Some links to Lightroom Beta forums broken

i'm participating in the Lightroom beta program. when i
attempt to go to

it resolves to
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=labs_earlybird,
which is a page titled, "Flex 2 and Flash Player 8.5 Public Alpha

can we get that situation rectified, please? thank

    Hello Forum Support Staff,
    If I try to say "Mark All Threads as Read" it is supposed to mark all threads as read. However, this doesn't work in the last couple of days. I don't know why. Sometimes it greyes out some threads and leaves the other threads as unread. I even tried to open every message in hope it will set it to read but no results whatsoever.

    Anyone else got this after the update? From Lightroom, I select "Edit in Photoshop". Photoshop opens, but the photo never does.

  • What happened to the Lightroom 5 Beta forum? Deleted, not archived or merged?

    What happened to the Lightroom 5 Beta forum? I understand that LR5.2 is now in full release, but it would be nice if the Beta forum was locked and archived for reference. It seems to have been completely deleted, along with some detailed feedback by myself and other Beta testers. (I can't find it if it is archived, anyway.) None of my many, many LR5Beta forum contributions are listed in my "Content" tab in my Adobe profile. All of the links to the LR5Beta discussion in which I contributed to (such as http://forums.adobe.com/message/5271729#5271729 ) lead me to this message:
    "Unauthorized
    It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake."

    Big thumbs up for Pete.Green and Daniel T! Thank you for this incredibly fast response! I worked very hard on explaining my "Advanced Adjustment Brush" proposal back in May 2013, and I am glad that it is again available for reference... in fact, even better, as it appears that the thread is now fully unlocked and availble to reply to. I still firmly believe this proposal is the way forward for Lightroom's local adjustment tools in the future.  I hope that the remainder of the LR5Beta forums will eventually be brought back for reference.

  • Welcome to the Lightroom 4 beta forum!

    It's that time again!  Welcome to the beta forum.
    You can read all about the new release at the Lightroom Team's blog, download the beta and then feel free to ask as many as questions (and report as many bugs!) as you like.  We're here to help.
    Most importantly, enjoy it!

    screenshot for reference. You might also see quite a few LR4 related posts on the LR3 forums. I guess the reason is the link in question.

  • HELP!!  I viewed my "backup" files, and now ALL of my photos are no longer "linked" to Lightroom.

    I thought I was missing some files, so I viewed my backup files.  I received a "warning" that Lightroom would restart and view my backup files.  I did NOT receive any warning, that there was NO GOING BACK!!  I've tried everything.  I cannot re-link ANY of my photos.  Well, I did just do one, and it told me all the other photos in the folder were corrupt and Lightroom would not be able to edit them (and no, it was not an exported .jpeg file).  Fortunately, I am not concerned about this folder, that's why I tested it.  I was forced to moved all of my photos from my C drive to my D drive because for some weird reason on this computer, my D drive is 5 times bigger and I ran out of room.  When I did that, I was able to relink all the pictures.  Sadly, it didn't keep my Folders, it just relinked them all by date.  That I can deal with, even though it makes finding photos much more difficult, but I wasn't about to try to rename any of them and have to relink again.
    Now, I can't relink any of them because it appears in Lightroom that all photos are back in the C drive and therefore, the new photos that I placed on the D drive are not there, and nothing will relink, period, not even the ones that were originally on my C drive!
    I have never been so aggravated in my life.  I LOVE Lightroom capabilities.  I have version 2.3.  When I look it up on the online help, all I get is how the photos are in whatever location they were saved, but they are linked, etc.  I already know that part.  I seriously wish I had NEVER looked at my backup files.  I don't think I'll bother backing up stuff anymore because apparently looking at the backup messes up everything.
    I fully anticipated that I would be able to go back, choose my folders on my D drive and have all of my current photos available.  Sadly, not.
    My user name should be FREAKED OUT!

