Some iTune songs download at a low volume.

How do you permanently change the volume of an iTunes song so you don't have to keep adjusting it every time it plays?  Under the control tab on the library page, increase volume (ctrl + up page) and decrease volume (ctrl + down page) are listed options, but I can't get any respones.  Apple support told me to delete the songs and download again, but there was no change. Also, one song gets cut off before the song is over.

You are not addressing Apple here at all.
We are all itunes users just like you.
What is the issue?
Do you get an error message?
Perhaps if you explain your problem, then someone could help.

  • Why don't apple give iTunes song download for free, at least few of the song

Apple don't give free iTunes song download or bluetooth sharing. I am also an iPhone user and don't have a option to share my songs photos etc to others who are not using iPhone. I prefer free iTunes song download.

Why should they give you things for free? How many other stores do you walk into that give you things for free? Apple has to pay the artists and record companies for those songs, so Apple therefore has to charge you for them, just as in the case with any store. Apple does in some countries offer a free "song of the week". Look to the bottom of the iTunes Store for the "free on iTunes" button.
As to sharing songs with others, that's illegal, just as it would be if you made a copy of a CD and gave it away. There are third-party apps in the iTunes Store that do allow some limited sharing of files such as photos via Bluetooth with other iPhones, so you might do a search of the iTunes Store for "bluetooth" and see what comes up. If you want to share with others not using iPhones, you'll need to look to some other service such as Dropbox, Flickr, etc.
    Regards.

  • Poor sound quality on some iTunes songs

Downloaded some songs from iTunes and realized a really poor sound quality on some files.
The worst example is "Precious" from "Depeche Mode" (Album version). It seems to me that the AAC file is encoded at a much too high level, so its overdriven and distorted.
If i burn the song to CD and than analyze the track in WaveLab it is obvious that the song was encoded with a level more than 6dB over the usual level and i can see a lot of clippings.
Downloaded another song of another band that i allready have on CD, just to compare... and this song was much better. Even this was 3dB over the original CD level (and the song on CD had a peak level reserve of only 0.1dB), but while listening that song i heared no negative effects...
So from my point of view iTunes is not really an acceptable offer if i can't rely on a minimum sound quality of the songs that i pay for!
    So, the question is:
Is this normal or is the "Depeche Mode" album only one rare bad example???

    Yes, of cause, tried all.
EQ off, or EQ with all sliders a little below 0dB.
With my tests i saw no effect of the EQ to the CD burning quality.
Only if i change the CD burning options (in german "Lautstärke anpassen", something like "adapt volume" or so), than i get a CD that has the same bad quality, only at a lower volume.
The same distorted and overdriven sound with clippings at a lower level (peak -12dB).
What if it's really a bad file?
    Do they fix such files?
Will i have a chance to download it again? (without paying another time?)

  • 'Matched' Songes downloading with same (lower) bit rate.

Well this problem must been mentioned before but it seems hard to find in these forums - for me at least.  I have found a few cases where people have confused 'uploaded' for 'matched' - but this is certainly not the case here. Though Itunes may be confusing the terms by the looks of it
Quite simply: several lower bitrate songs are shown in my library with 'Matched' as their icloud status.  However when I delete them and download them from icloud, they come back with exactly the same bitrate as if they has been simply 'uploaded'.  This happens to me on two different libraries on a Mac and a PC respectively (same account though)!
Is this simply a known bug - a work in progress?
Perhaps there is already a thread about this in which case could someone point me to it?

i have also noticed this recently. let me explain a bit of the background
had a mac mini which i bought itunes match on and replaced some (not all) of my mpeg files with matched AAC files.
i then bought a macbook air but because of the small size of the SSD did not download the matched AAC files to it. at this point i pretty much stopped using my mini to manage my music and just used to MBA to add / stream files.
due to some amendments i wanted to make to some of the track info on an album i downloaded it. even though it was fully matched i was surprised to see some of the songs downloading as matched mpeg's. i was pretty certain they used to all be AAC files.
sure enough i went back to my mini and noticed that the album had originally downloaded all tracks as matched AAC files. i have checked the file thoroughly to ensure it isn't corrupt or anything and it plays perfectly. as a test i then deleted the AAC file and redownloaded to see what came up, it downloaded as an mpeg!
my questions to apple would be
why are these files now reverting back to mpeg's after being matched originally?
and (perhaps more importantly) HOW did they get this file to upload? is it even MY mpeg or someone else's that uploaded? as i have stated originally it matched so no uploading would ever have taken place.
this isn't a one off i might add. i thoroughly checked my entire library of 10,000 songs and have over 300 instances of this happening where i originally had the matched AAC file and am now left with an mpeg.
more strange itunes match behaviour. coupled with the constant 11111 error, the long 'sending information to apple' time and the clean / explicit debacle equals very shoddy service so far. and no word from apple on fixes or even an aknowledgement this is happening. poor.

  • Some Itunes songs in my library do not play. How do I play them?

