Some layers in Photoshop cannot be seen, is this a buffering problem?
Maybe these layers' visibility has been disabled. That'll be the case if there's a space where there normally is an eye to the left of a layer name in Layers panel. Click the space/eye to toggle visibility.

Yesterday the module AIP-SSM-20 of the customer for second time in the last 5 month present a error on the sensor and is just the sensor stop the analyzed of packet.
When the problem is present you can access the management interface, the interface respond de ICMP packet, you can monitoring event but just show me the same 3 event, that show you below:

The two time that this problem was happening I just reload the sensor and then it´s work again.
My question is; why the sensor stop analyzed packet?
Could be the ASA?
Best regard.It could be a issue with IPS. You need to collect show-tech-support and contact Cisco TAC. Logs may have relevant information as to why packet inspection had stopped.

On my 8500 a plus some apps say they cannot connect to server. others have no problem. Any ideas?
HP officejet pro 8500 a plus with windows Vista.
Since day one trying to use screen on printer to access apps I can access some and other "kids only for example" will say "the printer is unable to access the server. Check your internet connection and try again" It does this on about 40% of the apps pre loaded on printer from turn on. The other open up just fine and I can print them off.
Any ideas?I have seen this problem but I don't know the solution to it.
But you can also manage your Apps, including printing them at eprintcenter.com.
Click on Add Printer (upper left area of page) and sign up your printer there. You will need the printer code; if you don't have it, click on How do I find the printer code? (in blue) under where you enter it and follow the instructions.
Once you are in, go to the My Print Apps section and select the App you want to look at. You can schedule delivery of apps so that they print out on the days and time you choose.

I strongly recommend that you use a password for each login account but primarily for your admin account which will also be required when installing any software that uses an installer and/or for something being installed to the root directory of the hard drive such as a virus would likely require. If you are ever prompted for your admin password out of the blue to install anything without purposely trying to install anything, you should always decline which not having an admin password negates.
Many single users of a Mac have an admin account (obviously and required) but create a login account without admin privileges for every day use as added security.
Besides turning on the built-in Firewall, do not enable any services/ports that you don't need or regularly use and select all options via the Advanced button under the Firewall tab. -
I have photoshop CS4 with the newest update. I'm a photographer and just purchased the new canon 7d mk II. Today, I shot some photos on raw but am unable to pull them up in photoshop. A window pops up saying "photoshop cannot recognize this type of file. The thumbnails are white with a blue and white CR2 on them. Please help.

The problem is that your new camera is supported by ACR 8.7 and only Photoshop CS6 and up supports this version.
So if you do not want to buy CS6 or subscribe to the $10/month Photography Program, you have to convert the CR2 files to DNG to work on them. Your original CR2s are untouched in the process, you just can't directly edit them in CS4, only the DNGs.
Maybe Canon offers editing software for their CR2s, but CS4 is not going to be updated and there is no way around that.
It's not what you want to hear, but that's the situation so far.
Maybe Elements or Lightroom has updated raw support for your camera, so I encourage you to visit those forums and ask.

Can't view all layers in Photoshop
Hi everyone,
I can't seem to view all my layers in Photoshop (using CS6 via Creative Cloud on a Mac) when I'm duplicating from another file. I have two files usually open - my mockup file I'm working on for a UI project, and various templates files which I'm trying to add various UI element so that I can cut and paste various UI elements into my file. I duplicate a layer group and send it to my file, and they'll show up in the Layers panel, but the content isn't displaying on the screen - I've double checked that it isn't buried somewhere and is visible. Or I've had it where the Layer will display, but it'll transform the contents into a Layer that loses the ability to edit the text.
When I've tried it with various files, I've had mixed results of what I can add to my mockup file. I duplicated layers from a PSD of grds (http://www.ravelrumba.com/photoshop-grids/) ok into my new file, but when I try and duplicate a layer that has a photograph or any Vector art and send it to my destination file, the Layer shows up in the Layer panel but the content doesn't show up on the screen. It works for some PSDs ok, but often not with others. This is true for individual layers and a group of layers.
Is there something specific I have to be able to do to make content display?
I tried the 'video card' issues that I've read about, but someone told me that's more something that affects PCs (I'm running a MacBook Pro).
Any ideas?I think you solved it! I just looked, and a few of the layers in question ARE off the canvas - so at least I'm seeing them now once I've zoomed out and seen the entire canvas and black background area. I think I wasn't thinking about that because a lot of these template files of all possible UI elements are huge in size, so when I added it to my much smaller document, they are by default going to be off the canvas (especially if the canvas size is 2000 x 8000 pixels!) of the other document. I was thinking somehow that they'd show up by default closer to the middle of my document.

