If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Since the IOS 5.0 update my iPad 2 and iPod touch (3e generation) won't play the music I choose. I choose a song from Michael Jackson for example and it's going to play something completely different. The images has changed aswel, so it is a bit strange.
I treind to sincronise them again, but this doesn't change a thing. Has anyone any idea what could be the problem and how to solve it?

I solved the issue and it was that between the plug of the new earbuds being slightly thicker than the Apple earpods, and the width of the case that I was using for my iPod, there wasn't a connection being made to activate the remote function.
I took off the case and now the earbuds work exactly as they should! -
Why must I force quit (double press home and slide off) Mail on both my iPad and iPhone in order to have Mail access on my iMac on the same wifi network. Fetch is set to manual and my ISP is Charter.
I don't know about the "3" but it's a POP account. I've always suspected that Charter isn't letting go using their mobile apps for iOS. Puzzling that it doesn't block the other way. That is if Mail is open on the iMac it doesn't block access to Mail on either the iPad or iPhone. I'm guessing it's their mobile apps that are the problem but they won't admit it to me.

They can share an Apple ID, but each device must use a different email address when setting up FaceTime. Create a gmail email (or hotmail, or ...) address and use that on one of the devices when you setup FaceTime.
You don't actually have to use the 'new' email address, it is probably just used as an index to reference the correct device when initiating a call via the FaceTime server. -
I am planning a long vacation and taking my laptop but it is my home computer that my new ipad and ipod touch are synced too. I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

I am not receiving messages on my ipad and iPod touch from Skype, it won't come thru, I've tried reboot and hard reset, but nothing works, I reinstalled Skype, and nothing works.I had this same problem also. The problem has to do with your credit card number associated with you iCloud account. To solve this problem, you need to update your credit card/payment information by doing the following on your iPad / iPhone / iTouch:
Settings > iCloud > click on your account > Payment Information
Update this section with your correct credit card information and Save. -
Why is the writing in the Music App on both my ipad and iPhone red?
On both my ipad and iPhone, most of the labels are in Red. The Store link, the Now Playing link, all of the letters down the right side of the page. Any icon I select along the bottom turns red when selected (radio, playlists, artists, songs, more). I'd swear it was not always like this! What have I done to cause this?
Updated the iOS version. It is the same on my iOS devices.

IMessage not syncing between iPad and iPod Touch (4th gen)

I have been looking for an answer to my question a few day now.
I can't make my iMessage sync the messages I send or receive between my iPad and iPod.
If I send a message on my iPad it does not appear on my iPod and vice versa.
The same thing with receiving messages.
My settings are on both the i-devices the same:

IPhone, iPad and iPod touch Video
On the next iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you should really make it so you can screenshare, meaning you can take photos without the camera but you should be able to make videos. So when you take a photo, you press the home button and the turn off /turn on button at the same time quickly. If you hold them both at the same time for a few seconds, they should be able to take videos! It'd be a cool feature, considering skype is an app and FaceTime and people want to screen share. Hope it happens, and mention me for the idea! -Micah

I am having trouble synchronizing my calendars from my computer to my iPhone, iPads and iPod touch
Since upgrading to Mt. Lion I am having problems syncing my calendars thru iTunes onto my iPhone , 2 IPad 2's, 1 iPad 3 and iPod touch. Some things will sync and some not. My whole family syncs to iCal on our iMac but lately none of the appts we put on our devices are syncing with the computer and vice versa. This happens whether we try wireless or wired sync. Any suggestions?
Never mind:) I finally found a post taht helped me figure out the problem. You have to turn off the parental restrictions...duh!

I just set up Firefox Home on my iPad and my iPhone and put a website (that requires a login) in my bookmarks bar. When I try to log in to my marked website, I just keep getting the login screen over and over again. Is this a problem with Firefox Home or the website that I'm trying to log in to?

Managing Shared iPads and iPod Touches for different Departments
What would be the best way to manage multiple iPads used for different departments in an educational setting. I work in an educational setting and have recently purchased three iPads and 5 iPod touches for the sharing of four different departments each having both common and different uses and app desires? What are some best practices for managing accounts and workflow? Ex; Workflow for updating, syncing and maintenance? What about credit card accounts, does each iPad profile need to have a credit card account attached to it? What questions do we need to think in terms of creating a standard build without compromising the individual needs that each department may want to have on the iPads. Any advice would really help?

No. Some apps are only for the iPad and will not work on the iPod. Also, the iPad 2 has a much better processor and more memory (not talking about storage space) and some apps will not work on the iPod. Also, the iPad 1 does not have a comera so the iPod apps tha need a comera will not work on the iPad 1.
