No I did not change the email that I used to create the account.... Someone made new security questions and when I went to change them I had to verify and it sent the answers to an email address... Get this though... The email address that it sent the answers too waste letters in the middle were starred out like this t*****@aol.com. That's not my email. Why did it not send the questions to my apple ID email account right? if you know how to change the email to a new one that would be awesome if you could share that info with me.

Someone has hacked my itunes account and charged hundreds of dollars to my credit card. I have cancelled my card twice and they can still do it because I enter the new info into my phone. The credit card company said that I need to change my account password. Does anyone know how to change your password on an iphone?

I don't have an iPhone but it may be somewhere along the steps for removing card information

  • Some has hacked all my iPhone data.  What do I change?

    Hello iPhone users,
Recently a jealous x has managed to hack contacts in my phone, knows the right people to contact, and has been hacking/spoofing my number sending lewd text messages to them from my number and vise versa.  In a bad attempt to cover themselves up they sent the same messages from their phone number to one of my friends then denied it was them (as if to say their phone number is being spoofed too).  The loophole in their plan though is that AT&T confirms the texts were sent from their phone to my friends phone (indicating it wasn't a spoof) but doesn't show any texts sent from my phone when I'm being hacked/spoofed.
I've tried getting help from AT&T, the FCC, and Police to do something about it.  AT&T just said "sorry this is happening but we can't give you any information or do anything about it.  It's not our problem." The FCC said, "wow technology is scary huh."  The Police said "this is a childish issue" and wouldn't even take my report.
So what can I do to safeguard myself in the future since obviously no one cares to help?  Apple is the last place I'm going to.
Obviously iPhone security is vulnerable.  I am getting a new iPhone with a new number and new service provider today.  But since my phone has already been hacked, what can the person see?  I'm assuming they could have my email and passwords since I've used them on my phone.  Same with my Apple ID.  Is there any way they can hack into my computer from my iPhone?  Or hack into my next iPhone I get?  Do I need to set up a new Apple ID for my new iPhone and if so how do I transfer all my apps from my old iPhone to my new one?
I'm really scared to try to move to a different number and provider and have this keep happening to me especially because no one cares to help catch this person and tell them to stop.

This exact thing is currently going on with me. It started about a week ago and i thought it was a software update with a problem, so i did a restore on my phone.  Heres alittle background: my friends started recieving calls from my phone, they did not appear in my outgoing, but i could see me multiple calls on their incoming call list.  I also was getting these calls from them.  We dubbed it "ghost" calls because no one was on the other end.  I then started to recieve text messages from someone who informed me they had been doing this to my phone.  Each message i recieved from them came from a different number, never the same one.  I recieved 5 messages from different numbers.  Whats even crazier they said they were going after 2 of my friends that are dating, and they used my phone to make me "break up my friends." I already changed my AppleID, my password, unlinked my accounts from my phone, but have left my phone off.  This spoofing of the iphone is real. I have changed every password that has been used on my phone.  (i did this after the initial issues with my phone, and it still continued).

  • Has my iCloud account been hacked?

    Hi,
Since this morning I am having big problems with my iCloud account. When I woke up I opened the mail app on my iPhone which says my password is not correct.. Strange, as I have nothing changed at all! I never have to enter my password (it's saved in the keychain and on my iPhone)..
So I gave up my password in the mail settings on my iPhone to make sure it's right. However, it was rejected! Then I opened up the maill app on my MacBook (with the right password stored in keychain) but I either got the message "IMAP-server 'p01-imap.mail.me.com' did not accept the password.
Then I tried it on iCloud.com, but it says that my account has been disabled because of security reasons and it asked me to set up a new password at iforgot. It gave me the option the send the password to my email which was not an option as I have no acces. Second option was answering the secret question..... unfortunately the answer was not accepted as well. I am quite sure the answer was good because I always have 2 answers to secret questions (but there is a change I have set an other answer which I don't know).
Anyway, my password is correct for 100%. It has always been that password and I use that password for an other email account as well. I really don't know what to do now. Has my iCloud account been hacked? This password is only used for my iCloud and Gmail and I am always really carefull with my passwords.
    Please help me.
    many thanks
(I hope my english is fine enough)

What you have experienced, though annoying, doesn't necessarily mean someone has hacked your account, though if you were finding that you were blocked because the sending limit had been reached that might indicate that you had been hacked.
What can happen is that when people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two methods. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. The first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam. However changing your password on general principles is a good idea.

    Thanks in anticipation.

You will need to contact Support in your country to get the security questions reset (these are user-to-user forums) : Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security (if your account's password has been changed then they should also be able to reset that for you)
When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to change the rescue email address to an account that you have access to, for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

Someone has hacked into my account and sending emails (iCloud) pretending to be me.  I've changed my icloud password.  Do i need to do anything else?

You should consider enabling two-factor verification on your Apple ID, to further protect it. Without doing that, it's entirely possible that a hacker who gains access to your account in the future could take control of your Apple ID away from you entirely.
You also should consider whether any confidential information might be stored in iCloud. If you have made the mistake of putting a list of passwords in the Notes app, for example, that list should be considered compromised, and all passwords should be changed (and removed from the Notes app).
If you used the same password as your old iCloud password for other accounts, you need to change the password on all those accounts.
You should also alert your contacts that your e-mail was compromised, so that they are cautious about trusting any attachments supposedly coming from you. Keep in mind that the spammer can continue to "spoof" your e-mail address on the From line of new e-mail messages, even without access to your e-mail account.

  • SOMEONE HAS HACKED MY REWARDZONE ACCOUNT

Someone has hacked my rewardzone account.  They changed the phone number on the account, and have used the account to purchase 2 tablets.  Fortunately the credit card used is not one I (knowingly) own.  In fact I just checked a free credit report and don't see the credit card there.  Still this is very disconcerting.  I called BestBuy customer service but they were of little help.  Why would someone do this?!  I only had $5 in rewards in the account.

    Hello menglehart,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for connecting with us.
I can imagine your surprise and the concern you may have felt when you saw a purchase that you did not make displayed in your My Best Buy™ account.  With the growing concern over identity theft nowadays, it is understandable to cautious.  I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum and it would appear to me that everything should be fine.
As CrystalWoW mentioned, your personal credit card information is separate from your My Best Buy™ account.  Do any family members have access to your account?  The last name for the person that placed the order and the last name on the credit card used match your last name.  The email address that was used and the shipping address appear to be similar as well.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy™ account with you in greater detail and make sure the information associated with your account is up-to-date, so I will be sending you a private message.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
