  • Some fields in table is not available in target fields(B1) DTW

    Dear Experts/Gurus,
I have a problem relates to data transfer workbench (DTW) SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 18. It is about unavailability of a certain field that is profitcode or distr.rule in JDT1 table. It is required field and there are many transactions and impossible to entry it one by one. If I check the table in SQL server 2005 database How to solve this problem, could I add target fields(B1) in DTW ? I appreciate your answer. TIA
    Rgds,

    Hi,
When a field is available as a property in the corresponding DI API object you should be able to add a column to the import template with the property name (not the name of the DB field!!!):
Here you would add "CostingCode" for the "ProfitCode"...
Sorry for the confusion created by the differences in the names!
+ the nonsense in the helpfile (someone thought it might help to use a descriptive name for a particular table (OOCR), but wrongly assumed that OCR here would have sth to do with <i>Optical Character Recognition</i> - funny!)

  • Dynamic Field in Table TCJ1

    Hello Experts,
I have doubt how the description get automatically populated in Table TCJ1.
When I see the fields in TCJ1, I see only 2 fields present. But when I see the table value another field Description gets automatically populated. It fetches the description from TCJ1T and populate the table TCJ1.
How actually this happens? How does TCJ1 table know, its description is present in TCJ1T? Is it specified in Table?
Well reason I am asking is I have simillar requirement in report KKRC.
I have added some fields in table PSMERK (For summarization characteristic tab tcode CJ20n). Now customs fields are added in KKRO ( Customization for KKRC report) .
Currently when KKRC gets executed , description of the custom fields is not getting populated. I dont know how will KKRC know description of the custom fields needs to be fetched from another table.
    Thanks,

    Hi Sankar ,
In tables there is a concept called Text Tables , which usually is used to store description.
Now you might think my we need a text table  , the reason is the text can be stored in a number of diffrent languages, so a text table will have value for which description is to be stored , language and the description.
Now how u see the text table
SE11--> Enter the table name TCJ1 --> GoTo(In the dropdown there is some thing called text Tables , click on it you go to a table called TCJ1T )
Another very comman example is for MARA , see what is the text table for MARA.

  • Disabling fields in table Maintenance generator

    Hi Experts,
I would like to restrict some fields in table maintenance generator dynamically/ statically.
    Here is the situation.
I have generated table maintenance for the table ZMARA and I have created three transactions for the above single table maintenance generator.
    i.e .. Transaction      ---        Table
              ZT1                  ---         ZMARA
              ZT2                  ---          ZMARA
              ZT3                  ---          ZMARA
I am using above three transactions in my module pool program. Based on the certain conditions I am calling different transactions i.e ZT1, ZT2, etc
    Here is my requirement:
Suppose if I call ZT1 transaction, I need to display only few fields. i.e ZMATNR, ZMTART, ZPRODH.
or remaining fields should disable. User should not allow to change the content, even if it is new entries/existing entries. only ZMATNR, ZMTART, ZPRODH.
Suppose if I call ZT2 transaction, I need to display only few fields. i.e ZMATNR, ZMTART, ZHTSCODE
How can we restrict dynamically when you call table maintenance generator table through transaction
    or
How can we generate table maintenance for few fields?

Change my emp_1 on your sales,
and my emp_2 on your accounts,

  • How to populate a text field by some value from table in Oracle seeded page through Personalization?

I have to populate Description field by default in AGIS page (Advanced Global Intercompany System).
    Field Description:
    messageTextInput: Description
    VO: FunTrxHeaderVO
    VO Attribute: Description
    VO is entity based.
Now if the field is null then I have to populate this value by some value from table for selected batch_id.
    Example:
    (SELECT DESCRIPTION FROM fun_trx_batches WHERE batch_id =
    211061)
Also, this value is being populated in the Batch Information region in the same page. So the problem is also be treated as to copy a value from one messageStyledText to messageTextInput in a same page.
Can this be done through personalization, w/o coding?
Please suggest if you any idea how to resolve..