How do I put layers into photosop with out them merging? So I can edit them in photoshop. Even when I export it still merges some to most of the layers. Thanks
You cannot export layers as such from Illustrator to Photoshop.
However you can copy objects from Illustrator and paste them into Photoshop.
You can do this repeatedly, building Photoshop layers as you go.
The most important trick is to get the pasted objects to register together.
You do this by making little register rectangles, that correspond to the corners of your Photoshop canvas, at top left and bottom right.
Copy and paste these along with the other objects and delete them when you have finished. -
Cannot open file, Photoshop is not compatible with this version of photoshop. 2 weeks
This has been a problem for almost 2 weeks now. Cant save any work in photoshop, files are unretrievable once closed. I get the same error message. I spent all of last week online with Adobe Tech support, screen sharing conference etc, now iMac isnt working properly. AAARRFGGHH.

Last week Adobe via screen share uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop, took a few hours and still nothing. I have lost many hours work here. Cant reach Adobe and I am really pissed off. Cant reach a human via the support emails they aren't working. I have asked to speak to a Programmer or Manager for help with this and I have received none!

I should add that last night I tried to contact Adobe to see what the hold up was. I went and tried to open up the case file (No it had not been withdrawn and was still active), but it would not open. So, I started up a new support file with a whole new case number, I received an email this morning from Adobe saying that I would have to communicate with them through the original case #. Went to respond to this email today and the NEW case file had been withdrawn.
Yes, I have read all the user forums on this stuff for months, NO I am not using any Anti Virus stuff, No I did not upgrade my Macs at the time of the prob appearing! Thanks

Is there an issue with Edit Auto-Blend Layers in Photoshop CC 2014?
The command Edit > Auto-Blend Layers in Photoshop CC 2014.1 does not seem to produce the expected results for me. For example, I used the Edit > Auto-Blend Layers command when I was doing the exercise on Adding Depth of Field starting on page 122 of the Photoshop CC 2014 CIB. The results: Instead of the foreground and background being both in focus, only the foreground was in focus. The background was out of focus. And, when I turned off visibility of the foreground layer, the background layer showed as transparent.

Since installing the latest update of Photoshop CC two days ago, Auto Blend for focus stacking is selecting all pixels from the bottom layer instead of selecting the ones in best focus from each layer. Has anyone else seen this problem? -
Display help where it cannot be seen
I am learning iWeb, so I am using the iWeb help alot. Each and every time, when I choose help, the help dialog box appears under the iWeb window, meaning I have to move the iWeb window around until the help is visible so I can click on it. Command ~ or command tab will not display it.
This makes no sense, to display help where it cannot be seen.
Am I missing some setting?

bobBob ~ The default behavior appears to be that the Help window floats on top of other windows (see here), so I don't understand why yours is different.
Anyway, one speculative thing to try is deleting some relevant plist files. (You should have a backup of your system in case you don't like the result!)...
First quit iWeb and close its Help window and then navigate to your Home folder > Library > Preferences
...then look for these files:
com.apple.iweb.plist
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist
Drag them to the Trash, start iWeb and see if that has made a difference. -
I used Migration Assistant to transfer from MBP (Leopard OSX 10.6.8) to Mac Mini (Lion OSX 10.7). Documents cannot be "seen" or "found". Ditto Music , movies, and pictures.Stumped!
System Preferences/Users & Groups shows you the various user accounts you have.
Look at your hard drive in the Finder sidebar. You should see Applications, Library, System, and Users. If you look in Users you will see a Shared folder. From the user Migration Assistant created, find the iTunes folder and drag it to Shared. Log out and log in using your normal user account, go to the same place and copy it to Music in your normal user account. Another option is to leave it in shared so any user can access it. You will have to tell iTunes where to find the music by going to iTunes/Preferences/Advanced.

