Some Journaled Calendar Requests get stuck in Submission queue - 550 5.6.0 - storage error in content conversion

I am having an issue on hub transport servers running Exchange 2010 SP3 RU6.
Where some journaled meeting request related messages (acceptances, etc.) get stuck in the Submission queue.
The error is:
400 4.4.7 The server responded with: 550 5.6.0 M2MCVT.StorageError; storage error in content conversion. The failure was replaced by a retry response because the message was marked for retry if rejected.
I raised the issue with our mail archiving vendor and they indicated this was an Exchange Server problem which should have been fixed in Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3, however we are running SP3 RU6 and the issue continues to occur.
I realize that we could just delete the stuck messages from queue but has anyone run in to this before and know how to prevent it from happening?
Thank You.

Hi Mike,
If you temporary disable\bypass third party Archiving , then what happens in the Queue.
Thanks , Prakash

    hello,
I had the same issue. This is what I was told to do.
iWork has to be removed completely to be effective when re-installing, you must use an application removal tool to do this or it wont remove every Keynote file.
Appcleaner   will do this and its free.
The following procedure has helped solve many issues with Keynote:
1  Close Keynote then use Appcleaner
    2  Empty the Trash
3  Shut down the Mac, then restart and press the shift key immediately after the startup sound, then release shift when the Apple logo appears
allow the Mac to boot up to the desktop, it will take longer then usual as the hard drive is being repaired
    4  restart the Mac
    5  Reinstall iWork
    6  Repair permissions:
Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > First  Aid:   click on your system disc in the drive column
              and select Repair  Disk Permissions
    7  open Keynote and test

  • Message getting stuck in XBQO queue - Time limit exceeded

    Hi All,
We have a BPM scenario in our project (on PI 7.0 SP18), where bundle of PEXR2002 Payment IDocs are received as a single flat file. This file is then consumed by the BPM, to split the message into multiple payments using Java Mapping.
However, when we get an IDoc file of size greater than 5 MB (more than 500 IDocs), the message gets stuck in XBQO queue and eventually giving a SYSFAIL with the message "Time limit exceeded". Could you please let us know if you have encountered a similar issue and are aware of a possible solution.
Any pointers to this will be really appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    ROSIE SASIDHARAN

    H Rosie,
    1)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT->possible values 0 - 2,097,151 (KB)
The parameter EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT enables serial processing of messages of a particular size. This applies for messages with the quality of service Exactly Once (EO). If the message is larger than the parameter value, the message is processed in a separate queue.
    2)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  HTTP_TIMEOUT->possible values n Seconds, where n is a whole number.
The parameter Specifies the timeout for HTTP connections (time between two data packages at line level). This value overrides the system profile parameter icm/server_port_n (for example, icm/server_port_0 : PROT=HTTP, PORT=50044, TIMEOUT=900). If you do not set the parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT or if you set the parameter to 0, then the setting for the system profile parameter is used.
See SAP Note 335162  for sysfail issue....
      Hope these will help u....

  • TNEF Issue - Winmail.dat or messages stuck in submission queue

    Hi guys,
I've looked around the forums and have found people that have had submission queue issues when they set TNEF to $null or $false, and have found that the unified answer is to set TNEF to $true.
I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
I have both issues. If I set TNEF to $true, I encounter the winmail.dat file problem. If I set TNEF to $false or $null, I encounter the submission queue issue (submission queue states "A transient storage failure occured", and users get a queue
expiration bounce). Neither of these states are acceptable. I cannot have messages stuck in the queue only to be expired, and I cannot have recipients in remote domains failing to receive attachments in emails.
Does anyone have a possible workaround that might resolve this particular situation? It seems that this has been an issue in Exch 2010.
    Current Environment Configuration:
I am running Exchange 2013 SP1 Standard on both of my CAS/MBX servers, running on Server 2012 R2 patched to the latest updates. I have an inbound spam filter, but mail outbound is not filtered, therefore the spam filter on our side should not play a role.
I do have not made any changes to the exchange default malware filter either. Other than this issue, mail is flowing correctly and as expected.

