First, excuse me for my poor english.
I have 3 little problems and I would like to know if it's come from me....
- If you move the locator of the begining of the song, its position is not recognized for the freezes... For exemple your song start at bar -8 and the the freeze still starts from 0...
- When you bounce (offline) or freeze a track where Waves Tune is used, you experiment some random cracks and blank not eared in realtime.
- When you choose a piano staff mode in the score view, you can't move a note fom a staff to another... You can choose the split point, but if you need to change it during the song, you can't...
Somedy has soluces ?? Or Logic's got some bugs ?

I have yet to see anyone start a song at bar minus8 (-8). Please start all songs, in any sequencer, not just Logic, past bar 0. Freeze Tracks are set to start at the beginning of the song, which in Logic IS bar 0. Not Before 0. Please change this on your song.

This might be a problem specific to the Waves Tune plugin. Please render your tuned files instead of freezing the track.

This I don't know about as I rarely venture into the Score Editor. Did you try to copy / paste the note to the new (target) staff ???

Nokia N8 - Little Bugs

I know everyone has different things going on with their wonderful N8's frm like little bugs as i would like to put it...I recently received my Nokia N8 and i will say that i am happy with what i have accept for the fact that their are a few little things that i come across that irritate me sometimes. Now i know some people might dissagree but i will say this everyone that owns the phone is having some lil problem..
Firmware Upgrade Suggestions:
1). When double tapping on image in the photoviewer..(After tapping to zoom in the Screen goes blank..
2).Please add a feature to add album art in the N8 like the N95 and 5800.
3). Sometimes during texting or even just browsing the web - the phone goes back to the home menu out of nowhere (and yess my fingers are nowhere near the exit or home button)
4). Can you make an app for Facebook so that we dont have to log in first through OVI....
5). Video loading during playback....Please fix that
6). When in the music library i click the option GO TO MUSIC STORE (it just takes me back to the home screen)
7). Can add back Video Ringtones... I miss those
8). I dont like the lagg of 2 sec when tryting to go through the menu (and yess i have all applications closed)

I am unable to replicate the blank screen fault when double tapping 12mp images on my '3' UK dark grey N8. Maybe try saving to the memory card instead of internal memory?? Also there is no 2 second delay in the menu on mine or videos stopping, be sure not to close the menu and it comes up instantly! There must be something different about the 3 branded firmware, I can't find many glitches!!

Some little problems with XFCE

Now that Gnome2 is gone from the repos and Gnome3 is totally inconfigurable I ended up with switching to XFCE and trying to make it look like my old Gnome2 desktop. This works quite good but there are some little things that were easy to manage with Gnome's configuration tools and are a bit trickier to achieve with XFCE.
1. [Unfixable (patch exists, bug report: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7176)] The workspace switcher applet doesn't allow to switch workspaces with mousescroll though the appropriate option is selected in its settings. I think that this is related to the fact that I'm using Compiz and it has its "viewports" instead of the workspaces since with XFWM everything works properly. Maybe there's a way to make it work with Compiz though?
2. [Solved (controlling gmusicbrowser via dbus: http://gmusicbrowser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=dbus_api)] I'm trying to make the multimedia keys of my keyboard work which itself is not a big deal. But XFCE doesn't offer actions to control the media player like "next track" or "play/pause". I'm using gmusicbrowser and couldn't find out how to call these actions through the shell so I don't know what command to assign to the media keys.
3. [Unfixable (workaround: Guifications, bug report: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7591 )] The nice notification bubbles have "Show" buttons in Pidgin's libnotify notifications but they don't do anything when clicked: neither open a new chat window nor focus to an already opened one. Might be a Compiz effect again, but seems to happen with XFWM, too.
4. [Unsolved] I can't find the xfapplet-plugin neither in the repos nor in the AUR. Has it been removed together with all the other Gnome2 stuff because of depending on gnome-panel? If so, how realistic would it be to maintain appropriate AUR packages?
5.[Solved (by activating the "Prompt on logout" option and a launcher for xfce4-session-logout)] I thought, I would have solved this problem but now it appears again: I'm unable to deactivate XFCE's session saving. I disabled all checkboxes in the first session settings tab and manually edited /etc/xdg/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-session.xml and its equivalent in ~/.config to look like

linuxfool76: I think, quite many Gnome2 users would be interested (I am interested at least), but unfortunately I don't have any further details either... If I remember correctly there is a thread here on the forums where some user had the idea to make a repo for the whole Gnome2 - but then gave up since this would be unmaintainable. Don't know whether the chances are better for some single GTK2 apps. At least I've found file-roller2 on the AUR but who knows how long it will rest there...

