Some of my text turns up as images, why is this?

When I publish my site I cannot select a lot of the text in different places on my site, it's all png files. Whats going on?

"Web safe" fonts.
Use them for your text boxes. Any other font will be converted to images formats because the font used may not be installed on the viewing machine.

Can you receive emails from other accounts when Wi-Fi is off?
Make sure Cellular Data is on in Settings > General > Network.

The eye icon on my layers are not turning off and on. why is this?

I use Photoshop CC. Here is what I did:
I first did a duplicate layer of the background and did a high pass filter on it, I then opened a new layer with a visible stamp on it and did some clamp tool changes and some patch tool changes and some dodge and burn changes, I then opened another new layer with a visible stamp on to blur my background. Following that I did a few new layers (without the visible stamp) to add some definition to my subject's eyes and grouped them. Now when i try and see what my photo looked like before, by switch the eye icon off, it doesn't work. Why is this??

If you made changes only above the background layer ans did not change the background layer when you turn the visibility of the layers above the background off you should see your original image. Some screen captures showing the steps and layer stack in the layers palette would be helpful. A stamp visible layers layer will cover what in layers below make sure all layers above the background have their visibility icon off. So only the background layer is displayed.

Solid amber on an AirPort Extreme is an indication that the internal power supply is starting to act up.
If the AirPort Extreme is in warranty, it shouid be exchanged for another AirPort Extreme.
If the AirPort Extreme is several years old, keep any eye on things. When/if you find that you are having to reset the device several times a week, it's time to start thinking about a replacement device, as the end is near.

I Use Open Sans - Web Safe Font And The Text Turns Into An Image. Why?

When I use Open Sans the text becomes an image and when I use Arial it is text. How do I save Open Sans as text?

Open Sans is available as an Edge Web font.
Which section of the Font menu did you select Open Sans from? If it was selected from the "System Fonts" section of the font menu then it will output as an image. To use the Web Font version, click "Add Web Fonts..." in the font menu then choose "Open Sans" from the available Edge Web Fonts.

Some folders/applications text are highlighted in stacks why?

When I'm in my Applications stack on my dock Microsoft Office 2008 and Microsoft Auto Update are the only files/applications that have the text at the bottom highlighted in gray what is that? Just wondering, I know it's a stupid question.

Go to Mail > Preferences > Rules tab, see if a rule has been set that causes that behavior. If so, remove it.

Can't send videos via text message or email. Why is this??

It keeps telling me "Sorry, you cannot add this video to your message." The videos I've attempted to send are only 3 seconds to 19 seconds. Can't send via email either because they're "too large?"

Picture size can cause missed sends as well, you might try if you haven't a different setting in your camera not sure what phone you have but if your using HD try Non HD see if it'll let it proceed and if your using 720P for Video try a different Video style and you may need to clean your cache for your messaging.. give that a look.

Tries to load a page from site but never loads, Then need to close Mozilla and reopen it. Told that it is already running, not, then often have to do a hard turn off to shut it down. Why is this happening, and what can be done?

When converting a PDF from a scanned image on a Canon MFP, some of the text is jumbled

I am trying to use the Exportpdf.acrobat.com service and when I convert an image that was made into a pdf from Word, it is fine. If I exposrt a pdf that was scanned in from a Canon IR 2030i MFP, some of the text comes out jumbled and un-readable. Is there a certain setting to fix this?

Doc: I've had a similar experience, and here are the details, investigation, and a workaround. My printer is a Brother MFC-645CN, and I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a 2010 iMac quad i5 connected to the printer over my ethernet LAN. Are you using a Brother printer?
Firefox has shown this kind of nasty issue for the past six months or so. It seems to be related to the imaging algorithms in Preview when dealing with Firefox (now at v.12) and the Brother printer -- the screwy second page (and beyond) show up skewed and up-sized when doing a print preview also. No such problem seen in Safari or anything else. I am not currently using any other Mozilla apps on this Mac besides Firefox.
A few months ago I tested printing from my administrator account and a different user account. Firefox printing was completely normal and as expected. When I went back to my main user account, back came the funky second page.I went through extensive troubleshooting to try to chase it down, systematically removing and replacing apps and preferences and many other Library files related to printing, Brother drivers, Firefox, and Preview. Nothing helped. Solution was to migrate my user files to an account where the printing problem wasn't happening. I deleted the problem user account.
Everything was fine for about three weeks, and then with no warning, printing was back to the bad second page, just as before. I am stumped, and I'll let smarter people try to figure it out. I use Firefox a lot, and it's possible that some add-on setting is interfering, or a web page I visited turned the printing funky again. I just don't know.
Also checked on a Mac G4 running Leopard (10.5.8) and Firefox 3.6.28. No printing/preview problems there.
Now, for the work-around I am currently using -- print each page separately, one at a time. Page 1, then page 2, etc. Preview and printing looks completely normal. Hope this works for you until the bug is located and squashed for good.

Is there a way to turn a text character into an image?

Is it possible to turn a text character into an image/shape...using Pages or any other iLife or iWorks app?
Reason being - I want to use a certain font and a character in it, but that particular font is not being recognized/shown properly by another computer. I want to make sure the text character shows up as I intend, and I figure the way to do that is by turning the text character into an image/shape (like a jpeg maybe? or a tiff or gif? I don't know too much about the difference between these last two). Then I can paste that image onto any background and have it still look like text laying on top of the background.
Hope that makes sense, and many thanks in advance for any insights!

Although it saves the text character as an image, it also saves the background (the white of the page) as part of that image. So when the character is pasted into a document whose background is anything other than white, it doesn't look like a simple text character anymore. It looks like a white box with a text character in it. You know what I mean?
I'm thinking I might need to use whole 'nother graphics program to do this whole deal...what do you think?
Rather than using Preview, create the new image from the clipboard in GraphicConverter & use the transparency wand to make the background transparent. Then use ⌘ E to select just the image & save, choosing to save just the selection.