    Thanks!  I've been practicing deep breathing between yelling at my computer.  I use Windows 7.  I was in my "regular" Lightroom photos, and I couldn't locate some pictures I took last December.  So, I thought, well, why not look at the back up files?  I'm normally excellent at remembering exact steps, but I'm so worried about all of my thousands of photos, I can only explain what I think I did.  I went into Windows Explorer, and chose the backup files.  When I did, I received the warning about Lightroom restarting and loading the backup photos.  I hesitated for a full minute, but thought, well, isn't that what backup files are for?  So, I selected it. Lightroom opened the backup photos without any problem.  But, when I went back, and tried opening the photos that were linked to Lightroom, they were no longer linked.  When I click on the formerly linked photos, they just open in Windows Explorer, not Lightroom.  When I open Lightroom, it has says all the photos are "missing."  All of the folders are listed in my C drive (in Lightroom), not where they'd been moved to on my D drive.  The one photo I relinked, stated the photos in that folder could not be edited in Lightroom.  So, I'm afraid to try to relink anymore of them. Also, as I said, any photos that I originally imported to my D drive are not showing up in Lightroom at all.
    I would say, I normally learn software quickly. That was my experience with Lightroom.  I installed it, went through all of the online training sessions, and have loved it.  Admittedly, I'm sure there are features that I don't make use of that many people do, but I'm just a passionate photography nut, not a professional.
    The online help basically explains the linking, and even how to relink if you "move" a file, a folder to another location.  It doesn't cover this, or not where I can find it.
    I've think I've given up on yelling at the computer, now I just have knots in my stomach about getting photos relinked.  I have probably 80% of them exported, with the adjustments I made, but that does not make me feel one bit better.
    Thanks!!!

  • Some {@link} tags do not seem to generate hyperlinks

    Hi,
    I am having some trouble getting some {@link} tags to generate hyperlinks. Specifically, {@link} tags to methods in classes in other packages. I've tried specifying the method arguments, including the fully qualified argument types, but I cannot get the output to generate hyperlinks.
    In the example at the end of this post, I have a {@link} to a class as well as three {@link} tags to one of its methods. (Note the wrapping of the link tags in the example is due to the line length limits of the text area in which I entered this posting--they are NOT wrapped in the original code.) The hyperlink for the class gets generated. The method names all get expanded in the output to include their argument lists, so I know it's finding the methods, and the method names are in a fixed font, but they're not hyperlinks!
    I didn't get any errors or warnings, and I'm using j2sdk1.4.1. I used the following command, with Sun's API package-list in the current directory (.) and generating the output to the html subdirectory:
    javadoc -d html -linkoffline
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/api . DocTest.java
    Any ideas what's wrong?
    Thanks,
    Robbie
    P.S. I also included the HTML output at the end even though you can't see the hyperlink for the LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy class.
    **** Example Program
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    * This is a class to test out javadoc links.
    * <p>It uses class {@link javax.swing.LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy}
    * <p>It uses the method:
    * {@link javax.swing.LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy#getComponentAfter}
    * <p>It uses the method:
    * {@link javax.swing.LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy#getComponentAfter(Container,Component)}
    * <p>It uses the method:
    * {@link javax.swing.LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy#getComponentAfter(java.awt.Container,java.awt.Component)}
    public class DocTest
    public DocTest ()
    *** Here is a cut-and-past of the HTML Output
    *** Note that LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy class is a hyperlink in the
    *** original HTML, but the three methods are not, but even the first
    *** method has been expanded to include its arguments, so I know it's
    *** finding the method name:
    public class DocTest
    extends Object
    This is a class to test out javadoc links.
    It uses class LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy
    It uses the method: LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy.getComponentAfter(java.awt.Container, java.awt.Component)
    It uses the method: LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy.getComponentAfter(Container,Component)
    It uses the method: LayoutFocusTraversalPolicy.getComponentAfter(java.awt.Container,java.awt.Component)

    Sadly, the -link option is broken in two severe ways in 1.4.1:
    4652655 @link does not link to external -link'd classes
    See bug report: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4652655.html
    4720957 link and -linkoffline creates wrong link to ../../../http&#058;//
    See bug report: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4720957.html
    There are no known workarounds.
    We believe we have fixed these for 1.4.2. The state of -link wasn't much better in 1.4.0.
    Here are the major bugs in javadoc 1.4.1:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/relnotes.html#javadoc
    and the major bugs in javadoc 1.4.0:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/relnotes.html#javadoc
    The main -link bug in 1.4.0 appears to be this:
    Links to external methods using -link or -linkoffline are not generated. No known workaround. Bug 4615751

  • Some links don't work in Safari

    I ran a whole bunch of software updates a while ago (funny, after the entire process, nothing actually updated... I had to run it again later), and somehow, in the process, something went wrong with Safari. Now, some links don't work. It's mostly links in the content portions of webpages. For example, things like the Store/Mac/etc buttons at the top of the Apple site work fine, but things like links in forum signatures don't. I have to open them in a new tab. I tried updating Safari, but it didn't fix anything. I've tested Firefox and Camino and they work fine, but Safari is my browser of choice, so this is pretty irritating. Any ideas as to what's causing this and how to fix it?

