Some items remain in BB after deletion on Outlook
Helllo everyone,
Sometimes, when deleting an item from Outlook, this item is not deleted on BB. This doesn't happen so often and the "reconcile now" cannot solve it. We have a BB server in our company and the device is a Curve 8100. This doesn't happen due to the use of Shift+Delete - these items were deleted using a simple Delete.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi Rose,
Delete those public folder instances (backup to pst via outlook before doing so), and wait for it to replicate again.
It will just move all the replicas over in order to delete your old exchange 2003 public folder.
You can refer to this technet blog for troubleshooting public folder replication in exchange server :
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/01/17/417611.aspx
Meanwhile, please also checkout this well described KB to troubleshoot PF replication in exchange 2003 :

No commitment line item in Purchase requestion after deletion .
Hi SAP FICO experts
Please provide solution for the issue .
User created a line item 20 in the purchase requestion with account assignment u2018Fu2019 (orders ) and deleted this Item 20, usually when deleted ,the line item will be there with deleted symbol, but the line item was not there in the PR
But commitment values for item 20 are shown in PR menu (Environment -> AC Commitment documents ) and in T.code KOB2 (Commitment line items for orders )and in report S_ALR_87013019 (budget/actual commitments)
So user was not able to process new PR with reference to their own budget.so i want to make the commitment value to zero .
one more thing our client has upgraded to ECC6.0 ,will it be the problem for this .In most of the cases Problem with Commitments are expected for no valid reason. I suggest you to run Program RKANBU01 to fix incorrect commitment. If this is not solved check If you have program ZKAOIDE0 in your system. You can run this program to solve the issue.

I deleted an old company mail account and when doing so it deleted all the contacts on the iphone. How can I get them back? Can I do a restore where I import ONLY the contacts? Or does Restore just overwrite everything?
When I connect my phone with itunes and go to the "Info" tab, it asks me if I want to "Sync Contacts with Outlook" where outlook is a choice from a dropdown menu. The question I have is what contacts are stored on itunes, if any, and which way it will write them ---> phone to itunes or itunes to phone. Since my phone contact folder is empty right now, I want to get these back from itunes. I am hoping those outlook contacts are stored on itunes and can then be downloaded to my phone, but I do not want to do a complete restore as the last time the phone was synced was a long time ago and contacts will be lost. If the sync writes an empty contacts folder onto itunes then the restore will not even be an option. Just want to make sure I do not overwrite any contacts that are stored on itunes.
By the way, icloud for contacts was not on so I do not have that route of recovery.
Help.Exchange contacts exist only on the Exchange server, and are automatically deleted when the account is remove. This is standard security policy of Exchange accounts. They would not have been backed up to iCloud in any event.

How to keep items on ATV after deleting them on iTunes library
does anyone know how to delete movies/tv shows on the computer's hard disk/i tunes library without loosing them on the ATV after the next sync. My problem is that I am only using a Laptop and my HD is already full and I want to delete some of my movies/tv shows on it and I want to keep them on the ATV. However even if I go to manual sync and uncheck the specific items ATV will delete these movies from its storage upon the next sync process. So is there a way to keep items on the ATV after deleting them in the iTunes library?
Unfortunately, that's not how it's supposed to work.
The important thing to appreciate is that AppleTV is not like an external storage/backup device as you cannot ordinarily get files from it should you need to transfer them elsewhere or you lose the originals. You must back up anything you'd hate to lose in some other way.
Many of us attach an external USB drive to the computer, migrate the iTunes library to that, and stream most content, however that is less practical with a laptop if you need the laptop to be mobile and to use AppleTv when it's on the move.
One thing you could try is to test delete a file from the iTunes library manually. In that way iTunes still holds a reference to the file but complains it can't find it. Not sure if this still causes file deletion from AppleTV as the item is still referenced in the database but you could try it and see (make sure you copy the file somewhere safe first!).

After deleting users from iPlanet Calendar Server(iCS), the users'
subscriptions still remain. Then, if a user tries to unsubscribe
from a deleted calendar, the server sometimes crashes, even though sufficient
disk space and memory are available. When checking the HTTP log, the
log shows that certain calendars don't exist.
The solution to this problem is to back up the ics50gse.db
file to another file with a different
name, or remove the file from the db
directory.
<P>
If you are upgrading your iCS, make sure the GSE database queue is empty
before you perform the upgrade. To check the GSE database queue,
you can use either of the following commands while the server is either
running or stopped:
<P>
csschedule list
<I>OR</I>
csdb -v list
<P>
After issuing the command, if nothing is displayed, the GSE queue is empty, and
you can proceed to step 3 below. However, if the queue does contain
items, use the following steps to flush it:
<P>
<OL>
<LI>Start the server if the server is in a <I>stopped</I> state.
<P>
<LI>Stop only the cshttpd
daemon so that no new requests can
come in.
<P>
Note: It should take only a few minutes for the GSE to handle any requests.
Typically, the GSE queue will be empty.
<P>
<LI>Shut down iCS.
<P>
<LI>Rename the ics50gse.db
file.
<P>
<LI>Restart the server.
</OL>
<P>
If you have already upgraded the server and are experiencing the above
mentioned problems, use the following steps:
<P>
<OL>
<LI>Shut down iCS.
<P>
<LI>Rename the ics50gse.db
file.
<P>
<LI>Restart the server.
</OL>I forgot to mention that I've cleared out ~/Library/Caches/ for my test user, as well as deleted the iWeb .plist file.