Many of the songs purchased and located in my Itunes library do not play.  One of the common denominators with the non-playing songs is the Icloud with an arrow next to the song.  I've been instructed to click on these and nothing happens.     I've also checked my account for available downloads and receive a response indicating everything has already been downloaded.     My computer is authorized. The songs were purchased through Itunes and used to play.  I purchased the Icloud last year, never really used it and did not renew.   I spent 45 minutes (on the phone) with Apple support represenative yesterday. She did was not able to resolve the issue and after 15 minutes placed me on hold.  I waited 30 minutes for her ro return and finally hung up.
Perhaps, someone has had a simliar experience and can help me out.

    Hello Jeanette,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. Sorry to that there is an issue with some of your purchased songs.  First, I recommend trying to delete the problematic songs and redownload the songs from your past purchases.
Follow these steps to delete the song from your iPhone:
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf ):
You can follow the steps in the section titled "Apps, Books, Music, Movies, or TV shows on iOS" in the following article to redownload the songs (as long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the songs, you will not be charged for the songs):
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are still not able to play the songs after redownloading them, you can report an issue with these purchases using the steps in this article:

  • Song downloaded but has no volume

I downloaded 7 songs earlier this morning...Transferred them to my Ipod etc...However they have no sound.
Went back to my Itunes library and they're on there as well, but again have no volume.
    Any ideas/suggestions??
    TIA

    Hi,
In your iTunes library, song view add the iCloud status column. To do this go to menu  > view > view options and tick box. What is the status of both versions of the track?

  • Is there some way to download music with higher volume? It plays back too softly.

I downloaded a song for our tap class, but it doesn't play loud enough for us to hear it.

That's what iTunes -> Preferences -> Playback -> Sound Check does - equalizes the volume across tracks to provide a more-even playback.

  • Itunes song downloads are frozen in waiting, even though the songs are playable in my music on my phone.

Recently I have gotten a replacement Iphone 5c, because the first one had a swollen battery. I was having alot of issues syncing my music and in the end, i restored my computer to fix the issue. While my computer was restoring, i manually synced all of my music through icloud on my phone. I come to find out that 4 songs are basically frozen in the waiting stage to download. However when i go through the music IN my music on my phone, I can see the titles, and play them with no issue. The songs in order from top to bottom that are stuck are:
    1) Oops!...I Did It Again - Brittany Spears
    2) Party On - Blood on the Dance Floor
    3) The Shaggy Show - Insane Clown Posse
    4) Starstruck - Lady Gaga
There are no album artworks next to any of these titles. and i would like to get rid of these frozen downloads. Because no matter what I have done they won't go away. I have tried holding the home, and power button at the same time, shutting down my phone, and completely closing the itunes app. Nothing is working. Please help! because this is making me dislike apple, and Itunes more and more, because ever since i got this replacement phone, Apple and Itunes have been a nightmare for me to use.

You need to look in the top left corner of your song displayer where it says 'Album by Artist/Year' then click the arrow right beside it and click 'Album by Title' instead.

  • TS1424 iTunes song download not playing completely

The tune I bought in iTunes appears to have been fully downloaded in the iTunes window but stops playing before the end of the song.
    Any suggestions as to why??

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • ITunes song downloading error - may be corrupt?

I just recently downloaded 3 songs, 2 of them have gotten the message, this file may be corrupted try again later. I've tried downloading those songs about 5 times each, does anyone know the answer to this?

I'm having the same error but only one a few of the downloads. I am downloading many things at the same time and only one or 2 of the tracks are giving me this "stopped (err = 8003)".
Thus I assume its a server side (iTunes store) problem. Probably if I hit the gray arrow on the right to try the download again in the future, it will come through. Now I'm getting notifiers that iTunes is unable to check for purchases. Either the iTunes store severs are having problems for my ISP is.
My suggestion to people having this problem is wait a while and try the download again (see below), particularly if you've successfully download purchases in the past. That approach is partially working for me now. A few hours ago all of the downloads stopped. Now I've gotten a few more before the errors are popping up again. Even if this is your first attempt, if you're at home, i.e., not behind a corporate firewall save yourself the hassle of reconfiguring your home network (plugging directly into your modem or disabling your router's firewall) and just try again later.
In another forum I found a user ranting that he was buying the song/movie/whatever multiple times. In response to that: When you get one of these downloading errors you do not have to buy anything again. In left panel of iTunes, under the "STORE" heading click "Downloads". This will show you all the downloads pending and in progress. If any of them have problems you can use the "Resume All" button at the bottom to try them all again. Click the gray arrow circling back on itself at the right hand side of each item to restart the download of an individual item.
    Hope this helps
    -Jake

  • ITunes songs, downloaded but won't play

l'll be listening to a random shuffle on my iPad,  and seemingly randomly my iPad stops playing music. Next I'll select a song to play, the equalizer moves as if the song is playing, but no music comes out of the speaker and the song time tracking slider does not advance. I can seleat a song, which then shows up in the header but it won't play and music can't be heard. I've tried resetting, and that works for a short period of time, but this problem keeps coming back. I couldnt find a better  community to post this to, if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
