Some of my fonts are not showing in my browser, could it be due to font book?

All of a sudden I noticed two websites which I commonly use, not displaying some of its fonts correctly. At first I thought it was just the browsers fault, firefox to be specific, but after checking Safari. I found that Safari was displaying the fonts incorrect too. So then I thought, maybe I need to just update my os software. I updated my software and still the fonts aren't displaying properly.
Now further research has lead me to think the problem lies within Font book. Prior to this issue i have never opened or tempered with font book or had any other font issues.
I am running OS 10.6.8
Verdana and arial are the problematic fonts. Any help would be a godsend.

Looks like verdana is selected to 'off' in font book. Not sure if this could be the reason as to why i'm experiencing problems.

Some Photos in Library are not showing on iPhoto

I imported some photos from another Mac to my MacBook Air and organized them in several events. All went well until I had a large number of photos (and some videos) which took a long time to transfer and iPhoto was not responding for over an hour. I forced quit the iPhoto and now when I go back, I see the events that I had created but they are empty (photos are not showing). When I tried to re-import the photos, it says the photos are duplicate which I assume it means photos exist in the photo library. My question is how do I get the photos existing in the library to be visible on iPhoto. Thanks.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

I'm editing a video in imovie '08 and adding iphotos to the movie, but some of the photos are not showing. Help

I'm editing the video of a presentation one of my clients has delivered, I'm adding the slides of the presentation in as photos from iphoto, the problem is that some of the photos are now showing up in the video even though they have been added. Also where photo number 7 should be it is showing photo number 12? I really need to sort this out and need help. How do I get the photos to show and show properly in the right place?

I've got a list of things to look at and tryout to see if we can narrow down what's happening. Try any one in any particular order see if the problem keeps happening.
1. What format are the original photos in?
Are the all the same?
If they are different, do some work and others do not?
File formats that are “raw” may be a problem.
File size may also be a problem if they are very large files.
2. Duplicate the project in the Project Library
Try dragging a photo into that copy of the project
Any differences? If you can import photos into the Duplicate, try copying then pasting into the original and see if the image shows up.
3. Duplicate a picture inside of iPhoto
If you want to have a particular picture and can find it within iPhoto try making a duplicate.
Does it show up in the Photo browser? And can you drag that duplicated picture into the project? What do you see, what result do you get?
4. Clean the iMovie cache
Quit out of iMovie. Then go to your Movies Folder > iMovie Events > Project folder name
Drag the folder "iMovie Thumbnails" to your trash. Then open the folder "iMovie Cache" and drag the file "Cache.plist" to the trash.
This should regenerate any cached thumbnails for the project, may be helpful.
5. Try tossing out the iMovie preferences
Quit iMovie.
Open a Finder window to your user's Home folder>Library >Preferences folder. Find the file named "com.apple.iMovie.plist" or "com.apple.iMovieAppl.plist" and move it to the trash.
Try opening iMovie again, then opening the project and dragging a photo from the Photo Browser into the Project timeline.

Three days ago I went to a post from last year and an image was gone. The code was there but not the image.
It doesn't get rid of all the images just certain ones and they are consistently gone. It is not a random deletion of images.
I have had images not show up on other blogger sites.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.
Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions

I just bought an Android tablet today and added the Skype App to it. I can log in just fine but for some reason several of my contacts are missing. They are in my contacts on my computer but all but five of them are missing from my Android including my daughter. Help! Some of my cuts are not showing whenI scrub/preview

I have al my clips loaded into the timeline, they are all from the same shoot, same file format, etc. However some wont show when I make them visable to scrub through them, just shows black, also when I make cuts and move them up to my working area they dont show. Im not sure what the issue is. When I select view frame, it shows all the frams of the clips but I am unable to view them when I play the sequesnce. I am running 5.5.

Some videos on websites are not showing, it is just blank.

Recently, and I'm not sure what I did, because I don't remember adding or changing anything, some videos just simply stopped working. I've checked plug-ins, made sure if I had the right player and Adobe says I do.
I can see youtube, and Vimeo and some others, but it seems to be when videos are embedded. All I get is a blank space where the video should be. It's just a white space. I can right click on it, and it gives me the options of settings and stuff, but nothing I do seems to work.
Embedded youtube and Vimeo videos work, but not others. Specifically videos from Daily Motion and MSN don't work, and I'm sure others don't as well.
The other three computers in my house hold play them fine, so I know it's just '''my''' computer. I'm not very technologically savvy, so I'm not sure what else to do. I'm running the latest FireFox and even Google Chrome is not playing the same videos.

For some reason my icons are not showing up in my bookmarks, those help so much when you are looking for a link quickly. So annoying not to have them. Any solutions?

many sites have icons showing just before the web site address, those used to show up in the bookmarks but they don't any more, why? Can it be fixed?

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

I can't see images on blackberry browser, I have the latest OS in my BlackBerry Curve 9320. I have tried all the things like Resend the service books, Removed battery, Wipe Off, Updated the device but it didn't solved my problem. Please tell me the solution for this.

Do you have the 'Load images' option enabled in the browser? Open the Browser> Press the Menu Key> Options> Under Web Content enable 'Load Images'.

Texts are not showing up after upgrading to version 11

Could someone help me with why some of my texts are not show up on my Flash project? Before the upgrade, everything is fine. However, after upgrading to version 11, my texts are disappearing.
Before (version 10.3.183.7...)
After (version 11.0.1.152...)
The texts in the boxes will disappear, when I hover mouse cursor over it. Those boxes with texts in them are created with an external AS file, and the texts are dynamicaly changed/put in with an external XML file. There is a mask on the boxes, show only 4 at a time.

You will see the changes with Flash player version 11, and everything working fine with older versions.
I use iMacs with Snow Leopard and Lion, and this happens on all of the browsers with Flash Player version 11.01.152. I also tested on Windows 7, and it is still happening. Is this a Flash Player bug or something changed that I am not aware of? Is there a work around for this?

This is a known issue and we have a fix for this in our next release. Thanks for posting.