  • Field and table

    Hi,
Can any one tell me the difference
    1) We can unarchive repository after right clicking on specified repository
    or right clicking on server.
What is the difference between two?
    2) Can any one explain me with example what is Qualifier table , qualified record, Display Field, Remote key (which we can see in destination field during field/value mapping). It is not clear to me which source fields we should map with which destination field.
    3) I am some doubt with look up table, fields and taxonomy field Can any one give me simple example rather than link. How can we create all this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pappu,
    1) We can unarchive repository after right clicking on specified repository
    or right clicking on server.
What is the difference between two?
Ans : The only difference between the two is when you unarchieve the repository by right clicking on the server it will ask the name of the repository and creates the new one while in other case it overwrites the existing repository on which you have right clicked for Unarchieving.
    2) Can any one explain me with example what is Qualifier table , qualified record, Display Field, Remote key (which we can see in destination field during field/value mapping). It is not clear to me which source fields we should map with which destination field.
    Ans : Qualifier Table:
Consider the simple example given below:
If one Product is to be sold in different countries with different price depending on the country then in such case if you kept all this information in the main table then it creates the redundancy
    E.g.
    Product     Country     Price
    100     India     50
    100     US     60
    100     UK     40
Now if you model the above data using Qualified table in which Country will be the non-qualifier and price will be qualifier fields then
    Product                                       Country     Price
    100                                             India     50
                                                      US     60
                                                      UK    40
i.e. you are eliminating the redundancy by storing the repetative information in another table and just forming the link between main table record and its corresponding qualified table records.
    Qualified Records:
Records stored in the qualified tables are known as qualified records like India 50 is the qualified record in above example.
    Display Field:
If any field is declared as the Display field then the data of that field will be visible in the main table in MDM Data Manager.
E.g. Consider the lookup table name Countries with the structure shown below:
    CountryName     Code
    India     Ind
    United States    US
then when you select the drop down list say while entering data then you will get
    India,Ind
    United States,US
Otherwise if only code has been set as the Display Field then only code will appear in the drop down list
    Ind
    US
    Remote Key:
Remote key is used when you want to communicate with many systems like say you want to send particular MDM records to R3 and some records to BW system. Then you have to enable the Remote Key property of the main table and select the remote system say R3 if you want syndicate the records only for R3 system.
    3) I am some doubt with look up table, fields and taxonomy field Can any one give me simple example rather than link. How can we create all this?
    Ans:
    Lookup table:
These tables are used when you want to select the data from some fixed set of records like countries.
Create the lookup table countries and assign the table to the field(lookup flat) of main table then when you enter data into that field you will get the drop down list.
    Taxonomy table:
Taxonomy table is used when there exists some fields whose occurance depends on the value of other some field.
E.g. Say there a main table field named Product which consists of values like Shoes and Bottles. When you select Shoes then field Brand appears and when you select Bottles field Quantity appears. Now if you create 3 fields named Products Brand and Quantity then for product field value Shoes quantity will be null and similarly for Bottles Brand field will be Null.Imagine the scenario with lacs of records.
Now when you use taxonomy table to model the above design it will be as shown below:
    1. Create the field Product in the main table with type Lookup Taxonomy.
    2. In the Data Manager create two attributes named Brand and Quantity.
    3. Link the value Shoes with the Brand and Bottles with the quantity.
Whenever you select Shoes, Brand field will appear automatically and similarly for other case.

  • How to provide F4 help for a field in table control

    Hi Friends,
    I have requirement like below.
1.Create one custom transaction code with header and item information.
2.In item level, we will be designed table control to enter/display the data.
3.Table control’s first field will be material number and next DOT number (Material may have many DOT numbers) and so on.
4.First user will enter material number in the table control’s first row’s first field and go to DOT number field.
5.DOT number has drop down option. If user selects drop down box of DOT number, he gets all the DOT numbers available in database. User selects one DOT number and double clicks on it then it will be populated in DOT number field box.
But for point number 5,  business wants like when ever user enters material number in table control first field then select DOT number’s drop down then they want to see the particular material’s DOT numbers only in the drop down list for selection. Not all DOT numbers available in data base. Same thing should happen for all item lines in table control.
    Please see below example.
Assume data base table has 10 DOT numbers. But material number has only 2 DOT numbers. When ever user enters material number in item level table control and selects DOT number’s drop down then it should show only 2 DOT numbers which are related to particular material number. Not all 10 DOT numbers.
Could you please suggest me, how can we achieve this?

