Some of my mail is not arriving.

I only find out about it when the person asks if I got it! One email with attachment has been resent twice and still the email has not arrived.
Another I was waiting for and didn't want to bother the client, how embarrassing to find they had sent it already.
No one even gets an error message or anything. Grr.

What do you mean by not working?
I would try in order:
- Resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Deleting the app and redownloading it. This might result in loosing app data.
- Restore the iPod via iTunes. First from backup up and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults.

Hello Acer-Tommy, This looks like a very common issue with most of the Acer laptops. It is not that all the Acer laptops having the keyboard issue have problems with the same keys. But this is a huge problem!! And can render any keys dead, not some specific. I have the same problem on my Acer Aspire 8943G, which I had purchased for a hefty price. But the support for your products is as bad as the hardware of the Acer Aspire laptops. In my case, my Aspire 8943G's keys, "S", "D", "G", "H", "M", (Including the main "Return" key) and "7" and "8" on the Number-pad are dead. I have to use the Virtual Keyboard in windows OS to type. This is very frustrating as one cannot even type simple comments (I am using another PC from HP to write this comment). When I tried to contact the Support, they want me to send the laptop to them on my own cost, and if there is a hardware issue found, I will have to pay additional charges for service and replacement of the keyboard. And this is unacceptable as I have already paid a huge sum for buying this product, and I use it daily for work. Sending it to Acer support just for verification would take weeks and it will create problems for me and my work. So first of all, please realize and agree to the fact that this is a huge problem which many of the Acer laptops are facing. And try to provide a better option and service support to the customers who have purchased these products. Keyboard is a part of the PC without which the PC is useless... If you are using Firefox to access web mail, you need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

Some outgoing e mails are not getting through

Some of the people I e mail are not getting any of my e mails. I use the verizon e mail online not outlook express or any other software. Most of my e mails are getting through but not all. Anyone have an idea why this could be happening? It's not that my e mail is blocked on the other end. One of the recipients is my dad and he isn't getting my e mail. I walked him through his setup and he does not have me blocked and I am in his address book.

Is there a particular domain you are having trouble with? Are you getting any delivery delay/failure messages?

Apple restore mail is not arriving to hotmail

I Can t remenber my password and the email that apple sends to restore my ID never arrives and it is not in the junk, I have tried more than 100 times and many times in many days, i also dont remember the security question the only way to recover my password is with my mail......what can i do now??????, thanks in advance

Some new messages or some that I respond to do not go out, and some from others do not arrive. This seems to be a new problem.

I have sent test messages to my self several times today to and from from each of my addresses and they show in my sent folder but do not arrive. Others that I know were sent to me did not arrive. In one case, the same message sent again did arrive. Other mail does arrive, but I now wonder how much I'm missing. I need some help?

if Mail goes to your sent folder without error, Thunderbird has received a "sent ok" from the outgoing server. Your mail is not arriving, time to talk to your service provider. They probably have spam rules and are quarantining your mail somewhere or are simply dropping it as SPAM. There is no guarantee of delivery or of notification of failure in the email protocols and the larger ISPs in the US especially make significant use of that absence in their cavalier spam policies.

... With attachment: E-MAIL DOES NOT ARRIVE
I've tested this from my MAIL account to our principal on our school's GMail account.
I've tested this from my MAIL account to my own GMail account.
Repeatedly: if my MAIL-generated e-mail includes an attachement, it DOES NOT ARRIVE in GMail acocunts.
This is a serious problem...

PS Just did an experiment: sent a MAIL-generated e-mail with attachment to my GMail account -- e-mail arrived, but had been stripped of attachment. Immediately sent another MAIL e-mail with two small attachments -- it never arrived in my GMail account but the cc arrived immediately in my MAIL account with both attachments intact.

I too am experiencing this behavior, however, for some reason that I do not know, the attachments appear ok one day and then they appear embedded. This is becoming detrimental to my work!
Is anyone looking into this at Apple?

I have OCS email server with a mail domain. OID has em forwarding set for users to forward em to external mail domain. The OCS web email client works, sending em to local domain i.e. [email protected] forwards to [email protected] Problem is sending mail from database using utl_smtp.
OCS oes/log/um_system/smtp_out/blah/blah.log shows mail success but mail does not arrive at target users external email. If I remove the forwarding em in OID mail gets through to users localmail domain and user can access via ocs em web client. Can't see what could be different between OCS mail vs. database mail using utl_smtp.
Any help is appreciated

Mac mail will not load emails anymore, just keeps "Loading..."

For some reason, mac mail will not load previous emails. It is only one account, when I click on that mailbox, it just keeps "Loading" and never retreives emails. The acounts are fine. It was fine 5 minutes ago, now it is not. This has happened once in the past and it was never resolved. I recreated the account, and lost all the emails.

