Having launched a web site that looks perfect in the exported HTML. - When viewed online, I keep getting the message "Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect.........................Clear cache and try again....."
I have tried everything, even deleted all from the server, exported HTML anew, and uploaded again, but I am still receiving the same message. - Anybody have any idea on hoe to resolve this?

I have updated the Muse pages, exported the site and uploaded it several times via ftp: no result.
Even in Muse if I say: upload all the files: the upload gets stuck at the museoverlay.js gets stuck and won't upload the site...
What I think the best way is to redesign the whole site in the new Muse...not really looking forward to do that...

Your site (www.fvmdesign.nl) is published with Muse version 2014.2.1.284, but one of the files in the /scripts/ folder (jquery.museoverlay.js) was generated with Muse version 2014.1.1.276.
Each time you update Muse to a new version (e.g. from 2014.1.1.276 to 2014.2.1.284), please make sure you re-upload the "scripts" folder as well, as those libraries may change, or we may add new ones. If they are left out of date or if they are missing, you may experience random errors or weird behavior in your site. Also, each time you change a HTML page in Muse, it is a good idea to re-upload the CSS files that page is using.
Alternatively we recommend using the built in FTP Upload functionality that will take care of uploading obsolete files automatically, so you will not have to manually choose which files/folders to update.

I'm trying to get a blog module going, I've even deleted the html insert bog with the tag in and re-published which then I don't get the error but as a result no blog either. But then I add the tag in again and publish the error comes back. Also I've noticed when I've re-published occasionally it will show the mobile version on my desktop and not the desktop version??? no idea why that's happening so I've had to turn that off. any explanation on why that is happening would also be much appreciated.

I haven't received an answer as of yet, I'll post t on here when I do. I de-activated the mobile site because it's my clients site so he needs it to be operational during the day. I hope someone gives me an answer soon.

I've been building a site in Muse successfully until today when I get this error message in the browser, publishing to business catalyst as a test bed:

Clearing the cache has no effect and I have checked the assets and there are no error symbols. This happened after trying a google translate code in the <head> and a HTML snippet on the master template, I've since removed it but that the last action I took that I can think may have had an effect.
Viewing the source of the page in Safari hash;t helped other than it shows ALOT of html (including some elements i can;t relate to in my site design) and states there are three errors:

I started this site in Muse CC and then recently upgraded to Muse CC 2014, and I had install issues so deleted the original program (this then forced the download of the new version which was not automatically downloading even though CC notified me that an update was required.

Same problem here but it has nothing to do with a cellular connection.
Created the site http://www.blackdot.com in Muse 7.4.3 with no issues. Just updated the .muse file today to Muse CC 2014 and reloaded to our web server. Now I am getting the error "Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect." when viewing the site from the latest version of all browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) on a Mac and all browsers on a PC (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Explorer), also mobile Safari on an iPad.
My connection is wired broadband, not a mobile or wireless connection. I am not using the Muse "Upload to FTP host…" option and will not be using it. I am simply exporting as HTML and copying the files to my server. I have deleted all files from the web server and recopied the updated site with the same error result. This is the exact same procedure I used to load the initial site with the prior version of Muse.
It does not seem like there is an existing solution to this problem although many others are experiencing it. It looks like I will need to manually edit each page to remove the error message coding from the html files. Any tips on how to strip out the alert message from the html?
UPDATE
For anyone else experiencing this issue, I was able to edit the .html files for my site to remove the code responsible for this alert message. If you wish to edit your .html files you must make the same edit to every .html file in your site export including the top level "index.html" and all .html files inside the "tablet" and "phone" folders if you have them.
The coding to remove is at the bottom of each .html file:
(Muse.assets.outOfDate.length||Muse.assets.required.length)&&alert("Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author.")
Make sure you do not remove any semicolons or braces {} when making this edit. Just remove the text shown above. You will obviously need to remake these edits if you export your site as HTML in the future.

I'm getting that error message on a number of pages, and most pages on my site are not displaying correctly. I've published the site to business catalyst and it is working fine, but when I Upload to FTP on my hosting site, the site isn't working properly. Up until my last publishing all the pages were working properly. Prior to this last publish I only edited one of the pages, but I think because I had just updated Muse to the latest version (from the most previous release) all the pages and files were re-uploaded. I've tried deleting the site and re-uploading and no change. Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

How were the files uploaded? Were they uploaded using the built-in File > Upload to FTP Host? Or File > Export as HTML and uploaded with some other tool?
A couple of the .js files (at least the museutils.js and musewpslideshow.js) are mangled. It's very unclear how that would occur. The fact the error doesn't appear when hosting on Adobe BC implies the copies of those two files within your Muse install are not mangled, so the damage must have occurred either during the upload, while on the server or as part of the serving of the files. If you use File > Export as HTML and then manually upload these two files overwriting the versions on the server, that may resolve the issue. (You can open the exported site on your local machine to confirm the error doesn't occur for the exported files.) If manually overwriting the files with working unmangled copies doesn't work, you'll need to work with your hosting provider to determine what on your server is altering these two files.
In the museutils.js file the damage appears as a repeat of part of the header from the file, the "ADOBE CONFIDENTIAL" and underline, in roughly the middle of the file:

This type of repeating of part of a block within a file can be an early indication of a failing storage device. It's possible the server has a faulty drive or it's possible when Muse goes to read the file that's within your Muse install your drive is not reliably reading the file. If the latter is true, then I would expect the locally exported files to be mangled.