How Can You Bring Illustrator Cs5 Layers into Photoshop Cs5?
Hi everyone, Is it possible to bring Illustrator artwork into Photoshop so that the layers in Illustrator are layers in Photoshop, and so that all the content is arranged as it was in Illustrator.
What I have been doing is bringing in a shape or a group of shapes into Photoshop by pasting them into a layer in PS then bringing in some more stuff from another layer in Illustrator and pasting that into another layer in PS but obviously it's a mission to line up the contents again so it is arranged like it was in Illustrator in the first place.

Well, then you probably haven't read carefully enough about what can be set up when exporting as .psd in Illustrator.
When you export as .psd there are several export options about preserving layers. As mentioned, there are some restrictions.
But tell me, what is unclear about the following quote?
Write Layers
Exports groups, compound shapes, nested layers, and slices as separate, editable Photoshop layers. Nested layers that are more than five levels deep are merged into a single Photoshop layer. Select Maximum Editability to export transparent objects (that is, objects with an opacity mask, a constant opacity less than 100%, or a blending mode other than Normal) as live, editable Photoshop layers.
Preserve Text Editability
Exports horizontal and vertical point type in layers (including nested layers up to five levels deep) to editable Photoshop type. If doing so compromises the appearance of the artwork, you can deselect this option to rasterize the text instead.
Maximum Editability
Writes each top-level sublayer to a separate Photoshop layer if doing so doesn’t compromise the appearance of the artwork. Top-level layers become Photoshop layer sets. Transparent objects remain editable transparent objects. Also creates a Photoshop shape layer for each compound shape in a top‑level layer if doing so doesn’t compromise the appearance of the artwork. To write compound shapes with solid strokes, change the Join type to Round. Whether or not you select this option, all layers over 5 levels deep are merged into a single Photoshop layer. -
Unable to link layers in Photoshop CS
I have Photoshop CS. In the box showing the layers I've made, there is no longer a small checking box to the left of each enabling me to link a layer with others. If I hold the cursor over the looped "link" symbol at the bottom, an "unavailable" symbol appears. Does anyone know how I get the link boxes back please? Thanks David5119
Thank you. I didn't know I could select more than one layer by holding down the Ctrl key and that, when I do that, the link symbol appears. Don't know at what point the link check boxes disappeared as they were certainly there originally; maybe when I reinstalled Photoshop for some reason. But a big thank you - your advice worked. Hi,
It sounds like you have an photoshop version cs2 or newer.
To link layers in photoshop cs2 and newer versions, the layers you want to link need to be selected first in the layers panel and then press the link icon at the bottom of the layers panel.

Is it possible to import adjustment layers from Photoshop to use in a Premiere Pro CS6 timeline? This could open up some options for color grading.

Some Photoshop layer attributes aren’t supported, such as special blending modes and the Knockout option. For best results, use basic transparency and opacity in Photoshop. Adobe Premiere Pro does support most Photoshop blending modes.
Premiere Pro imports attributes that were applied in the original file, including position, opacity, visibility, transparency (alpha channel), layer masks, adjustment layers, common layer effects, layer clipping paths, vector masks, and clipping groups. Photoshop exports a white background as opaque white, whereas it exports a checkerboard background as a transparent alpha channel when exporting to a format that supports alpha channels.
Importing layered Photoshop files makes it easy to use graphics created in Photoshop. When Premiere Pro imports Photoshop files as unmerged layers, each layer in the file becomes an individual clip in a bin. Each clip’s name consists of the layer name followed by the name of the file that contained it. Each layer is imported with the default duration you select for still images in Preferences.

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) issue....
Vista installed SP2 last night....Have DEP issue today. Latest Flash PLayer is the culprit. DIsabling it doesn't help, only uninstalling does. Tried unistalling then reinstalling...Same problem. Any insights?

Dear all, I am working on some queries which are using in CRM 7.0. I found most BI queries are 3.X version which are using in CRM. I just wonder how the 3.X queries can be displayed like 7.0 look in BI query? For example, the BW 3.X web template 0T