I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that all the remote domain's recipients would receive winmail.dat files when you send the message to them if TNEF is set to $true, right?
The Winmail.dat file is used to preserve Rich Text formatting. Outlook uses it when sending a Rich Text-formatted message. During transport, the content of the message may be changed, preventing the receiving client from being able to read the formatting
instructions. In other cases, the receiving client does not use or recognize the winmail.dat file.
I recommend that you refer to the following article to solve the issue:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061
Method 1: Change the default message format
The sender can change the format of the email messages that they send by using the following steps:
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click
    Mail Format.
In Compose in this message format, click to select Plain Text, and then click
    OK.
NOTE: To send to certain recipients that use RTF format and others recipients that use plain text format, the sender must set the option for the recipient in either the Personal Address Book or the recipient's contact record.
Method 2: Modify the recipient's entry in the Personal Address Book
The sender can use the following steps to remove the RTF format from the recipient attribute in the Personal Address Book:
On the Tools menu, click Address Book.
In Show Names From, click the Personal Address Book.
Select the addressee that you want to set as plain text, and then click
    Properties on the File menu.
In the SMTP-General tab, click to clear the Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich text format check box, and then click
    OK.
Method 3: Change the specific contact format
The sender can use the following steps to set plain text in the recipient's contact record:
Open the recipient's record in the Contacts folder.
    Double-click the recipient's e-mail address.
In the E-Mail Properties dialog box, click Send Plain Text only under
    Internet Format.
Method 4: Set the Outlook Rich Text Format Internet e-mail setting
In Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, click Options on the Tools menu.
    Click the Mail Format tab.
    Click Internet Format.
Under Outlook Rich Text options, click either Convert to HTML format or
    Convert to Plain Text format.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

    Niko,
The Winmail.dat issue is only part of the problem, as described in my original post. For these messages (which it's a different set of messages every time, and it's becoming impossible for me to track them all down), if I set exchange or outlook to encode
the message in Rich Text, the message gets encoded and sent to the recipient. Some of our recipients will reject the message because it is rich text, others receive a winmail.dat file.
However, if I set exchange to not encode messages (TNEF= $false or $null), the message becomes stuck in the submission queue and eventually times out with an error resembling "Storage Transient Failure".

  • Messages getting stuck in QRFC Queue

    Hi,
Today I noticed that a message had gotten stuck with the status "Sheduled for Outbound Processing" (scenario IDOC->XI->File), XI 3.0 SP11.
This in turn had the effect that the whole QRFC queue got stuck, and all following messages got stuck with status "Sheduled".
I had to remove the first message from the queue manually so that XI could start to purge the other messages from the queue.
What could be the reason for the first messages getting stuck with this status ("Sheduled for Outbound Processing")?
The message was very small, just a couple of lines. One thing that comes into mind, is that XI received 4 IDOCS for the same interface, within one second. These 4 messages were assigned to different queues, but one of them got stuck. Could there be problems with XI when several messages arrive on the same interface within a very short time?
Is it possible to use Alerts to detect this kind of problem in the future? As I have understood, Alerts only handle XI "errors", but according to XI, this message did not have an "error status", it just had the status "Sheduled for Outbound processing"..
    Thanks for any help,
    Hans

    Hi,
If the message got struck in Queue, you try to activate the queues in smq2 to reprocess the data instead of deleting it. This is the final solution. But you should able to see a dump in ST22 for this problem.
    thanks,

  • Messages Stuck in Submission Queue after Database failover to DR site

    Hi Everyone,
Yesterday Night we had a Database failover to DR site but emails were stuck in the submission queue to resolve we failed back the Database. We have Exchange 2010 SP3 Ru4 with Active-Active DAG across 2 AD sites.
After checking the connectivity logs on the Transport server i found out that the Transport server was trying to connect to the mailbox server where this database was residing directly instead of using the Transport servers in the 2nd site.
We have 4 more databases on the same server but for those databases there was no issues and the mail flow was working fine.
Only thing i checked is that we have about 700 GB of log files for this database. Could that can cause this issue.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response.
I did not restart transport service. I assume restarting transport service might have resolved the issue.
But, i want to know the reason why this happened as we have stretch DAG so this can cause major outage in case more mailbox database fails over.
Removing the logs files is what i am thinking to do maybe within this week.