    You might try installing a fresh version of SafariStand and see if you still have the problem with dead links. I'm not familiar with the 'Quick Search' feature but you could have a look at Glims. Don't try to run both Glims and SafariStand together.

  • Can you share some links for SCM & MFG on Fusion ?

    Can you share some links for SCM & MFG on Fusion ?

    I was under the impression that having a journal would be safer, not just for the boot drive. Any volume that is not properly unmounted before removed (or the couputer is turned off) might be left in an incomplete save state, since data might have been saved to buffers only, not to the disk proper.
    To me safer would be better. Apple has added journaling to HFS+ which is good, and there are several journaling file systems for Linux. Nothing in common. Not even with Windows. I guess I will have to use HFS+ with the journal turned off, but it seems suboptimal to me.

  • Making Detailed Navigation show, and put som links in there.

    Hi!
    I am trying to make some links show in Detailed Navigation(DN), but no matter what page i setup it doesnt show and when i expand DN my iviews still doesnt show.
    I`ve tried to alter my default framework file at the inner page setup to make DN show, with no luck...
    And i have tried to alter each page to make it show.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
    Yes sure!! this was much better explaination
    But as far as I know there is no way that you can show the iViews in the detail navigation if it is added to the page.
    Look what the hierarchy of these are:
    <b>Workset|_ Page1|_ iView11.
                       |_ iView12.
                       |_ iView13.
                |_ Page2--|_ iView21.
                |_ Page3--|_ iView31.</b>
    But yes there can be one way out, you can directly add the iView to the workset. Then those specific iViews can be displayed in the detail navigation.
    <b>Workset|_ Page1|_ iView11.
                       |_ iView12.
                       |_ iView13.
                |_ Page2--|_ iView21.
                |_ Page3--|_ iView31.
                |_ iView_41
                |_ iView_51
                |_ iView_61 </b>
    By this arrangement you can add those three iViews which you are talking about to the workset and then view it in the Detail navigation .

    Hi
    We will fix this.
    The particular problem you noticed is one that we will be addressing with the RTM version of CR Viewer XI. We mentioned only Win XP was supported in the release notes âu20ACu0153For Technical Preview, the Crystal Reports Viewer XI is supported only on Windows XP in English.âu20AC
    Root Cause
    The root cause is that GDI+ is not installed already on Windows 2000. We will be changing our install to add it. However, if you would like to continue to use CR Viewer XI Tech Preview (we hope you will) => You can download and install GDI+ yourself: If you google âu20ACu02DCGDI+ Windows 2000 Microsoftâu20AC(tm) youâu20AC(tm)ll see the links Many thanksCR Viewer XI Tech Preview/Beta Team Ps We will be sending a survey to beta participants at the end of the beta period, and we look forward to your feedback in that survey. In particular, would you be willing to read through the Tech Preview release notes and see if any of the known issues have a big impact on your potential use of CR Viewer XI = that feedback in the survey will be very important for us [the release notes are available at http://diamond.businessobjects.com/node/3023 ]</span></font></p>

  • Cannot open links in a website AFL dream team, I can log in and some links open but many don't. All other sites ok that I have tried just this one Please help

    I can login ok and open some links but unable to open links to other pages within site. I have tried a similar fantasy league of supercoach which has a very similar format and all links on that site work ok. Is this a viral thing or computer issue or site issue? I can access the site via other computers and all ok then. Please help

    I saved my driver install file, so I tried reinstalling that, then tried updating to the latest driver for my video card, updating quicktime, uninstalling and installing an older version of quicktime instead, and nothing has worked.  I think I'm back to my little red herring.  So after some googling, it seemed "cineform.cab" was a Sony Vegas thing (so I had it somehow still living in my files from a couple years back), so I got a disc from my friend who'd made me try Vegas in the first place, and reinstalled.  The "cineform.cab" file is back, yet my problem remains.  *headdesk*  So that part is looking busted as to being my problem.
    But I'm back to thinking about that Cineform Neo Scene trial, and it would be a huge coincidence if uninstalling that didn't cause the problem (seeing as I've ruled out almost everything under the sun).  And what Neo Scene does is convert mov files to avi for better playback and editing in Premiere, and it installs something that makes those avi files playable in Windows Media Player.  And I'm getting weirdness in Premiere with mov files and in Windows Media Player with certain avi files.  It *has* to be that that trial unistalled (or installed and didn't remove, but I doubt this since I know all was working smoothly while the trial was still active) something it should not have.  Right?  Or am I just going crazy here?
    I guess it's time to try seeing if Cineform tech support will help me without me buying their product.  Like a list of everything their uninstaller kills would be nice.
