Some NOTES disappeared. How do I get them back?

Weirdest thing. I opened NOTES and highlighted one of them to edit it. When I did, it actually just disappeared on me. What the ****? I did nothing to delete it, it just vanished. I then noticed that two other NOTES were gone....and they were two I use often. I really need to recover these....is there a way??
I sync my phone every day so I know my last sync had these notes. I have not yet synced my phone because I have to believe there's a way to restore my phone to it's last sync. Am I right??
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is, right click on your phone under devices on the left, and choose restore from backup. Make sure you choose the correct date. I would try a hard reset though first since they just "Vanished."

By reinstalling do you mean that you deleted the app and redownloaded it ? Deleting an app will remove the app and its contents. Do you have copies of the PDFs in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library so that you can sync them back ?

All of the notes in my Contacts dissapeared. How do I get them back??!! I rebooted my phone. Also, although my iPhone 4S is marked in settings to back up my contacts to iCloud, there were NO contacts saved...now what...?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I just bought a new laptop, beacuse my old on was out dated. On the old one my ringtones are on the itunes, however when I upgraded they did not download to the new computer in itunes, how can i get them back. As far as I know ringtones can only be downloaded once. If they are still on your old computer then you should be able to copy them over via, for example, a flash drive, and then add them to the new computer's iTunes via File > Add File To Library (or Add Folder To Library) - they should then appear in the Tones part of your iTunes library.
You should be able to locate where the ringtones are stored on your old computer by right-clicking on them in iTunes and selecting 'Show In Windows Explorer'

You can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
If that helps then you most likely have some security software that isn't working properly.

I accidentally deleted all my notes. How do I get them back? Please!

Some of the notes were created after I last synced my iPhone to iTunes so restoring backup will not recover all of them but is better than nothing and my last resort if there is no other solution to this problem. Is there any other way to get them back? I'm sure they are still in my phone, just as hidden files.
I am not connected to iCloud.
The reason why they got deleted was because I had notes synced to my Yahoo mail without knowing it. When I found the notes on my yahoo mail, I tried to delete all of them because I only wanted them on my phone. However Ymail was not working very well (as usual) and I tried deleting them several times without success (like they are still there). So I realized that I could actually stop syncing notes to my email, which was what I did in Settings. Then I decided to delete my email account on my iPhone because I hardly use it anyway. When I later opened the Notes app, I found that it's empty.
Please help! Those notes are really important to me and I really would like to have them back!

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

I changed my e-mail provider from Comcast to Verizon and when I updated the accounts in Mail --- all my inbox messages to the Comcast account disappeared. Is it possible to get them back or at least see them?

What type of accounts are these (POP, IMAP)?
Mail stores all mail in ~/Library/Mail/. For each account, there is a folder whose name starts with the account type (POP, IMAP, Mac), followed by the account username, and the incoming mail server. This is where all account-specific mailboxes are stored.
You should have created a new account in Mail, rather than changing the settings of the old one. I've seen people reporting that doing what you did caused the old account folder to be wiped out (and all the mail stored within it to be lost) without warning. This would be a serious bug, but I've been unable to reproduce it. It could very well be that the old account folder is still there, yet inaccessible.
Take a look at the contents of the ~/Library/Mail/ folder. Do you see account folders for both the old and the new account there?
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there.

Quit Safari completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Safari icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that didn't work - try this. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