  • Msgs getting stucked in inbound queue

    Hi All,
I am doing a jdbc- xi - ABAP proxy scenario. Data is coming into the R/3 via proxy but getting stucked up in inbound queue. When I go to the queue I can find entries with msg transaction recorded. When I manually execute the entry from the queue it is getting executed successfully.
In R/3 the msgs are with a green flag(scheduled). But when i execute it from inside the queue, I can see the success flag(chequered) one.
Why am I getting this problem?
Kindly help me debug this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jai Shankar.

    Hi,
Pls make sure your queues are registered and active...
you can register the queues using the SXMB_ADM transaction and executing the link "Manage Queues" in that.

  • Cookie set request gets stuck in loop

I have encountered a reproducible problem with the setting cookie dialogue box in Firefox that can lead to a denial of service condition on certain websites.
I have accept cookies and accept 3rd parties cookies set in preferences, but set to ask me every time.
This normally works and I'm asked if I want to allow for session, deny, allow always.
Under certain conditions the dialog box will be represented multiple times even if you select 'use this answer for all cookies from this website'. This has generally been intermittent, but I've managed to get it to reproduce on http://www.otherworldcomputing.com/
When loading this page the dialog box will just consistently appear ( even if you don't answer it immediately it disappears and reappears - possibly a script setting it?). No matter what answer you give the dialog will just reappear a few moments later.
You cannot close the window or Firefox as the dialog pops up after the window has closed and you cannot reply to it - Firefox itself hangs and has to be force quit. The Apple error reports lists the cause as a 'hang'.
I have tried this in safe mode and the problem still occurs

The first things that I ask, when someone encounters playability issues are:
1.) what brand of blank media was used? Verbatim and Taiyo-Yuden are about as good as it gets. Links in this ARTICLE.
2.) what burn speed was used? I usually drop down to about 1/2 of the max.
This ARTICLE goes into a few more details.
Let us know about the disc brand, and burn speed, please.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • I'm trying to set up a firefox sync account, but the captcha is invisible for some reason, so I get stuck at the `prove you're not a robot' step. What can I do?

I'm trying to set up firefox sync on my macbook. When setting up my account, the "prove you're not a robot" page loads with a blank captcha, so of course I can't go on.
At first I thought that adblock might be interfering, so I disabled it. No dice. Is there another add-on that might be causing a problem or a setting I should change? I'm running firefox 3.6.13 w/ Abine, but no other active add-ons, in MacOS 10.6.5.

By the way, this is in the brand new Firefox 4, not an extension.

Some of my friends using sony and with the time all their phones got slow. even sony z. It might be issue comes from android but any one will not like to use a slow phone for higher price.
apart from this z1 is best in camera elegant look and so happy to use... please check on the above issue..
    thanks

    Hi Bighatz1
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
For the camera issue, could you please go into Settings > Apps > scroll across to All > scroll down to Camera > tap Camera > tap Clear data - then test the camera again to see if this has helped.
In regards to the slowness of the operating system, this could be because there is a lot of data on the device, you could try deleting any apps, photos, videos etc. that you don't need anymore to see if it runs any faster than before.

  • Threads get stuck during load test

    Hi,
We are running some stress tests and receive some warnings about threads getting
    stuck.
My question is regarding the warning itseld, how can I know from the warning string
    what was the thread doing.
We got two kinds of warnings:
    1) Warnings regarding "null" requests, which look more or a less like this:
    <Jan 19, 2004 8:23:59 PM GMT> <Warning> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000337> <ExecuteThread:
'117' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default' has been busy for "1,411" seconds working
on the request "null", which is more than the configured time (StuckThreadMaxTime)
    of "600" seconds.>
    2) Warnings regarding "ConnectionXXX.SessionYYY", which look like this:
    <Jan 15, 2004 6:12:15 AM CST> <Warning> <WebLogicServer><BEA-000337> <ExecuteThread:
'9' for queue:'weblogic.kernel.Default' has been busy for "707" seconds working
on the request "connection72.session501", which is more than the configured time
    (StuckThreadMaxTime) of "600" seconds.>
Does anyone know what is the meaning of this part of the warning?
    TIA,
    Lior

    Hi,
Thanks for the explanation. My question was regarding the fomrat of the warning
    message.
Can I find out what was the thread doing according to the <request "null"> or
<request "ConnectionXXX.SessionYYY"> which appear in the warning?