Hi bunjamin,
just go to BlackBerry World, and update all your apps including BBM.

you can turn off the magnifying glass :

you can deactivate the "reset to Hub view" :

yes, BlackBerry has acknowledged this bug in this article from the public knowledge base:

Some read mail items remain marked as unread
Some read mail items remain marked as unread (even after I've read them).
I have to manually mark them as read.
This doesn't happen to all mail items, just some.
How can I fix this?A few discoveries I made this morning.
One is that disabling GPGMail seems to solve the problem, or at least significantly reduce its occurrence.
Another is that with GPGMail enabled, it seems to depend on how quickly one opens an email. I can't say for sure that this is a hard and fast rule, but messages staying unread seems to be more of a problem if you've just entered the folder or just been viewing another message and suddenly change to an unread one. It's as though GPGMail causes Mail to need some time to think things through.
A third is that if you have multiple mail accounts, a workaround to reset the unread count exists. If a mail folder in Account One is having problems, you can switch to a folder in Account Two, possibly wait an interval of time (not sure what that interval would be), then switch back to your original Account One folder. That seems to force a refresh of the unread count, without needing a folder rebuild (with consequent loss of expanded threads, etc).
However, for the time being, I've just disabled GPGMail. I can re-enable it as needed, by the looks of it, and it's not as though I've really needed to use it yet.
I could wish, though, that Apple offered proper GPG support, or at least that they made enough of their API available that third parties could do a proper job instead of an ugly and somewhat broken hack. (I've also seen complaints that Apple like to change their API without telling anyone, just to keep third-party developers on their toes =P.) I suppose another problem is lack of available time. Which I also suffer from, so I don't think a "real solution" is forthcoming from this quarter, at least. -
How to restore the contacts from iPad 2 to iPhone 5? I lost some of my contacts after deleting a closed email account; however I have them all in my iPad!
Do you see those in www.icloud.com? Yes- sign in to icloud on the phone.
No- how did you get those to the ipad? -
[Solved] Can't boot into Arch after deleting some partitons
About 6 months ago I installed Arch on a machine that used to run Ubuntu. Had some trouble at the time getting to boot into Arch but somehow managed. Now eventually decided to delete the old Ubuntu partitons to free up some space using gparted. Arch partition number changed from sda12 to sda6.
On rebooting after deleting ubuntu partitions with gparted, I got an ubuntu splash screen and a whole lot of ubuntu boot options. Somehow these were all contained in my Arch's /boot/grub/menu.lst. Arch is all on one partition and no separate boot partition (which I had with Ubuntu - maybe I haven't deleted that and this is the problem?). Will need to check that out.
I can chroot into Arch and did the following -
grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
(hd0,5)
grub> root (hd0,5)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
grub> setup (hd0)
Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... yes
Checking if "/boot/grub/stage2" exists... yes
Checking if "/boot/grub/e2fs_stage1_5" exists... yes
Running "embed /boot/grub/e2fs_stage1_5 (hd0)"... 16 sectors are embedded.
succeeded
Running "install /boot/grub/stage1 (hd0) (hd0)1+16 p (hd0,5)/boot/grub/stage2 /boot/grub/menu.lst"... succeed
ed
Done.

The Arch /boot/grub/menu.lst had a whole lot of ubuntu stuff in it but I edited to the following -

I need to post this now and come back from a different machine to note the error messages I am now getting on boot. ...
Note that when I boot and press esc to get the menu I get the menu.lst I created (in the second quote) above in /dev/sda6, ie the one with the Arch hd and uuid entries - so grub is looking there and finding that menu.lst, but something goes wrong after that.
OK. Have now booted the machine and after pressing esc and selecting the uuid entry (the same thing happens with the hd entry) I get a whole lot of stuff, but what seems relevant is (typing it out) -
List of all partitions:
No filesystem could mount root, tried:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
Pid: 1, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.39-Arch #1
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. This is my MythTV machine so the WAF is about to take a big dive!
If I could just install grub to the MBR as if this was a new installation of Arch that would be great.
I am really lost as to what is going on, which I'm sure is evident.
Thanks a lot

Last edited by belbo (2011-08-12 13:31:23)Hi. Unfortunately that didn't help.
So next, based on this post https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ke … el_version I chrooted into Arch and (a) rolled back and (b) reinstalled my kernel but that didn't help either. I suspected it wouldn't because the kernel was working fine before I deleted the partitions in question.

I then did a pacman -Suy and the linux package has now replaced kernel26. ( See this wiki entry http://www.archlinux.org/news/changes-t … filenames/). I didn't change anything in menu.lst owing to this and it seems there is no need to. Unfortunately this hasn't helped either - still getting the kernel panic.