    Hello,
    Check this :-
    For POV
    Input Help in Dialog Modules
You can call dialog modules in the POV event using the event keyword PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    FIELD <f> MODULE <mod>.
After the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST statement, you can only use the MODULE statement together with the FIELD statement. When the user chooses F4 for a field <f>, the system calls the module <mod> belonging to the FIELD <f> statement. If there is more than one FIELD statement for the same field <f>, only the first is executed. The module <mod> is defined in the ABAP program like a normal PAI module. However, the contents of the screen field <f> are not available, since it is not transported by the FIELD statement during the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event. You can now program your own value lists in the module. However, this procedure is only recommended if it really is not possible to use a search help. Defining search helps is much easier than PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST, since the system takes over some of the standard operations, such as getting field contents from the screen. It also ensures that the F4 help has a uniform look and feel throughout the system. Furthermore, it means that you do not have to reassign input help to fields on each screen.
Despite the introduction of search helps (and search help exits), there are still cases in which you need to use parts of the standard F4 functions directly. In this case, there are some standard function modules that you can use in the POV event. They support search helps, as well as all other kinds of input help, and are responsible for data transport between the screen and the input help. These all have the prefix F4IF_. The most important are:
    F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST
Calls the input help of the ABAP Dictionary dynamically. You can pass the component names of a structure or database table of the ABAP Dictionary to the function module in the import parameters TABNAME and FIELDNAME. The function module starts the ABAP Dictionary input help for this component. All of the relevant screen fields are read. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the user’s selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
    F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
This function module displays a value list that you created in an ABAP program. The value list is passed to the function module as the table parameter VALUE_TAB. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the user’s selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
There are also two function modules - DYNP_VALUES_READ and DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE - that can read the values of screen fields and return values to them during the POV event. For further information, refer to the relevant function module documentation.

The screen flow logic is as follows:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE INIT.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE CANCEL AT EXIT-COMMAND.
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    FIELD CARRIER MODULE VALUE_CARRIER.
    FIELD CONNECTION MODULE VALUE_CONNECTION.
When the user chooses input help for the individual fields, the following is displayed:
For the Airline field, the POV module VALUE_CARRIER is called. The function module F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST displays the input help for the component CARRIER1 of the structure DEMOF4HELP from the ABAP Dictionary, namely the search help DEMOF4DE. The user’s selection is returned to the screen field CARRIER.
For the Flight number field, the POV module VALUE_CONNECTION is called. The function module DYNP_VALUE_READ transports the value of the screen field CARRIER into the program. The program then reads the corresponding values from the database table SPFLI into the internal table VALUES_TAB using a SELECT statement, and passes the internal table to F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST. This displays the internal table as input help, and places the user’s selection into the screen field CONNECTION.
    For POH------------
    Field Help
There are three ways of displaying field help for screen elements:
    Data Element Documentation
If you place a field on the screen in the Screen Painter by copying a ABAP Dictionary field, the corresponding data element documentation from the ABAP Dictionary is automatically displayed when the user chooses field help (as long as the help has not been overridden in the screen flow logic).
For further information about creating data element documentation, refer to data elements.
    Data Element Supplement Documentation
If the data element documentation is insufficient, you can expand it by writing a data element supplement
Data element supplement documentation contains the heading Definition, as well as the following others:
    Use
    Procedure
    Examples
    Dependencies
To create data element supplement documentation for a screen, choose Goto ® Documentation ® DE supplement doc. from the element list of the screen. A dialog box appears in which the system proposes a number as the identified for the data element supplement. You can then enter help texts for the above headings using the SAPscript editor.
Data element supplement documentation created in this way is program- and screen-specific. Any data element supplement documentation created in the ABAP Dictionary with the same number is overridden by the screen-specific documentation. You can link existing data element supplement documentation created in the ABAP Dictionary with a screen field by using the table THLPF. To do this, crate a new row in THLPF containing the following data: Program name, screen name, field name, and number of the data element supplement documentation.
To display data element supplement documentation, you must code the following screen flow logic in the POH event:
    PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST.
    FIELD <f> [MODULE <mod>] WITH <num>.
After PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST, you can only use FIELD statements. If there is no PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST keyword in the flow logic of the screen, the data element documentation for the current field, or no help at all is displayed when the user chooses F1. Otherwise, the next FIELD statement containing the current field <f> is executed.
If there is screen-specific data element supplement documentation for the field <f>, you can display it by specifying its number <num>. The number <num> can be a literal or a variable. The variable must be declared and filled in the corresponding ABAP program.
You can fill the variables, for example, by calling the module <mod> before the help is displayed. However, the FIELD statement does not transport the contents of the screen field <f> to the ABAP program in the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event.
For further information about data element supplement documentation, refer to Data Element Supplements.
Calling Help Texts from Dialog Modules
If data element supplement documentation is insufficient for your requirements, or you want to display help for program fields that you have not copied from the ABAP Dictionary, you can call dialog modules in the POH event:
    PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST.
    FIELD <f> MODULE <mod>.
After the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST statement, you can only use the MODULE statement together with the FIELD statement. When the user chooses F1 for a field <f>, the system calls the module <mod> belonging to the FIELD <f> statement. If there is more than one FIELD statement for the same field <f>, only the first is executed. However, the contents of the screen field <f> are not available in the module <mod>, since it is not transported by the FIELD statement during the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event. The field help should not be dependent on the user input.
The module <mod> is defined in the ABAP program like a normal PAI module. The processing logic of the module must ensure that adequate help is displayed for the field in question. Instead of calling an extra screen with text fields, you should use one of the following function modules to display a suitable SAPscript document:
    HELP_OBJECT_SHOW_FOR_FIELD
This function module displays the data element documentation for components of any structure or database table from the ABAP Dictionary. You pass the name of the component and structure or table to the import parameters FIELD and TABLE.
    HELP_OBJECT_SHOW
Use this function module to display any SAPscript document. You must pass the document class (for example, TX for general texts, DE for data element documentation) and the name of the document to the import parameters DOKCLASS and DOKNAME. For technical reasons, you must also pass an empty internal table with the line type TLINE to the tables parameter of the function module.
For further information about how to create SAPscript documents, refer to the Documentation of System Objects documentation.

