Some of my songs stop on it's own

when i play the song Low by Flo Rida, if stops automatically at some parts. i dont think its the song because i tried 3 different files with the same song but it was the same. it plays fine on my computer, but not my ipod. what is wrong and how do i fix it?

Yes, I fix it by turning off Sound Check in iTunes, deleting the problem songs in iPod.
Select and drag the songs from iTunes library back to iPod.
Play it in iPod, to check if it is ok.
There seem to be some ID3 tag header corruption, while I Soundcheck my whole library and doing other stuff on my Mac, so now , I only Soundcheck a few songs at a time.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

i have downloaded an album off iTunes and some of the songs stop half way they just go silent! should i buy the album again? or what can i do to fix it?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • TS4357 HELP! Some songs stop...????

Recently, I downloaded the Fantasia 2000 album (which my kids love), but some of the songs stop after just a few seconds.  For some reason, the album did not also download to the cloud (like other purchases), so I have no idea how to try and re-download.  Or is there some other issue.  This is the first time I've had this happen.  Any and all suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks.

    Hello jpolsgrove,
Items purchased from the iTunes Store can be redownloaded from the iTunes Store.

I just downloaded an album on iTunes and some of the songs stop after a minute and move on to the next song. I'm having a real tough time finding an answer to this one. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Maybe a re-download?

  • Certain Songs Stop??

I have a brand new iPod Nano 8GB and have loaded full with just music. I notice that some of the songs stop part way through and then the Nano jumps to the next song. It seems to do it at the same spot for each song which is usually between 38 and 45 secs. I can fast forward past this spot and the song will play to the end. It appears to be just songs that I converted to mp3 from audio recordings, though the vast majority play fine. Have tried the 5 rs and sent it back but the replacement Nano does the same thing. The dodgy songs play fine on iTunes. Please help, confused of Devon, UK

  • Some of my songs on my iTunes are stopping towards the end and going to the next song. It won't play those specific songs the entire way through.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and transfered my entire library to my new laptop. Itunes was working fine until I started to notice that certain songs won't play the entire way through. It'll stop at like 1:43 or another random time and skip right to the next song. I know I definitely bought some of these songs off of iTunes, and I really don't want to repurchase them. I don' understand why this would even be happening because they played fine on my old computer! Is there any way I can get them to play all the way through again!?

  • Some of my songs are stopping prematurely very annoying

Some of my songs in my itunes library are stopping prematurely on both my computer and ipod.  Anyone know how to fix this probelm it is very annoying

Push the headphones ALL the way in. The plastic on the headset jack must be flush with the Nano body.
If this doesn't work do the songs that don't play come from the same album?

  • In random mode some songs stop playing before being finished

in random mode some songs stop playing before being finished

I've heard this excuse before, that what we think is random really isn't, but when certain trends occur enough times, its pretty clear that there is some kind of algorithm or something in the coding that affects the shuffle.
I know random means random, but there are too many "random" coincidences and apparent patterns that occur to raise doubt that it truly is as random as Apple claims.
One such example, is that when using the Shuffle Songs feature (that shuffles all tracks on the iPod) I had 2-3 tracks from the same album (an album I had never even listened to yet) showing up within the first 40 tracks five times in a row. Numerous other songs showed up in at least 3 of the 5 "trials." Out of 8,000 songs.
On a playlist (of 300 or less songs is all I have tried), if you have multiple songs off the same album, you are far more likely to hear at least one other song off a given album within about 10 songs then you are to not hear a song off the same album. A specific example of this is on a playlist of 105 songs I have, there are 3 songs off one album, however nearly every time 2 of the songs will play within a 10 track range, and nearly as often all 3 songs will play within the same 20 track range.
I know random isn't perfectly spaced songs, but when certain things happen often enough, the odds of it become so low that even the "true random" explanation doesn't cover it.

  • One song stops after a few seconds on a new ipod touch, need some help

So I just got a 16gb iPod Touch as a gift and it works fine, all my songs play fine except for one of my songs that stops after like 7 seconds of playing. If I have it on repeat it will keep doing the same thing but if I forward the song a bit it will play fine till the end. Now this song plays fine on my PC, and it has played fine on my previous iPod video. Any one have any idea on why this is happening? It's kinda scaring me since I don't have the receipt for this iPod Touch and thats one of my favorite songs.

I had the same problem with one particular track I downloaded off Limewire earlier today and I've downloaded lotsa stuff on there over the years. I guess I'm fortunate compared to some of you with like 10 songs affected.
Anyways a little troubleshooting helps here. First off, it shouldn't be happening with any track downloaded off iTunes. Those are clean as a whistle in my experiences although iPod touch had some bug issues with songs stopping few seconds into them when they first came out last year. That problem appears to have been rectified unless you guys haven't done an update lately on your units.
So if you're downloading off Limewire or some other peer-to-peer service, you're probably getting a corrupted file that is causing this problem. I tried a couple different file downloads of the same song from different users and parameters until I found one that finally worked. It is true that a corrupted file will play on the older iPods because in my case it did on my 80GB and on my computer. It's only iPod touch that appears finicky about what it wants to play.
This is most likely therefore not a bug specific issue with Apple that you can rely on fix. You guys are probably gonna have to find new source files for your affected songs until you get one that works. Pain in the arse no doubt but the only real solution.
    Cheers!

  • Some songs stop playing after 60 seconds

Most of the songs on my ipod were burned thru itunes from cd's I've purchased new from retail stores, Amazon, etc. I'm having a problem where some songs stop playing after 60 seconds. It then goes on to play the next song. Can anyone out there shed any light on this for me?
    Thank you.

This has started to happen to me too.

  • For certain songs on my iPhone 4s with iOS7 some songs stop playing audio but continue playing the song almost as if it were muted. Where can I fix this? Say "Stronger" by Kanye West stops playing sound after 2:25 but it is 5 minutes long.

Basically it is just like it says. Certain songs stop playing sound after a certain point in the song but the song continues playing and ticking down like it normally would. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi I found the answer from another post. So far everything is working find. I been trying to fix this since march,

Deleting the application rarely solves anything on Macs. A better starting point is normally to delete the preference file for the application (in Users/~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.itunes.plist) or see if you have the same problem in another user account on the computer.