Some of the packages are still in the official repos, so it's bigger than it could. Also maybe one could compile some things with less deps (like remove the evolution thing from the gnome-panel deps). But still looks like much bloat for a single package. What do you think?

PL36 Batch "little" bug?

Hello,
I am trying to make an inventory transfer with a batch managed item.
When pressing the Create button, batch selection window appears to select the batches to transfer. Here I try to find some bach. So, I type the batch number in the Find field and then press TAB. When pressing TAB the following message appears and then SAP is closed:

Same thing happens in "Goods Issue" stock transaction.
I think this could be a "little" bug of PL36 (2005A). The strange thing is that this is not happening in PL34, but now I cannt go back to PL34.
I really dont know how to deal with this!

It is curious, however, that doing the same thing in PL34 does not make any error.
I think it only occurs when arriving PL36 through upgrade (in my case, PL34). Otherwise, it seems to work properly.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Little bug in the dashboard

Yep, it look like even Apple software can have little bugs. To trigger it, open the dashboard then click and try to access menus of any system icons in the upper right part of the screen (except spotlight) with the click and hold method. You might have to move the mouse a bit before the bug is triggered. The menu souldn't appear right

Well, it appears right , but dashboard doesn't disappear (because it doesn't disappear until you release the mouse button). If you want, you can send a bug report to -you'll have to sign up for a free ADC account.

They should have one in Stock, but you never know. Call your Apple Store and tell them you have an iPhone 5 color and GB, and that you most likely will need a replacement, do they have any in Stock. If yes, go in, if not ask for advice on how to handle your problem.

As Sun says, calculations using Date are ok for computers. but if you need to do things that people want to do with dates, use Calendar/GregorianCalendar. Here's a couple of examples

Exposé error... some wierd bug... someone please help

I have a slight problem with my Ibook G4. Firstly the trackpad works most of the time but sometimes it just decides to give up on me.
Secondly and more importantly, sometimes while innocently working on my ibook, the exposé feature goes a bit crazy. Just randomly starts switching windows or exposing windows or spreading them apart. And if i have any text editor open or if a text feild is active before this wierd bug starts to manifest itself, then, everytime the exposé automatically and randomly activates the message 9ol.\ keeps getting typed in the text feild.
I have no control over this, and i just have to sort of wait for a while before everything comes back to normal.
I tried switching off the trackpad and using a normal mouse. Same error. I removed the exposé mouse corners, so that its only accessible thru the F-keys. Same error keeps coming. I even tried to turn the function in the keyboard settings which states i will need to press the fn key before being able to use the F keys for software functions. I still get the error.
I have no idea wht it is. Is it a virus? Is it some sort of bug in the O/S? Is it a hardware problem? Perhaps a loose connection somehwere. In the keyboard maybe.
This breed of lap top is sooo fragile. Little things upset it. I just bought it a year ago and been taking meticulous care of it. Yet its been giving me problems after problems. I guess its nothing compared to its big brothers in the power breeds.
Anyway, anyone with any idea what this problem could be and what course of action i could take to correct it, please let me know. Thanks.

You might want to try starting up in Safe Mode and see if you have the same problem (More information in Knowledge Base Document #107393 on How to Startup In Safe Mode). You might want to try performing an Archive and Install (Knowledge Base Document #107120).

Little bug in Access Connections [fixed]

Today I have reinstalled my OS (with drivers and applications) twice because of problems with WiFi application (famous Fn+F5)... but I'm too tired of this to describing it tonight
What I want to say is that I have noticed small bug (?) in Access Connections. It is not very important, but maybe developers would fix it: so, with themes turned off there are some labels near radio buttons missing (picture 2).With themes turned on everything is ok (picture 1).

OMG... It was connected to windows standard color theme - inactive text had similar color to background color so thats why there was no visible text near radio buttons :/ Sorry for my mistake.

Some imovie bugs, and a work-around for one!

CRACKING OF AUDIO IN CROSS DISSOLVES:
This one's been documented a lot - the crackling noise when cross dissolving two clips (anyone been following New Scientist? The podcast on 'crackling' is hilarious). I originally thought it was just a preview glitch, but the movie was actually exported with the sound error as well. It also applies to the titling.

In my movie, I dissolve between shots with virtually the same ambient noise in the background. To fix the problem, I extracted the audio of the clip before the dissolve, copied and pasted it into the timeline after, and clipped it down to a size to cover the cross dissolve. Place it over the transition on the track below, and drop the sound on the transition to zero.
I appreciate this won't work in dissolves between sound fields or scenes and takes some time, but it sorted the problem for me.
OTHER BUGS:
- In the titling pane, the small thumbnail window does not always reflect the time and pause of the final render / 'preview' in full mode. the best example of this seems to be 'scrolling text' - its way out.
- as mentioned, sound dies when titles are added over moving clips. See fix above.
- copy and pasting of extracted audio seems random on the timetime - had to search up and down for where the program dumps it. Should paste at the playhead?
I'm sure some or most of these errors have been documented before. However, I found them all in a single use of imovie, and considering the programs in its 6th version, I consider it a poor performance... the audio problems particularly are unacceptable... does Apple presume that if you don't fork out for Final Cut, you don't need an editor capable of exporting a clean movie? From what I've read, some of these glitches have existed for a while.
If I've documented anytihng new, I hope someone who can relay them further does!

What I do is lock the punch-in in time, move it to an adjacent track, make a split in the track I punched in over and roll that track back to the extent of the punch-in and then move the punch-in back down to the original track.
Like your method it also sounds harder than it actually is :-)
It just goes to show there's more than one way to .....

Pm-utiles problems along with some little things

I just install Arch Linux into my Toshiba Portege M100 Laptop. I get pretty much everything working, even the FN key. And Arch runs amazingly fast on this old machine.
However, I do encounter two problems. One of them is the suspend/hibernate problem. My laptop seem able to do both, however, it can not come back to my desktop. It seems like stop after they load everything back, and give me a black screen. There is nothing I can do but hold the power buttom to restart my computer.
The second problem is the gnome network-manager applet. I use it with xfce, but whenever I do a save session for futrue logins, the next time I logins in there is two of them, and the next next time I login there is like 3. and so furth. here is what I set for my autostart command with with Autostart applications under setting. "nm-applet --sm-disable"
This is not really a problem, but it kind of bothers me, and it is the action button applet. After I install a the arch linux Icon set, it becomes a little green man(I dislike that icon so much, haha) I would like it change back to the normal power button icon. which to me looks much nice. And for something even I change Icon set for the theme, it doesn't effect that action button applet.
At last, if you have any good suggestion that I make the laptop installation better, please let me know.

For the problems hibernating/suspending, you'll probably have to specify a "quirk" with the suspend command. Read the pm-suspend docs and google "pm-suspend quirks". You may be able to find someone else's report of successfully using the same laptop with quirk such-and-such. Else it will take some trial and error to see what works.
For your second question: I think you're giving the right command in autostart. (Possible there should be a "&" at the end of it, but I don't think that's necessary.) You've got some problem with your saved session. To flush everything out, here's what I'd do. Completely uninstall network-manager. Log out, and log back in. Log out, saying don't save session. Log back in, Log out, saying save session. Log in and re-install network-manager. Now log out saving session again. Now test to see if your problem is fixed.
I bet that some of the steps I just described aren't necessary, but I'm not sure which ones.

Latex+beamer : little bug in acroread to render blocks

For all .pdf generated with pdflatex using beamer (for making slides), there is a little rendering problem in acroread.

You can see an horizontal difference of 1 pixel on the left, between the header and the body of the block. This screenshot is in fullscreen.
If I zoom in acroread, this difference disappears.

It doesn't have the one-pixel-difference problem (but it has a shadow bug).