Error opening files on a server "Application is missing" for every file type

Hello,
I have got quite a strange problem with Maverick and a server (Isilon NAS).
When we connect to this server, with SMB or CIFS, it's impossible to open a file because "The application is missing". They are .PDF or .XLSX files mainly, so nothing exotic.
If we copy those files locally we are able to open them. The problem is only happening on two new MacBook Pro, we have roughly 40 other various Macs without this bug.
It's possible to "fix" the problem temporary by connecting to the same server, but on another share : smb://my_server/one_share -> "The application is missing", smb://my_server/another_share -> Working as expected. But next time "another_share" won't work, but "one_share" will...
We tried to troubleshoot the problem but it looks like a really rare bug, we are going to install the Combo Updates to see if it helps.
Any suggestion or idea is welcomed.

Since upgrade to Mac OS 10.7.2 Lion, on MacBookPro, recurring (every minute or so) error message: "There was a problem connecting to the server "servername". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network conneection, and then try again." (The server specified is no longer connected or used). The error message must be clicked twice to continue to work on the computer. Time Machine is switched off. No external disks are connected. Keychain entries for "servername" have been removed since the problem arose. Is there any way to prevent this error message?

I am having the same problem; have tried deleting some of the plist files as others suggested but to no avail. Tried turning off time machine - that didn't fix it either. Very dispappointing.

Opening Output Stream to a file on the server from Applet

I am trying to write a little applet which parses a file found on the server , lets the user select some Strings then write the selected Strings to a different file on the server. I use the following code:

The problem I am having is that the getOutputStream routine for the connection object does nothing other than throw an exception (I've stepped through the code and that is all the routine actually does). The connection is actually made but no output stream can be created. I have looked at the Java Tutorial (as I am fairly new to Java) and found a spot where they tell you how to write to a file on the server, which is the example I have followed. Any suggestions? What am I missing?

Yes, that's what I thought. It talks about writing to a URL, and you have interpreted "URL" as if it meant "file". A URL is a "Uniform Resource Locator", which is a string that identifies a "resource" on the server. Often that corresponds to a file on the server, but not always. It could be a page that is dynamically generated by a script on the server.
Look again at that page and you will see these words: "At the other end, a cgi-bin script (usually) on the server receives the data, processes it, and then sends you a response, usually in the form of a new HTML page." What that means is, you can't just upload a file to a URL unless you have programmed the server to deal with that upload. That's part of the basic design of the HTTP protocol.
So, unfortunately, you can't do what you want all that easily. You would have to provide some programming at the server to handle the file upload for you. In Java that means writing a servlet and getting the web server to have that servlet handle all requests to a particular URL. I suspect you don't want to get into that just yet. But if you do, any decent book on Java servlets should have an example of how to upload files like this.

How can I display the front panel of the dinamically loaded VI on the cliente computer, the VI dinamically loaded contains files, I want to see the files that the server machine has, in the client machine

I can successfully view and control a VI remotly. However, the remote VI dinamically loads another VI, this VI loaded dinamically is a VI that allows open others VIs, I want to see the files that contains the server machine, in the client machine, but the front panel of the dinamic VI appears only on the server and not on the client, How can I display the fron panel with the files of the server machine of the dinamically loaded VI on the client computer?

I down loaded your files but could use some instructions on what needs run.
It seems that you are so close yet so far. You need to get the data on the server machine over to the client. I generally do this by doing a call by reference (on the client machine) of a VI that is served by the server. THe VI that executes on the server should pass the data you want to diplay via one of its output terminals. You can simply wire from this terminal (back on the client again) to an indicator of your choosing.
Now theorectically, I do not think that there is anything that prevents use from getting the control refnum of the actual indicator (on the server) of the indicator that has the data, and read its "Value" using a property node. I have never tried this idea but it seems t
hat all of the parts are there. You will need to know the name of the VI that holds the data as well as the indicator's name. You will also have to serve all VI's. This is not a good idea.

I'm making a webservice that has to generate a XML file, sign it using another webservice and return this XML. The problem is that i don't know how to create the file in the server throught webservice.
I use this code in the webservice to generate the XML and after I return the XML to client in a byte[]

Well the File object doesn't create a file it's simply an abstract representation of file and directory pathnames.
You can try something like this:

I have had no problems backing up my MacBook Pro 2011 to my Western Digital My Book Live through a Linksys EA4500 router until recently. I've made no major changes. I've ran a diagnosis on my back up drive with no problems. The Time Machine back up starts, but about after about 5 to 10 minutes I get the error message. I can see the shared drive in Finder. The light on the drive blinks while it starts the back up. I can see the shared folders on the networked drive. The backup process starts but for some reason it just stops. Can anyone help?

You can't repair a network volume in Disk Utility.
Backing up to a third-party NAS with Time Machine is risky, and unacceptably risky if it's your only backup. I know this isn't the answer you want, and I also know that the manufacturer says the device will work with Time Machine, and that it usually seems to work. Except when you try to restore, and find that you can't.
If you want network backup with Time Machine, use as the destination either an Apple Time Capsule or an external hard drive connected to another Mac or to an 802.11ac AirPort base station. Only the 802.11ac base stations support Time Machine, not any older model.
If you're determined to keep using the NAS for backup, your only recourse for any problems that result is to the manufacturer (which will blame Apple.)
