and delete them all again on each device.

It all depends on how your e-mail provider talks to the iPad. Some allow a lot of control, others not so much. My Yahoo works seamlessly between my Touch, iPad and computer. My hotmail, however, won't show up as 'read' on all devices, i have to open it on each one.
Some e-mails will allow you to tweak those settings and let your device alter what's on the server, others won't.
What e-mail program/provider are you dealing with?

  • I have set up all my mac devices to sync with iCloud and all work except for email. When I delete on one device, the delete doesn't occur on the other devices.

I have set up all my mac devices to sync with iCloud and all applications work except for email. Incoming messages appear on all devices but when I delete on one device, the delete doesn't occur on the other devices.

Thank you for your interest. I use apple mail to access my two accounts -I guess they are 3rd party accounts. One is a gmail acount and the other is a bigpond account. I admit to a lack of a high level of literacy when it comes to the language around all of this. For example, I am aware that I have an iCloud email account as I managed to set it up, but don't really understand the purpose of it as the last thing I need is yet another email account to oversee.

  • How can I unsync email so deleting from one device will not remove it from all devices?

How do I unsync email so deleting from one device will not remove it from all devices?

Sounds like you have an IMAP/Exchange mail account (vice a POP3 account). By design, an IMPA/Exchange account synchronized your mail boxes among different devices. That behavior can't be changed.

  • So if iMessages deleted from one device are not deleted from others why not recover deleted iMessages from iCloud?

I accidentally deleted ALL the messages from my wife from my iPhone, nearly all of them iMessages.  Yet, I can see all of them on my iMac and on my MacPro.  Indeed, there is a discussion item (https://discussions.apple.com/message/21313040#21313040) that confirms that messages are deleted and maintained independently on each device, even though they are all ultimately resident only in Apple's cloud.
I would dearly love to have all of them back on my iPhone.  Yet, reading about 20 or so discussions here, the only way to recover them would be a recovery from my iTunes backup.  I have a somewhat recent backup, but I'll still lose about 100 messages that way.
So, if all the messages are still in the cloud, why CAN'T I recover them directly from the cloud to my iPhone?  Any ideas?  Any software?  Is this an App just begging to be built??
    Thanks

It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud.  If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices.  If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't.  (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

    Hi,
According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

  • Deleting on one device

So if I delete an email on my iPad, shouldn't the email delete on my other devices as well?  There must be a setting that I don't have turnned on somewhere.

Yes, it should.  But the behavior is a little strange. If you have an email on your iPad and delete it, the badge counter will show on your phone, for example, until you tap it's email icon.  It will then check with iCloud and delete.  Your email on your computer will delete it the next time it automatically checks for mail.
If the deletion is not taking place, there is some sort of issue.

  • Move Email Account from one Verizon Acct to Another

Is it possible for me to move my email address from one verizon fios account to another by simply deleting the email from the first account and adding it to the second ?
Or do I need Verizon tech support to do this ?
Are there any issues I should be aware of ?

No, you can't do it, and Verizon Tech Support *generally* won't do it without a very good reason.

  • DFM database delete for one device

    Hello,
I want to delete DFM database for one of devices in LMS 4.2. Or just delete and add that device in DFM (if possible in lms 4.2, in 3.2 it was posssible).
    Regards,
    Mladen

As DFM depends of SNMP output from the device to show all this info, before we claim it corrupt, lets check directly for the interface details.
For this show the CLI output of the device:
    show run interface <int_name>
show snmp mib ifmib ifindex <int_name>
    Example if it is Ethernet2/1
    show run int Ethernet2/1
show snmp mib ifmib ifindex Ethernet2/1
The output would be similar to :
Router# show snmp mib ifmib ifindex Ethernet2/1
    Ethernet2/1: Ifindex = 3
Do a snmpwalk on the following OIDs with the ifIndex number :
    ifTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2)
    ifXTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1)
    Example :
    snmpwallk -v2c -c public 10.10.10.10 ifTable.3
Please share the output for me to check more.
Also, for the device, to remove the entire details, we have no option left than to delete it from DCR and add it back after a short while.
    -Thanks

  • Does pictures deleted in one device also gets deletes on another device

When  having activated fotosteaming in two iPads and when a picture is loaded into one iPad it automatically synchronize in the other one but if that picture is deleted in the original iPad, does it gets also deleted in the second iPad?

    Hi cb45689,
Does it matter which devices you upload from? Or does the issue occur regardless of where you initiate the upload? And, which devices are you using (tablet, phone, laptop)?
If you're logging in via a browser, does it help to clear the browser cache and then log back in?
    Best,

In the Event mode use the View ➙ Sort ➙ By Date ➙ Decending menu option.  Then the latest imports will be near the top of the Event window (depending on when the photos were taken of course).
Or Control-Click on one of the thumbnails in the Last Import album and select Show Event from the contextual menu:
