Some of my keyboard Buttons are acting weird ..

It was working fine suddenly some problem occurred. Like my 9,O,L buttons are working but when i press right shift+9 (or O,L) it doesn't work.. but left shift works with those buttons. and the right shift works with other buttons as well.... Can some one help me? I am using a late 2009 iMac 27" .. I will appreciate your help. thank u........

You have a 1-year warranty, and can buy AppleCare to extend it to 3.

Flash player in Firefox acts as if keyboard buttons are being held down during games

I am running Flash Player version 11.5.502.146 for Firefox. While playing flash games online, I often notice that the game thinks that a button is being held down on the keyboard. I have not noticed a patten as to which games are affected or which buttons are being "pressed", but a game that is affected will always act as if the same button is being pressed. For example, one game will always be pressing "Left" (the A key), even when I shut down all processes or restart the browser or computer. Another game will always behave as if the Pause button is being pressed, causing the pause menu to constantly appear and disappear. I have opened these games in Internet Explorer and did not have the same problem. Anyone else having these problems, or have any suggestions?

Need some help, things are acting weird.

Hey all
Not sure if this is the right place for this topic but i've run into something strange and was wondering if i could get some help fixing it.
I've noticed 2 things that are kind of strange that have been going on with my system lately. The first one is whenever any of my browsers reach the point of downloading a file (off of sites like macupdate, torrent sites, etc...) it just hangs on the screen and never actually downloads the files unless i go back and right click and 'save link as'. Now when I go to the same site with my powerbook running the same OS it doesn't have a problem.
Also, another big problem is certain installers (such as some vise ones) cause problems where they A: don't open at all or B: get to the point of the install and then just hang with a beach ball forever. Again when i run the same installers on my powerbook they seem to work just fine.
The computer in question is a Powermac G5 running OS X 10.4.9
I haven't upgraded to anything higher because I am a pro tools user and so far with this setup pro tools has not given me any issues.
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files!
Disconnect the USB cable from any UPS so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

I've tried practically everything. Keyboard is still acting weird. Why?

Keyboard is not responding well. It keeps disconnecting every time I press the Left Command Key. When I press the Spacebar, it presses the N key also. When I press Z, it also presses the Delete Key. Same with some of the keys, they press two buttons.
I've tried all the resets.
I've created a new Administrator account.
I tried deleting the Bluetooth.plist.
I've re-paired the keyboard with the iMac 6 times.
I've replaced the batteries with fresh ones twice (non-rechargable ones).
Everything in Universal Access like Slow Keys or Mouse Keys are off.
I've checked with Keyboard Viewer.
No other device is in the area that is using bluetooth. (So there's no interference at all)
I'm using an ethernet cable for internet. (So there's also no interference with WiFi)
The keyboard I'm using is the one that came with a 2010 iMac 27" (Wireless Keyboard)
I have never dropped this thing.
What is causing all of this?

The symptoms you describe can be caused by damage to the keyboard. This is often dirt or liquid contamination creating short circuits (cross-connecting two or more circuits) inside the keyboard.
The best way to check for that is to use a different, known-good keyboard. If the symptoms disappear when using the different keyboard, then you'll know that the source of the problem is the original keyboard itself. The issue then becomes whether to attempt repairs, or to replace it.

I've tried all ports, and changing to a different USB connectors on the motherboard.
I do have Security Essentials installed, and it's not an virus issue.
Also I just recalled that during the installation of Windows 7 Pro the keyboard and mouse was also stuttering a bit.
This was after I've cleaned the HDD and so did a full clean install.
I've tried using the MSI LiveUpdate tool to update all my drivers, but no luck there either.
As I mentioned, never had this problem before and after having this issue for 2 days now I notice that it almost looks like the keyboard and mouse are "reconnecting". Both mouse and keyboard light flashes for a second, and then it works but happends again randomly.
Just weird that the other devices aren't affected, like my 4G modem that I use for internet. No problems there.
... But when I'm in BIOS there is no problem whatsoever with the keyboard and mouse.

CC latest update...layers are acting weird

Now every so often/ most often... PS will not let me select the layer. or also...I have a layer selected but try to work on it and i get a warning that I need top select a target area l layer?.. ?
started acting up once I updated so wondering if this is a bug yet?..the only fix is to close down my file and reopen it..works for a few more min. before again acts up?...

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

The return button is acting weird...

I'm using Safari for my email, but when I open the message, and then want to return to the inbox, by punching the return button on the browser, I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to send a form again?
To reopen this page Safari must resend a form. This might result in duplicate purchases, comments, or other actions."
Once I tried selecting OK, and the last email I've sent, got sent again (I've forwarded an email to my own inbox, so I was able to see, what the result would be, if selecting OK, instead of Cancel). When I punch Cancel, the page stays where is at, i.e. at the open email, it won't go to the inbox, so I had to select the inbox button, in order to access it.
Any ideas...?

Instead of using the "Show the Previous Page" button (not a Return button) on your Safari browser, just click where you see Inbox Incoming mail.
You are using the *Safari browser tools instead of the Mail tools.*
Before you delete mail you have read this button is available to return to your Inbox also.
Are you really running 10.3 on a G5? If not, please click My Settings on the right side of this page and tell us which Mac OS X you are running. It will help in the future and... thanks!

My Volume and brightness keyboard buttons are not working what Shoud i Do ?

I have Downloaded Boot camp 4.0 for windows 7 in My Mac Book Pro MD103LL/A and all of it is working fine except the Keyboard Volume Up/Down and Brightness adjustment Buttons .
What to do ?? how can i make them work.. I have even Pressed that "fn" key like (fn + f1) and so but not working. Whats missing here so far ?

Log4j and Jboss are acting weird

This question is reagards to Log4j and JBoss and I thought this is the best place to ask this question.
I am using Jboss 3.2.3. My purpose was to log messages in a seperate file "developer.log" using Log4j. These messages has to be logged in this file only. So in my WAR's folder under WEB-INF/classes I created a file log4j.properties:

Jboss is recognizing that it is standard but after that it is not gving me the desired results. Any input on how to fix this problem?

[SOLVED] MSI GT70 keyboard buttons not working

Hi! I am a normal user of computers that like games, so I bought this awesome notebook MSI GT70 i7 16gb ram GTX 675MX 128ssd+750hdd, with a keyboard by steelseries.
Everything was ok, using the notebook as came when I bought, with OS windows 8, with no format nor modifications by me, using it since January 2013.
The problem is that about 1 or 2 weeks some shortcuts of keyboard arent working anymore:
- Wifi button isn't working and isn't becoming orange when pressed, and Fn+F8 isn't working either;
- Screen shutdown button is becoming orange when pressed but not working;
- Cd-dvd eject button is becoming orange when pressed but not working;
- I tried also Fn+F9 and Fn+F12 shortcuts, and I think they arent working either.
At the same time, the Cooler button and the Backlight's Keyboard button are working correctly. Turbo button maybe is working too but I don't know if something become overclock when I activate it.
I would really appreciate some help, since I love my notebook very much, and I hope it's not a hard problem to solve.

I followed your advice:
1. uninstalled SCM, restarted
2. installed SCM, restarted
3. tried to update .net framework, had it already
4. resat the EC
But unfortunately it did not change my GE60 2OC's behaviour: when i press the back-light button it opens my browser with dragoonarmy/msi.com>/ BUT NO LIGHT.
Do anybody have a suggestion to solve this??

Special keyboard buttons not working

Hello, everybody
I have got a HP G62 notebook and some of the "special" keyboard buttons are not working ( in other words, nothing changes ).
For example:
- display chooser button ( i.e., either just the laptop, either the projector, either both, etc. )
- sound on/off button
Anyone had any experience with this ?

While the keyboard binding part might not be that hard, I am stuck with figuring out how and what to get for the VGA and HDMI port switching ( see below ).

Keyboard Buttons Stuck

it seems as if i have random keyboard buttons are stuck, not physically, but its as if my mac thinks they are. ive had the 'Return Key', 'Page Down', and other random keys suck at different times, and it kinda fades in and out and ive yet to find a reasonable trigger that makes it do so. Ive tried it on my white wired keyboard, white bluetooth keyboard and aluminum wired keyboard they all go into this continuous loop. This problem even happens if there is no keyboard plugged in.
(you have no idea how hard it was too search through sites and post this with this problem =D)

You're not the only one seeing this.
I'm on a MacBook Pro, just upgraded to 10.5.2 and the repeating keys problem just appeared.
Apple posted a firmware update for Macbooks, but I'm a bit wary of applying updates willy nilly when it appears the problem is not confined to my hardware, lending weight to the theory that it's not an issue related to MacBooks.