I just discovered I was a life saver, thanks for the kudos everyone.
Why? It's not your fault. It's because how Apple Mail stores mail, it simply is not robust enough.
A robust program assumes that it may crash at any moment while writing to any of its files, and that there will be undiscovered, rarely occurring bugs that will have similar effect. The damage it does needs to be detected later and then repaired automatically or degraded gracefully so only one mail is lost, and not all of them.
Evidently, Apple fails to do so or didn't do a thorough job.
For mail this is really urgent, because a mail program does many things simultaneously which increases the chance that things go wrong once in a while, and on top email comes from the wild world outside and can contain many types of junk that need to be contained. Mail server delivery data muck, deliberate attempts to hack your mailbox by mail, phishing attempts, html newsletters made by Neanderthalers or marketeers, other buggy mail programs, poorly made phising mails, regular spam, you name it.
So there are a lot of possible 'runaway cars' that may dent another in the parking lot, but this should never cause an entire parking lot building to tilt so all the cars roll to one side of the floor and while still there, can't open the doors anymore.
Computer science made many solutions for this the past 3 decades and it isn't even that hard to do, many file formats have auto-recovery features.
For example: You may have seen a movie on TV or internet, or skype conversation that goes into "weird blocks" a few seconds and then go back to normal. That's damaged data and auto-recovery of the data format kicking in to fix it or at least reduce the damage. Without it, you'd be looking at digital snow for the rest of the show. Apple does the latter to your mail.
In modern databases this is done all the time, because a company can't afford to lose all of its financial data because 1 record went bad or there once was a power outage. For a user, losing his/her mail can be just as catastrophic. If they can, Apple can. Come on.
But that answer won't help ya, unless someone at Apple actually READS these threads and feels intense SHAME that they did not listen to that inner voice saying: hmm it looks spiffy now but we really gotta work on the internals a bit more. No, data is not sexy. Yes, it's boring. But it's necessary. Remember Steve's step father taught his son that the backside of a drawer should also be made neatly. Dad was right folks.
Since this mail I'm going into my 3rd combat with Mocrosoft Exchange which is another factor that, while it should be better than regular mail, also is another rogue runaway car that dents the fragile internal file structure of Apple Mail.

Some mails are not collected by Thunderbird

Hi,
I am facing a very strange behavior with Thunderbird (v 24.3.0) . I am in POP3. I have configured all my mails readers (actually my PC and my Android Smartphone) to leave the messages on the server.
My Smartphone is configured to remove the mail from the server when I delete it on the phone.
When I retrieve the mails on my computer, using Thunderbird, I get most of the mails, but not all of them.
The missing ones are not arriving in a junk folder, this looks like they are simply not collected from the server. How is this possible ?
I can see the mails are still on the server, but they are not grabbed by Thunderbird ... even if I forced them unread on the server.
This is really a problem as my computer is the golden depository for my mails so if some are missing this is definitely bad :-(
Have any of you already faced this issue ?
How could I debug this ?

my first suggestion would be turn off the phone and see if the issue continues.

Mail not arriving or long delays

This is a strange one I can't explain!
I am manually† migrating from a 2011 Mac Mini - to a 2010 i7 iMac - and have set up identical* mail accounts - however the i7 seems to have problems getting email from my Yahoo account (imap) in a timely manner. There may even be emails that don't arrive at all in the Mail program - but certainly *SOME* (no rhyme or reason) emails do not arrive for hours, and in some cases a day or more. By "some", I mean one or some emails may come through immediately, but other time adjacent ones might not. Sender makes no difference AFAIK.
† (Manually Migrating = Reinstalling every program by hand, and copied user files - no migration assistant)
* (Identical = Every possible setting in Mail preferences - exact same OSX version - exact same Mail version - check for new messages every 5 minutes - junk prefs etc.)
As compared directly and in close proximity with - (All of which arrive quickly and reliably)

It's a bit disconcerting to see emails arrive correctly on all my other boxes and not see it come in (or arrive unacceptably late) on my target "new" desktop.
I like Apple Mail, but can't keep using it as it stands if it's going to be slow or unreliable.
Hoping for ideas - or suggestions on another Mail program (free). I downloaded Thunderbird just because of this issue, but it's UI is way too PC like for me.... Although it's setup is easier and it has more features than Apple Mail - I'd prefer something a little slicker.

The only place I see the missing messages is on my iMac in mail. I use iCloud for mail on both my iPad and iPhone and I do look at it on iCloud.com.

Can not find some messages in Mail using search

I have some problems with Mail.app I can not find some messages in Mail using search, the strange thing is that sometimes mail search finds some messages, but after rebuilding spotlight index the search displays other messages with the all messages searched using same search criteria. I have also tried to delete Envelope index file from the Mail folder in usr/library and forced mail to import all mailboxes but it started to crash importing some of mailboxes - I deleted the messages from that mailboxes, imported remaining mailboxes and tried to rebuild mailbox, but everything without a successes. Any ideas how to solve it?

in sender side i'm not using any communication channel and adapter engine i'm just using http client tool for testing purpose
i'm getting the response that's fine because its a synchronous communication
i checked sxmb_adm in that -->integration configuration LOGGING parameter of category RUNTIME is set to ENGINE_TYPE and current value is HUB(Integration server)

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The Safari, Email and Notes applications are native to the iOS and is unable to be deleted. Since this is the case, they are either in a folder on the iPhone, on another page or Restrictions are enabled. You can also search for these Apps on the iPhone by touching the screen and sliding your finger down. Here is some information regarding these features. Some mail messages not showing content after upgrade to Yosemite

I have just upgraded my system software to Yosemite and Have found that some of my mail messages are not displaying their content. I have closed and re-opened Mail and also taken all mailboxes offline and back online but the problem still persists.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I've already rebuilt the mailbox several times. I have run disk utility, started my masc in 'safe mode', reset the PRAM and finally re-installed Yosemite again. This didn't solve the problem. I started my mac in 'safe mode' one more time today and than restarted my mac and the problem appears to have been sorted. However, I'm not sure if the problem will re-occur if I shut down my mac tonight and restart in the morning1