The following field help is displayed:
When the user chooses F1 on the input field for DEMOF1HELP-FIELD1, the data element documentation for DEMOF1TYPE is displayed, since the field does not occur in the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event.
If the user chooses F1 repeatedly for the input field DEMOF1HELP-FIELD2, the data element documentation is displayed, along with the supplement documentation for either 0100 or 0200 alternately. The variable VAR is filled in the dialog module F1_HELP_FIELD2.
When the user chooses F1 on the input field for FIELD3, the data element documentation for DEMOF1TYPE is displayed, since this is called in the dialog module F1_HELP_FIELD3 by the function module HELP_OBJECT_SHOW_FOR_FIELD.
When the user chooses F1 on the input field for FIELD4, the SAPscript documentation DEMO_FOR_F1_HELP is displayed, since this is called in the dialog module F1_HELP_FIELD4 by the function module HELP_OBJECT.

  • Adding field to Table Control

    Hi Folks,
I have a requirement of adding a field in Table control of Standard SAP transaction also updating the same in standard SAP database table.
The field is also not existing in the table, it is also added to the table using Append Structure.
Will this be possible using some Screen Exit?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Punit

    Hi Poorna,
       Thanks for the reply.
I have to add field to the txn QM02. User will specify the value for the custom field in this txn and the same should be updated in the database table.
The field is not a std SAP field, it is added to the table using append structure.
    Thanks,
    Punit

  • Values for a field in table

    Hi Experts
Can you explain me that, in table some of the fields has predefined values, whether its a value table or what.
Pls explain, how to set predefined values for particular fields to our own tables.
    Thank in advance.
    Regards
    Rajaram

    Hi,
you can explicitly mention domain range as value table for the fields in the database table.
Also the search help can be maintained for the fields in SE11 transcation where the value table can be specified.
    Reward appropriate points.
    Regards,
    Mansi.

  • Key fields in tables ce31000 and ce41000

In transaction KE11 ( change sales and profit plan ), tables CE31000 and CE41000 are used. I have to read those tables in a report but I cannot find the relevant keys to find unique records.  There are some fields I know, but using those fields I get about 300 records where I only should have one.  I guess I should use another table which has the link to the other tables, but I have no idea which.  Does anybody have a clue ?

As far as I remember there are 4 tables per operating concern, CE1xxxx for tha actuals, CE2xxxx for the planning, CE3xxxx for the summary lines and CE4xxxx for the objects.
Depending on the defined characteristics there is one PAOBJNR in CE4xxxx for each existing combination. In CE3xxxx you should also find this PAOBJNR. At the moment I have no access to a SAP with COPA, but I hope, this helps you a little bit for the further search.
    Best regards
    André