Does anyone know what is the meaning of this part of the warning?Basically it means that given threads spent time processing requests
that exceeded configured threshold (600 second is a default value).
When it happens, weblogic signals this situation with the warnings
above. It's done to notify about potential exhausting of execute threads.
If the request processing times above are normal, you need to increase
the threshold to eliminate these messages. If not, you may want to find
out why it's taking so long.
Let me know if you have more questions.

  • JMS Messages getting stuck in queues

    Hi,
I am facing this peculiar issue with queue messages not getting picked up.
Application Architecture: There is 1 JMS queue ( which resides in WLDomain1 with in a Unix Box) and there are 2 windows boxes having 2 weblogic domains each with 3 instances of MDB deployed on each of the domains. So total of 12 consumers (2 Box * 2 Domain * 3 Instances of MDB) listens to the JMS queue.
Issue: After bringing everything up I am able to see 12 consumer count listening to the queue. But when I run the application which writes total of 13 messages in the queue only 7 of them are getting processed and 6 messages are always getting stuck in the queues. Interestingly this 7 messages are mostly getting processed by consumers with in the same windows box. And the selection of windows box is completely random. To confirm whether both the windows boxes are configured fine I tried to test them individually and it works fine individually, the problem happens only if I bring up both the boxes together.
Another observation is, if I bring down the non working domains, the pending messages start getting processed by the working domains. It gives an impression that the non working domains seem to lock the messages for processing but doesn't actually process it. Only when I bring down the domains it releases this lock.
Below is the JMS Life cycle events I captured from log files :

    Hi,
The problem may be conflicting names in your configuration. To ensure proper operation of WL Security, JMS, JTA, and JDBC, make sure that (A) each domain has a unique name, and (B) no two WebLogic servers have the same name (even if in two different domains).
To ensure a more even distribution of messages, either simply send more than a token amount messages (eg, a hundred or so, rather than just 12), or configure a custom connection factory on the domain that hosts the queue, reduce MessagesMaximum on the connection factory to 1, and then modify each MDB to refer to the custom connection factory. The MessagesMaximum setting controls the number of messages that can be pre-pushed (pipelined) to a single asynchronous consumer.
For more information see "Best Practices for JMS Beginners and Advanced Users" in the latest versions of the JMS admin guide, and "JMS Performance & Tuning Check List" in the WebLogic Performance and Tuning guide.

  • Messages getting stuck in Queue

    Hi All,
In my scenario data is coming from database into XI and creating a file in SAP. The messages are getting stuck in the Queue and in message monitoring the status is showing as 'waiting'. Earlier the messages were getting successfully processed but system was running slow for the past two days. Is this because of system speed or some data issue?
For testing pupose I have deleted the old messages from Smq2 and tried but every new message is getting stuck in the queue. Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Aparna

Please check the following blog :
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/04/27/how-to-deal-with-stuck-eoio-messages-in-the-xi-30-adapter-framework
try cancelling oldest messages, this should unblock queue

  • Background step in workflow remains in process: Workflow gets stuck up

    Hi Gurus,
I have custom workflow for organization management. The workflow takes information from e-forms(notifications) and updates the infotypes.
The step which updates infotypes is run as background step. However in some cases the workflow gets stuck up in this step.
This happens irregularly (once or twice in a month).
On processing these workflow instances using SWPC , nothing happens and the workflow remains stuck up in the same step.
Also checked for dumps but nothing available under WF-BATCH.There is no regular pattern for occurance of these instances.
Can you please suggest what can be the possible cause of them getting stuck up in the background task.
    Regards,
    Rohit

Check ST22 shortdumps again. Look not only for WF-BATCH but also look for the intitator or the last processor's ID. Sometimes they would be the assigned the user to execute the step ecven if it's a background task.
Also, I would suggest looking through the code of the method that is being executed carefully. Make sure there are no 'EXIT' or LEAVE' statements. This could also 'sometimes' cause the background process not to return correctly. In addition, check that you are not executing an ever lasting loop.
If you have access in PRODUCTION, try to execute the method in debug mode to see where the program is inappropriately stopping (t-code SWO1).