I don't think I've mentioned that my old menu.lst seems to have disappeared and so must have been on one of the partitions that were deleted. I did have 2 Arch installations when I was setting things up months ago and that menu.lst may have been on the other partition but pointing to this partiton's kernel for booting. Presumably that's possible since this partiton is definitely the one I have been using for the last several months (confirmed by log and other files updated in the last few days etc). Even so, I suppose that probably wouldn't be relevant to this issue, since grub is finding the menu.lst on this partition when it boots so it is looking in the intended place now.
It seems I'm at a bit of a dead end. It seems these kernel panics are usually because there is something wrong with the kernel - which there wasn't with mine (and presumably the kernel in the new linux package is fine) or there is a typo in menu.lst (I can't see one and nobody has pointed one out yet) or menu.lst is pointing to the wrong partition (mine is pointing to the same partition and /boot directory that is found by grub - which is where my boot image is located - so it seems to be correct). I have nevertheless tried editing the menu.lst entry when booting to boot from different partitions but so far that hasn't worked either.
If anybody has other ideas I'd really appreciate it.
If not, some suggestions on re-installing would also be appreciated. I have a recent tar archive of the partition, but presumably reinstalling that wouldn't be of much use since it would just put back what is currently there. I guess that I need to format the partition, create a separate boot partition, do a fresh install of Arch into the formatted partition (and with boot in the new boot partition). And then restore my tar backup (excluding the boot directory) into the formatted partition?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks

PO Release Strategy not changed after deletion of few line items with less
Subject : PO Release Strategy not changed after deletion of few line items with less Total PO
Dear Friends
We have issue with PO Release strategy. We have created the PO. with release strategy with multiple approvers. After approval of first approval manager , one of the PO line item got deleted and Total PO value is reduced . The new PO value should have changed the PO release strategy. But it is not changed. Old release strategy only showing in the PO which is wrong.
Details of the PO
PO no 4500000123 with 5 line items Total PO value : 100,000 USD Release strategy : AB
PO line item 5 deleted. Now total PO value changed to 50,000 USD and the PO release strategy should have been changed to AA but not changed. Still showing PO release strategy AB only.
Are there any OSS notes available to correct his bug.
Please let me know if you need more details
Thanks in Advance

Podcast headers remain after deleting usnig the swip method added in 2.2
I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch with firmware 2.2 and I am able to delete podcasts with the swip method and it says it deletes them and they are removed from the list.
The problem is that if I shut the touch off and turn it back on, all of the podcasts I deleted are back in the list. They are still deleted because if I try to open one I get an error. It is really annoying that they reappear in the list even though they are deleted. I have to use iTunes to completely remove them from the list.
Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for it?
ThanksThat is strange and beyond me then. All I know is that after 2.2 arrived I stopped downloading podcasts on my computer and syncing to my Ipod and instead downloaded direct to my Touch via Wifi. At the time, I had some podcasts on my Touch that originated via a previous computer sync. It was these Podcasts that reappeared as what I called "phantom" podcasts after deleting directly on the Touch and powering down and then restarting.
As I said, they kept reappearing no matter how often I deleted, however after I removed them from my computer resident iTunes and then resync'd the Touch they stopped reappearing.
I also note that if you have any Wifi direct podcasts on your Touch and you sync it with iTunes, it will automatically transfer these podcasts to your computer resident iTunes and I found that these titles would also continue to reappear after being deleted on the Touch until again they were deleted from the computer resident iTunes and resync'd with Touch.
So, all I can say is since I have adopted this processure I have no more phantom podcast titles reappearing after powerdown.

After I burn my project from from FCPX onto a blue ray disk, in some scenes ther appears a flickering silver line or edge to some items such as aroiund faces or buildings etc
Precise information on your workflow together with a possible "photograph" of the problem would help with diagnosis.

I upgraded my Mac OS to 10.6.8 to see if that would solve some of my FF hanging issues. It did not. So I decided to try deleting the preferences file as suggested in the Troubleshooting section to see if that would help. Unfortunately after deleting the prefs.js file per the instructions, on all my printed pages the Footers are now located significantly higher on the page than they used to be. They are located about 3/4" up from the bottom of the page, whereas before they were always located about 1/4" up from the bottom of the page. (Thankfully, the headers are in the same spot as before, 1/4" down from the top of the page.)
I don't understand how this happened to the footer placement in deleting the preferences. The placement/location of the headers and footers is not something that the user can adjust in FF Preferences or in the Printing window as a preference. Only the content of the headers and footers can be modified in the Printing window.
I am stumped as to how this occurred. Is there a way to restore the footer placement back closer to the bottom of the page? The higher location of the footer is causing many of my lengthier one-page emails to have to extend onto a second page which is a waste of paper and file space.Try resetting the Page Margins to what you were using before deleting the prefs file.

I had Firefox 6 and I tried to update to Firefox 8 on my macbook. After downloading it and I tried to drag the icon into my applications folder and it asked if I wanted to replace the old Firefox. I clicked yes and it says some items had to be skipped. It says to click on each item and make certain changes but I don't know where to find the items that were skipped in order to click on them.
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop
*Firefox 8.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.
